Thank you so much for joining us! You have, perhaps, the very best user name on Wattpad. I can't help but smile every time I read DoNotMicrowave! Can you tell us how you came up with your handle?

It's actually a pretty simple story. I was eating Cup-A-Noodle when making my Wattpad account and the warning label "Do Not Microwave" caught my eye. I thought it'd make a great username so I used it. Honestly, I love it. Makes for a great conversation starter! 

Well trust me, it does! I want to laugh out loud every time I see it, and boy is it memorable! 

You've come up with an alt-reality version of your Wattpad MEGA-HIT The Cell Phone Swap. How did you land on that for the Block Party Summer Edition?

I knew I wanted to write about the characters of The Cell Phone Swap, but I wasn't sure what it would be. Then I asked myself, "What if?" What if Keeley hadn't dropped her phone at the fair? What if they never swapped cell phones? In all honesty, I spent all day thinking about the outcome. I wasn't sure what I wanted to happen, but I think everyone will be happy with it...or at least I hope so!

So who are your favorite authors?

It's hard to narrow down, but some of my favorites are Nalini Singh, Karen Rose, Julie Garwood, Pamela Clare, and Lisa Kleypas.

Have any advice for aspiring authors?

To set aside your doubts, your insecurities and take a chance. You never know where it could take you.

Tell us about your writing habits! When & where do you carve out your creative space?

I prefer to write at night because it's quieter. I find some of my best work comes from the wee hours of 2-5am. Candles also play a huge part in my writing experience. I tend to match scents with the mood of my characters. Light and fruity or woodsy and rich?

Wow! I can see that in your writing. So, how did you discover Wattpad?

I was reading a story on another website and the writer decided to move it to Wattpad. Naturally, I followed over and the rest as they say is history.

When I'm not writing, I'm thinking of ways to survive a zombie apocalypse.

HA! And this one too: In an alternate universe, I'm doing this right now.

In an alternate universe, I'm a honey badger shifter fighting a rival clan.

What's you favorite thing about Wattpad?

The community. Wattpaders are not only supportive, but they are fantastic editors who point out mistakes and plot holes. Thanks guys!

I couldn't agree more! So what's can we expect from you after the Block Party?

I'm currently writing the second book in the Fate's Game series. Gambling with Hearts is about Keeley's brother, Zach and his love interest, Riley.

Zach Brewer has a plan. Win a state football championship, get recruited to a top college, and enjoy his senior year as much as possible. What he didn't count on is being up to his neck in debt. Being a member of an exclusive gambling ring has its perks, particularly the high stake tables, but getting shook down by two thugs has a way of ruining the appeal. Not sure what to do, he pleads with the one girl who could help.

Riley Martinelli's life is simple. Attend school and help her brothers run their underground gambling club. The club is the only thing keeping her family out of bankruptcy since her dad got hurt. Faced with losing their house, her brothers are determined to collect every penny owed. When Zach, her long-time crush, asks for help, she desperately wants to give it but she can't do much without hurting her own family.

As Zach and Riley navigate through peer pressure, family expectations and broken hearts, they must ask themselves an important question. How much are they willing to risk to get what they want?
