moonraess wishlist:
Taylor is seeking: contemporary fiction that falls in the young adult, new adult, and adult categories (though her most preferred age range is 18-25). She's looking for stories with an emphasis on complex relationships and characters with depth and backstory. She is fond of sweet guys and girls with attitude. Romance must be a genre or subgenre. Overall realistic fiction is her jam, and she enjoys characters with their own flaws and troubles.
Taylor could be inclined to take on some horror, thriller, or mystery as long as they are on the more contemporary side and shy away from paranormal (werewolves, vampires, etc) or fantasy elements.
LGBTQ+ and mature themes are accepted, but not erotica of any kind.
Subplots involving sports, quirky best friends or siblings, and good music is a plus but not required, as well as stories taking place at the beach or in small towns. She also loves a bit of humor, as nothing should ever be taken TOO seriously.
Happy endings are not a requirement for Taylor, nor are clear resolution endings.
Taylor is not a good fit for: science fiction, fantasy, paranormal, historical fiction, and nonfiction. She is not interested in reading stories about possessive billionaires or CEOs, and main characters that fall in love with boys or girls who bully or torment them.
Poorly portrayed or researched mental illnesses and overly-dramatized heavy subject matter will not be accepted. Zero exceptions.
Taylor is not overly fond of love triangles, "bad boys", and "mean girl/queen bee" antagonists, but could make exceptions if there is a unique spin on things. If you're ever unsure you can always shoot her a DM.
Plagiarism or stealing of ideas from anyone will not be tolerated.
cloudedwithstories wishlist:
Grace's preferred genre and area of expertise is paranormal (specifically werewolf stories). However, as an avid reader of multiple genres, she would be open to YA mystery/thriller, original teen fiction, and urban fantasy. She's not a great fit for historical fiction, horror, or fanfiction.
Some must-haves for Grace:
- Diversity. Make sure your book reflects the diversity of our world
- Romance as a sub-plot (preferably slow-burners)
- Twists and turns you can't see coming
Some deal-breakers:
- Romanticised abuse
- Inaccurate and badly researched depictions of mental illnesses
- Racism & homophobia
Grace looks forward to working with a mentee and reading their manuscript!
aminaleeds13 wishlist:
Amina is seeking: Romance or Horror 15+, Mature accepted. Teen Fiction, Fantasy, Action, and Mystery, accepted as long as romance is a heavy subplot. accepted but not required. Manuscripts featuring strong female leads, non-toxic Alpha males, wonderfully crafted friendships and family relationships are always appreciated. Amina is a big fan of cliches and tropes (love triangles, friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, etc.), as long as a fresh spin is placed on them.
Amina is not a good fit for Science Fiction, Historical Fiction, Westerns, Fanfiction, and Non-fiction, and requests that no novels featuring rape, romanticized abuse, or incest as a subplot be forwarded to her. She is also not a fan of reading ambigious or cliffhanger endings, and prefers novels with clear resolution (HEA, Non HEA). She will take a Book 1 with a cliffhanger ending if the core of the novel really grabs her attention.
tidalbay wishlist:
Nicole is seeking creative takes on old tropes, beautiful writing, and romances of all sorts in audiences from upper middle grade through to new adult. Contemporary topics and social issues always appreciated, as are #ownvoices, anything with a paranormal twist, or mysteries with underlying love stories. Characters should be well-rounded and interesting (bonus points if they have pets!), and mentees should be interested in learning and growing along with their stories, having a compliment sandwich cheerleader who loves to encourage, and working with someone who will answer Discord questions in the middle of the night with multiple emojis. She'd love to find something that can be compared to A MANGO-SHAPED SPACE, RIVERDALE, THE THING ABOUT JELLYFISH, PRETTY LITTLE LIARS or somehow all of them combined into one beautiful love child. Nicole is not the best fit for erotica, most fantasy, or werewolf/vampire stories that do not focus on other character aspects. Please do not hesitate to DM her directly with any questions about her preferences.
hubrism wishlist:
From the Applicant: I'm looking for a motivated mentee who is eager to explore the deeper layers of their MS. Grammar won't be my main focus, although of course the basics will be covered. We should be able to have open discussions about the themes in your book, the character arcs, pacing, writing style, voice and the message that you're trying to convey. This will be dynamic and it definitely will be hard work, but we'll make it fun!
Genres and Topics Not Accepted: Problematic themes (i.e. rape or abuse as a plot point). Racism, xenophobia or homophobia. Stories focused on depression, grief or suicide. Horror. Thriller. Suspense. Survival stories. Religion as main focus. Non-fiction. Memoirs. Biographies. Streams of consciousness. Poetry. Short stories. Middle grade. Fanfiction.
Looking For: Primarily YA, but I'm also open to NA and Adult. Within those genres I'm looking for contemporary, fantasy, sci-fi, supernatural--all with a romantic subplot. I'm okay with mature content as long as the book isn't centered around it. I want to see you play with cliches and make them bend to your masterful will. I want to see stories that break the mold they rose from. I want to see stories full of soul, with characters that feel as real as you and I, going through tough situations and overcoming them not on the power of luck but on their own. I want to see characters that break the glass ceiling, that snap stereotypes in half, that reflect the diversity all around us, that inspire you and me to make this a better world.
Do you have a book that will make me feel all the feels? Pitch it my way!
DumDumPops4 wishlist:
With favorite authors like Samantha Young, Sarah J. Maas, and C.L. Wilson (and as a genre-hopper herself) Cayleigh is open to many different genres. While she admires the time and dedication of historical fiction, non-fiction, or memoir authors, she can't do them justice and requests not to be sent these. However, she loves diving into an urban fantasy or turning the pages of a paranormal romance. She enjoys spiriting herself away on an adventure, sitting in court with royalty, debating the physical needs of vampires, or wrestling with werewolves. Whatever it may be, as an avid bookworm, Cayleigh is excited to read.
druidrose wishlist:
MB is looking for YA, NA and Adult fiction.
She really wants your Fantasy, but will also take Science Fiction, Historical Fiction, and Action/Adventure stories. She prefers stories with a romantic arc, though exceptions can be made if she finds a story whose worldbuilding can consume her.
She wants characters she can fall in love with, and villains she can love to hate and hate to love. She wants morally grey characters. She wants strong female leads, love triangles, enemies turned lovers, prophecies, dreams- basically, she wants all the tropes, and has no shame admitting it.
She loves novels with deep character development, a setting where she can get lost, and plot twists that make her want to throw the book across the room. Whisk her away to a new land or just a unique circumstance with characters she can't get enough of and she'll love you endlessly.
Mature and LGBTQ+ more than welcome!
Paranormal and Horror may be considered, but please nothing with werewolves or vampires. She is also not the ideal fit for Contemporary, FanFiction or NonFiction.
She maintains an open-mind about a lot of subject matter, but do not send her stories with racism, bigotry, homophobia, or anything that goes against Wattpad's Rules & Regulations.
krazydiamond wishlist:
I want A, NA, YA, and MG Fantasy, Horror, Paranormal, and Science Fiction.
Give me your weird and wonderful spec fic. The weirder the better. Give me twisty genre mash ups. Give me your gothic nightmares. Give me your wild worlds. If your story is told through the POV of an imaginary cat trying to stop an invasion of undead Nazis, I want it.
I am here for queer. Give me LBGTQ storylines. Romance storylines are acceptable but not necessary.
Give me character driven tales. I love a good adventure. Give me your heists and your highway robberies. Give me morally grey characters. Give me your villains. I do love a story where the villain takes center stage. I also love redemptive villains, I love watching characters switch the roles they were originally cast in.
I really love stories that resonate with current world issues, no matter how fantastical the setting. (Would love to see an ecological piece in my pile, just saying)
I am not a fit for Fanfiction or straight Contemporary. Mystery and Thrillers are considered, especially if they have some weird elements. I prefer romantic subplots to central storylines.
I am pretty open, but do not send me stories that try to put a positive spin on racism, bigotry, homophobia, or anything that goes against Wattpad's Rules & Regulations.
AnnaMLKoski wishlist:
Anna is looking for a variety of genres as she loves to read them but she does prefer paranormal (vampires, werewolves, witches, ect included in this genre) romance, fantasy adventure, historical adventure or romance, general romance, general adventure, general fantasy, and any genre besides thriller/horror, mystery, and spiritual.
She doesn't mind darker or grittier stories with morally grey characters and themes, nor does she mind more gentle themes. Just as long as the story has a happy ending she is satisfied. She can work with Young Adult but she would prefer to work with New Adult with the age range of 17+, mature is accepted but erotica is not at this time.
Her 'must have's list is as follows:
~Diverse and multidimensional characters (no two dimensional characters like Mary Sues or Gary Stus or self inserts)
~ A vivid world that is expansive (or can be) and well thought out.
~ Well defined plot that is engaging.
~ Appropriately done relationships that are realistic and awesome to see. (Extra points if there are great familial relationships shown and/or wonderful friendships.)
~ A mentee willing to work on world building
And her list of 'absolutely not's:
~Romantacized abuse
~ Anything with improperly researched psychological topics such as mental illness, trauma, abuse, ect.
~ Characters who refuse to communicate.
~ Inappropriate age gaps.
She hopes to work with a lucky (or unlucky based on how many questions she may ask) mentee soon!
TeaNHeartache wishlist:
Ashley is seeking YA 15+ / NA / Adult only in the genres of Romance, Fantasy (Urban, dark, epic, historical...etc.), Paranormal (ghosts, witches, werewolves, vampires...you name it), teen fiction. I'll accept Science Fiction but I'm looking for worlds and characters like Jupiter Ascending, space operas like Star Wars, or something more contemporary sci-fi like Stranger Things. Mature books are acceptable. I love myself some violence, cursing, and hot sex.
I'm not a good fit for horror/Mystery/Thriller or Non fiction.
Does want:
Diversity amongst your characters. Don't make them all white, all straight, all mentally sane. That's not how the real world works and it's not how a fictional one should either.
Retellings are welcomed and encouraged!
Bring me your fantasy worlds (High, low, dark, urban, futuristic, steampunk, cyberpunk...I think you get the picture).
I need more f/f romances in my life. I don't care if it's Fantasy, Science Fiction, Contemporary, Paranormal. I WILL DEVOUR IT. (Of course, all LGBTQ representation is welcome).
WITCHES! If you've got something like Sabrina, be it the 90s show or the Netflix version, I want that desperately. Even better if they've got a talking cat!
GIVE ME HEART STOPPING ACTION. I want epic sword fights, grand airship battles, bloody war sequences. Make me question whether all my favorites will survive.
Dragons. I have a fondness for them and I want more of them in the books I read. Please, give them to me.
SISTERHOOD AND FRIENDSHIP. I'm tired of seeing women always fighting each other in books or turning on one another. I want something that shows the power of women coming together. Using their brains, beauty, and brawn to dismantle the patriarchy. If you have a story like this, I want it and I will fight for it.
Give me your soft boys and angry girls.
Pirates of the space or sea variety.
Vampires. That's all. Just bring me sexy vamps that I can swoon over.
STRONG ROMANTIC SUBPLOTS. Whether it be a slow or fast burn. I need it in my life.
SUPERHEROES! Or super powers in general. There has been a gaping hole in my heart since the Infinity war. Bring me new disaster children to love.
Does NOT want:
Romanticized abuse (this includes rape). Let me clarify, in my own books (several actually) there are references to rape and abuse, but it's not sweet or romantic. There is a way to write about this topic that is empowering and healing. If your book handles it appropriately than there is nothing to worry about.
Miscommunication as a plot device. It's okay if there's miscommunications. That's a normal part of life when you're trying to mesh all sorts of unique people together. However, if the miscommunication is the only keeping two lovers apart, or tearing apart friendships, etc., I don't want that.
Harmful tropes (like Kill your gays, toxic masculinity), bigotry, racism, homophobia, or anything else that goes against Wattpad content guidelines.
If it looks like I might be a good fit for you, pitch to me. And if you have questions about anything feel free to reach out to me. I promise I don't bite. :-)
ZeroWineThirty wishlist:
Give me anything from a spooktacular story to a high fantasy world! I love world building and am totally here to help you work out some kinks in your fantasy world. Any psychological thrillers are welcome too, really anything with awesome twists and turns!
Really for me I want something that is going to be a juicy page turner. Something I cannot put down. So if you think I would love devouring your piece on a beach or as a weekend read, then send it over!

Would Love:
1) Fantasy
2) Horror
3) Thrillers
4) Juicy Murder Mysteries
5) True Crime
Does not want:

4) Any bully/bad behavior boys/ harmful tropes
