Kokonoe: In every fighting game you will find people with unique skills and abilities, but sometimes the ones with the simplest abilities are the most unique.

Junko: Like Makoto Nanaya, the hyperactive squirrel girl of Blazblue!

Ann: And Sen- *ahem* Chie Satonaka, the Kung-fu master of Persona 4!

Kokonoe: The stage is set and the combatants are ready.

Junko: It's time for a Death Battle!

Inside the TV world, Makoto was walking through the gymnasium of a school, Makoto was wandering around.

Makoto: Now where in the world could I be now?

As she walked, Chie took a peek into the gym and saw her.

Chie: A squirrel girl? Never saw a Shadow like that before...

Chie looked back.

Chie: The others won't be back for a minute... well, guess I'll handle this one.

Chie kicked the doors open and Makoto turned to see this.

Makoto: Huh? Who the world are you?

Chie: Alright shadow, it's time to meet your end! Let's go!

Makoto: What the? I don't know who you are, but if it's a fight you want then bring it on!

Chie: Take this!

Chie jumped up and went for a flurry of kicks that Makoto quickly blocked. She made a shield that immediately blew up and knocked Chie back. She landed on her feet and went to face Makoto, who quickly dashed at her and went for a punch. Chie made a shield of her own that Makoto ended up punching instead.

Chie: Good try!

As soon as Makoto punched the barrier, Chie dodged the attack and went for a kick, but Makoto dashed through her and appeared behind Chie.

Makoto: Over here!

Makoto quickly went for a punch as Chie went for a kick. In a flash of blue light, they both clashed and knocked each other back. They slide on their feet and looked at each other with a smile.

Chie: You're pretty good!

Makoto: I'm just warming up!

Chie: Oh yeah? Well so am I! Persona!

Chie summoned her Persona as Tomoe appeared above her.

Makoto: What the?

Both Chie and Tomoe looked at each other and nodded as Tomoe quickly flew straight at Makoto, swinging its naginata. Makoto blocked the blade with her tonfa and knocked it back. As she did, Chie dashed at her and went for a kick to the side, knocking Makoto away. Makoto quickly recovered as she stood up to face the both of them. 

Makoto: Heh!

Tomoe fired shards of ice at her and Makoto ran to dodge them before dashing straight at Tomoe. 

Makoto: Asteroid Vision!

Makoto made two clones that appeared above her and flew straight down at Tomoe, hitting the Persona with downward strikes before disappearing and letting Makoto move past it to go after Chie.

Makoto: You're wide open! Lunatic Upper!

Makoto hit Chie with an uppercut so strong it sent her flying upwards, through the school and into the air. Chie spun and landed on her feet, onto the roof of the school. She held her head.

Chie: Ow... crap, that girl is really strong.

Chie looked at the hole she went through and Makoto suddenly jumped out of it, landing on the roof, right in front of Chie. They both had a staredown and Chie quickly dashed at her.

Chie: Take this! Herculean Strike!

Makoto: Cosmic Ray!

They both went for energy-infused strikes and clashed, creating a shockwave that knocked them back. Makoto was knocked right off the roof as she started to fall.

Makoto: Crap!

Chie: Fiiiiiiist...

Chie inhaled as a giant fist was being launched at Makoto.

Chie: OF FUUUUURY!!!

The fist hit Makoto and she was going down faster. Makoto saw this as she grabbed the fist and threw it, causing a huge explosion behind her as she landed in front of the school building.

Chie: This is the finisher! Agneyastra!

Tomoe summoned several giant meteors from the sky to fall onto Makoto, who was quickly dashing at the school and dodging the meteors. Chie quickly jumped onto Tomoe's blade.

Chie: I am a dragon!

Makoto: Huh?

Tomoe launched Chie right at Makoto as she went for an energy-infused kick. Makoto quickly stopped and made a barrier that protected her as Chie's kick made a huge explosion. Chie jumped back and as soon as she landed Makoto dashed at her.

Makoto: Too slow!

Makoto went for an overhead punch that sent Chie face-first into the ground hard. Makoto then went for another punch but Chie went to kick her leg, getting Makoto to one knee as Chie quickly recovered.

Chie: Watch your head!

Chie hit her with an overhead kick before kicking her in the gut. 

Chie: Black Spot!

Both Chie and her Persona went for a double palm strike that sent Makoto flying backward. She was confused for a second but managed to shake it off as Chie smiled.

Chie: Now, Hamaon!

A pillar of light suddenly erupted from under Makoto's feet.

Makoto: What... is this?!

Chie: An insta-kill move. Ha, you never stood a chance.

Makoto: GRRRAH!

Makoto spread her arms and blew the attack away in an instant.

Chie: What the? That's not possible.

Makoto: Heh, think again!

Makoto dashed forward and jumped in the air as Tomoe flew after her.

Makoto: Lightning Arrow!

Makoto punched the Persona straight into the ground, creating a huge crater. Chie held her head and fell to one knee as Tomoe disappeared and Makoto landed in front of her. She grabbed Chie by the shirt and used her tail to punch Chie in the face over and over again. She let go and Chie was still standing on her feet. Chie went for a kick but Makoto jumped back.

Makoto: Shooting Star!

Makoto punched her in the gut hard enough for Chie to fall to both knees and cough up blood.

Makoto: I'd stop now if I were you. Unless you want another one where that came from.

Chie started to slowly get up.

Chie: ... I... won't... FALL!!!

She suddenly let out a burst of golden energy as Haraedo-No-Okami appeared above her.

Makoto: What the?! Heh, not holding back anymore huh?! Fine then, I'm going all out!

Makoto punched her fist together and a blue burst of power surrounded her.

Makoto: Heh, it sucks to be you!

Chie: You took the words right out of my mouth! Here I come!

Haraedo swung its blade and sent an ice glacier straight at Makoto, who charged up energy in her fist and reeled it back.

Makoto: Burn up, the fire of my soul...

A portal appeared in front of her and she smiled.

Makoto: Behold my power!

Makoto swung her arm forward and a giant fist came out the portal, shattering the glacier to bits. As soon as the fist disappeared, Chie was right above her.

Chie: Satonaka Style! Double Kick!

Chie kicked her in the face hard twice, knocking Makoto back and causing her head to bled a bit as she smiled. 

Makoto: Makoto style!

Makoto punched Chie in the stomach.

Makoto: Super!

She hit her with an uppercut that sent Chie flying into the air.

Makoto: Duper!

Makoto then appeared right above her.

Makoto: Iron fist of justice!

She punched straight down at Chie with a projected fist and sent her crashing into the ground, creating a giant crater. Makoto landed on her feet and Chie's Persona suddenly dashed at her, swinging its blade. Makoto quickly jumped up to dodge it.

Makoto: Nice try! Commet Cannon!

Makoto shot a ball of energy at it and watched as it blew up in the Persona's face. It had no effect as it dashed at her, but she landed before it could grab her. The Persona then proceeded to swing its swords at Makoto, who was clashing with it using her projected fist. They clashed at high speeds before the Persona finally knocked Makoto back and went for an upper swing that sent Makoton flying through the air. Chie recovered as she saw this.

Chie: Haraedo! Now!

The Persona quickly flew up at Makoto who fired multiple projectiles through her fist. The Persona was dodging them as it went to grab her by the face, but Makoto grabbed it by the arm and went to punch its face. The Persona dodged it and grabbed her by the shirt, throwing her straight towards a stretching Chie.

Chie: This is my Ultimate Attack! One... two... and... Blast Off!

Right as Makoto got close enough, Chie went for a heavy kick. But as soon as she tried Makoto saw it coming and used her tail to smash Chie straight into the ground.

Makoto: I've already won!

Chie got up as Makoto hit her with a straight punch.

Makoto: Rise, power of the stars! Light! Give me strength!

Before Chie could recover, Makoto started punching her several times over.

Makoto: ATATATATATA! With my mighty fist, I'll send ya straight to the stars! Planet Crusher!

Chie's Persona flew down towards them, but Makoto already hit Chie with an uppercut that sent her flying into her Persona as both her and her Persona were sent straight into the moon so hard it blew up.

Makoto: Hm... You're another foe unworthy of my fist!

Junko: Welp, Chie picked a fight with the wrong Shadow!

Ann: Um Junko... Makoto wasn't a Shadow to begin with.

Junko: Wait really?!

Kokonoe: Chie and Makoto were very strong fighters. Both were very similar when it came to speed and had counters for almost everything the other threw at them.

Junko: Too bad Makoto had counters that put her well above Chie's pay grade. For one, Makoto's resistance to magic made it so Chie's Persona didn't have many options aside from its physical attacks. And while there was a 60% chance of Chie reflecting Makoto's physical attacks, it still isn't 100% guaranteed that one of those moon shattering punches wouldn't get the job done.

Ann: Not just that, but thanks to the Power of Order, Sensei wasn't able to use Insta-kill attacks to finish the job. Still, Sensei kicked a tank to space right? That's way heavier than punching Iron Tager.

Kokonoe: While it is true Chie is strong enough to kick a tank into outer space, Makoto was able to not only blast Tager to space but shatter the moon along with it. So yes, while Chie kicked the heavier object, Makoto's required a lot more force in order to pull off.

Junko: Looks like Chie has been Squirrelsonafied!

Kokonoe: That's not a... *sigh* The winner is Makoto Nanaya.
