i'm taking a bath

when the water runs out.

i'm too shy to yell

and tell them to turn

the motor on. so

i look around, and see

in the corner

water from the dripping tap

has gathered in a bucket.

i bathe in it.

then go out and turn

the motor on so that

no one else has to.

if someone is stupid enough

to ask me to write

my autobiography

i'll tell them

see what i did with the water?

that's what life's done with me.
