Ann: In a world divided by Noble's and Commoners, there's a military school built for both! This school doesn't just focus on military combat though. And among the students that went to this school was none other than Rean Schwarzer! Who... kinda didn't fit in with everyone else.

Junko: Yeah, Rean was born in 1187 as the adopted son of Tao and Lucia and his wife, Kasia. Since he was adopted though, that means he technically has no noble blood in him... technically...

Ann: But luckily the school did a project, creating a class with both nobles and commoners where Rean met friends and fit right in!

Junko: Bleh. Well, it would be a waste not to have him. Rean is an expert fighter after all.

Ann: And his signature weapon is his Tachi.

Ann: A long blade Rean generally uses for combat.

Kokonoe: Right. He can use this to preform moves like the True Autum Leaf Cutter, which is basically one strikes becomes many in a certain area. The True Arc Slash, which is a sword beam. Or Gale EX, which allows him him to move fast enough over the battlefield that it looks like he's teleporting.

Ann: But he doesn't just have his sword. He also has his Arcus Unit.

Ann: This is a new piece of technology which can function as a phone. It also let's you create combat links to strengthen your combat powers.

Junko: It also let's him use magic! Or quartz. Same thing.

Kokonoe: Rean can insert 8 different Quartz to heal injuries, increase his stats, etc. But his most favorite types are Fire and Time.

Junko: Fire let's him do things like erupt Flames from the ground, cause giant explosions, or even cover his blade in flames for additional offensive power.

Kokonoe: While time let's him emit a time-space shaking pulse, plunge enemies into despair with a butterfly swarm, and even absorb damage.

Ann: He also has his Spirit Unification.

Ann: Also known as his Ogre Power because people compare it to an Ogre. Once he goes into this state, his hair turns white and his eyes turn red.

Kokonoe: This gives him additional strength, speed, and durability as well as gives him immunity to all ailments. He can smack around giant machines and even create after images.

Ann: He doesn't just have his transformation though! After a bit of help, Rean managed to obtain-

Junko: A giant fuckin' robot!

Ann: *sigh* His name is Valimar, the Ashen Knight.

Junko: This guy is 3 or 4 times bigger than an average human! He weilds a giant Tachi, can fly, and can be summoned to Rean at any time!

Kokonoe: Valimar is made of Zemurian Ore, the strongest known metal in Erebonia. This let's him take hits from other Divine Knights like Ordine and the Vermillion Apocalypse.

Junko: Which is literally the strongest out of the Divine Knights!

Ann: Valimar can also heal Rean by giving him Mana and can telepathically communicate with its summoner.

Kokonoe: Now, let's get back to Rean.

Ann: Oh right! Almost forgot about his S-Crafts!

Ann: The first being Flame Slash, where he strikes his opponent with multiple flaming sword swings! The second being Azure Flame Slash which is an even more powerful version of the Flame Slash!

Kokonoe: Rean is strong enough to cut through steel and kill ancient monsters without much effort. He can match Director Van Dyck, who sliced an armored car in half.

Ann: He's also very fast, capable of making after images, dodging bullets and lightning, and even reacting to a high speed train.

Junko: He can tank hits from guys far larger than himself, including from a monster stated to be able to create earthquakes through movement!

Ann: But he's still got weak-

Kokonoe: *ahem*...

Ann: Hm? Oh right, for this fight we'll be giving both combatants an army and 4 allies.

Junko: Yep! And by Rean's side will be...

Junko: Sara Valestein! A badass alcoholic teacher carrying a gun and a sword! She's got to be one of the most durable chick I know!

Ann: He'll have Crow Armburst.

Ann: A laid back friend and rival who carries twin pistols and a double saber. He also has a Divine Knight just like Rean.

Kokonoe: He'll also have Laura S. Arseid.

Kokonoe: The daughter of a legendary swordsman and an incredibly skilled fighter in her own right.

Junko: And Alisa R!

Junko: An underrated chick with a bow who can grow wings and fire light arrows!

Ann: Just like before I want to make clear they will not be a deciding factor in the fight. Now onto Rean's weaknesses.

Kokonoe: Right. Rean only has a limited amount of magic power. On that note, his Ogre Power and Valimar both come with a time limit.

Junko: He also needs to stay in control of his Ogre Form in order to prevent himself from going on a killing spree.

Ann: Plus it takes a long time for Valimar to recharge after losing health... but that doesn't change his drive to find his own path in life.

Rean: This is it. The final trial. We stand before a great darkness, but remember, darkness can't exist where light is. Let's be that light!
