Ann: From the moment she was put in an orphanage, Lucy has had the most miserable life.

Monika: What? But she looks so cute. I mean, look at her horns. They look like kitty ears.

Ann: That's clearly not what the other orphans thought, as on a daily basis they would torment and bully her.

Monika: Well, it's not like Lucy was entirely friendless. She secretly had a dog that she kept as a nice companion.

Ann: That is until the other orphans found him and-

Monika: ... ... ... I think I need justice done to the world. Lucy, slaughter those brats.

Monika: *clapping* Well done... now... what the world was that?

Ann: You see, Lucy is a Diclonius, which is basically a deadly human with horns. At first glance, you'd think they'd have weird psychic powers, but in actuality those are her vectors.

Ann: A set of invisible arms that come out of Lucy's body and reach up to 6 feet. These arms are stated to be made of molecules and the vibration frequency of these molecules determine their abilities.

Monika: First is the low frequency.

Monika: At low frequency, her vectors can phase through objects without causing physical interference.

Ann: At a medium frequency,

Ann: Her vectors can become solid, like extendable hands, while still remaining completely invincible. These can be used as shields or to lift heavy objects.

Monika: It even allows her to fly.

Ann: Well, it's not actually flying. She's just using her vectors to lift her in the air.

Monika: With the high frequency,

Monika: Lucy can turn her vectors into invisible blades. These can cut through people and bend metal.

Ann: And at an extremely high frequency, she gets serious. Her horns grow as her vectors multiply in number and are now visible.

Monika: At this state Lucy's vectors can literally get explosive.

Monika: As in they can strike with enough force to literally cause levels of explosions compared to nuclear fusion.

Ann: Her vectors also become way longer, to the point where they can reach into outer space.

Ann: Oh, and you know how she was using 4 vectors earlier? Well... she can use 28 now, and they all reach past the speed of light.

Monika: Unfortunately, Lucy isn't always in control of her actions, as she has two other personalities in her head.

Ann: Right. After getting shot in the head, her first personality came as Nyu.

Ann: A passive, childlike persona which exists as a coping mechanism for Lucy's trauma. As Nyu, Lucy would finally form bonds and be united with a childhood friend and love interest, Kouta.

Monika: This would be the opposite of her other personality, the DNA Voice.

Monika: Basically a voice in her head that's constantly telling her to get up and start making more Declonius.

Ann: Yeah... not just that, but as a Declonius, Lucy has a few severe weaknesses. Her vectors can be nullified if one of her horns breaks or if she's struck in the forehead.

Monika: And if Lucy pushes herself too much, she will eventually start to melt.

Ann: Right... though the fact she can still single handedly fight through an entire army while in agonizing pain is still impressive.

Monika: In the end, Lucy reached the point of no return. But at least she was able to finally be put down by the man she loves.
