Ann: Like Shadow, the Ultimate Lifeform.

Junko: And Zero the badass Maverick Hunter.

Kokonoe: The stage is set and the combatants are ready.

Junko: It's time for a Death Battle!

In the middle of a random city, Shadow was driving his motorcycle at full speed. Right behind him, Zero was on his tail chasing him on his Ride Chaser.

Zero: Stop right there Maverick! I can definitely detect a powerful source of energy coming from you! There's no way I can let you go!

Shadow: Hmph. Another one of the Doctor's defective robots. I'll take you out quickly.

Zero fired the first shots by shooting lasers through his Ride Chaser. Shadow dodged them as he pulled out his gun, shooting behind him. The bullets had no effect as Zero fired another laser too close to dodge. Shadow teleported above Zero as the motorcycle was blown up.

Shadow: Hmph. 

Shadow snapped his finger and formed a distortion that caused an explosion in front of Zero, who managed to stop his Ride Chaser before he could get caught in it. Shadow landed behind him and went for a Spindash as Zero turned his ride around and went for a dash of his own. Shadow managed to go straight through the Ride Chaser, causing it to blow up. Luckily Zero managed to jump off it and land on his feet, taking out his Z-Saber. The two stood back to back before going to face each other.

Zero: Looks like you're more trouble than you look.

Shadow: Hmph. Same to you.

Shadow jumped into the air and went for a homing attack. Zero blocked it with his Z-Saber and pushed him up in the air. Shadow caught himself quickly

Shadow: Chaos Spear!

While still in the air, he fired three blasts of energy. Zero jumped above him and aimed his Zero Buster, blasting Shadow back to the ground as Zero landed back on his feet.

Zero: Nice try. I'll end this in a nanosecond!

Shadow recovered quickly and went for a boost out of the rubble. Zero went to block with his saber as Shadow crashed into him, sending him crashing through several buildings before knocking him into the air. Shadow then teleported above him again and went for a kick. Zero quickly reacted and swung his sword as the two of them clashed in the air, creating a shockwave around them and knocking each other upward. Shadow went for another homing attack and knocked Zero back into the ground.

Shadow: Chaos Spear!

He fired three more projectiles, causing a massive explosion on Zero. Shadow then landed on the ground and pulled out a gun as Zero stood up. He started shooting at Zero with no effect as Zero started walking closer toward him.

Zero: Sorry, but those won't work on-

He then pulled out an Omochao gun and fired an Omochao at Zero's head.

Zero: Gah!

Shadow took out a grenade launcher and fired only for Zero to slice the grenade in half causing an explosion behind him. Zero dashed at Shadow and cut the grenade launcher in his hand only for Shadow to pull out a katana and swing it. Zero blocked the swing and the two got back. Zero swung his sword, firing a bunch of slashing projectiles but Shadow dodged them all and teleported behind him.

Shadow: Too slow.

He swung his sword but Zero knocked it out of his hands with his Saber. He swung it again and Shadow jumped back before going for a Spindash. Zero quickly dodged it and summoned three dragon-like robots by his side The droids started firing lasers but Shadow ran through them, destroying them with ease as he distorted his fist and punched Zero in the gut, sending I'm flying into a building. Zero quickly jumped off of it and thrust his arm down, summoning a large beam of light down on Shadow that was immediately blocked as Shadow surrounded himself in a shield.

Shadow: Heh. You don't know who you're messing with.

Zero launched two fish missiles at Shadow, who jumped in the air and fired three projectiles. Zero made a shield that reflected the projectiles back at him. They barely pierced Shadow's shield but as soon as the dust settled, Zero was right above him and hit him with a hammer that broke through the shield with ease and had Shadow crashing into the ground on one knee. Zero then landed and took out the Σ Blade.

Zero: Time to end this!

Shadow: Chaos Control!

Zero swung the blade but suddenly his body slowed down. Shadow stood to his feet and pulled out a Satellite Gun. He aimed it as a huge beam of light blasted down on Zero, turning the entire city into a wasteland. However, Zero managed to form a shield around him as his armor turned black. He looked at Shadow and smirked.

Zero pulled out a pair of brass knuckles and summoned a holographic clone that struck Shadow. Shadow dodged it as Zero dashed at him and went for a powerful punch. Shadow went to block it but was still sent flying across the city. Shadow landed on his feet as Zero appeared behind him going for a kick. Shadow ducked under it as they both went for a punch and clashed. Zero then punched him in the gut and kicked him away again. Shadow landed on his feet once more as Zero dashed at him.

Shadow: Chaos Control!

This time, Shadow used Chaos Control to freeze time but Zero was unaffected by it as he swung his saber. Shadow jumped up to dodge it before going for a homing attack that Zero quickly blocked before pushing Shadow back.

Zero: Stopping time won't work on me! 

He summoned three balls of lightning and fired them at Shadow, who quickly did a homing attack on all three of them then hit one on Zero, knocking him back. Zero charged his Blaster and fired at Sadow, who quickly shot a blast of his own, destroying Zero's own. As soon as the explosion formed between them, Zero jumped above him with a blade of ice and went for a downward strike. Shadow quickly dodged as the blade shattered. Shadow then snapped his fingers to make a distortion behind Zero, forming a black hole that was starting to suck Zero in. Zero quickly stabbed his saber into the ground and held on tight.

Shadow: Chaos Spear!

Shadow shot a projectile at him but moments before it could hit his face, Zero stopped time. He then jumped behind Shadow and went for a powerful kick. Time resumed and Shadow was sent flying through a bunch of rubble.

Zero: I already analyzed your data. Still think you can win?

A huge burst of power suddenly unleashed from Shadow as he had taken off his rings pissed off.

Shadow: I am the Ultimate Lifeform... Shadow... the Hedgehog!

He unleashed a huge shockwave that knocked Zero back and Shadow teleported behind him, kicking him into the air. Zero quickly caught himself and slashed a projectile down at Shadow who quickly dodged it and flew above Zero, kicking him back to the ground. Shadow teleported in front of Zero and went for a kick as Zero swung his Saber causing the two to clash. They got back as Shadow fired a lance of Chaos Energy that Zero quickly blocked. They then started dashing at each other at blinding speeds causing several large explosions throughout the city. Shadow then flew into the air.

Shadow: Chaos Spear!

He fired several large projectiles down at Zero who quickly turned to Absolute Zero, growing wings and flying after Shadow, dodging the projectiles. He swung his claws and Shadow was quick to dodge only for Zero to grab him by the neck. Lightning then came out o the sky and struck Shadow.

Zero: Heh. I don't even need my Saber to take out a weakling like you.

Shadow: Geh... Chaos...

Shadow grabbed the Maverick Hunter's arm.

Shadow: Blast!

He unleashed a huge explosion around him, forcing Zero to let go and fly back. The seven Chaos Emeralds then circled around Shadow. He absorbed them, turning into Super Shadow.

Zero stood up to face him as Shadow looked down at him with a smile.

Shadow: Heh. Behold the power of the Ultimate Lifeform. Chaos... Spear!

Shadow started rapidly firing spears of energy down on Zero who went to dodge all of them. He flew up at Shadow and swung his claws but Shadow quickly dodged and kicked him away. He then hit Zero with dozens of homing attacks in every direction before Zero finally caught him and threw him into the ground hard. Zero then fired two buzzsaws down at him.

Shadow: Chaos Control!

Time froze as Shadow went for a homing attack, knocking Zero all the way into space. Zero ended up on the moon, creating a massive crater before flying back down at high speeds. Shadow flew right back at him as the two of them clashed, creating a massive explosion that sent the two of them back to Earth. Zero caught himself right above the ocean floor as Shadow started circling around him, creating a massive tornado that surrounded Zero. The Maverick Hunter tried to fly back up but Shadow flew above him and kicked him down so hard it made a giant whirlpool. The two then flew at each other and clashed only making the whirlpool larger. They flew above the water and started clashing multiple times at high speeds before Shadow kicked him all the way into another city. Zero landed on his feet and went back into his Black form, taking out his Z-Saber as Shadow dashed at him at high speeds.

Zero: It's over! You lose!

Shadow: Chaos Control!

His Saber burst with energy as Shadow came in faster. Zero swung his blade but it was suddenly teleported out of his hands.

Zero: Huh?!

Shadow then went for a Spindash that sent Zero flying into the air. He looked up and fired several energy blasts that completely destroyed Zero's arms and legs. Shadow then teleported above Zero and kicked him hard into the ground. As Zero's body bounced back up a bit, Shadow teleported beside him.

Shadow: Chaos Blast!

He unleashed one last huge explosion that destroyed the entire city and completely engulfed Zero. Once the dust settled, Zero was nothing more than a pile of ash as Shadow went back into his base form with his arms crossed and his rings back on his wrist.

Shadow: Too easy.

Junko: Now that's what I call a blast!

Ann: He may not have won the Battle Royal, but he gets his win here. Though to be fair, Zero did have his own advantages over Shadow. He was much faster and had way more in hax and weapons in his arsenal. 

Junko: Yeah, but all that went out the window once Shadow started going Super Saiyan. Yeah sure, Zero could bypass all of Shadow's defenses and is even immune to Shadow's ability to stop time, but unlike Shadow's base form, his Super form was a thousand times faster than anything Zero has faced in the past. He also has a pretty good immunity to just about everything Zero could throw at him.

Kokonoe: Right. While Zero was incredibly tough, the Super Forms in the Sonic universe have shown that they can take much more damage than Zero has shown to be capable of. And while Zero has resistance to physical attacks and projectiles, there was only so much he could take before he was destroyed like all the other robots that fell in Shadow's path.

Junko: Looks like this emo is in X's shadow because this was a mega loss for the guy who's worth less than zero.

Kokonoe: The winner is Shadow... Shadow the Hedgehog.
