Monika: Mobius was a peaceful planet. Sure it had its moments with evil doctors, ancient gods, and aliens, but it's never been anything Sonic and his pals couldn't handle. That is until one day, Knuckles was sitting on his island thinking of his job to protect the Master Emerald. 

Junko: Contemplating why he's the only one doing this job as always it seems.

Monika: When one day, the skies turned black and a dark figure came out of the emerald, teleporting away and taking the Master Emerald along with him.

Junko: If I had a nickel for every time a godly being came out of the Master Emerald and stole it, causing Angel Island to fall from the sky and into the ocean, I'd have two nickels... which isn't very much but weird that it happened twice.

Monika: This was Nazo, the very embodiment of the Chaos Emerald's negative energy, hell-bent on destroying the planet and everything that lives.

Junko: And with his power, he could easily do it.

Monika: No kidding. We're talking about someone who one-shot Tails and Knuckles with no issues and even beat Sonic and Shadow, forcing them to use their Super Forms just to match him in power.

Junko: Even then he was still strong enough to hurt them despite their invincibility. These are the same Super Forms that can contend with time-eating gods and dimensional-tearing robots!

Monika: Right, while Nazo may not be as fast as Sonic or Shadow, he makes up for it with raw power. 

Junko: Yeah, the guy's a pretty skilled combatant for someone able to keep Sonic and Shadow on the ropes. On top of that, he has a healing factor!

Monika: Right, Nazo's healing factor is powerful as it allows him to heal from just about anything. This includes a full-power punch from Knuckles, a barrage of Chaos Spears from Shadow, and even getting kicked in the head by Super Sonic down from orbit and sent him crashing to the ground. 

Kokonoes Notes: Nazo had survived being reduced to nothing but a ring. However, given that Eggman was the one taking credit for reviving him, it's unknown if Nazo's healing factor was involved in the process.

Junko: Speaking of Shadow, since Nazo is the embodiment of Negative Chaos Energy, it only makes sense that his attacks are Chaos-based as well.

Junko: This includes his signature move, the Chaos Eruption. A red energy blast that is strong enough to destroy an entire city, and can do even more at full power.

Monika: He has plenty of variations of this attack, like the Chaos Torrent which is much larger and can only be fired on the ground. 

Junko: Or the Chaos Flare, which fires a blast of Chaos Energy powerful enough to nearly kill Tails! Of course, we can't forget about Chaos Control, letting him teleport and stop time even without a Chaos Emerald.

Monika: And with all seven, he becomes Perfect Nazo.

Junko: Hell yeah! In this form, he's nearly invincible! Neither Super Sonic nor Super Shadow could even scratch him! Even his powers got amped up!

Monika: Now he has the Perfect Eruption, which is presumably more powerful than the Chaos Eruption. 

Junko: The Perfect Flare is powerful enough to knock Super Sonic back to his base form and he even has Perfect Chaos Control, which lets him move faster than Chaos Control! Yeah, the same move that can teleport!

Monika: To actually stand a chance against him, Sonic and Shadow had to turn the Chaos Emeralds into Super Emeralds, fusing together to become Hyper Shadic.

Junko: Something that actually backfired on them for a bit, letting Nazo absorb the power of the Super Emeralds and become Hyper Perfect Nazo! Looking the exact same only his rings are black.

Kokonoe Notes: Nazo cannot obtain his Hyper Form under normal circumstances, as he has stated he is unable to turn the Chaos Emeralds into Super Emeralds, meaning he needs someone else to do it for him.

Monika: Still, this form lets him perform his Ultimate Attack, the Master Breaker.

Junko: A massive ball of negative chaos energy, capable of destroying the entire world! Shadic needed rings from all over the world, as well as a bit of help from Super Tails and Hyper Knuckles, just to break through the damn thing!

Kokonoe Notes: On the topic of transformations, while Sonic and Shadow both require energy from rings to maintain their forms, Nazo doesn't seem to have any known time limit for his transformations.

Monika: Of course, you would think after being defeated he couldn't possibly have gotten stronger.

Junko: But nope, not even death could keep him down!

Monika: Thanks to Eggman, Nazo came back and there were a bunch of Nazo clones just as powerful as the original. Of course, Nazo didn't like this, but Eggman made sure to try and keep him under control.

Junko: Ten bucks says this doesn't last long.

Monika: Nazo ends up coming into contact with the Master Emerald and not only undoing Eggman's control but obtaining a whole new level of power.

Junko: Called it!

Monika: This new form of Nazo was appropriately named... Chaos Nazo.

Monika: Now with an infinite amount of power he never deemed possible, this form brings him to a whole different level.

Junko: Yeah, now he can compete against Hyper Shadow and Hyper Knuckles, the latter who's been stated to be just as fast as Nazo's own hyper form! He can even drain others of their chaos energy, nullifying their transformations, taking away Chaos abilities like Chaos Control, or worse... stealing their speed for himself! 

Monika: With his Chaotic Blast, he can fire beams of Chaos Energy and even fire Chaotic Bullets powerful enough to light up the sky. Heck, Chaotic Palm lets him create a massive hand of Chaos Energy, which blows up into smaller balls of energy around his opponent to create an even bigger explosion!

Junko: But while the Master Emerald did become his biggest strength, it's also his greatest weakness.

Monika: Due to being the embodiment of Negative Chaos Energy, Nazo doesn't have many options against Positive Chaos Energy. Not that he can't take attacks from Super or Hyper forms, he just doesn't have any real immunity towards them. 

Junko: He's also super arrogant and while his forms don't have any real time limits, enough damage can revert him back to his base form.

Monika: Which is probably how Knuckles, whose power also comes from the Master Emerald, managed to knock his Chaos form out of him as Hyper Knuckles. 

Junko: The scary part about that though... Nazo wasn't even phased by the punch! He still had more in him! And while the series was canceled, he still proved to be a dangerous threat.

Monika: Right, he's incredibly dangerous and will stop at nothing to get what he wants... the complete annihilation of everything that lives.

Nazo: Now before everything on earth is obliterated, I will leave you with my final explanation. You see... Being born from negative chaos energy makes me naturally inclined to as obtaining power as possible... In time, I will have more energy than any star, any universe... But there is one entity I will never be able to surpass. That's right Knuckles, your precious Master Emerald. A source of infinite energy, created by the gods themselves. No matter how much energy I absorb, I will never be able to reach a level of infinity. Therefore, the only solution is to detonate the planet, which in turn, will shatter the Master Emerald, into thousands of pieces. Dispersing them throughout the galaxy, along with their power. Making it impossible to be restored. I will not be damned to eternal subordination towards that rock!

Shadic: NO WAY!

Nazo: You are annoyingly stubborn... Obviously, you will resist. So, let's see... How many rings you have left, TO STOP THIS!
