Thank you LORD for a calmer night,
Help me not to go back to that fright,
Help me not,
To like Peter sink,
Seeing all the dangers,
Making me think:
That they are too great for God,
For they are not,
I know the cause,
I asked him to tie up my knots,
"Help me Lord, to trust and find peace"
For once in a long time,
I can say fear has ceased,
I can say that I have,
Even in a late,
Or in an early hour,
Found a little peace,
And LORD help me keep it through all things,
Even through panic,
Through hardships,
Through trial,
Catch me as I loose my grip,
Thank you LORD for a calmer night,
