Toxic_Wonderland is an incredible account on Wattpad, who has written books such as 'Queen of Thieves' which has 2.45 million reads, and 'King of Killers' which has 35k reads. It was amazing to interview them, and here is what they had to say!

Why did you start writing on Wattpad?

I was always into art - but after a while, I would tire of whatever I was taking up. Sketching, painting, photography. I would become completely obsessed but then my interest in it would fade. Eventually, I took up writing and it stuck. It's been years and I still love it. It's a good way to channel any creative energy I have.

Which of the characters you've created has been your favourite and why?

Ahh, this one is hard. Right now, Eric (from Queen of Thieves) is my favorite character. He saw a lot, and in spite of it all, he remained kind. The things that happened throughout the story didn't harden him. He's soft and strong, showing that it's possible to remind kind even in the worst of times.

What's been your proudest moment on Wattpad?

Whenever I hit some sort of milestone, I get so excited. Mine were finishing Queen of Thieves, hitting 1,000,000 reads, winning a Watty, and becoming a Wattpad Star. I'm pretty sure that none of this has really happened and I'm going to wake up from some sort of weird fever dream.

Where do you see your account in six months?

I see my account being six months older.

(Insert canned laughter here)

What's the hardest part about writing on Wattpad?

Staying on track. I have to force myself to keep going with my current stories instead of starting new ones as soon as I get a new idea. Right now, I have eight stories in my drafts, and I'm barely keeping myself from abandoning my three ongoing ones.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

I suppose it depends on the story. Sometimes I'll be inspired by a song lyric, sometimes it'll be something I witnessed or something that happened to me. And sometimes something will simply pop in my head because I'm bored (or overcaffeinated).

And finally, what advice would you give to a new writer on Wattpad?

My biggest piece of advice would be to just keep writing. Loads of new writers expect immediate results, get frustrated when that doesn't happen, and then give up. You have to keep with it, you have to be patient. Things take time. Just don't give up on your passion.
