*Kokonoe and Junko were flying in a plane with Neptune*

Kokonoe: Sega has made many games, good and bad. But you can't deny they've made some pretty fast and powerful characters to represent them. Like Sonic, the speedy blue Hedgehog of Sonic the Hedgehog.

Junko: And-

Neptune: Me! The main protagonist of Hyperdimensional Neptunia!

Junko: Oh, would you just get off!

*Junko kicked Neptune out the plane*

Junko: I'm Junko and she's Kokonoe.

Kokonoe: The analysis is complete and the combatants are ready.

Junko; It's time for a Death Battle!

Deep in a forest, Sonic was relaxing on a tree near a mountain. He was just minding his own business while eating a chilidog when suddenly, Neptune came falling right ontop of him, sending them both crashing to the ground. Neptune went to get up.

Neptune: Ow ow ow ow ow! Jeez, she didn't need to kick me that hard!

Yes she did.

Sonic went to get up too as he was rubbing his head.

Sonic: Hey, what's the big idea?

Neptune looked at him with a smile as she pulled out her blade.

Neptune: Hehehe, now that I've conveniently found you, it's time to get this Death Battle out of the way!

Sonic: Um... what?

Neptune quickly dashed at him.

Neptune started swinging her sword and Sonic was quickly dodging. He kicked her back and she was sent straight into a tree.

Sonic: Well, if it's a fight you want, it's a fight you'll get!

Sonic curled into a ball and went for a spindash. Neptune quickly went to block it but was sent straight through the tree behind her. She fell to the ground and flipped back to her feet as she went to face Sonic, only to see him coming at her with a homing attack. Neptune went to block it with her blade. She quickly pushed him back and pulled out her pistol. She quickly started shooting elemental bullets at Sonic, who was swiftly dodging them. He got up close and kicked the gun out her hand. He went for another kick but Neptune dodged it and got back.

Neptune: You're fast! Now let's see you handle this!

Neptune summoned a robot from the ground and it dashed at Sonic and swung its sword. Sonic dodged and went for a light speed attack as he went straight through the robot and into Neptune, sending her flying into a few more trees.

Sonic: Heh, you gotta be faster than that!

Neptune started to get up.

Neptune: Then how about this!

Neptune turned into a Jet and flew at him.

Sonic: Uh-oh.

Sonic quickly ran as Neptune fired multiple missiles at him. Sonic was dodging the missile's as fast as he could as he saw a metal block and jumped on it as his insta-shield. Neptune fired more missiles but they were quickly reflected back at Neptune and sent her crashing to the ground as she quickly turned back. She saw the gun she had dropped and saw Sonic dashing towards her. She quickly grabbed the gun and started shooting elemental bullets. Sonic went to dodging as he went to do a spindash. Neptune quickly dodged it and fired three consecutive shots at him from behind. They all hit him as Neptune spun her gun and fired five more consecutive shots. Sonic quickly went to dodge two of them but the other three hit their target. Neptune started circling around him while repeatedly shooting elemental bullets at Sonic. Sonic quickly dodged her last one and went for a boost as Neptune fired a single charged powerful burst of elemental power. Sonic dodged it and ran straight into Neptune, sending her flying back hard. She quickly landed on her feet as Sonic spotted a Red Burst Wisp. Neptune quickly dashed at him and swung her blade again but Sonic quickly dodged it and grabbed the wisp, using its power. He burst into flames and blasted towards Neptune. He then made a giant explosion that destroyed a good chunk of the forest. Sonic turned back and looked around at all the fire and ash.

Sonic: Well now.... at least that's over with...

Purple Heart: Don't count me out just yet!

Sonic: Huh?

Sonic turned to see a bright light that started to fade away as Neptune had transformed into Purple Heart.

Purple Heart: To think you can keep up with me in my base form. Or rather, I was underestimating you. Don't worry, it won't happen again.

Purple Heart dashed at Sonic and kicked him in the face, sending him flying back. Sonic landed on his feet and ran as Purple Heart summoned 4 Keiji Inafune's and launched them at Sonic. Sonic kept running and started to dodge them as they blew up around him. Purple Heart then summoned a giant ship with Keiji Inafune's face on it.

Purple Heart: Fall to the face of the creator of Megaman!

Keiji Inafune's face suddenly fired a gigantic lazer at Sonic, creating a humungous explosion.

Purple Heart: Hmph. Now then... ... ...

Purple Heart waited a moment.

Purple Heart: ... ... nothing? Huh well that's-

Suddenly, a huge burst of yellow light appeared as Sonic used the seven Chaos Emeralds to turn into Super Sonic. He flew straight through the ship and punched Purple Heart in the face, sending her flying back. She quickly stopped herself and summoned a giant blade made of faith and sent it to strike down on Sonic. Sonic dodged it as Purple Heart slashed at him multiple times before launching him into the air. She jumped up and slashed at him again, sending him crashing to the grand. She quickly went to strike down at him but he dodged it and grabbed her. He then flew straight up as the two of them flew to space and crashed into the moon at light speed, creating a huge crater into the moon. Purple Heart quickly kicked Sonic off her. She slashed two projectiles at him and Sonic made a shield that deflected them back at her. She dodged them and slashed at him but he dodged it, appeared behind her and went to punch her, but Purple Heart dodged it, appeared behind him, and slashed at him again. Sonic dodged her strike and went for a boost so fast it turned him into lightning and had him strike at Purple Heart, but she quickly flipped up to dodge as he turned back and kicked her mid-air, sending her flying. She stopped herself again and they two of them flew at each other. They went to strike at each other at blinding speeds until they pushed each other back. Purple Heart dashed at him and slashed at him multiple times from every direction. She spun her blade into the air and caught it before slashing through him again, creating a giant explosion behind her.

Purple Heart: ... Hmph. These battles usually don't exceed the 1000 word mark... but I can take this victory... hm?

Purple Heart turned to see another bright light. The Chaos Emeralds were glowing around Sonic as they turned into the Super Emeralds. Sonic took them in as he quickly turned into Hyper Sonic.

Sonic: Heh. Haven't used this in a while.

Purple Heart: Another transformation? Hmph, very well. Then I guess I'll introduce you to a transformation of my own.

Purple Heart started to glow. She quickly turned into NEXT Purple.

NEXT Purple: ... I believe it's time I stopped holding back...

NEXT Purple pulled out a Share Crystal. It glowed and they were both suddenly in the Share Field.

Sonic: Huh? Hey, where is this?

NEXT Purple: A temporary pocket dimension... now... let's end this quickly...

NEXT Purple charged up the boosters upon her back and the two of them flew at each other in a blinding speed. Sonic went faster and faster as NEXT Purple swung her sword. A bright light shined between them as they went straight through each other. The light disappeared and Sonic blew up behind NEXT Purple as his very concept had disappeared. NEXT Purple turned back to Neptune as she started to fall. The Sharing Field disappeared as Neptune landed on the moon.

Neptune: ... I... won...

A space ship with Junko and Kokonoe inside flew down to pick her up.

Neptune: Ow... my everything hurts...

Junko: Wow, that fight exceeded my expectations. It was waaaay better than our last two Sonic fights.

Neptune: You're telling me! I nearly got my butt kicked!

Kokonoe: This was an interesting one. Both combatants are known to be far faster than light and have immense durability and skill.

Junko: As far as experience goes, Neptune surpasses Sonic by thousands of years. But Sonic has already faced gods and Neptune's own immature nature doesn't help her. Hell, she doesn't even get serious until she turns to Purple Heart. So experience didn't matter either.

Kokonoe: Right. In a match like this, it all boiled down to who can land the killing blow first. We already know Sonic's super and hyper forms aren't completely invincible as he can be hurt by powerful enough attacks.

Junko: And Neptune certainly has some of those in her arsenal. Also, if the fight goes on for too long, Sonic will eventually turn back to base, which gives a huge advantage for Neptune whose transformations are only dependent on how much faith her people have in her and is much more powerful than base Sonic.

Kokonoe: Sonic may have had the advantage in durability, skill, and intelligence, but it looks like Neptune's power was just too much for him to handle.

Neptune: And all I had to do was hold down the B button...

Kokonoe: The winner is Neptune.

Junko: Next time on Death Battle!
