A young 14-year-old girl walked into her house after a long day at high school. She took off her black boots and sat at her dining room table.

The girl immediately opened her Chrome Book and typed in a website in the address bar.

She clicked on the 'Notifications' tab to see what was happening with stories in her Library, her own stories, etc.

The freshman girl read through some stories and updated one of her own. Well, technically, it was a fanfic. A PJO/HoO fanfic.

Wattpad was her life. It was a safe haven for her and others to express love for fandoms, write stories, and interact with others who had the same interests as her.

She didn't have many people like that outside in reality.

The girl had a small group of friends who had the same interests in fandoms like her. Only a few were actively on Wattpad.

Her account was a role-playing account for one of her favorite book characters: Reyna Avila Ramirez-Arellano, daughter of Bellona, from The Heroes of Olympus by Rick Riordan.

The girl kinda looked like Reyna, and kinda acted like her, too. So it was only fitting for her to role-play as Reyna.

Suddenly, while she was reading a great story, she saw a red dot near her profile pic. She clicked on it and saw that she had a new message in her 'Inbox'

The girl saw that it was from Wattpad, or the people behind the site anyways.
