Kokonoe: The Novis Orbis Librarium, or NOL for short, has held power over the populace of the world ever since the Dark War. Over time, many powerful individuals served under it to keep its reputation solid. From the hero of Ikaruga, Jin Kisaragi, to the Black Knight Kagura Mutsuki, to the first lieutenant of the Zero Squadron, Tsubaki Yayoi.

Junko: Heiress to the prestigious Yayoi family, Tsubaki was raised to become unquestionably loyal to the NOL and its imperator. Once she was accepted into the NOL's military academy, she was an excellent student and even made friends out of two students, Noel Vermillion and Makoto Nanaya. Once she graduated, she was granted the rank of secretary to Jin himself. But due to some nitpicks in time, that never happened. Tsubaki would become First Lieutenant of the Zero Squadron and Noel would become Jin's secretary instead.

Kokonoe: Still, under her new organization, she would use her skill and power well... that is until she received orders to kill Jin and Noel.

Junko: Not knowing what to do after getting orders from the totally not suspicious man, Tsubaki decided that if she were going to kill those two, she would need to take up her family's heirloom, the Sealed Weapon Izayoi.

Kokonoe: Izayoi is an Ars Armagus made during the dark war and is tailored to combat observers. It typically takes the form of a sword and shield but the blade can extend to a whip if needed. It can scar the soul and is notorious for stealing the light of the user and blind them if used for an extended period of time. Tsubaki managed to somewhat overcome this flaw by unlocking its true power, but we'll get to that later. Anyway, this weapon also steals other waves in the electromagnetic spectrum.

Junko: It also grants its wielders the Zanki Barrier. A completely indestructible barrier that even observers can't see through. She also has her Install or Drive which she uses to charge her special moves which are... pretty basic.

Kokonoe: She has Sanctus Aequum.

Kokonoe: This move has her charging in to hit her opponent with her book.

Junko: Then there's Sanctus Veritas.

Junko: This has her swing Izayoi in a vertical arc.

Kokonoe: After that is Agnus Dei.

Kokonoe: Which has her swing at her opponent from the air.

Junko: Next up is Benedictus Rex.

Junko: An uppercut that's basically Tsubaki's version of Ryu's Shoryuken.

Kokonoe: Then there's Aequum Eleison.

Kokonoe: This has her strike her opponents from the air with her winged book.

Junko: A different version let's her summon a fireball. Oh, there's also Lux Aeterna.

Junko: This lets her dive down at her opponents from three different angles.

Kokonoe: And Lux Macto.

Kokonoe: Which allows her to shoot projectiles made of light.

Junko: And finally, Sanctus Aerolata.

Junko: Allowing her to lift her opponent with the Izayoi and assails them with it's whip. Now that we got those out of the way, let's move on to her Overdrive, Distortion Drives, and Exceed Accel.

Kokonoe: Right, let's start with her overdrive, second install. This has her charge up her install gauge automatically so she can unleash her enhanced specials without worrying about the need for charging.

Junko: She can use Confutatis Maledictis, a move where she strikes her opponent with a short-range burst of energy. If it hits, she'll immediately rush her opponent.

Kokonoe: Requiem Maledictis has her summon 8 blades out of thin air and launches them all at her opponent.

Junko: And Macto Lux Kyrie, Tsubaki's Exceed Accel, allows her to turn the Izayoi into a massive bow of light to fire off multiple streams of light. But none of that is as impressive as her Astral Heat, Requiem Aeternam.

Junko: This move has Tsubaki launch into the air with a pair of wings as she summons a massive statue out of nowhere and bids that statue to slash at the opponent with a blade of light! This move guarantees instant death!

Kokonoe: True. But if her opponent is way out of her league, she can always get into her Izayoi's true form and become... well, Izayoi.

Kokonoe: This form drastically increases her powers to the point where she can go toe to toe with people like Jin and Noel. Given she's not as strong as them, she can still keep up with them in battle.

Junko: She also gained a small portion of the power of order from Jin. This let's her sense the presences of others. Her weapon also changes to the Zero-type Izayoi.

Junko: The evolved and obviously more powerful version of the Sealed Weapon Izayoi, this takes the form of a lance of light. It also serves as Izayoi's clothing. Oh and before I forget, it gives her access to the immortal breaker.

Junko: This move kills any opponent by forcibly placing the concept of death in their minds. However, it doesn't work on those with the Power of Order like Jin. It also doesn't work on deathless beings.

Kokonoe: Izayoi also has a different drive called Scarlet Justice. It let's her shift into another mode called Gain Art mode, where all her specials are enhanced.

Junko: One of these moves are her Sonic Sabers.

Junko: This lets her summon at least three blades of light and launch them at her enemy. She can even do this mid-air.

Kokonoe: Next is the Crusade Seraphim.

Kokonoe: A wide sweeping horizontal slash she can do from different angles.

Junko: She also has Aegis blade.

Junko: Which is a quick upper slash and strike fall.

Junko: Which is a diving attack of course.

Kokonoe: To top it off she has the mirage thruster.

Kokonoe: This can instantly teleport her whichever direction she chooses. Be it forward or backward.

Junko: And now we can get to Izayoi's overdrive, distortion drives, and Exceed Accel.

(9:05-9:24)

Junko: Izayoi's overdrive, Freedom Justice, allows for her to use Gain Art mode indefinitely.

Kokonoe: Justice Phorizor has her strike her opponents with a massive energy blade.

Junko: Slaver Trans-am summons two blades to fight alongside her and attack the enemy.

Kokonoe: And Banchee Lancer, her Exceed Accel, let's her trap her opponent and strike them with the floating blades. She finishes with a cross energy strike from the floating blades.

Junko: And finally her Astral Finish!

Junko: Also known as Justice of Destiny, Izayoi thrusts at her foe with a lance, sending them into the air. She flies up and summons a mighty Javelin. She hurls at her opponent and it flies like an aircraft, instantly killing her foe.

Kokonoe: Only goes to show you shouldn't underestimate her. Though I must say, her win loss record is pretty shaky. Even with the power of Izayoi, she hasn't won that many one on one battles.

Junko: Still, when it comes to delivering justice, you can rely on Tsubaki to risk her life for it!

Tsubaki: In my right hand, I carry the sword of judgement and in my left, the scales of justice. I serve the wings who govern the heavens. I am their word and their sword made flesh.
