I had gotten to my class when the door was closed. Great now I will have to knock and draw attention to myself.

Knock knock

The teacher came over to the door and opened it. "You are late miss Lowell"

"Sorry." I muttered as I entered the room and closed the door behind myself. I headed to my seat in the front of the class and sat down.

I opened up my note book and took out my text book. "We are on page ten" the girl sitting beside me said quietly. She didn't want the teacher to hear.

"Thank you" I whispered back and opened the book to the page.

It was easy to follow and I didn't need much help from the teacher. It was math and well not to brag or anything but I am a genius in math.

The hour long class seemed to drag on forever. It was getting harder and harder each year for me to concentrate. I hate this school. The people in it even the teachers. If you were smart you were shunned. If you didn't look a certain way you were trash. I am both.

The bell rang signalling the end of my first class. I quickly gathered up all my stuff and got up from my desk. I was just about to leave the room when a strange sent wafted over me. Vanilla and lilacs a scent I hadn't smelt in this place.

I was pushed backwards. And laughing erupted all around me than I heard a male voice "serves you right looser. Get out of the way." I was shoved once again and this time I fell backwards landing on my butt.

I had dropped my books scattering my papers all over the floor. I scrambled to my knees and started picking up the mess.

"Here let me help you." a soft angelic voice said. "Thank you." I muttered while still gathering papers.

A petite hand holding my papers entered my vision. I looked up and saw a very pretty girl smiling at me.

"Thank you for helping ." I said shyly. I didn't know who this girl was and I knew everyone in this town and the scent from earlier seemed to be coming off of her.

"You are welcome." She said in that angelic voice.

I couldn't help but stare at her. She had short black hair that was spiked all up. Her eyes were copper coloured that could be also a gold colour. But it was hard to tell with the black eyeliner and eye shadow she wore. I let my eyes trail down to her lips that where also covered in black.

She smiled at me than offered her hand "here I will help you up."

The offer was short lived when the girls hand was taken by another one.

"My sweet darling. Don't waist your time on this nerd." The guy said pulling the girl away from me. I felt a pang of disappointment and hmmm... jealousy?

I looked at the boy and saw it was Kevin Chase. He was the future beta of this wolf pack. it was also know that he liked his women. He was the same age as me but stood a foot taller. He was muscular but still looked like a good stiff wind could blow him off his feet

He was also one of the popular boys. I decided that I should look around. I knew Kevin wasn't always alone. He hung out with the alpha and two other betas along with two other members and all their mates.

The pack was called the Porcupine pack. I know weird name but the future alpha is Colin Porcupine. His mate is Janine Snow.

I looked around and sure enough there they all were. Colin came over to me with a snear and kicked my binder away. "You are a worth less piece of shit. If your 'mom' didn't save my fathers life we would have killed you our selves." He said mom with air quotes. And than he started laughing making everyone else laugh. Well everyone except the girl who was trying to help me.

I looked at her and noticed that her one hand was balled into a tight fist. Her jaw was clenched and she looked like she wanted to rip Colin's throat out.

She yanked her arm out of Kyle's grip and came over to me. she than turned around and said threw clenched teeth "leave her be. You should have respect for those of your kind. And if you touch her again I will rip your throat out."

She turned to me again and held out her hand "come on dear lets go."

I took her hand and let her pull me to my feet. She didn't let go of my hand as I walked over to my binder and leaned over to pick it up.

"How dare you speak to the future alpha this way!" Janine said walking over to us. "Just who do you think you are?"

"I am Aeliana." she said.

I watched as Janine instantly bowed her head and became submissive. I looked around and noticed everybody was doing the same thing. Should I also bow? I thought as I too began to lower myself.

"You are fine my dear." Aeliana whispered to me, causing me to stand back up straight.

"My princess we didn't know that you would be here." Colin said while still bowing.

"That was the point. And now my friend and I are going to talk to your father. I would also like for you to go and fetch her mother."

Colin sneered again but didn't say anything he just simply nodded and headed off to do as Aeliana said.

Aeliana looked at Kevin and raised one of her sculpted eyebrows at him. He quickly scurried off to follow Colin.

She than looked at Janine and said "well take me to alpha Johnson."

"Yes of course. Please follow me." Janine said scrambling to organize everyone else.
