Fear of Forgiveness
I considered forgiveness
As I watched the cool wind,
Soft like a whisper,
Bring life to an old building.
I remembered pain,
Dull like a slow bullet,
Which stole breaths
Rather than cut flesh,
And I found behind all
My attempts of serenity
Was forever a cold fear
That brought life to old emotions.
Forgiveness finds peace,
Peace was Death,
Death is feared,
And Fear wants immortality.
