shutheauthor is an amazing writer on Wattpad, and most know for her book 'The Girl' which has over 300k reads. It was really great to interview them, and here is what they have to say!

Why did you start writing on Wattpad?

I started writing on Wattpad because I saw that the writers of the books I was reading were average people like me, and I wanted to see what I could do with a keyboard too.

Which of the characters that you've created has been your favourite and why?

This is a difficult question to answer as there's a part of me in almost every character, but I'll try to give my best answer. ~The Girl With Two Side Braids~

Because she is inspiring to me and I often idolize her.

What's been your proudest moment on Wattpad?

1: When my book reached # 3 on Wattpad's 'Hot' list
2: when it was featured
3: whenever I gain 100k reads

Where do you see your account in 6 months?

Following the same steady path it is now.

What's the hardest part about writing on Wattpad?

Not many people outside of the Wattpad community want to use the app/website to read (my)books.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

All the stories and perspectives that haven't been told, and all the POV's I haven't explored.

And finally, what advice would you give to a new writer on Wattpad?

Be part of the community, be your own publicist, people shouldn't judge a book by its cover but they sure do it anyway so have a cover design that you're proud of, don't be discouraged by the speed of your progress, and write; write even if you have no ideas, because you don't know what might come to mind when you start typing.
