(Emma's P.O.V)

I heard a persistent voice ask me Emma what is wrong, I noticed a slight accent to his voice. Suddenly everything started to blur and I saw someone coming into focus. I sat up fast breathing heavily and the face came closer into focus into was the chief engineer Mr.Scott and behind him was my uncle, and Dr.McCoy wearing very worried expressions. "Jesus Emma do not ever scare me like that, I thought you were being attacked." Jim said really worried. "I am fine I promise just a nightmare."

"A nightmare? Em, you never get nightmares what is this about." Jim asked me. "Nothing, I don't want to talk about it." Jim gave me a very worried look and looked to Bones clearly concerned but just decided to leave it alone. "Ok I have to get to the bridge but Dr.McCoy wants to check you over." Jim said giving me a hug and turning to leave. "Um... Dr. could you give me a moment to change and I will meet you in the med bay ?" "Of course Em." He replied with a sad smile before leaving.

I got up and and walked over to my closet to pull on my blue uniform that stood for me as a medical officer, I then grabbed my blue vans and my locket and bracelet. and then I was off I walked down the hallway as I was about to turn the corner to get to the turbolift I heard Pavel with Scotty in the hall. I quickly turned around and walked down the other hallway.

(Chekov's P.O.V)

I had just gotten ready for my shift and was walking over to the turbolift when I was stopped by Scotty wanting to talk to me. "Ensign, wait up my boy." I turned around to face him he looked worried and I did not like it. "Zir vhat is vrong you seem worried ?" "It's the wee lassy, Ms.Emma she seems upset. I know this is a lot to be asking laddie, but do you know what is wrong with her ?" I tensed at the name

I was still hurt that she had a boyfriend, yes I had just met her only a few months ago but I still felt really connected to her and I really wanted to be with her, but I could not let my emotions get the better of me so I straightened up and replied. "No zir I do not know vhat is wrong vith her." And I turned to walk away into the turbolift. I could not think clearly all I could think about was Emma my Emma in the arms of another guy that was not me.

I wanted to go down to her and ask her if it was true but I could not bear the truth if she was taken. So I just had to try and push my feelings aside and just finish my job. And with that the swish of the lift doors opening signaled my showtime.

(Bones P.O.V)

I was sitting in the med bay setting up some hypos and checking stock when Emma walked in, the poor thing had bruises under her eyes like she had not slept in a while, her hair did not have its usual bounce to it. I called over our head nurse "Yes Dr.McCoy ?" "Could you watch the med bay for a minute while I talk to Em ?" She looked over at Emma gasped and turned back to me and whispered "Take as long as you need sir." And with that she bustled around the bay trying to seem busy. "Emma come with me please."

Her head snapped towards me as I motioned for my office, she hung her head low and walked past me into the open office. Emma had become very close with me in the past few months she was almost like my daughter. "Sit, please. So what has been troubling you ?" I asked as she sat down her gaze never leaving the floor. "Em you know you can talk to me sweetheart nothing will leave this roo-."

I was cut off by a heart breaking sob that came from her lips. "Oh Em come here." I said as I motioned for her to come into my arms she complied and I locked my arms around her letting her feel safe. "I-I'm sorry B-Bones." She sobbed into my shirt "Hush darlin, you've done nothing wrong. What happened." "Pa-Pavel." She hiccupped "What happened ?" "He-he won't talk to m-me and I had a-a dr-dream that he-he hated me." She sobbed "Oh Emma it's ok it was just a dream it was not real." I hushed just rocking her back and forth while I just let cry.

(Kirk's P.O.V)

From the minute he stepped onto the bridge I know something was wrong he just could not seem to keep his head straight. I had to talk with him. I walked over to my first officer and whispered "Spock you have the comm. Ensign with me, now." He kept his head low assuming he was in trouble. But when we turned into rec room 4 he got a confused. "Zir am I not in trouble ?" "No son, no. You seem distracted, what is troubling you then Chekov ?" "Zir you must promize me something, it can never leave this room." He seemed panicked "Ok, sure Pavel." I said trying to make him feel comfortable. "It's Emma zir, she, she haz a boyfriend."

At this I had to laugh a little but stopped when he shot me death daggers. "Pavel she does not have a boyfriend." "Zir thank you but I have to go now." He stood up and swiftly left.

(Emma's P.O.V)

After about an hour in Bones' office he said I could have the day off so I was walking out of med bay and I ran into Hikaru "oh hey Hikaru." I said softly "Hey Emma, are you ok you seem sad ?" He seemed concerned and I liked that about him. "Ya I am fine Pasha- I mean Mr.Chekov is just acting weird around me and it made me feel uneasy." I replied sounding like a lost puppy, "Hey that is just how he is do not let it get to you." By now we had stopped walking and we were close together our noses almost touched. "Do not ever let anyone ever make you feel like that." And with that he wrapped my arms around me.

(Chekov's P.O.V)

I got up and swiftly walked out of the rec room with steam practically coming out of my ears how could he do this to me Hikaru is my friend how could he lie to me and make me treat Em like she was nothing I stormed down to his room and 'knocked' on his door when he did not answer I kept walking until I saw him with Emma so I just listened from behind the corner. "Ya I am fine Pasha- I mean Mr.Chekov is just acting weird around me and it made me feel uneasy."

I heard Emma say sounding so broken and it made me feel terrible, but then I heard Hikaru say "Hey that is just how he is do not let it get to you." Then I looked around the corner and saw them so close together and I felt anger rise up in my chest and then I saw him put her in his arms and that is when I lost it. I turned around the corner and walked towards them "Hikaru Sulu step away from her."
