Your Story
Zakum POV
After getting some hours of sleep, I got more curious of this human, he wasn't like the other humans that I have witnessed. Back at my village we were told stories about the sky people and how we all fought them and sent them back to their dying world. That story has been told throughout the years, ever since I was young, but now since the sky people returned, I never would have thought I would be with one.
What is strange about this one is that he's not like the other sky people. I had a hard time trusting him at first but in the end he didn't leave me towards any traps so I owe him my life. He did lead us away from the humans and from my tribe chasing after me.
But what I'm concerned about is that he's not like them. Even when I had my weapon on him, he didn't draw his, and he even let us to safety.
I was curious if he was similar to the humans or not. And the structure that we were saying in didn't look like the ones the sky people have. This structure looked a lot different than the sky peoples.
And the weapons that were held in here didn't look like the sky people's weapons that they used. This human was not like the others, it's like that he is somewhat like me, a lost soul trying to find his purpose in life.
After I was cast out of my tribe I felt like nothing but an outcast. The human also said that he felt the same way as well from where he came from.
But I want to know more about him so that I could trust him and understand him more.
Y/n POV
Right now I was finishing up on working my wrist lazer. I was given it an upgrade to where the beam can shoot farther and have more damage from one shot. My robot companion soxs was on charge so that he can rest while I finish working on some new materials.
It has only been a day since I met Zakum, and it has been my first contact with an alien. People back at Star command wouldn't believe this. Even though the planet T'Kani Prime has its own aliens but not humanoid aliens. Everyone back at boot camp would be so jealous of me meeting my first alien.
I'm proving them all wrong back at star command and I'll continue doing so. And no one's going to stop me.
Zakum: "Human."
Turning around to see my alien companion standing right behind me.
Y/n: "Oh Zakum, what do you need?"
Zakum: "Human I would like to know more about you and where you come from."
Y/n: "Oh I see, what would you like to know?"
Zakum: "Where are you from Human?"
Y/n: "Well I'm from a planet called T'Kani Prime. But my people were from Earth like the sky people as you prefer them as. We are both the same species but we're on different planets.
Zakum: "So you are sky people."
Y/n: "Well yes and no."
Now my blue alien friend seems more confused more than what I meant.
Y/n: "Let's put it like this, I'm human just like them, but I'm not doing what they're doing to your home. I'm trying to help save you guys from them cuz what they're doing is wrong. I'm a space ranger not a world taker and that's just wrong."
He
Y/n: "And I should have been wearing my suit ever since I got away from them. So I would had some protection from being shot at."
Zakum: "What do you mean?"
Y/n: "See for yourself"
I pointed over to the corner.
He looks over at what I was pointing at and when he finds what I was pointing at he just stares. Over where my finger was pointing at was a glass case that had a suit of armor in it. But it was no ordinary armor, it was a suit but not just the suit, it was the suit that space rangers wear.
He just stares at it before looking at me with confusion.
Zakum: "What is it?"
Y/n: "It's a suit for space rangers."
Zakum: "That's what you are supposed to wear?"
Y/n: "Yes, respect the suit, this suit means something, it's not just protecting your body, it's protecting the universe."
This seems to surprise him, he walks up to get a better look, he was fascinated by the design of it.
Zakum: "Fascinating, please tell me more."
Y/n: "This suit protects your body from anything that wants to kill you. It also has many different features. It has a wrist communicator on the left arm where we can communicate and check to see if the air is breathable on any planet we step on. It also has three unique buttons that can help you in serious situations.
Zakum: "Like what?"
Y/n: "Simple the green button can camouflage your entire body."
Zakum: "Camouflage?"
Y/n: "Yes, but there's a timer, and when that timer goes out I'm no longer invisible."
Zakum: "Ohh."
Y/n: "The other buttons do something else but back to the main subject. You asked me something so let me ask something about you."
Zakum: "And what's that?"
Y/n: "Why are you an outcast?"
The taller boy froze for a moment then turning away from me.
Y/n: "I'm sorry. I should not ask so suddenly-"
Zakum: "I wanted peace."
Y/n: "Say what now?"
Slowly the tall blue boy turned up around to face me again.
Zakum: "I wanted peace between the sky people and our tribe."
Now the pieces are all coming together.
Y/n: "You weren't running from the RDA, you were running from your own people."
Slowly he nods, now I'm starting to see clearly, while he was running from his kind, and I was running from mine. I guess all he wanted was peace between humans and Na'vi and I guess that didn't go so well. From what I can tell he tried to tell his people that peace was the key but they refused.
And now they treated him like trash and threw him out. His whole tribe and his family just threw him away. Now he's running away from them and who knows what they'll do to him if they catch him. Now I understand why he's an outcast.
I know how that feels to be looked down upon.
Y/n: (Sigh) "Look, I'm sorry for what happened, and it must have been hard on you."
He nods, he then looks down at the floor, I can see how bad he's hurting. Maybe I should tell him about myself then.
Y/n: "I know how you feel because.... I've been there."
Immediately he looks up from the ground and looks at me.
Zakum: "You do?"
Y/n: "Yes, you see back on my home world, I was treated differently from everyone else. My parents were well known people on my planet. When I was young they went on a mission, they were only supposed to be gone for a week, but weeks turn into months. They never came back. A lot of people blame me for them leaving. They were twi of the best space rangers that we ever had.
Zakum: "Oh my..."
Y/n: "When they didn't come back I was treated differently. Commander Burnside was hard on me and he knew my parents very well. He was very hard on me and maybe trained harder than any other cadets. Even they were hard on me and made fun of me all the time. The only family I have left is soxs and my aunt Kiko. My aunt has been the only one taking care of me ever since."
After I finish there was a long silence between us. I kept myself from trying to show any sign of sadness.
Zakum: "I am so sorry for the loss of your family."
Y/n: "Don't be it's in the past now. Now you and I know one thing."
Zakum: "And what's that?"
Y/n: "We are both outcasts, trying to help our people, and prove everyone wrong."
Zakum smiles, now he understands we are both alike, we are both fighting for what's right for everyone.
Y/n: "You know what you would make a great space ranger."
Zakum: "You mean it?"
Y/n: "Of course I do but you won't have a suit like mine."
Zakum: "Why?"
Y/n: "You're bigger than a human and you also have a tail."
Zakum: "Ohh."
Y/n: "But I think I can make you something to start out with. Would you like that?"
He thinks for a moment before giving me his answer.
Zakum: "I would be honored."
Y/n: "All right let's get started."
