User snail-socks gave me a few ideas for chapters as well. The first was that the main character is always dependant on their love interest. It's cool if they have someone to lean on, a shoulder to cry on, but if they can't function by themselves, there's something wrong with them.

Ex:

"Shelby, will you go out with me?" Blake asked, eagerly waiting for an answer.
"Yes," she said. And in that very moment, the two felt their destinies intertwining together, and both knew that if they ever lost the other they'd lose their will to live.

Hal put a hand on Amelia's shoulder. "I'm breaking up with you," he said, uttering those fateful words.
"No!" she cried desperately, holding onto him as if he would blow away in the wind. "How will I survive without you?!"
"You were doing just fine before I asked you out two days ago."
