⸻ LOUD GROANS AND CHEERS ERRUPTED FROM THE VOLLEYBALL NET THAT WAS DUG INTO THE SAND, where four different highschool graduates stood playing a game while two girls sat off at the side and watched.
[name] stared at her ash blonde boyfriend, watching as he yelled at tendou satori, the redhead on his team, for calling after him with the silly nickname that the [hair color] haired girl adored.
"this one's for you, minnie! come on, semi-semi!"
"stop calling me that!"
[name] giggled softly, stretching her arms out with a soft yawn as the sun shined down upon her. a small smile tugged at her lips as she watched her boyfriend play his match, the focused look on his face whenever he would hit the ball.
"so, how're things with you and semi?" the female sitting beside her spoke up.
the [eye color] eyed teenager turned, eyebrow arched and staring down at the young woman who was smiling. she was confused, wondering why she was suddenly being asked about her relationship- especially from someone she never really spoke to or befriended.
"pardon?"
she flips her long black locks off her shoulder, wiping the sweat off her neck as she looks over- her eyes on her redheaded boyfriend, "i'm guessing you're unaware of what's going on, huh?"
[name] squinted, biting her lip. she held back a scoff and an irritated eye roll, trusting herself to stay calm and find answers from the girl she had only technically met that very day.
"what do you mean?" she asked, both elbows propping up on one elbow rest to get closer to the beautiful, black haired woman.
minnie turned, eyes widening at the confused expression she held. she sighed, lifting off of her chair and moving it closer to [name], placing it back on the sand that the two were barely a couple inches apart.
she flipped her sunglasses onto the top of her head, revealing her sky blue eyes. she leaned her head forward, "apparently, semi has been messaging the group chat that you two are having problems."
"problems?" [name] questioned, glancing back over at semi who seemed to not have any issue, "what kind of problems?"
minnie shrugged, leaning back against her chair and flipping her sunglasses back, "i dunno, tendou didn't tell me, the only reason i really asked was to make sure everything was okay- it didn't seem like you guys were really talkative with each other-"
her words were cut off by the loud whoops and hollers that emitted from tendou and semi's side of the court, the redhead running over to jump onto his girlfriend for a victory hug.
the teenager turned, eyes landing on semi who didn't bother to look over, only stared down at the volleyball in his hands. her heart was pounding, slowly growing both angry and anxious at how he was acting towards her- and she didn't even know why.
was it all because she helped oikawa with her brother and neighbors practices?
no, it couldn't have been the reason. she explained to him, he said he trusted her, he knew that she isn't that type of person.
[name] sighed, grabbing her sunglasses and leaning back on her chair, looking up at the sky that was beautiful and peaceful.
the clouds moving and the sun shining while her lips parted slowly and small tear attempted to fall down her cheek, but thankfully, no one noticed.
