Kokonoe: A college freshman and bookworm, Ken Kaneki's life was fairly normal. One day he met a beautiful woman who just so happened to share the same interests as him and this is a trap isn't it?

Junko: Why whatever do you mean?

Kokonoe: C'mon! There's no way a nerd like that could ever actually date a beautiful woman!

Junko: That's kinda harsh... and sadly a bit true. Especially since this woman was actually a Ghoul named Rize.

Kokonoe: Ghouls are a race that resemble humans in every way. Only difference is their need to eat human flesh.

Junko: So when one asks you to walk her home disguised as a human, you're basically making it too easy to fall into her trap. Which Kaneki ever so greatly did. But before he could get eaten, someone thought it was a good idea to land a construction site on both of them. In the end, Rize ended up dying. So when doctors tried to nurse Kaneki back to health, they decided to use the organs of her corpse to save him.

Kokonoe: This, however, came at a cost as it would turn Kaneki into a Ghoul.

Junko: Well... a one eyed ghoul at least. But that's just as good. Probably better.

Kokonoe: Now being both a ghoul and a human, Kaneki poses immense speed, strength, and durability.

Junko: Yep. He's strong enough to throw someone through a steel wall with one hand. He's piped a lamppost out of the asphalt and used it as a weapon and even smashed some psycho into a wall with a single kick.

Junko: He's also smashed someone through several floors and ripped someone's arm off despite them wearing armor.

Kokonoe: He's not just strong, he's fast too. He can dodge bullets, escape from two Ghouls before they could react, dodge a barrage of needles, and to top it all off, he can dodge lightning while suffering from brain damage and a pierced left eye.

Junko: Um... I don't think I saw that in the anime...

Kokonoe: It's probably not. There are some things in the manga they didn't put in the anime.

Junko: I see. Well thanks to his durability, Kaneki has been able to tank hits from much stronger Ghouls. He's been tossed around like a rag doll and smashed through floors and walls. Hell, he's even fought through implement and near fatal head injuries.

Kokonoe: That's not all. Thanks to being a Ghoul, Kaneki's cells are considered harder than reinforced steel unless he's hungry or eaten human food. So if an ordinary blade were to cut him it would most likely break or bend instead of do any damage. Though I guess with enough force you could break through it.

Junko: Oh right, he also has superhuman jaws which allow him to tear through both human and ghoul flesh with ease. And added to that, he has a healing factor.

Junko: While most ghouls take hours to regenerate, Kaneki only needs a few seconds. Even being able to heal severed limbs with ease.

Kokonoe: Kaneki also has a natural sonar.

Kokonoe: This particular skill allows him to gather information around himself through sound vibrations. This becomes stronger when he comes back from serious injury.

Junko: Kaneki is also a very analytical and merciless fighter. He's been shown to copy his opponents moves and read their attacks. He's also good at reading their strategies and coming up with counters.

Kokonoe: His weapon of choice is called the Yukimura 1/3.

Junko: This lovely blade was given to him after he joined the CCG (Commission of Counter Ghoul). It's a sharp blade made of a ghouls kagune and is sharp enough to cut other ghouls kagune. What is a kagune you might ask? Well to put it simply...

Kokonoe: To put it simply, it's a ghouls RC cells coming out of their body and becoming solid. With this, a ghoul can use its cells as a type of weapon.

Junko: There are four types of kagune, and thanks to Rize, Kaneki has a Rinkaku-type.

Junko: This type allows him to form up to 8 tentacles from his back. I'm sure a select few know have seen enough hentai to know where this is going.

Kokonoe: Um no. He focuses them more on brute force at his opponent than anything else. They're strong enough to tear off someone's arm with one hit and could easily stab through a ghouls chest.

Junko: It can also be shaped into different forms. Claw hands, blades, masses of limbs, cages, smaller hands, eyes, mouths, you name it. And it's still strong enough to cut through a ghouls kakuja. Speaking of a kakuja, wanna know how his hair turned white?

Kokonoe: Oh boy...

Junko: Remember that guy I said Kaneki kicked? Well that guy's name is Jason. Jason had put him in a chair and spent a full ten days torturing him! This may not seem like a lot but it was a relentless, beautiful, ripping-your-body-apart-and-laughing-as-it-grows-back stuff! He had a massive, poisonous centipede crawling through and destroying his brain constantly! His fingers and toes were cut of with pliers and he knew it would never end because they would just grow back! And that's not even all of it! Oh it was so despair inducing and beautiful!

Kokonoe: Sure it was...

Junko: Eventually he finally broke free! Killing Jason and eating him! Then he went on a lovely cannibalism spree eating Ghouls and humans alike! And as a result, he received a kakuja of his own.

Kokonoe: After a few incomplete versions, Kaneki finally took this form. Upon being rescued from Dragon, Kaneki's kakuja takes the form of a more form-fitting body armor, with intricate designs decorating it, in addition wing-like structures on his back. He also has massive cross-shaped blades attached to them that he can swing around as close range weapons or extend long distances. In addition, he can use these as shields to defend against even the strongest of attacks. Their defensive power are great enough to withstand an attack from Dragon with Kaneki sustaining little to no damage.

Junko: Um, you keep saying dragon but...

Kokonoe: Oh yeah, I'm talking about his Dragon form of course.

Junko: Oh a Dragon form. That sounds-

Junko: Oh God! What is that?!

Kokonoe: That is Kaneki's Dragon form. An ever growing mass of flesh, teeth, and eyes that destroy everything in its path. Eventually the mass assumes a centipede like state with an armored shell, multiple eyes, and a head that vaguely resembles a Dragon. At this point, its size is enough to coil around a skyscraper.

Junko: In this form, Kaneki can generate kagune tentacles that can cut through tanks and upturn portions of concrete. Its armored shell is durable enough to resist artillery fire. Also, among other countermeasures, Kaneki can produce golems out of his body in order to defend himself against foes while he is stationary.

Junko: These golems are capable of killing investigators and ghouls alike, as well as pressure even the most experienced fighters with their large numbers. Oh wait, but isn't his body like, in the head of this Dragon bug thing? Couldn't you just take him out and it will stop?

Kokonoe: Well, you could take Kaneki out of the main head of this monster. But even after that, it will still be moving. The only way to truly stop it is if you find and destroy its core.

Junko: Man, good luck with that... with all he can do it's no wonder he's known as the one eyed king.
