Tonya POV

I had looked at the time and saw that my mate wasn't coming. I had figured that he wasn't going to take me out for supper so I made us a romantic meal. To be honest it was nicer cause at home I didn't have to eat the food.

I stormed towards his office and heard him talking to Bryan. I got furious when he used his alpha tone on his best friend.

I knocked on the door and waited for him to answer. "Enter."

I strode into the office "You promised me a night out. It's Valentine's Day." I said.

I watched as he looked at his phone.

I was so disappointed and angry "You forgot didn't you? You have been so h*ll bent on revenge that you forgot what day it is."

I knew he had went to concur some pack that he said had broken some laws. I didn't go with him. I stayed to help protect the pups.

I heard Bryan whimpered slightly.

I looked over to him. "Sorry Bryan. Please leave." I said trying to lighten my tone of voice.

He got up bowed and left the room almost at a run. I felt sorry for him I didn't mean to hurt him. I vowed I would make it up to him.

I turned back to John "Well?"

He stood up and growled at me. "How dare you question me." He said using his alpha tone on me.

That made me very angry so I hissed at him. I bared my fangs in frustration and anger "how dare you use that tone on me. Do you forget who I am?" I hissed.

I was kinda surprised when he submitted and bowed slightly. "Sorry my love. I know who you are. You are my beautiful mate. A vampire and my luna." He replied quietly.

"And?" I asked him still angry.

He didn't get a chance to reply when my phone rang. I dug it out and looked at the caller i.d.. I was surprised to see it was my sisters number. I slid my finger across the screen to unlock it and answered. "Hello Jennie. What's up?"....."oh really?"...."are you sure?" ...."ok.".... "mhmm. are you coming here?"....."great. see you in a bit." I said hanging up. I glared at John.

"What was the name of the pack you tried to beat?" I asked him.

"None of your business, My love." He replied.

"None of business?!!!" I yelled at him.
"That pack is ran by my niece and her mate. How dare you."

"I said it was none of your business." He growled out at me.

We were growling and hissing at each other when I heard "mommy. Is it true Aunty Jennie is coming?" Our daughter, Emerald asked.

We both stopped fighting and looked down at her. Emerald was seven and very unique. She is a hybrid. Half vampire and half werewolf. When a vampire finds their mate they can have a child, one every seven years though. My oldest is Emery. He is fourteen.

"Yes she is coming. so you should go and get ready." I said

She smiled and skipped out of the office. "Ok mommy" she said as she headed out.

"Your sister is coming here?" John asked.

"Yes." I said

He growled again and muttered "just my luck."

I turned on him "she wants answers. And I will help her get them. Or our parents will be here. Would you prefer that?"

He growled but didn't say anything.

"I am going to prepare for her arrival. If you are hungry there is food in our private dinning room." I turned and walked out of the office. This wasn't going to be good. If John didn't answer my sisters questions it could end badly for him.

A vampire could live with the death of their mate. Jennie lived everyday without hers. Sadly she never had her own children. Her mate was killed two years into their relationship. Now she could never have any. I was so happy that she found Esarosa. So she could at least have a child.

King Jaxson's POV

I had been searching and searching trying to find out everything I could about Alpha John's pack.

"Well I want you to do research. Find out everything you can." I said into the receiver of my phone.

"Jax look I am not interesting in getting into this fight." My brother, Winston said.

I growled at him. I was the oldest of five boys and I was the king. Three of my brothers were alpha's of their own pack and Daniel stayed and worked for me. He was next in age to me. And he valued my life. And protected me.

"Winston please just do it. Your territory is the next closest. I would ask alpha Johnson of the Porcupine pack but his pack would have to cross this one and he would have to tell them why he wants threw." I said trying to plead with my baby brother.

I heard him sigh and than "alright brother. For Aeliana I will check into it. Know this though. I am not thrilled my niece is mated to another girl and I am equally not happy that my great niece is there."

It was my turn to sigh "I know Winstone either." Than I hung up the phone and went down stairs to talk to my daughter.

"Hello my love. Where have you been?" Elena asked me.

"On the phone with Winston." I replied to her.

"I hope everything is good with him." She replied as she flipped some pancakes onto a plate.

"He is. Are these for me?"

"Yup. Keira and Monique are looking for Esarosa and Aeliana. The rest of the pack will be here shortly." She replied.

"My queen do you need help?" a teenage girl asked my wife.

"Yes please Sam. That would be great."

The girl smiled brightly and set to work helping prepare food for the whole pack.

We had servants for this but as I watched my wife work along side the girl I realized she was happier. She smiled more.

"Queen Elena you should have told me you were cooking. I would have come sooner to help." Rebecca said entering the kitchen.

"Non sense. You do most of the cooking around here already. I am giving you a break sit and enjoy." Elena said smiling at the woman.

We have all became close the past couple of years. And I understood more about how Esarosa was raised by Jennie.

Thinking about her I asked "where is Jennie?"

"She went to visit her family. Something about her mother being ill." Rebecca said sounding kinda confused.

"Ill? I hope it's nothing serious." I said.

"I am not exactly sure. And I didn't want to pry. I didn't think it was really my business. She was talking with Esarosa and I came in." Rebecca said looking down at the floor. "Keira please come out from under the table." She said as she got up and stepped aside.

"Aww you are no fun Rebecca. I wanted to scare my grandpa." She said.

"I am sorry Keira but you grabbed my leg."

"Sorry." Keira said than jumped up into my lap. Even though Keira was three she was very gifted in the shadows. I was even more curious though if she was also an elemental.

"Where is your Aunty.?" I asked her.

She shrugged her shoulders. "Can't find them." Than she saw the food "can I have some?" she asked

"Of course here you are."

"Thank you grandma." she said smiling and taking a piece.

The door opened and Daniel walked in. He looked angry.

"What's wrong?" I asked as I set Keira down and turned to my brother.

"Why didn't you tell me?" he asked.

"Tell you what Daniel. And please calm down."
