S.H.I.E.L.D had a floating airplane landing strip on the ocean, driving it along through the water.
A helicopter flew closer.
Steve and Bree were sitting inside with Phil.
"So, this Dr. Banner was trying to replicate the serum they used on both of us?" Steve asked.
"A lot of people were," Phil answered. "You were the world's first superheroes. Banner thought gamma radiation might hold the key to unlocking Erskine's original formula."
"Didn't really go his way, did it?" Bree asked.
"Not so much," Phil answered. "When he's not that thing, though, the guy's like a Stephen Hawking." Steve and Bree looked at him in confusion. "He's like a smart person. I gotta say, it's an honor to meet you officially. I've sort of met you. I mean, I watched you while you were sleeping. I mean, I was present while you were unconscious from the ice." Steve stood, walking toward the front of the helicopter to see where they were going. "You know, it's really just a huge honor to have both of you on board this."
Bree looked over a file. "I hope we're the guys for the job."
"Oh, you are," Phil told them. "Absolutely. We made some modifications to your uniforms. I had a little design input."
Bree looked up. "The uniforms? Aren't the stars and stripes a little... old-fashioned?"
"With everything that's happening, and the things that are about to come to light, people might just need a little old-fashioned," Phil told them.
Bree considered this, looking down.

There was lab being used by Loki and the people that he had taken with the scepter.
Solveig was working over a device.
Loki watched for a moment. He looked at the scepter in his hands, closing his eyes, opening them.
He seemed to be in a different place entirely.
A sort of alien called the Other walked closer. "The Chitauri grow restless."
"Let them gird themselves," Loki told him. "I will lead them in the glorious battle."
"Battle?" the Other repeated. "Against the meager might of Earth?"
"Glorious, not lengthy," Loki told him. "If your force is as formidable as you claim."
"You question us?" the Other asked. "You question him, he who put the scepter in your hand? Who gave you ancient knowledge and new purpose when you were cast out, defeated?"
"I was a king," Loki told him. "The rightful king of Asgard, betrayed."
"Your ambition is little and born of childish need," the Other told him. "We look beyond the Earth to the greater worlds the Tesseract will unveil."
"We don't have the Tesseract yet," Loki told him. The Other rushed closer, his hand raised as if to strike him. "I don't threaten. But until I open the doors, until your force is mine to command, you are but words."
"You will have your war, Asgardian," the Other told him. "If you fail, if the Tesseract is kept from us, there will be no realm, no barren moon, no crevice where he cannot find you. You think you know pain? He will make you long for something as sweet as pain."
The Other put his hand on his head.
Loki pulled out of the short visit into where he was still sitting in the lab, his head tilted the side as if the touch from the Other had actually hurt. He took a few deep breaths.

The helicopter landed on the airplane landing strip in the ocean.
Natasha and Ana were walking along toward the helicopter, in their suits.
Phil, Bree and Steve walked off the helicopter.
Natasha and Ana walked closer.
"Natasha and Anastasia Romanoff, meet Bree and Steve Rogers," Phil told them.
Steve nodded to them. "Ma'ams."
"Hi," Ana told them.
Natasha looked at Phil. "They need you on the bridge. They're starting the face trace."
"I'll see you there," Phil told them, walking away.
Bree, Steve, Ana and Natasha continued to walk.
"It was quite the buzz around here, finding you in the ice," Ana told them. "I thought Coulson was gonna swoon. Did he ask you to sign his Captain America and Star Mistress trading cards yet?"
Bree looked at them in surprise. "Trading cards?"
"They're vintage," Natasha told them. "He's very proud."
Bruce walked toward them.
"Dr. Banner," Steve told him.
Bruce shook Steve's hand. "Yeah, hi." He shook Bree's hand. "They told me you would be coming."
"Word is, you can find the cube," Bree told him.
"Is that the only word on me?" Bruce asked.
"Only word I care about," Bree answered.
Bruce looked around the military-teeming air landing. "It must be strange for you, all of this."
"Well, this is actually kind of familiar," Steve told him.
"Dr. Banner, this is one of my daughters, Anastasia," Natasha told him. "She likes to be called Ana. She will be helping lead the team to save Agent Clint and the lost Agent Romanoff, Tatiana."
"You might want to step inside in a minute," Ana told them. "It's going to get a little hard to breathe."
Man: (on PA) "Flight crew, secure the deck."
"Is this a submarine?" Steve asked.
"Really?" Bruce asked. "They want me in a submerged, pressurized, metal container?" They walked toward the edge of the landing strip to look into the ocean. Airplane blades were twirling underneath the water, creating whirlpools, starting to fly. "No, no, this is much worse."
Everyone walked inside.
The airplane flew into the sky.

Inside, Natasha and Ana led Steve, Bree and Bruce down the hallway into a command center.
A team of computer experts were sitting at their computers, working away.
Steve, Bruce and Bree walked around the room to take a look around.
Agent Maria Hill looked at Nick. "We're level, sir."
"Good," Nick told them. "Let's vanish."
"Engage retro-reflection panels," Maria told them.
The team did as told.
The plane seemed to disappear.
Nick walked toward Steve, Bree and Bruce. "Hello." Bree walked away to get a clear look around. Nick walked toward Bruce, offering his hand. "Doctor, thank you for coming."
Bruce shook his hand. "Thanks for asking nicely. So, how long am I staying?"
"Once we get our hands on the Tesseract, you're in the wind," Nick answered.
Bruce nodded. "Where are you with that?"
Nick pointed at Phil.
"We're sweeping every wirelessly accessible camera on the planet," Phil told them. "Cell phones, laptops..." Natasha was kneeling next to a computer with a picture of Clint and Tatiana, worried. "If it's connected to a satellite, it's eyes and ears for us."
"That's still not gonna find them in time," Natasha told them.
"You have to narrow your field," Bruce told them. "How many spectrometers do you have access to?"
"How many are there?" Nick asked.
"Call every lab you know," Bruce told them, taking off his jacket. "Tell them to put the spectrometers on the roof and calibrate them for gamma rays. I'll rough out a tracking algorithm, basic cluster recognition. At least we could rule out a few places." Nick nodded. "Do you have somewhere for me to work?"
Natasha nodded.
"Natasha, could you show Dr. Banner to his laboratory, please?" Nick asked.
Natasha stood, walking closer. "You're gonna love it, Doc. We got all the toys."
Bruce and Natasha walked out, leaving.
Ana knelt next to the computer Natasha had been looking at, looking at the picture of Clint and Tatiana, also worried.

The lab with Loki's slaves was still teeming.
Tatiana and Clint were still in their suits.
Solveig looked at a man. "Put it over there." He looked at Clint. "Where did you find all these people?"
"S.H.I.E.L.D has no shortage of enemies, Doctor," Clint told him.
Tatiana walked closer, showing Solveig a tablet. "Is this the stuff you need?"
"Yeah, iridium," Solveig answered. "It's found in meteorites. It forms anti-protons. It's very hard to get hold of."
Tatiana lowered the tablet. "Especially if S.H.I.E.L.D knows you need it."
"Well, I didn't know," Solveig told them. Loki walked closer. "Hey. The Tesseract has shown me so much. It's more than knowledge. It's truth."
"I know," Loki told them. He looked at Tatiana and Clint. "What did it show you?"
Clint turned to face him. "Our next target."
"Tell me what you need," Loki told them.
Clint walked toward his briefcase, opening it, taking out a bow and a quiver of arrows. "We need a distraction. And an eyeball."
Ⓐ
On the plane, everyone was still doing what they could to find Loki, Tatiana, Clint, Solveig and the others.
Phil and Steve were talking.
"I mean, if it's not too much trouble," Phil told him.
"No, no," Steve told him. "It's fine."
"It's a vintage set," Phil told him. "It took me a couple of years to collect them all. Near mint. Slight foxing around the edges, but..." Steve smiled a small smile. "I would want to ask your sister to sign, but she seems to be going through a lot right now."
They looked toward where Bree was looking out of the windows to the ocean outside.
Steve sighed. "Yeah. She is."
"We got a hit," a man told them. "A 67% match. Wait. Cross match, 79%."
Phil walked closer. "Location?"
"Stuttgart, Germany, 28 Kanigstrasse," the man answered. There was a picture of Loki on the screen. "He's not exactly hiding."
"Captain, Star?" Nick asked. Steve and Bree looked at Nick. "You're up."
Steve and Bree nodded.
