When I was a child,
A movie about Christ,
My parents let see,
Forgetting that when sacrificed,
The screams and the sound,
Too much for my age,
Still till this day,
I'm not over that stage,

I know that he died,
For me and my sins,
But after seeing it indirectly,
It keeps making me think,
That I am not worthy,
For how could I be?
How could he go through that,
Just to save someone like me?

Night after night,
I would get nightmares and fight,
Twist and turn in my sleep,
Not knowing if flight or freeze,
Would keep me safe,
From the past that makes my heart ache...

When I was a child,

"Beware of the beasts mark,"
And that was the day,
I tried to escape,
The dark of the night,
For in late quiet hours,
Darkness, awoke fright,

Night after night,
I would get nightmares and fight,
Twist and turn in my sleep,
Not knowing if flight or freeze,
Would keep me safe,
From the future that would soon awake...

What can I do?
When my nightmares are coming true?
What can I do?
When the darkness keeps pushing through?What can I do?
When I cry myself to sleep?
What can I do?
I don't know so I pray to you-

LORD!
Hear my prayer,
Do not let the fear fill up another layer,

LORD!
Hear my plea,
For I am nothing without you in me,

LORD!
Help me please,
Do not let the fear control me,

LORD!
Help me let go,
Of the control that turns my fingers blue,

LORD!
Help me see,
That no matter what happens to me,
You have a plan,

LORD!
Help me be,
Who you want me to be,

LORD!
Help me believe,
That your word is true,
That I'm truly free,

LORD!
Help me believe,
That if it is your will that I sleep safe,
I will,
And if it is your will that I don't,
I will still have peace,
Till the very end,
