convince yourself that you actually want to get out of this tiring chain. it may sound stupid, but many people actually get comfortable with depression, it becomes a part of their routine and doing anything out of that spectrum, actually makes their condition worse.
the first step towards conquering depression is to let it go.
you may think that it is the feeling that is holding onto you, but it is actually the other way round.
as much as you hate to admit, you, yourself, get so attached, so used to the self depreciating feeling that you begin to believe that it's only you alone against the gruesome battle that is your life.
it's not true.
your life may be the simplest rendition, the most average one just like everyone around you but the feeling makes you believe that it's actually way worse. it paints a horrible picture of reality, a picture that you trust more than what you actually know. and then, you get used to that picture.
so the first step of getting out of depression, is letting it go. you need to stop holding onto this feeling to make you feel accepted, loved, to make you feel like it's the only thing in the goddamned world that would be ready to listen to you.
hold onto yourself. not this feeling.
