OK, Mikey. Tell us a bit about yourself! How did you find yourself here? 

Hi everyone! *passes out cookies* For all who are not aware of who I am, my name is Michael I also go by Mikey. I was scrolling in the app store looking for games to help my boredom, and I kept scrolling past a W with a light orange background, I really didn't think much of it, so I ignored it a couple of times.

One day I decided to click on it, and found out it was a reading/writing app, I was enthralled so I installed the weird app, which brings me here today!

I wrote and scribbled things in my books in high school, but never have I ever thought of writing a book! I have two younger brothers our father is in the military, so I've lived in Germany, and a bunch of other places, but the main place we grew up in is Texas until we moved to Virginia. Limited amounts of entertainment existed back then, so we would always make up games in the grass fields and forests, they were fantasized games.

Games where I could be a forest monster, or an evil king taking over an imaginary kingdom. These games were stuck trapped in my head, I would never let them go.

I decided to free them...on paper.

And that you did! Pitch us your entry "Mystical" for the Block Party. 

"Wear my shoes, understand what I am about to walk into." When Eliza's Mother tells her she is a witch. She believes she will be casting spells, and yelling Bippity Boppity Boo! And Alakazam!

Unfortunately, this isn't true when a corrupt fairy almost kills her... Yeah, those spells didn't really work out. Eliza is a reject, and an outcast at school which makes her your perfect assassin. She is stuck in a world she once knew. Witches aren't anything she has imagined them to be, they don't wave their hands and project cool, flashy, beautiful particles in the air. . . Seriously, that's mocking her kind.

She has a broomstick, her weapon.

. . . And what happened to her with that fairy. . .

She will not hesitate in killing you.

Wow! How did you come with that?

I figured reality television is more of a trend developing in our society. I wanted a show that would create drama amongst my characters, I took Jerry Springer's dramatized show and made it my own Mystical Reality Show! It's a really great way to answer some of my reader's questions as well as add in some mysterious clues for what's to happen in the final book.

Cool idea. As with most stories it's based in some reality. Tell us a bit more about Mystical's conception. 

I love magic, I love harry potter, I love fairytales and just the whole SHABANG of fantasy. How could I include all of these things without being too cliché? How can I twist it just a little bit, without being corny? I wanted something evil and unique. I wanted a witch to kill fairytale-like creatures, that's your mermaids, elves, faeries etc. These beautiful creatures will be assassinated by no other than a witch, with his/her broomstick.

Why are we killing such innocent creatures? Because they're corrupt and causing havoc.

Who are your favorite authors? 

 Carrie Jones, Stephanie Meyer, Richelle Mead, Veronica Roth and of course J.K Rowling.

Of course! I was going to guess Rowling. I see a nod to her stories your work. 

What advice do you have for aspiring authors? 

Most authors will say be yourself, I will say not to. Being an author is almost being an actor, director of your own movie. Only your film is in words, you need to be all of your characters, how will you do this being only yourself? Do not be afraid to test your limits, dive in to different possible scenarios and personalities. Go crazy! Turn evil, twist your imaginary world, destroy it...create something marvelous.

Don't forget to add some of you into your work as well, but don't overdo it.

Are you a coffee drinker? What are your writing habits? 

I don't drink coffee regularly, I do like Starbucks though, but I don't rely on coffee to help me get inspired and motivated. My inspiration comes from watching movies, and noticing scenery from a long drive on the road. I remember watching The Maze Runner for the first time (I did not get a chance to read the books) this movie caused my heart to beat hard and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, I try my best to implement this into my books, I want my books to feel like this, I want my readers to be just as nervous and scared like the actor is.

So you can say, after I watch a movie, I'm inspired to write. Even though that's not the question I just thought I'd say that! (Ha-ha) Back to the question, I can't write in the morning or the afternoon, I find my imagination at its best at night. (:

Given your genre, I can see how it sets the mood! OK, finish this sentence for me: When I'm not writing I'm: 

Usually just at work, eating or studying. Yep my life is boring, and not as exciting as Eliza's in Mystical.

Then answer this one! In an alternate universe, I am: 

Creating world havoc with my evil powers.

What's your favorite thing about Wattpad? 

I love how you can post stories, and not worry about copyright issues! The reaction with readers I receive is also heartwarming, my readers are one of my biggest motivators! What author doesn't want feedback and opinions? I absolutely love the comments I receive, and I read each and every one I get, because again my life is too boring not to (:

What can we expect from you after the Block Party? 

 I will be finishing up my last book in The Mystical Trilogy: Magical. Then maybe sneak into the thriller/horror genre.
