Chick Lit and Romance. It's hard to imagine a cliché plot that has not been done before in a book of these genres, but don't get me wrong- great writing and relatable characters are part of the reason why these genres keep readers coming back for more.

So, for the new year, I present to you a real-life unicorn. A book in a million that breaks the all done clichés and presents to you, the readers, a fresh new take on the Chick Lit genre.

Meet Leah, a science fiction and mystery author who is our main character. She is completely loveable and scarily relatable to writers everywhere. Tasked to write a romance by her publisher to fit the want of consumers, she is struggling to change her usual plots of murder and mystery to that of sensual, electric connection of characters she just can't seem to figure out. Add to the mix the too hot to handle next door neighbor - that, let's face it, we all want to have. And you have the making of the perfect Chick Lit story.

But include witch? Very intriguing...! Add a spell that Leah hopes will fix all her problems- the solution for all writers everywhere. Obviously.- Then things certainly start to get interesting!

When the spell isn't exactly what she was hoping for, all things go... well... crazy!

Tagged Comedy, fun and humor, this really is a funny read. The light-hearted writing, a plot that doesn't take itself too seriously and characters that literally jump out of the pages, it's a must read to rid yourself of those post-Christmas blues.

I also want to mention, before this review comes to an end, that I started this book thinking that it was complete, only to find that it was in fact not. Hence the short review- but I wrote the review anyway because, as I hope you can tell, this is a book you NEED to read. So now you must wait impatiently with me for the next update, mwahaha....
