Sometimes I Wonder
Sometimes I wonder father,
Why I get pulled back into deep waters,
Maybe cause I strayed,
And should stay in a whale a while,
Or perhaps to trust you on a stormy sea,
A faith trial,
You see...
I can do nothing on my own,
All I know is that this pain I've always known,
Can not compare to the joy I'll show,
When I see my LORD upon his throne,
LORD let me sing to glorify you,
LORD help me pray and tell you,
"Not my will, but yours be done,"
Just like Christ said,
Your only begotten son.
Sometimes I wonder father,
Why spiders seam to follow me around,
Maybe cause I strayed,
And should pray about it,
Or perhaps to trust you,
When I get ow so afraid,
You see...
I can do nothing on my own,
All I know is that this fear I've always known,
Can not compare to the peace I'll know,
When I choose to let go of my greed for control,
LORD let me sing to glorify you,
LORD help me pray and tell you,
"Not my will, but yours be done,"
Just like Christ said,
Your only begotten son.
Sometimes I wonder father,
Why I get betrayed by people I thought I could trust,
Maybe cause I strayed,
And should stay alone with you a while,
Or perhaps to forgive and see,
That friends of this world,
Is not a necessity,
A trust trial,
You see...
I can do nothing on my own,
All I know is that this defensiveness I've always known,
Can not compare to the trust I'll give,
When I choose to bring it to my God who let me live,
LORD let me sing to glorify you,
LORD help me pray and tell you,
"Not my will, but yours be done,"
Just like Christ said,
Your only begotten son.
LORD give me patience,
LORD give me strength,
LORD show us mercy,
Give me to eat,
When I am hungry,
LORD give me patience,
LORD give me strength,
LORD show us peace,
Give me to drink,
When I am thirsty,
Sometimes I wonder father,
Why I keep feeling unworthy of being your daughter,
Maybe cause I stay,
And feel guilt beyond compare,
Or perhaps because I know how little I am,
Even so you have counted every hair,
Help me see...
That I can do nothing on my own,
All I know is that this fear, pain and heartache,
Jesus too has been shown,
And what I feel can not compare,
To what he felt as he was hanging there,
For my sins, for our sins to get paid,
In a grave he was laid,
But after three days, he rose again,
LORD let me sing to glorify you,
LORD for he prayed then, to show me today,
That: "Not my will, but yours be done,"
Is what I should say,
Just like Christ did,
Your only begotten son.
Sometimes I wonder,
Something I wonder,
Why I am shaken,
Why I am shaken,
I need to remember
That I'm never forsaken,
Sometimes I wonder,
Sometimes I wonder,
Why I am crying,
Why I am crying,
I need to remember,
That I'm not forsaken,
Sometimes I wonder,
Sometimes I wonder,
Why I am fighting,
Why I am fighting,
Myself over and over,
For I'm not forsaken...
In Jesus Christ name,
AMEN
