Honestly Daewon wasn't paying attention. Being up against an artist like Royal Flush he didn't think he stood a chance at winning. Despite wanting to win the award Daewon was satisfied with losing because he was standing on the same stage as the Autumn Lee. So there he was rocking back and forth on his feet anticipating the confetti guns to go off and for the mcs Jun and Sanghee to announce Royal Flush as this weeks winners. However the mcs turned to him passing along the trophy and bouquet of flowers taking him by surprise. Daewon's brain took a second to catch up with reality and very slowly he brings his microphone up to his mouth but the words would come. With a huge smile he turns to look beside him ready to exclaim his excitement only to frown a bit when he realized his team wasn't there. Knowing he's on camera Daewon doesn't falter for long as he smiles once more.

"Congratulations Kim Daewon!" Jun says with a smile. 

"Thank you"

"Daewon-nim please tell us how you feel" Sanghee says next. 

"A-ahh to be honest I'm really surprised to have this win. I didn't I'd be winning tonight so I dont have a speech planned" he says causing everyone around him to chuckle "I guess I'll just say thank you to all MOA and Dae-lys who have supported me on this journey and thank you to the txt members who sent me messages and who always gave me lots of encouragement. I will continue to do my best and give my best performance," concluding his speech Daewon gives a finger heart with his free hand before the camera pans away from him to focus on the mcs for a moment while they say their outro before going back to Daewon for his encore stage. 

Daewon bows to everyone as they walk off stage as he does a little dance while singing his song. Once everyone cleared off stage he started swaying on stage singing when suddenly his backup dancers ran on stage behind him joining for his encore. 

Jia, the dancer who showed up to practice everyday with pigtails, stands on the side of him poking at his cheek, causing Daewon to laugh. After a few seconds she joins the others in the proper formation to do the back up dance with the others. Daewon dances around with the group with a smile on his face but in all his joy he missteps causing him to roll his ankle. Thankfully he makes a quick recovery but it doesn't make it hurt less. 

Once the encore stage was finally concluded Daewon does his best to walk off stage like nothing was wrong but once it was over his shoulders slumped and he began to limp. 

"You ok? I saw that trip. Is your ankle ok?" Jia questions placing a hand on Dae's shoulder. 

" 'm fine. I'll just rest up and put some ice on it," he says, waving it off. 

"Good. You better take care of yourself" she playfully threatens before leaving him to join the others in the separate room. Daewon limps down the hall to his dressing room ready to finally sit but the second the door opens he hears a roar of cheers.

"YOU WON OH MY GOSH YOU WON!" Beomgyu says, launching himself into Daewon's arms. Daewon hardly has a second to catch Beomgyu as he stumbles back causing him to put more strain on his ankle. Not wanting to worry Beomgyu or the group Daewon grits his teeth while breathing heavily to not let his pain be known. 

"Hey Beomie" he chuckles using one arm to hold Beomgyu up while the other ruffles the boys hair. 

"Beom move I want to hug Daewon!" Yeonjun groans trying to get Beomgyu to let go of Daewon but the younger was persistent with holding onto his hyung as his legs tighten around Daewon and he buries his face in Dae's neck.

"Fine whatever," Yeonjun says as he settles for a side hug and presses a kiss to Daewons temple. 

"So proud of you" 

"Thank you hyung" Daewon mutters through a sniffle. The tears were starting to gather in his eyes now. 

"Aw are you going to cry?" Beomgyu teases as he lifts his head from Daewon's neck. 

"Shut up you" Daewon sniffles. Beomgyu smiles before pressing a messy kiss to the tip of Daewon's nose before hopping down. 

"Congrats babe!" Soobin says, presenting a second bouquet of flowers, lilacs like in his 'What Do You Seen questioning film. 

"Thank you," Daewon giggles as he takes the flowers. He leans in to give Soobin a quick kiss and a side hug. 

"You were great hyungie! The best!" Kai exclaims as he back hugs Daewon while giving his tummy a small rub. The four members stay surrounding Daewon talking to him about his win and other miscellaneous things that had happened throughout the day. When they finally broke apart from him Daewon shyly walked over to Taehyun who'd been waiting for him patiently. 

"I-I won" he mutters feeling a bit shy. 

"I saw,"Taehyun says simply at first before taking a few steps to wrap Daewon in a hug which would surprise moa if they were here to see it. He and Taehyun's relationship on camera always seemed like your typical Tom and Jerry relationship but deep down these two cared for each other and are great friends. 

Back when they all shared one small room and Taehyun and Daewon shared a bunk they spent many late nights sharing their dreams as a group and their overall careers, winning an award as a soloist has been one of their shared aspirations for as long as they could remember and one of them achieved it. It was only natural for Daewon to feel a little shy wanting some sort of acknowledgement from the younger. 

"I'm so proud, hyung. You did it," Taehyun whispers as he gives Daewon a small squeeze. When he pulls back from the hug Taehyun stares up at Daewon with so much pride and adoration it tugs hard on Daewon's heart strings. All he ever wanted to do was make his members proud. The tears finally spill down his cheeks as he sniffles shoulders jumping as he tries to keep it in. 

"Hyung don't cry" Taehyun coos as he reaches up to wipe his hyungs tears away. 

"You can do it too one day and when it happens I'll be there to support you too. Ok?" Daewon says seriously, reminding Taehyun of their promise to support each others wins. Taehyun blushes ever so slightly as his hyungs declaration but plays it off with a laugh. 

"I know that dummy. Now stop crying jeez!" Taehyun teases, still wiping away stray tears that cascade down Daewon's face. 

"We're supposed to be celebrating Daewon. Let's go get drunk!" Beomgyu announces as he wraps an arm around Daewon's shoulders, jostling him a bit. With all the excitement and praise behind his win Daewon had forgotten about his injured ankle until he stumbled under the sudden weight Beomgyu put on his right side. He hisses slightly which goes unnoticed at the mention of alcohol along with Kais suggestion to go out and eat barbecue with the company card. 

"I need to change first. You guys go ahead and load up I'll finish here."

"We can wait for you," Soobin suggests but Daewon waves him off. 

"No cause then we'll get stuck talking to someone Yeonjun knows for an hour. Might as well get out now so he can see people and chat while I change and clean off the make up"

"Alright, fine. Try not to be too long. I want food!' Kai whines, already shrugging on his jacket. 

"And alcohol!" Yeonjun adds following the maknae out the door. Once everyone is gone Daewon finally gets the chance to sit. Carefully he unties his boots before kicking them off and slipping his socks off to inspect his injury. His ankle had already begun to swell and turn red which wasn't a good sign. He'll just have to tend to it whenever they finally go home. Slowly he works his way around the room changing his clothes, cleaning off his makeup and cleaning the room before meeting with his manager to sign out of the building and head to the cars with the others. 

"Let's celebrate!" 

"Congrats Daewon!"
