Rebecca's POV

I waited for everyone to be asleep. Than I snuck outside. I was going to head into town and find the vampire princess. She needs to know where her daughter is. Where my daughter is. I want to thank her for looking after her and raising her. Emily was no longer my daughter but was the vampires daughter Esarosa.

I had made it safely outside without waking up anyone or having any of the guards notice me. It was easy. If the pack only knew the kind of wolf I was. That was why Esarosa was white. I am grey in colour with white flecks threw out my fur. But I have a power that not even my mate knows of.

I am a rare wolf. There hasn't been any of my kind for a hundred years. I am what they call a ghost wolf. I can walk threw walls. I wonder if my daughter can also?

'Leena can you reach out to Esarosa's wolf?' I asked my wolf. I had shifted into her to make my trip to town shorter.

'I can try.' She said.

Since I had helped to get rid of Esarosa Leena hasn't been wanting to do anything for me. She was being more helpful since I said I wanted to rescue Esarosa. The best part is I wasn't going against my alphas orders. He didn't say I couldn't go to the vampire woman. I just hope she is still at the hospital.

~~~ Alex's POV ~~~

My beautiful friend is gone. I was so angry with myself. I let this happen. Nobody blamed me though. I wanted Esarosa to be my mate. I had a feeling though that she wasn't going to be.

When princess Aeliana got to the house Esarosa had already been missing a week. It saddened me. I have to tell everyone this is all my fault.

I looked around my fathers office. Everyone was so sad. A silence had settled over everyone. I decided that I should tell everyone now. I cleared my throat catching everyone's attention. I took a deep breath and than "it's all my fault. If I wouldn't have went up stairs to have a shower I would have been there to stop this from happening." I blurted out. It was hard not to rush all my words together.

I was surprised when dr. Lowell got up and came over to me. She looked the saddest. I bowed my head to her. I felt ashamed. I didn't expect her to wrap her arms around me and hug me. I really never expected what she said. "Alex this is not your fault. Don't you dare blame yourself. If you were there you could have been hurt. I am thankful that you are safe. We will all find Esarosa together." Her words so kind that I couldn't help but shed some tears.

Dr. Lowell released me from the hug and placed her hands on my cheeks she lightly wiped the tears off with her thumbs. "Don't cry Alex. Stay strong for Esarosa. I do not blame you."

Than her phone rang. She stepped back some more and reached into her pocket. Than she looked at the alpha "with all do respect I have to answer this. Please excuse me."

Alpha Johnson nodded his head and she stepped out of the room closing the door behind her.

"Alex I agree with Dr. Lowell, This is not your fault. Esarosa was coming here anyways. And if this was the work of your brother he probably would have killed you. You now have his position as future alpha." My father said to me.

I looked at him and nodded. This was my fault. And I was going to make it right again.

I was surprised when Alex blurted out that he felt this was all his fault. I wonder if he has feelings for Esarosa.

That thought caused Onyx to growl. Luckily it wasn't out loud. 'Esarosa is our mate. Not his.' she said.

'She doesn't know she is our mate. He doesn't know she is our mate. And as future alpha for this pack it's good that he cares.' I said trying to reason this all out. 'Do you blame him Onyx for what has happened?'

I felt Onyx calm down. I knew she wasn't jealous. I was right after all we hadn't told anyone. 'I don't blame him.' She said finally. 'And I am jealous. He has been spending time with her.'

I smiled though it was a sad smile. Onyx was right he did spend a lot of time with her.

'Onyx can you reach Alex's wolf? I have a plan."
