The screen faded in, displaying the results of the entrance exam.
"Check out the results from the exam!" a teacher (Twice, as it seems) said.
"Wow," Midnight glanced it over, "The first place student didn't even have rescue points."
"Bakugou seems like more of the combat type anyways," Yaoyorozu commented.
"Yeah," Kaminari said without thinking, "He wasn't all that good at rescuing when we got our licenses."
Bakugou turned around, glaring at the boy. "Excuse me?"
Kaminari laughed. "Sorry, dude. I didn't mean anything by it. Hey, it's kind of even a compliment. You're scary good at fighting."
Bakugou appeared on screen, lighting his palms with explosions as he took out the robots. Snipe branched off of Midnight's words, complimenting the blonde. "He took down those faux villains like an ace. When most of the other examinees were running from the big obstacle, he stayed focused on letting the smaller targets get in close and then counter-attacking. That kid is tough."
"On the opposite end, the 7th place student had 0 combat points," Midnight pointed out, imagery of Midoriya appearing.
"Ey, Midoriya!" Kirishima grinned.
Midoriya smiled, a light blush dusting his cheeks.
"He's not the first U.A. hopeful to take out that giant robot," Snipe mentioned, "Though it's been awhile since I've seen someone blow it away with one attack."
"Yeah, he's crazy strong!" Uraraka grinned.
The first teacher protested his praise. "But at what cost? Did you see how badly he injured himself? If you ask me, it's like his body isn't used to his own quirk!"
Aizawa seemed to take an interest in the situation, as he glanced upwards, leaning against the wall.
"What's that all about, Eraserhead?" Midnight questioned.
Aizawa spoke without moving. "I was merely interested, is all. Especially due to his horribly broken state."
Midoriya laughed nervously, soon turning it into a cough.
The screen shifted onto the beach, waves rolling against the sand. The night after I opened my acceptance letter, Midoriya narrated, running towards All Might, He finally got in touch with me again.
All Might turned, noticing Midoriya's footsteps. "Hm?"
"HI ALL MIGHT!" Midoriya shouted, tears pouring from his eyes.
Kaminari glanced at Midoriya with wide eyes. "Woah, dude, are you okay?!"
Midoriya laughed. "I guess I was just excited."
All Might spit out blood. "Gah! Chill out kid!"
Laughter passed around the room, smiles forming at All Might's comment.
A man on the dock spun around, looking their way. "Hey, All Might's here?!"
"What?! Where?!" the woman with him shouted.
All Might tensed up, motioning towards Midoriya. "Way to blow my cover," he whisper-yelled, "Say it was a mistake!"
Midoriya panicked, waving his arms around in the air. "Uh... I was just kidding! Nothing to see here!"
"Lame!"
"Aw... I wanted an autograph..."
"That didn't take much effort," Jiro mentioned, raising a brow.
The two let out sighs of relief before resuming a normal conversation.
"Congrats on getting in," All Might congratulated, holding his hand in the air.
Midoriya gave All Might a quick high five. "Oh, I couldn't have done it without your help!"
"Oh, speaking of which... I didn't tell anyone at U.A. I've been training you or anything."
"Hm?"
"Really," All Might assured him, holding his hand to the side. "Really. I wasn't one of the judges and I didn't pull any strings for you. You earned that spot all on your own."
"Not even using any special advantages!" Kirishima sighed, grinning. "Dude, you're so manly."
Tetsutetsu nodded, arms crossed. "Agreeable."
"You know, now that I think about it, that's really impressive," Sero commented. "I mean, he got his quirk the day he had to use it, and still passed!"
Sato nodded. "Yeah, that is pretty awesome."
"Thanks guys," Midoriya blushed.
Midoriya bowed, smiling. "Thanks for telling me...! I'm glad to hear that." He glanced up, his grin growing. "Oh yeah! I was really surprised to hear that you're gonna be a teacher at U.A. this year! I was wondering what brought you here all the sudden!" He closed his eyes, deepening his voice as he raised a finger. "After all, your agency is in Minato Tokyo and everyone knows-"
"Getting creepy!" All Might mentioned, causing Midoriya to make an awkward face.
Mina laughed. "All Might has so many great one-liners."
All Might grinned. "You have to when you're always in the public eye."
Aizawa rolled his eyes, secretly smiling under his scarf. "Alright, hotshot."
Turning around, All Might walked forwards, staring out at the water. "The school didn't want me telling anyone about the job until they made an official announcement. It seemed like fortuitous timing. An easy way to find someone new to inherit One For All."
Midoriya's mouth widened slightly as he remembered hearing of All Might's hunt for a successor. So that's it. He was originally planning to give it to a U.A. student. He glanced down sadly, staring at his hands. Someone who was strong. Who already had a quirk.
"Aw man he's doing it again," Sero groaned.
Mina threw her arms in the air, connecting eyes with Midoriya. "C'mon Midoriya, aren't you ever gonna learn that you're awesome?!"
"Uh, sorry," Midoriya sheepishly smiled.
"Your power completely wrecked my body. And all I did was jump and throw one punch. I can't control it. What do I do?" Midoriya questioned, raising his head.
All Might turned, facing the boy. "You'll learn to manage it in time. Hoping to master it right away is like asking a baby to run a marathon. You still have to go through the process of learning how to walk."
"Babies," Todoroki mumbled. He glanced over at Midoriya, then at All Might, narrowing his eyes in between the two.
Midoriya dropped his shoulders. "Yeah." He then paused for a moment before snapping his head upwards, a shocked expression on his face. "WAIT! You knew I was gonna get hurt that badly?!"
"Well...," All Might tapped his forehead, "We were in a time crunch." He glanced upwards, giving the boy a thumbs up. "It worked out okay. Plus, now you know what you're dealing with."
"All Might, really?" Aizawa sighed.
Gran Torino raised his eyebrows, an unimpressed look on his face. "Toshinori, you really need to learn how to handle these situations better."
"Strangely," Yaoyoruzu mentioned, "If Midoriya had tested it out beforehand, he might've not been in any shape to do the test, as Recovery Girl couldn't heal him. And if he had gotten the hair earlier so he could train, he might not have been prepared enough. So it's not entirely awful."
All Might nodded. "Yes, I definitely was trying to do that."
Aizawa smacked his head. "Stop."
All Might looked at Aizawa, a betrayed look on his face while the other simply looked on annoyedly.
All Might bent down, picking up 2 cans of gas. "Right now, your quirk is either all or nothing. One day, you'll be able to control your output. Then you'll be able to adjust exactly how much power you're using."
Midoriya smiled. "I just need control?"
An image of a filled glass appeared, a crack down the center. "You're overflowing with energy at the moment. Through training, your body will hold it better." The water in the glass swished around, moving without spilling the water.
"Glasses... Eggs...," Mineta mumbled.
All Might transformed into his hero form, crushing the cans in his palm. "Then it's yours to command!"
Midoriya looked on, gaining a determined expression.
"Look! It really is All Might!" the man from before pointed out.
The woman gasped. "No way! Where'd he come from?!"
All Might's sweat dropped as he grunted. He paused for a moment before rushing away, calling out to Midoriya. "Right. Now we run!"
"I uh, feel like this should've crossed your mind sooner," Tetsutetsu commented.
All Might glanced away, sighing with a slight blush on his cheeks. "Look, sometimes I don't think ahead, alright?"
"Clearly," Aizawa joked.
Present Mic looked at the man, bewildered. "Did you just-"
"Quiet," Aizawa said, shooting him a death glare.
Midoriya glanced towards him before following quickly behind. "Huh...? Okay!"
Taking a look behind him, All Might kept up his smile. Imagery of a lit torch filled the screen before centering on Midoriya. The torch that I've passed onto you is but a small flame right now. In time, it will be kindled-until you wield a raging inferno. The camera locked onto All Might's face, zooming out several seconds later to pan into the sky. The more powerful you become, the more you'll outshine me. Eventually I'll retire-my job complete. Hm! Deep stuff, All Might.
Kaminari stroked his imaginary beard. "Deep stuff indeed."
Jiro, however, sighed, placing her head in her hands.
"Strange how All Might knew from the start he was going to retire," Kirishima commented. "It never even crossed my mind."
The rest of the students nodded in silent agreement, while All Might glanced over the crowd, nodding as well.
A title card was shown, revealing moments later that it was April-the first day of school.
Midoriya's mother stood behind her son, watching as he kneeled on the ground, tying his shoes. "Izuku? You're all set?"
"Yeah," he quickly replied.
"Are you sure?" she worried, "You didn't just pack action figures, right?"
Midoriya turned around, slightly annoyed as he stood up with his backpack. "I have everything! Now I've gotta go. I don't wanna be late!"
Kirishima stood up, shaking his head as he crossed his arms. "Woah, woah, woah!" He glanced at Midoriya. "Stop right there-why is our cinnamon roll so angsty here?"
"Yeah, that's Tokoyami's thing!" Kaminari shouted.
Tokoyami opened his mouth to protest, but quickly shut it, realizing he didn't have much to say.
Midoriya blushed, rubbing the back of his neck with a sheepish smile. "I guess I was kinda stressed... I feel kinda bad now."
"Izuku!" his mother stopped him.
The boy turned around. "What?"
Inko glanced down with a happy smile, unphased by her son's apparent annoyance. "I'm really proud of you, son."
"That's better," Kirishima nodded, sitting back down.
Mina sighed. "Really, it's a war-ending smile."
"Yeah, I practically went into a diabetic coma just looking at it," Kaminari grinned.
Midoriya blushed. "Guys..."
That day... I began my highschool career. Midoriya paused before smiling, his fingers wrapped around the doorknob. "I'll see you soon."
The camera panned up a hill, revealing the large, glass building that was U.A. High.
The acceptance rate was just as small as it had always been, Midoriya narrated. One in three-hundred. Four people got in because of recommendations, and 36 through the regular exams. Izuku ran down the hall to his classroom, holding onto his backpack. We were split into two classes of twenty students each.
"It's insane how difficult it is to get into U.A.," Sato commented.
"Yeah, I was so excited when I got in!" Hagakure said, a hint of the same excitement in her voice.
He glanced at the wall as he ran, searching for his room. "Class 1A... 1A... C'mon, where is it?" He let out a small gasp when he noticed the sign for the room. "There!"
His eyes widened as they travelled up the humongous door. "Man, this thing is huge...! Are there giants here?!" He clenched onto his backpack, lips wobbly as he put on a determined face. "The most promising students in the country are waiting here.
Thought bubbles of Iida and Bakugou appeared, frightening him. He gasped before shaking them off, forcing their images away. "Maybe we're in different classes," he attempted to reassure himself, "Maybe everyone in here is nice."
Kaminari laughed. "Good luck with that one, pal."
Iida glanced over at Midoriya, eyes wide. "Is that really how you saw me?!"
Midoriya waved his hand. "Nooooo..." He glanced down, lowering his voice. "Yes."
"What do you think of me, punk?!" Bakugou barked.
Kirishima sighed. "Dude, you just proved his point."
Midoriya slid the door to the side, revealing the two people he least wanted to see.
"Take your feet off of that desk now!" Iida shouted at Bakugou.
Bakugou smirked, taking pleasure in annoying the boy. "Huuuh?"
"It's the first day and you're already disrespecting this academy by scuffing school property, you cretin!" Iida scolded.
"Uh, it doesn't matter that much, kid," Cementoss said nervously.
"It's important to me!" Iida defended.
"You're kidding me, right?!" Bakugou laughed, causing Iida to step backwards. "Your old school put a stick up your (i'm not gonna swear, soooooooo). Or were you born with it?"
"Oh snap!" Kaminari gasped dramatically.
Midoriya's face fell-wearing an uneasy smile. "Just my luck."
Iida opened his mouth to speak before pausing, then placing his hand on his chest. "Let's start over," he reached his other arm out, "I'm Tenya Iida from the Somei Private Academy."
Bakugou's face twisted into one of annoyance, his head tilting from side to side. "Somei, huh? So you must think you're better than me! I'm gonna have fun tearin' you a new one!"
Cementoss tilted his cementy head. "He was just trying to introduce himself...?"
Kaminari sighed, leaning on his hand. "You must be new here."
Iida gasped, sweat droplets appearing on him as he pulled backwards. "You would threaten me?! Your own classmate?! Are you sure you're in the right place?"
Bakugou scoffed before turning towards the door, catching Iida's attention as well.
"It's him," Iida said, staring at Midoriya.
The rest of the class' heads turned towards the boy, causing him to become flustered. "Uh... Hiii!"
Iida walked over to him, unintentionally in an aggressive way. "Good morning! My name is Tenya Iida from the-"
Midoriya put his hands up. "Y-yeah! I know." Iida paused while Midoriya introduced himself, a slightly worried expression on his face. "I'm Izuku Midoriya... It's super nice to meet you...!"
Mina laughed. "Iida, you scared him!"
"I apologize, Midoriya!" Iida said. "It won't happen again!"
Sero sighed as Midoriya looked on awkwardly. "Do you even hear yourself...?"
"I hear myself just fine. Is there something wrong with my hearing?" Iida asked.
"Great," Jiro raised her brows, unimpressed. "He caught Kaminari's dumb."
Pikachu protested. "Hey!"
Iida took on a more serious tone. "Midoriya. You realized there was something more to the practical exam, didn't you? You must be very perceptive. And I completely misjudged you." He glanced backwards, looking defeated. "I admit, as a student, you're far superior to me."
A sweat drop appeared on the back of Midoriya's head. Uhm... I find that hard to believe.
"Yeah, I really didn't have any second motives," Midoriya laughed. "Though, it'd be cool if I thought of that!"
Iida nodded, glancing over at the boy. "Yes-but you still did it nobly."
Suddenly, Uraraka appeared behind Midoriya, catching his attention. "Hey, I recognize that messed up hair! Falling boy!"
Kirishima raised his brow. "I'm not sure if I'd really want to be remembered like that..."
"Hey-she remembered him in the first place. That's something," Kaminari mentioned.
Aoyama smiled, winking. "I cannot be forgotten! I shine too much!"
As everyone stared at him, Nejire stood, sticking her thumb up. "Good job, sparkly dude!"
"Please, Nejire...," Tamaki mumbled, blushing.
Midoriya blushed, thoughts causing him to ignore her talking. Oh my gosh! It's that nice girl who talked to me! She looks good in that uniform...
Upon hearing his thoughts, Midoriya turned a bright shade of red.
"WOAH, WOAH, WOAH!" Mina gasped. "HOLD THE PHONE. NOW HAND THE PHONE TO ME." She stared at Midoriya, wide-eyed. "What did you just say?!"
"I-uhm.... Er...," Midoriya stuttered, averting his eyes.
Uraraka blushed just as hard as Midoriya, attempting to hide her face.
"It's just Midoriya being a perv again," Mineta commented casually. "He can't help it-it's his nature."
Jiro rolled her eyes. "Not this again. Not from you."
"I'm sorry!" Midoriya groaned, burying his face in his hands.
Uraraka glanced up at him, wearing a bright shade of pink along with a wavy smile. "I-it's fine, Deku," she said, eyes spinning as her heart pounded. "N-no big deal."
"Clearly it is!" Midoriya sighed.
"Alright, guys. I'm sure most of us have thought similar things about other people," Kirishima said, lightly blushing as his eyes moved to a cERTAIN PERSON. (in my heart, it's Bakubro) "So we should probably give it a rest before they pass out."
The theater collectively nodded, blushes spread far and wide.
Midnight blushed, smiling widely. "Oh, young love!"
Aizawa glared at her. "Don't be getting any ideas."
Uraraka jumped into the air, grinning as she pumped her arm. "That punch was amazing!"
"Oh, hey, hi," Midoriya said nervously, turning red. His face dripped with sweat, though he soon blocked it with his hands. "Oh my gosh... So I should probably be thanking you for going in and talking to him."
"Huh? How'd you know about that?" Uraraka questioned.
"Oh uh... I...Um...What?"
"Well now we know," Kaminari laughed.
"Mhm...," Uraraka smiled awkwardly, still blushing from earlier.
The camera focused on Bakugou, an annoyed look on his face. His memory was displayed on the screen, showing what had happened with Midoriya.
"I can't believe we have not one but two students from our school heading off to U.A.!" the teacher said, congratulating Midoriya and Bakugou. Midoriya straightened himself, the teacher looking at him while Bakugou glared. "And to think you're one of them, Midoriya. It's a miracle!"
"Strange how no one really questions it, huh?" Sero mentioned.
I nodded. "Plot convenience."
"Wh-"
"And now we move on!"
The memory cut to Midoriya pinned against a wall, Bakugou grabbing him by the collar. "What did you do to pass the exam?!" Bakugou demanded the answer. "You must've cheated somehow, right?! I'm supposed to be the first and only student from this awful school to get into U.A.! But you had to go and mess everything up! I warned you not to apply!"
"Dude, does it really matter how many people from your school got into U.A.?" Kaminari sighed.
Bakugou sighed. "It did at the time, alright?"
"Ay, Bakubro!" Kirishima grinned, "I knew you could respond calmly!" The redhead patted Bakugou's back, causing the blonde to look away with a hidden smile.
Bakugou's enraged look turned into one of surprise as Midoriya grasped his wrist. "Kaachan... Someone I look up to told me... That I can become a hero. That's why I applied. That's why I'm going." Midoriya had a determined face, causing Bakugou to let out a small gasp. "Like it or not-you can't stop me!"
"You go, Deku!" Uraraka cheered.
Mina grinned. "Yeah, Midoriya!"
Sato laughed. "Are you his cheerleaders or something?"
"Duh," Mina nodded.
"It's also easier to write that way," I mentioned, pressing play before anyone else could respond.
Moments after Midoriya's outburst, the focus was once again on the present. Bakugou glared downwards, thinking of what Midoriya said to him. "I'm gonna ruin that little punk. Right after I figure out how he got in."
The camera focused back onto Midoriya and Uraraka. While Uraraka spoke, Midoriya averted his eyes, hiding his tomato-red face with his hands.
"What do you think we're doing today besides orientation?" Uraraka asked, smiling widely as she moved her arms up and down. "I wonder what our teachers are like-I can't wait to meet everybody!"
A voice came from near the ground, the screen centering on a dark-haired scruffy looking man in a sleeping bag. Aizawa. "If you're just here to make friends, then pack up now."
Present Mic threw his head forward, a loud laugh escaping from his lips. And, after his outburst, the rest of the teachers began to chuckle as well, amused by Aizawa's 'uniqueness.' Even class 1B began to look on confused, some laughter coming from their group as well.
"Alright, I get it," Aizawa sighed.
"Good one, Mr. Caterpillar," Present Mic snickered, patting the back.
Aizawa glared at the blonde, causing him, along with the others, to quickly shut up. "I said I get it." He turned away, glancing downwards. "Besides, it's comfy."
Midoriya's shoulders quickly rose, a mixture of shock, fear, and confusion present on his face. He stared downwards, past Uraraka, causing her to confusedly look backwards. The girl, after seeing Aizawa, made a strained noise, her, Midoriya, and Iida still staring at the caterpillar man.
"Welcome to U.A.'s hero course," he said tiredly, unzipping his bag slightly. He pulled out fruit pouch, finishing it off quickly as he still laid on the ground.
"Eraserhead," Midnight smirked, "Really?"
"What did I just say?" he groaned.
Each of the three-Midoriya, Iida, and Uraraka, looked on in horror. What is that thing?! They all thought in unison.
Aizawa rose, releasing himself from the sleeping bag. "It took 8 seconds before you all shut up-that's not gonna work. Time is precious. Rational students would understand that.
"Alright, but I feel like it was longer than that," Sato commented.
"Time works in mysterious ways...?" Tetsutetsu offered.
Huh? Who is this guy...? Midoriya wondered. If he's here, then he must be some kind of pro. But, the camera panned up Aizawa's body, he looks so worn out... What's his deal?
Aizawa glanced to the side, facing the rest of the class. "Hello, I'm Shota Aizawa. Your teacher."
Midoriya posed strangely, internally gasping. Huh?! Our teacher?!
"You'd think he'd realize who he was, considering how much of a fanboy he is," Present Mic mentioned.
Midoriya blushed. "H-hey!"
Midnight ignored him. "I mean, Eraserhead isn't exactly well-known. Besides, he wasn't using his quirk or anything."
"Right let's get to it," Aizawa said, pulling a P.E. uniform from his sleeping bag. "Put these on and head outside."
'Huhs' were passed around the classroom before the screen switched to All Might. He sat in the library, reading a book titled 'Teacher Directory.'
U.A.'s course doesn't follow the normal academic path. He exhaled and sat backwards, looking to the side. Get the wrong homeroom teacher and life is Hell.
Aizawa glanced over to the man, yet All Might only looked away, whistling 'nonchalantly'.
The focus was once again on the class, where the students were lined up outside. "What?! A quirk assessment test?" they all shouted in confusion.
Uraraka raised her arms to her chest, concern in her voice. "But orientation... We're gonna miss it...!"
Aizawa spoke, his back facing the girl. "If you really wanna make it to the big leagues, you can't waste time on pointless ceremonies." Everyone stepped backwards, surprised at his comment. "Here at U.A.," he continued, turning his head to face them, "We're not tethered to traditions. That means I get to run my class however I see fit."
"Eraserhead, you still have to adhere to the rules," Nezu commented.
Aizawa seemed unphased. "Yeah, well, they needed this."
The man turned, body now facing towards the group as well. "You've been taking standardized tests most of your lives." He held up a phone, a sort of measuring app open. "But you never got to use your quirks in physical exams before." The camera panned over the students before settling back on Aizawa. "The country's trying to pretend we're all equal by not letting those with the most power excel. It's not rational. One day, the ministry of education will learn."
"It is kinda weird how students don't at least have certain classes where they can use their quirks," Sero mentioned.
Iida nodded. "Yes, but it could easily get out of hand. And, unfortunately, it's not for us to decide."
"Bakugou," Aizawa turned towards the boy, hands in his pockets. "You managed to get the most points in the entrance exam. What was your farthest distance throw with a softball when you were in junior high?"
The blonde looked slightly downwards, responding quickly. "67 metres, I think."
"Right. Try doing it with your quirk. Anything goes, just stay in the circle." After a moment, Aizawa spoke up again. "Go on. You're wasting our time."
Midnight sighed. "You gave him like 3 seconds, Eraserhead."
"That's plenty of time," Aizawa said, a completely straight face.
"Dude...," Kaminari mumbled.
Bakugou began to stretch, ball in his right hand. "Alright, man. You asked for it." He planted his foot into the ground, readying his arm. I'll add a little heat to my pitch and drop their jaws.
The boy quickly stepped forwards, face filled with rage and arrogance. He released the ball from his fingertips, complementing the throw with a hefty explosion as he yelled out "DIE!"
"That's the spirit...," Cementoss smiled, "But uh... Maybe lose the 'die'?"
"I think it's become a habit at this point," Kaminari chuckled. "It's not that bad-we know he won't actually hurt is." He grinned, teasing his friend. "Isn't that right, Bakugou?"
"I'll kill you," Bakugou said, though he had no real mal intent.
A large explosion erupted only a few feet away from Bakugou, clearing away to reveal the ball soaring. As it rocketed, it left behind rings of smoke, along with a trail of fire.
Midoriya stared, eyes wide. "Oh woah," he said nervously.
Sero laughed nervously. "Yeaaaah, that's pretty impressive."
"Bakugou is pretty strong and an overall well-rounded hero. If he learned to cooperate more, he'd be perfect," Midnight commented.
The blonde blushed lightly. "Yeah, that's right!"
As the ball fell from the sky, Aizawa began to speak once again. "All of you need to know your maximum capabilities." The ball soon bounced against the ground, coming to a rolling stop. And, as it ceased to move, Aizawa pulled out his phone, showcasing the number that was displayed on it. '705.2' "It's the most rational way of figuring out your potential as a pro hero.
Gasps circled around, most students looking shocked in some way or another.
"Woah! Seven hundred and five metres? Are you kidding me?" Kaminari said, a nervous look on his face.
"I still agree with my past self," Kaminari laughed, rubbing the back of his neck.
Mina clapped her hands together, grinning. "I wanna go! That looks like fun!'
"This is what I'm talkin' about," Sero exclaimed, "Usin' our quirks as much as we want!"
Aizawa glanced down annoyedly. "So this looks fun, huh? You have 3 years here to become a hero. You think it's all gonna be games and playtime?" He grinned, though it was a wicked one. "Idiots. Today you'll compete in 8 physical tests to gage your potential. Whoever comes in last has none. And will be expelled immediately."
"Eraser," Midnight groaned.
Nezu smiled. "We've talked about this, Eraser. You can't go around expelling as many students as you want."
"It's better than allowing them to continue believing they have potential when they don't," Aizawa said bluntly.
"Huh?!" the class shouted in unison.
All Might smacked his hand against his forehead, sweat dripping down his face. "Oh no. He got Aizawa. Midoriya's gonna be singled out from the start..."
"And so it came to be true," Midoriya sighed.
"I was wondering what he was saying to you," Uraraka mentioned. "From where we were, we couldn't hear most of what you guys were talking about."
Midoriya's face was one of worry and terror. He imagined only himself standing there, Aizawa staring him down. Immediate expulsion...? 8 tests...? Not good... He gulped, wrapping his hand around the other's wrist. His fingers twitched as his worries flooded his mind. I can only use One For All at 0 or 100 percent right now... I don't have any control yet.
"Poor kid," Powerloader commented.
Why exactly wasn't he expelled? Nighteye asked himself.
Mirio grinned, speaking to the man as if he could read minds. "You'll see."
Midoriya snapped out if it with Aizawa's words, though he kept up the same frightened expression.
"Like I said-I get to decide how this class runs." Aizawa creepily grinned with whtite pupils, pulling his hair upwards to reveal the expression. "Understand?" The camera showed each student, their worries and confidence clearly shown. "If that is a problem, then you can head home right now."
Midoriya gulped. A huge test on the first day of school. What am I gonna do?!
"Guess I'll die," Kaminari shrugged.
Title cards flashed across the screen, proceeded by a center on Uraraka. "You can't send one of us home!" she argued, eyebrows pointed downwards. "I mean, we just got here! Even if it wasn't the first day, that isn't fair!"
Aizawa quickly shut her down, earning a gasp from the students. "Oh, and you think natural disasters are? Or power hungry villains. Hm? Or catastrophic accidents that wipe out whole cities?" Events appeared on screen, showcasing what he spoke of. "No. The world is full of unfairness. It's a hero's job to try and combat that unfairness. If you wanna be a pro, you're gonna have to push yourself to the brink. For the next 3 years, U.A. will throw one terrible hardship after the other at you. So go beyond. Plus Ultra style." He tilted his head, smiling as he gestured with his finger. "Show me it's no mistake that you're here."
"Although his methods are harsh, they are logical," Midnight commented. "The majority of what Eraser said is true."
"Yes-while unfortunate, there isn't as much fairness in the real world than at school. Though," Nezu sighed, "Most of you have plenty of experience with that."
Iida pulled a water bottle from his pocket, sipping it as he thought. I don't approve of this kind of hazing, but U.A.'s the top hero program. I have no choice.
Time to blow these nerds away, Bakugou thought, smirking and stretching.
Uraraka and Midoriya both clenched their fists, masking their fear with determination.
"Now then, we're just wasting time by talking," Aizawa said. "Let the games begin."
"I know we were there and were literally doing the activities while terrified," Mina admitted, "I'm sorta excited to watch it."
"I mean," Kaminari mentioned, "It's probably much more entertaining when you know you aren't going to be expelled."
The screen read as follows: 'Test 1: 50 meter dash'.
A robot of some sort stood at the finish line, ready to measure the times of each student. "Runners, on your marks!" it exclaimed, revealing the racers to be Iida and Tsuyu, "Ready..."
As soon as a 'pop' noise sounded, the two bolted from their positions, with Iida in the lead. He quickly made it to the finish line, followed closely by Tsuyu, who was leaping across the track. "3.04 seconds!"
At 50 meters, I can only get up to third gear, Iida reminded himself.
"Only," Sero laughed.
The screen zoomed in on him, changing colors with a freeze frame. "Tenya Iida!" Present Mic announced, "His quirk? Engine! As you can see," he commented, showing Iida's steaming legs, "His legs are pretty dang fast."
"Well hello, me!" Present Mic grinned.
Aizawa raised an eyebrow. "You mean you didn't know about this?"
"Nope!" the blonde laughed.
"Yeah," I informed them, "Present Mic is an announcer so his voice was used for these introductions."
"Well, he's definitely in his element," Aizawa mentioned to himself, "But speed won't help him in every test."
"Though, it could help in a lot of situations," Midoriya mentioned.
"Yes," Iida nodded, "I find my quirk to be quite versatile. Though," he admitted, "There might be some slight bias."
After everyone finished speaking, Tsuyu's time was revealed to be 5.58 seconds. She turned around to the camera, ribbiting before the view shifted to Uraraka.
Uraraka tapped her fingers against her shoulder before turning to touch her foot. "I'll lighten up my shoulders (I have no idea what she says here, but she touches her shoulder sooo). Oh, and my shoes too!"
"Ochaco Uraraka!" Present Mic announced, "Her quirk: Zero Gravity."
"Get set!" the robot said, sounding for the 'team' to go.
Present Mic continued as the screen trailed Uraraka, who ran towards the finish, closing her eyes as she pumped her limbs."She can nullify the gravitational pull of anything she touches." Imagery of Uraraka puking from the test appeared. "But if she uses her power too much, she totally hurls!"
"5.49 seconds! 7.15 seconds!" the robot announced, the latter score being Uraraka's.
"So exactly how much can you lighten yourself?" Kirishima asked.
"Well, I can more than before," Uraraka said, "Though still not all that much. At least not enough to make me super fast or anything."
Midoriya smiled at her, unknowingly causing her to blush. "I'm sure you'll figure it out one day."
Uraraka arrived at the finish, breathing heavily. After a moment, she pressed her fingers together and smiled. "Well at least that's faster than junior high!"
"Woo, positivity," Tokoyami 'cheered.'
Aoyama smiled and turned around, a kneeled Mina looking up at him from the side. "Nice attempts, mon ami. But you're just not showing enough pinash." He put his arms around his head, squatting as the robot started the race. He quickly jumped into the air, rocketing himself backwards with his quirk. "Let your powers shine!"
As he did for the rest of the students, Present Mic introduced Aoyama. "Yuga Aoyama! His quirk? Naval laser! That's right-a belly button laser!"
Although Aoyama was originally going fast, he began to lose speed, eventually falling to the ground.
Tetsutetsu closed one of his eyes, pulling backwards. "Oooh...,"
"...But he can't keep it up forever," Present Mic finished.
As he turned on the ground, Mina easily passed him, with him making it to the finish in a few more seconds. "5.51 seconds...!"
A dirtied Aoyama turned around with his hands on his hips, still confident and sparkling. "Shooting my beautiful beam for more than a second hurts my tummy."
All of those in the theater-apart from Aoyama himself-gained a sweat drop.
Sero, Kirishima, Kaminari, and Ashido looked on. What a tool...
Testing the upper limits of their powers helps me assess their room for growth, Aizawa thought to himself. It becomes clear what they can and can't do-their true potential. He looked to the side, making way for Midoriya and Bakugou's race.
"Aww, he has good motives!" Midnight gushed.
"Please stop," Aizawa sighed.
Midoriya stood nervously, while Bakugou showed a mixture of confidence and annoyance. "Runners, on your marks! Ready..." The two raised their bodies, prepared to run. And, as soon as they heard the 'pop,' they went off.
Sometimes, pros have to be creative in order to succeed.
"You're entirely right about that, Eraser," Cementoss commented.
Powerloader nodded. "If you only use your quirk for the most obvious reason, there's no way you'll make it as a pro. You have to find other ways in which it'll work."
Bakugou threw his hands behind him, lighting rapid explosions in his palm. Using this technique, he propelled himself forwards, while Midoriya lagged behind. "Burst speed!" he called out.
"4.13 seconds!"
"Katsuki Bakugou! Quirk: Explosion!"
After Present Mic introduced Bakugou, Midoriya crossed the finish line. "7.02 seconds!"
Bakugou glanced down at his smoking hands, speaking arrogantly. "My power has more uses than anyone else's at this school." He looked up, eyeing a panting Midoriya. Pathetic.
"He's not wrong, but it's a bit arrogant," Midnight commented.
Snipe nodded. "Yes-as said before, he has the potential to be a fantastic hero if he drops the attitude."
Kirishima grinned, elbowing Bakugou. "Here, that, Bakubro? They think you can be a great hero!"
Bakugou grumbled, but was secretly somewhat pleased. "I know."
Midoriya was bent over, hands on his knees as he heaved. There are still 7 tests. Everyone's gonna be using their quirks on all of them and getting awesome results.
The camera view revealed Midoriya's panicked face, showing a clear sense of worry and unease. So what do I do? I've got a ton of power but I can only use it once. And it'll break me... Control...! That's what I need. He squeezed his eyes shut, teeth clenched. Maybe I can focus like All Might suggested.
"See, he's trying to be smart!" Mirio said, turning towards Nighteye.
Nighteye pushed his glasses up, not breaking contact with the screen. "We'll see."
The boy tightened his grip on his knees, a memory of All Might coming back to him. And, as his voice echoed, a scene with the two faded in.
"You can harness One for All. It's simple," All Might said. He leaned backwards, arms outstretched as he shouted. "You have to feel it!"
Midoriya curled his body. "Mm! Can you be a little more specific?!"
Laughter was passed around the room, their smiles bright due to their little exchange.
"That's great," Kaminari chuckled.
All Might readied his fists, holding and thrusting them forwards as if he were boxing. "So, you already know what it's like to fire on all cylinders?"
"...Yeah, like a lot of broken bones!" Midoriya answered uneasily.
Sero laughed. "There are some great lines in here."
Many others laughed in agreeance.
"No!" the man turned to Midoriya, "I'm talking about the rush inside! You must've felt it coursing through you! What was it like?!"
Midoriya put his finger on his chin before making strange noises, along with motions to compliment them. "Uhm... Like... Bzzt! Or no! Like... Woosh! Or maybe kapow... or... uhm..." He finally smacked his fist against his palm, a sudden realization striking him, paired with a visual of a microwave. "Oh, I know! Like an egg about to explode in a microwave!"
"NOT AGAIN, MIDORIYA!" Kaminari groaned.
Mineta sighed. "Your metaphors are so boring..."
"I think they're fine...," Midoriya mumbled.
All Might laughed, blood rocketing from his mouth. "That's pretty boring, but okay! If that's the metaphor you wanna go with. Then lower the wattage or... decrease the cooking time. Whichever one works. Keep focusing on that image and keep the egg from exploding, all right?"
"He agrees," Kaminari pointed out. "Also, wHAT IS UP WITH THE CONSTANT BLOOD?"
"Yes, I share a common question, All Might." Iida glanced towards the man, a somewhat worried expression on his face. "How are you not dead?"
Midnight and Present Mic fell back in their chair laughing, while Aizawa hid his smile.
All Might gaped, becoming embarrassed as he looked around. "I uh..."
I grinned. "Comedic effect!"
"I'll accept it," Kaminari shrugged.
Midoriya glanced up in surprise. I can do that.
The man tapped his finger against his forehead. "You've got 3 weeks until school. The more you concentrate, the more you'll learn. Control over One for All isn't gonna happen overnight. You'll nail it one day. You just gotta keep trying."
"Yes-everything works in such a way," Nezu commented, sipping his tea.
Kaminari looked around, wide-eyed. "Does that guy ever stop drinking tea?!" he whispered loudly to his classmates.
Nezu smiled. "Haha. No."
With a newfound determination, present Midoriya looked up, his emotions clearly present on his face. And, afterwards, the next task quickly began. 'Grip Strength.'
Midoriya closed his eyes, the strength tester in his hand. Okay. Keep the egg from blowing up.
Imagery of his damaged body appeared in his mind, and, in response, he began to grip the device in his arms. After a few moments, there was a small clicking noise, revealing a score of 56 kilograms. Midoriya looked somewhat disappointed for a moment, before he heard Sero's voice.
"It's not bad," Midnight commented. "Just unfortunate that he couldn't use his quirk."
"And," Power Loader mentioned, "It's not like he's not the only one in that department. Not everyone has a quirk that'll give them strength for this kind of thing."
"Wow!" he shouted, looking at Shoji with awe. "You hit 540 kilograms?! You're such a beast!"
There were some wide eyes around the room, staring at Shoji.
"It's nothing special. My quirk is just well-suited for that," Shoji commented, secretly enjoying the attention.
Snipe glanced at the boy. "It's still impressive, though."
"Yeah, like a muscly octopus!" Mineta agreed.
After glancing at his own score, eyebrows furrowed, the next activity was shown. 'Standing Long Jump.'
Aoyama and Bakugou, who preceded Midoriya, easily cleared it while the latter just reached the robot. He fell to the ground, letting out a small shout before calming down. Focus...
"Aw, poor Midoriya," Mina sighed.
Yaoyorozu nodded. "Must've been awful to know you could do something if you really tried, but couldn't do it without poor consequences."
Midoriya sighed, laughing slightly. "Yeah, kinda."
"Don't sweat it, Deku!" Uraraka grinned, "You're super strong now!"
"Thanks, Uraraka," he smiled.
The girls all cooed, causing Uraraka and Midoriya to blush.
Midoriya coughed nervously. "A-alright, why don't we get back to the show?"
'Repeated Side Steps.'
Mineta easily conquered the side steps, placing his balls (h a h a s o f u n n y) on either side of him before bouncing off of them. This caused Midoriya to look both horrified and worried, before the activity changed once again. 'Ball throw.'
"This'll be great!" Mina grinned. "Though," she sighed, "I didn't do so hot."
Uraraka grasped the ball within her hands, glancing up with a smile. After pulling her arm back, she lunged it back forwards, releasing the ball from her fingertips. The ball spun into the distance, with the show time-skipping until the ball twinkled as if it were a star.
Aizawa tiredly lifted the phone with the results on it, an infinity symbol displayed on the screen.
The class dropped their jaws. "INFINITY?!"
"That's insane!" Kaminari awed, wide-eyed. "How's that possible?!"
"Makes sense if she can remove gravity like that," Midnight commented.
"I wonder how long it lasts for," Power Loader said.
Uraraka smiled, answering. "It's when I touch my hands together. Though," she laughed, rubbing the back of her neck, "I usually do it pretty early on so I don't get sick. At least when I don't have my costume on."
The screen zoomed in on Midoriya's expression, which was a fearful one. He widened his eyes with worry before squeezing them shut. This is bad. I've gotta come up with some sort of a game plan... Everyone's had at least one crazy good score already.
Midoriya clutched the ball in his hand, staring downwards at it. All that's left is this, the distance run, and the seated toe touch. It's now or never. This is my best chance to use One for All.
Iida watched Midoriya, arms crossed. "If Midoriya doesn't shape up soon, he's the one going home."
It was likely just deception, Nighteye thought. There's no other way he could've passed.
Bakugou turned his head, a confused expression on his face. "Huh? Of course he is!" The blond raised his arm from his hip, pointing at Midoriya as he spoke. "He's a quirkless loser!"
"Wh-" Iida furrowed his brows, arms dropping to his sides. "He has a quirk! Did you not hear about what he did in the entrance exam?"
"Huh?!"
"Actually, Bakubro, were you not wondering how he got into the hero course in the first place?" Kirishima raised his brow, "If he didn't have a quirk, there wasn't really a way to get in."
"I don't know. But...," he admitted, "I've seen many times before how the nerd somehow makes things work out for him."
Midoriya smiled widely. "Thanks, Kaachan!"
Bakugou glared at Midoriya, shutting him up. Still, the freckled boy still kept his smile. "Quiet, Deku."
Aizawa stared at Midoriya, a hint of annoyance in his dead eyes. Here it comes.
Midoriya's eyes were drawn downwards as he thought of his past. Of those who believed in him. Squeezing his eyes shut, he pulled back with sudden reckless abandon, charging up the power of One for All in his arm. I WON'T LET THEM DOWN! Midoriya thought, a fierce passion within him.
"Very passionate," Midnight gushed.
"You really need to stop," Aizawa sighed.
"All strange things aside," Snipe commented, "The kid's determination is impressive. He's got some real moxie."
Thirteen turned to him, shrugging. "It was said that'd he'd become the world's greatest hero. And, even if that was somewhat exaggerated, based off of what we've seen so far, he'll do great."
Aizawa's eyes widened suddenly, his irises becoming a deep red.
"Oh, he's angry!" Present Mic shouted.
Midoriya remained in his throwing pose, ball bouncing pathetically.
"46 meters!"
A look of dread appeared on Midoriya's face. "Huh...?" He raised his arm, looking in between his hands. "I was trying to use it just now...."
A long, flowing scarf began to spread through the picture. "I erased your quirk," Aizawa said simply.
Midoriya snapped out of his daze, glancing to the side. With a gasp, he turned his body fully towards his teacher, frightened by the enraged look on his face.
"And that," Kaminari sighed, "Is what makes Eraserhead so terrifying.
"The judges for this exam...," he paused, eyes fierce. His black hair flowed through the air, his scarf spreading outwards as well. His fingers tightly gripped a piece of the scarf, a pair of goggles resting on his chest. And, more terrifyingly, his voice never wavered when he spoke. "Were not rational enough." The man's eyes became more vicious as he raised his head, connecting eyes with Midoriya. "Someone like you should never be allowed to enroll at this school."
Kirishima's eyes widened. "Woah-what?!"
"Aizawa~Sensei, what exactly are you talking about?" Iida questioned.
"My point stood at the moment," Aizawa said simply.
So what changed his mind...? Nighteye wondered.
Mirio glanced at Sir, grinning.
"Wait...," Midoriya said confused, "You did what to my...?-" The boy stepped backwards with widened eyes. "Those goggles... I know you!" Imagery of 'Eraserhead' on the roof of a building appeared, the man staring into the night. "You can look at someone and cancel out their powers! The erasure hero..." The screen zoomed into the man, "Eraserhead!"
The rest of the students gathered into a group, chatting away.
"Eraser?" Sero asked, "Who's that?"
"Ohh!" Tsuyu said with realization, "I've heard of him! I think he works on the down-low."
*this is just for fun. wanted to share my favorite characters-nothing else! :)
feel free to comment your own, even!
"Personally, I think Aizawa is one of the best characters," I thought aloud.
Yaoyorozu turned towards me, confused. "'Character'?"
"I mean, this is a TV show in my universe," I mentioned.
"Why Aizawa?" Kirishima questioned.
"Of course everyone has their own opinions. Personally, I have a few favorites. Just a few are Aizawa, Todoroki, and Nighteye."
Each of the mentioned names eyed me curiously.
"I mean, they have similar character types. It's not that surprised. Constantly stoic while being accidentally funny," I grinned.
"I'm funny?" Todoroki questioned.
I looked at him, laughing. "Hand crusher, secret love child? Aizawa and Nighteye are similar in the fact that they act tired and annoyed, while also having their funny moments. And it's always nice to see Nighteye fanboy over All Might," I grinned.
Nighteye didn't seem embarrassed-but almost proud about his fan status.
"Oh, and," I coughed, "As for my favorite villain, it's probably between Dabi, Twice, and Compress. Shigaraki isn't awful, though."
Many people stared at me, wide-eyed, while the pros eyed me suspiciously.
Midoriya looked worriedly at me. "You like villains...?!"
I laughed nervously. "Not exactly. But they have interesting character traits and... I'm not on their side-I'm helping you here! Besides, it's a show, remember?! Let's uh-let's move on."
The camera zoomed out, revealing that All Might was spectating from a distance. He peered around from the buildings corner, fingers wrapped around the concrete wall. Aizawa's one of those guys who doesn't like the media because he thinks they interfere with our work. And he judges celebrity heroes like me because I look good in the spotlight.
"Way to boast, All Might," Kaminari laughed.
"He's not wrong, though," Midoriya mentioned, still keeping an eye on me.
Aizawa narrowed his eyes, looking down on Midoriya. "You're not ready. You don't have control over your power.
Midoriya stepped backwards, surprised.
"Were you planning to break your bones again? Counting on someone else to save your useless body?" he asked bluntly, a rage in his voice.
"No!" the boy protested, "That's not what I was trying to do!"
"I can't believe he got so worked about about you, Deku," Uraraka said, a somewhat worried expression on her face. However, she quickly changed her frown into a smile. "But, I'm glad you made it in the end!"
Aizawa suddenly forced his scarf forwards, wrapping them tightly around Midoriya. He pulled the boy close, glaring at him. "No matter what your intentions are, you would be nothing more than a liability in battle."
Nighteye leaned forwards, narrowing his eyes. Exactly. So why was he chosen?
The man's words elicited a surprised response in Midoriya, causing him to let out a small gasp.
Camera on All Might, Aizawa continued. "You have the same reckless passion as another overzealous hero I know. One who saved a thousand people by himself and became a legend." Aizawa glanced annoyedly to the side before refocusing on Midoriya. "But even with that drive... You're worthless if you can only throw a single punch before breaking down. Sorry, Midoriya. With your power, there's no way you can become a hero."
Aizawa sighed. "I apologize, Midoriya. I'd stand by myself if I knew less about you, but as you are now, I'd like to compliment you as being a good student and future hero."
"T-thanks, Mr. Aizawa!" Midoriya stuttered, smiling nervously.
Midnight widened her eyes. A compliment?!
"I can't believe-"
Aizawa cut Present Mic off. "Don't get used to it."
Midoriya gulped before pointing his eyebrows downwards. Though initially shocked, he now looked more determined. Angry, even.
Aizawa closed his eyes, bringing his scarf back towards him, hair falling onto his shoulders. "I returned your impractical quirk," he said with a strange annoyance, walking away. "Take your final throw. Hurry and get it over with."
All Might raised himself up, watching closely. Of course, he wasn't entirely sure what the outcome might be. He was frightened.
"I wonder if our teacher gave him some advice," Iida speculated, hand on his chin.
Kaminari laughed. "Nope!"
"I kind of feel bad for Midoriya, but I understand where Aizawa~Sensei was coming from," Yaoyorozu commented.
Midoriya himself agreed. "Yeah, I wouldn't believe I could do very well, either. At least if I was in his position. I probably seemed too reckless."
"Well, you are," Sero laughed. "But don't feel too bad about it."
"Probably told him to start packing," Bakugou said, no hint of much of an emotion. His hands rested on his hips, eyebrows pointed downwards as he judged the boy.
In the background, Aoyama and Uraraka spoke.
"I'll always be here, cherie," Aoyama said, placing a hand on Uraraka's shoulder.
The girl's expression turned into one of confusion as she turned to face Aoyama. "Wait... Who are you again?"
Mina smirked, raising a brow at Aoyama. "And yet no one could forget you?"
"Must've been because she couldn't see me with my radiance shining so bright," Aoyama said, touching his hand to his forehead.
Sighs went around the room as they stared at the boy, before they moved back onto the show.
The camera moved back to Midoriya after their little exchange, panning up his body. His arms were resting at his sides, one hand limply holding onto the ball. His face reflected his body language, as it was worried while also somewhat sad. I've only got one shot at nailing this so what am I gonna do?
Is he going to use his quirk and have to forfeit the rest of the events like a fool? Aizawa asked himself, splashing eye drops into his eyes. Or admit defeat and settle into last place? He looked judgingly at the boy, face turned upwards. Either way... He doesn't belong here.
"Apparently you were wrong, Aizawa," Midnight smiled.
"I can admit my faults," he said simply.
I still can't control my power... But I can't just give up, either. Do I let the egg explode? Midoriya questioned. It might be my only shot at staying at U.A.
The boy suddenly tensed up, a determined expression on his face. I have to try something... No matter what the consequences!
Aizawa internally sighed. A waste of a quirk.
Once again, Midoriya pulled his arm backwards, rocketing it back forwards as he went to throw the ball. Mr. Aizawa was right about what he said...
Aizawa and All Might each raised their head, a hint of surprise in their eyes.
Mina inched towards the front of her seat, stars in her eyes. "This is gonna be great!" she grinned.
"Yeah, these are my favorite types of moments in shows," Hagakure laughed.
Kirishima nodded. "I can agree."
What's so amazing about him?! Nighteye wondered, almost angry.
...If I can't control my quirk, there's no way I'll ever become a hero!
"Hey, hey!" All Might said, surprised, "Is he for real?!"
"OH YEAH, BABY!" Mina shouted, pumping her fist into the air.
I have to work way harder than everyone else here if I wanna succeed! ...Even if I have a lot to learn... I'll focus on what I can do, right now!
The boy charged One For All in his index finger, letting out a yell as he released the ball. A shockwave of energy pulsed through the sky, ball creating rings of dust as it flew upwards.
Nighteye's lips parted slightly, his eyes wider than before.
"Mirio smiled. "I told you."
Class 1B and the teachers looked on, amazed as well.
"That was so manly!" Tetsutetsu yelled, grinning.
Kirishima nodded. "It was of a manly status."
"Quite impressive," Shiozaki agreed.
"Look at you, Deku!" Uraraka laughed. "Mr. Popular!"
Midoriya simply smiled, happy with himself.
An explosion of wind propelled the ball upwards, causing amazement in the rest of the students. Bakugou, out of all of them, had the most surprised expression.
It hurts..., Midoriya thought, arm hanging downwards. His finger twitched, now a purple color. But, then again, it was only his finger. ...But not as bad as before!
"That was a great display of thinking of consequences," Nezu smiled.
"Midoriya is quite an impressive boy," Midnight nodded.
All Might glanced at all the teachers as they spoke of his pupil, cheering in his mind.
"Were you planning on breaking your bones again? Counting on someone else to save your useless body?" Aizawa's voice echoed, ball falling to the ground before coming to a rolling stop.
Aizawa glanced down at his phone, a score of '705.3' displayed on the screen. A throw like that requires a lot of force... Did he focus all that power into one finger...?
"Mr. Aizawa," the boy said, catching his teacher's attention. He grinned, curling his fingers into a fist. "You see... I'm still standing...!"
"AND THAT'S SUCH A MANLY WAY TO SAY IT!" Tetsutetsu cheered.
Raising his head, Aizawa allowed his lips to spread into a wide grin. "This kid...!"
"Even impressed the darkest soul here," Midnight teased.
Tokoyami slightly turned head before he realized the conversation wasn't about him.
I was worried about you, Young Man, All Might thought, swelling with pride. You knew you had to use One For All, but not at full power or else you'd be KO. Imagery of Midoriya's throw appeared once again on screen. ...So you propelled the ball at the last possible point of contact. ...By sending the power of your quirk shooting through your fingertip...! Minimizing the injury to your body while maximizing your throw...! All Might grinned, head raised. What the heck, Young Midoriya?! How did you go and get so cool?!
"All Might is so cute about Deku!" Uraraka gushed.
All Might laughed. "I'm just impressed, is all."
"Yeah right, you clearly care deeply for that boy," Gran Torino commented. "He even called you dad awhile ago."
"I THOUGHT WE FORGOT ABOUT THAT!" Midoriya shouted, face turning bright red.
"Yes uhm," All Might coughed, "We should move on..."
Don't deny it, Todoroki thought, narrowing his eyes. We all know now...

Helllllloooooo!
I'm sorry for not posting for a while. It's just pretty hard (and occasionally boring :/) to write this. It's not done, though! :D
If you've noticed any of these things, here's some trash explanations!:
I use Kaminari constantly: It's literally because he's the easiest to write with these comments xD
Kirishima, Sero, and Sato: These 3 are easier to write as well, and, for whatever reason, I always accidentally pair up Sero and Sato in conversations??
Midnight and (somewhat) Cementoss: Also super easy to write heehh
Deku: He's a nervous mess in this even though he's become more confident. I've been trying to veer off of that more, though.
Mina: I use her constantly when writing exciting/Izocha moments. She just seems like that kind of person, to be honest xD
Bakugou: He starts out angry, but is becoming more *gasp* emotional! Also, I don't hate him (I actually really like Bakugou now), Class 1A just teases him a lot so I'm using that. Plus, I'm sure the teachers would question him based off of his bullying/arrogant thoughts.
Thanks for reading! <3
