There's something that surely, you've noticed.

The main character is a bitch to her best friend, and yet, the best friend doesn't mind it.
(Notice how I said she, that's because the main character is always a girl. But that's a cliché for another chapter)

I mean, we all had fights with our friends (I did), so, why can't we have the best friend and the main protagonist have a fight? Like arguing.

I can hear angry voices shouting ''But you said the main character should have negative traits! Now you're bitching about it! Make up your mind!"
Well yes, the main character should have negative traits, but those traits should influence the characters in some way, don't just make them have negative traits for the sake of not making a Mary Sue. Even if those influences are negative.

Arguments between friends sometimes strengthen their friendships, hence why the characters should have negative traits!
