Who Am I?

I started on Wattpad back in the spring semester of 2020. During that time, I was writing a few novels and didn't know if I wanted to share them or not. A group of friends led me to Wattpad, and the rest is history. My favorite things about Wattpad are the friends I have made and the many opportunities this platform presents to its audience. I love the book clubs, writing prompts, and various contests hosted on the platform.

7 QUESTIONS

1. What prompted you to start writing on Wattpad and what do you like most about the platform as a writer?
I started on Wattpad back in the spring semester of 2020. During that time, I was writing a few novels and didn't know if I wanted to share them or not. A group of friends led me to Wattpad, and the rest is history. My favorite things about Wattpad are the friends I have made and the many opportunities this platform presents to its audience. I love the book clubs, writing prompts, and various contests hosted on the platform. 

2. What has been your most rewarding Wattpad experience?

My most rewarding Wattpad experience has been being a book mentor. Every summer for the last two years, I have been a mentor for the Bootcamp Mentorship Program. This program has helped me grow as a writer and has allowed me to encourage other aspiring authors to better themselves on Wattpad and beyond. 

3. If you had to describe your story in three words, what would they be?
Humorous, dramatic, and romantic. 

4. Tell us one thing about your writing process that has helped you the most.
One of my favorite writing exercises before starting a new novel is to write a potential blurb for a story. Next, I invent a title and make an inspiring cover to go with it. Seeing a new book cover helps me remember what my characters look like and sometimes gives me inspiration for the plotline at hand. 

5. What is your proudest moment as a writer? Do you have a memory you will never forget?
My proudest moment was getting published for the first time. It made me feel like I could have a career as a writer. One of my best author memories was when I got invited to a local writer's group. It was nice to meet with a group of like-minded people with a common goal of writing fiction stories. 

6. Which of your books is your favourite, and why that one?
My favorite novel is Not Like Me. I love the love triangle between the main character, Ashley Tudor, and her two love interests. It's relatable because we all go through times in our youth when we are torn between people or difficult situations. This is why coming-of-age stories are essential for the upcoming generation. They need characters that represent them and that they can relate to.
