"Get over here now, Winnie," Haisten ordered, his tone commanding.
Staring at her feet, Winnie sighed.
And there it was.
Haisten was a guy who usually turned heads and broke hearts among the party-goers around them.
A peek to the left of the porch told her many such girls were already preening with jealousy, wishing Haisten was beckoning their names, not hers.
Here was a man used to getting what he wanted.
His quiet, dominating presence exuded masculinity, drawing them in in droves.
When Winnie glanced up with a smile, Haisten knew he had her.
Until she turned to kiss her kind and loving best friend Riley instead, eliciting a chuckle out of him before closing their eyes to enjoy their better-suited magic.
