Hello everybody and welcome to the one year anniversary of Wattmag!

Okay, don't be all like "But Dorothy, the first issue came out in July 2016, not June." I know! But this time last year was when the magazine was given birth to as an idea in my head (weird visual, sorry), and the team of writers began to assemble. I guess next month could be the celebration of our first issue launch, but for me, this is the best time to commemorate. Plus, who doesn't love a good party?

When I started this magazine last year, I could have never imagined the amazing group of writers that I would become friends with and all the awesome readers (that's you guys!) who continue to inspire me every day. It's all of you reading, voting, and commenting that has encouraged us to continue on and kept us going, so I want to say a huge thank you.

But, that's enough from me! Later on in this issue, you'll get to hear from some of the other writers on the team about their favorite parts of this experience. There's also a few exciting articles, book reviews, and a new section I'm excited to announce where you can have the chance to have your book promoted in one of our issues. There's also a few other new segments to look out for, plus, we'd love the opportunity for more of you to join our team! 

Life's always hectic and there are times some of our writers are unavailable to submit pieces, so just to keep up the consistency with our content and be able to keep pushing out more issues, new writers are in a high need. If you'd like to join our team, send us an email giving an example of your content - it can be an article, a review, or even an essay from school, just something to show us what you've got!
