"Leon, it's me. This is the daycare number I'm calling you, so hear me out before you get mad, okay?"

"...Okay. It's nine though, didn't her mother- Oh fuck, I forgot. I'm so sorry, have I been keeping you there?"

"It's not a problem. It was good to have her back today."

"She probably liked having you there."

"I only come in afternoons, after my morning classes, but she was super excited to see me. It's pretty adorable."

"That's Lilly. Adorable."

"Yeah..."

"I'll be there soon."

"Hey Lilly! Deepthi. Thanks so much for staying with her, I can't believe I forgot."

"Don't worry about it, we got more playtime than all the other kids, didn't we Lilly?"

"Yeah, we did. It was so much fun!"

"I guess we should get going, so Miss Deepthi can get home."

"Don't worry about it, Leon. And...I'm sorry for everything I said, on our last call."

"I am too...Are you two still ...?"

"...Yeah. I'm sorry, Leon, I just..."

"Don't worry about it, Deepthi. But did he...Did he really  tell you about me and Abigail?"

"He only told me she was Lilly's mother and you two dated, he didn't go into specifics. I really don't know anything."

"Right. Well, good, I guess. I'll see you around then."

He didn't know what Deepthi really knew, and had been going through.

And she didn't know what Leon had endured with Abigail, and the trauma he endured for his daughter.
