fINALLY A CHAPTER AMIRITE- XD
every time i get a comment like "i cant wait to see more!" or "when will you update this?" i die a little inside
imsosorryoml
still ily xD
tysm to bananaman981, almost died B)
(later on thanks for aizawa eats cereal 11/10)
+ heckign idontrememberyourwattpadname (sorry, "I Am God" xD) for pushing me to do this you lil hecc xD
and yk this is random but I did the math and, on average, it takes about 8-9 minutes to write each minute of the bnha thing (without breaks and junk)
that's like, nearly 3 hours worth of writing for one episode's script-
heckheckheck!!
and again, that's just the script - the input of characters takes several hours as well XD
idk I thought it was interesting B)
also this episode probably has some poor writing because the input was done really late at night and just when I woke up because I made a dumb semi-promise so B,)
the main characters that are probably written poorly are Bakugou, Nighteye, Recovery Girl, and Aizawa (especially Aizawa because for some reason he's a donk in this chapter, imsosorry i love him idk what happened ;,))

alright
continue on! <3

Mirio sat, unable to stop grinning after Nighteye's comment. Once he earned himself an annoyed glare, he glanced away, barely holding back his silly grin.
All Might, similarly, smiled to himself, better at hiding his reaction.
Midoriya was relatively confused at the excitement, but was happy to have been praised by a pro.
"Mmm, I hate to ruin the moment, but we should probably get started now," I said apologetically. "People are probably not happy by the several month absence of this story."
"Oh, okay," Midoriya nodded. He then turned around confusedly at my mention of a story. "Wait wh-"
"You're so lucky, Kacchan," young Midoriya praised. "Your quirk's so cool!" He smiled as he followed his friend. "I hope I get mine soon, too."
Bakugou turned his head towards Midoriya, grinning as he clenched the flagpole in his hand. "Whatever Deku. No matter what quirk you get, you'll never beat me."
An older Bakugou's eyes twitched, teeth gritted. He's just a little bug!
"Must be some sort of super-bug, then," Mina joked, grinning at Midoriya.
Midoriya smiled. "Thanks, Mina."
"No prob, Bob!" Mina winked, shooting finger guns.
Todoroki blinked. "His name's Midoriya."
"...Moving on," Mina said, turning towards the screen.
"But hi-"
Midoriya was shown on the screen, racing forwards with a determined gaze. Until a little while ago, Bakugou ran towards Midoriya, eyes narrowed, a little bug I could crush if I wanted to!
Midoriya charged his fist, tears threatening to drip from his eyes. The wind pressure tore his sleeve as he pushed forward.
Bakugou held his hand out, explosions bursting from his palm. His features showed nothing but rage.
"Don't kill me here," Kaminari glanced down to Bakugou before placing his finger on his chin. "Is it just me, or does he look like an angry pomeranian?"
Mina bursted out laughing. "Oh my god, he dooooes!"
"What?!" Bakugou barked.
"Bro he just barked," Sero grinned.
"I did not!" he scoffed.
Kirishima placed his hand on Bakugou's shoulder. "It's okay, Bakubro. Your secret's safe with us."
Bakugou stood up, clearly angry. "WHAT THE (hecc)?! WHAT ARE YOU ON ABOUT?!"
"Alright, guys," Midoriya said nervously, "Maybe we should knock it off."
"Okay, okay," Kaminari chuckled, "Sorry, Bakugou. I couldn't resist."
Bakugou narrowed his eyes, grumbling as he fell into his chair. "I hate you all," he mumbled under his breath.
"You love us," Mina replied quickly.
"WHAT WAS THAT, PINKY?!"
"Nothing, let's continue!" she grinned, not giving Bakugou a chance to reply.
WHERE'S THAT FLASHY POWER OF YOURS NOW?! DAAANG IIIT!, he grinned angrily, YOU WERE TRICKING ME FOR YEARS BY ACTING WEAK! NOW YOU'VE BEEN LAUGHING BEHIND MY BACK, HUH?!
Bakugou gritted his teeth, the two incredibly close. Now let's see how your flashy quirk compares to mine! His palm steamed, Quirk or no, you'll never beat me, Deku!
Bakugou propelled his arm forwards, unleashing a blast at Midoriya. However, his competitor changed the direction of his fist last second, rocketing it towards the ceiling.
The wind pressure rapidly grew, ceiling cracking before crumbling under the pressure.
"Can I just say how cool that is?" Kaminari sighed. "Man, I wish I had that kind of power."
Kirishima nodded. "A flashy power like that would be really awesome. Though," he glanced towards Midoriya, smiling sheepishly, "I'm not sure I'd trade for the backlash."
"That's fair," Midoriya laughed, scratching his chin.
Bakugou's eyes widened, a slight gasp escaping him as the damage travelled up the side of the building, shattering the windows on every floor.
Iida stepped forwards, staring panicked at the huge hole that was now in the floor. As the wind travelled upwards, his voice cracked. "What's happening?!"
Mina let out a slight laugh, causing Iida to look to the side awkwardly. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry," she waved, "The voice crack got me."
Uraraka smiled, grabbing a pillar with her quirk. "Improvised special move...!" She swung the pillar like a bat, sending hundreds of pieces of rock and rubble flying towards Iida. "The Comet Home Ruuun!"
"Go, Uraraka!" Mina exclaimed.
"You're quite the cheerleader, aren't you?" Midnight commented, smiling.
Mina grinned. "What can I say? This is exciting!"
Iida's eyes widened, arm instinctively going to shield his face. Rocks were hurled towards him, his voice panicked. "In the name of villainy... Stop this!!"
Once again, the theater laughed at Iida's villain impression.
"Dude, that's amazing," Kaminari chuckled.
"I am quite adept at acting, I must say," Iida smiled proudly. "And I suppose I can see the humor in the situation."
While Iida was distracted with trying not to die, Uraraka jumped towards the fake bomb, releasing as she hovered over it. She hugged the bomb, letting out a sigh of relief. "I got it!"
Iida stared, surprised, only able to make a "Guh!" sound.
Bakugou stared up through the tunnel that travelled up through the floors, twitching as the sunlight poured from the sky.
He gritted his teeth, jerking his head to face Midoriya. "So this was... your big plan," he said.
Midoriya's voice was shaky, causing Bakugou to become slightly surprised. "I wasn't... going to use it..." His body was enveloped in smoke, pressed against the concrete floor as his breath rattled. "...Because I can't control it. My body... the backlash of my power yet..." Bakugou stared with anger and confusion swirling in his features. "...Mr. Aizawa said I'd be useless..."
"God, Midoriya," Aizawa facepalmed, "But this is exactly what I said not to do."
Midoriya laughed awkwardly. "Sorry, Mr. Aizawa."
Present Mic grinned, poking Aizawa repeatedly. "Awww? Does someone caaare?"
Aizawa shot him a look. "I hope someone cares about you, because otherwise there'll be no opposition to me throwing you to the ground if you keep that up."
Present Mic stopped, staring with wide eyes as he put his hands up. "Oh..."
"No need to be so harsh, Dadzawa," Midnight sighed.
"Wh-" Aizawa spun towards her, "Is this because of what Todoroki said?"
Midnight grinned slyly. "Possibly."
Although he clearly wasn't happy, Aizawa simply grumbled, dragging his hands down his face annoyedly.
Midoriya's eyes were wide and his arm was scorched, steam coming from the burn. His other was raised in the air, severely damaged from his quirk. Slowly, he dropped his arm, finishing. "...But this was all... that I... could think of..."
Bakugou's eyes widened, a small gasp escaping his lips.
"This... was the only way... I had any chance at winning..." As Midoriya spoke, Bakugou's face twisted into a mixture of emotions, including hatred, surprise, and confusion.
Bakugou looked down, lip twitching.
"I suppose it was a good idea considering the situation," Cementoss commented awkwardly, "But it's probably not great for the long term."
"Yeah, I wouldn't suggest doing that again," Power Loader agreed.
Gran Torino sighed. "Then you'll hate half of what he does later."
Midoriya smiled sheepishly. "Uhm... Sorry..."
Nighteye shook his head, sighing. "Reckless kid." He glanced down to the boy. "If you're going to be the Number One Hero, I sure hope you drop this habit of yours. We don't want another All Might copy."
"H-hey!" All Might sputtered. "Aren't you supposed to be my fan?!"
"Don't get me wrong, I have several posters," Nighteye said with a completely serious face, "But your reckless abandon is incredibly annoying. Stop passing it on."
All Might sunk down in his chair, speechless. Mirio, however, was attempting (and failing) to suppress a grin, excited that Nighteye had at least recognized Midoriya.
"Stop grinning like that," Nighteye sighed.
Mirio nodded, still grinning. "Of course, Sir."
Bakugou stood dumbfounded as Midoriya's words echoed in his mind. "Someone I looked up to told me...," he thought of his and Midoriya's past experiences, "That I can become a hero." Midoriya fell to the ground, dust rising around him. "That's why I applied." The camera panned up Bakugou's face, revealing his shocked expression. "Like it or not... You can't stop me!"
"YEAH, MIDORIYA! YOU GO!" Mina pumped her arms into the air.
Nejire grinned. "Yeaaah!"
Shrugging, Mirio smiled as well. "Go, problem child!"
Tamaki pulled his fingers down his face. "When will this end...?"
After the intro, the screen showed the destroyed building, holes riddling the walls and windows shattered as All Might's voice came over the speakers. "Your indoor combat training is over."
"It should've been over long before anything like this could ever happen," Aizawa said sharply, turning towards All Might who glanced away nervously.
Recovery Girl, unsurprisingly, felt the same. "This habit of yours - and I'm talking to both All Might and Midoriya - needs to stop," she said, causing the two of them to straighten nervously. "Or else you'll kill me before you end up killing yourselves." (don't take this wrong aaaaa)
And, honestly, after that, most people were too scared to say much else.
Iida's attention was caught as Uraraka tiredly slid down the fake bomb, clearly drained. He waved his arms frantically, eyes wide. "Are you okay?!"
Dust circled around Midoriya as All Might shouted. "The hero team... WIIIIINS!"
The class stood in the observation room, terrified and shocked expressions on their faces as they stared at the many screens.
"What a weird way for this to end...," Kaminari said, breaking the silence. Iida was on screen with his mask off, easing Uraraka as she held her hand over her mouth in an attempt not to puke. "The losers are practically untouched..." Bakugou was shown to be standing, staring surprised at Midoriya's beaten body. "And the winners are both on the ground."
"I agree, past me. That is weird," Kaminari nodded.
Jiro sighed. "Stop being an idiot."
Kaminari was silent for a moment before turning towards Jiro. "Wait, what'd you say? I was thinking about the Wii theme."
Jiro facepalmed. "Oh, god."
Kaminari looked incredibly confused, looking around for any answer. However, everyone avoided eye contact and he was eventually left to sit in that confusion, Wii music still in his mind.
Tokoyami lowered his head, eyes closed. "How does the old saying go? They may have lost the battle, but they won the war."
Tsuyu dropped her hand from her chin. "This class is intense."
The scene changed and the screen panned upwards, showing an unconscious Midoriya on a stretcher, being carried away from the building by two robots as All Might watched.
"To the nurse's office," one robot said in a deeper voice, All Might bending down to check on the bow as they moved past.
"I know!" the other robot said, more chipper.
"Aww," Mina squealed, "I love those little guys!"
"They are pretty cute," Hagakure laughed.
Ojiro furrowed his brows. "They're just robots...?"
Nejire sighed. "You'd never understand."
"...What?"
"Don't bother with him, girls," Nejire shook her head, "He's a lost cause."
All Might straightened himself, turning towards Bakugou. The young blonde's hand shook as he stared at it.
My attacks..., he thought to himself, remembering his and Midoriya's battle, ...Deku predicted them. He thought of Midoriya's burnt arm as he gritted his teeth. He made me look like an idiot... And somehow managed to win the exercise.
Bakugou's body trembled and he clenched his fist, Midoriya's voice invading his mind. You've always been stronger, Kacchan! Can't you see?! That's why I want to beat you! Bakugou began breathing heavily. Because you're so amazing!
Bakugou continued heaving, anger and terror present on his face. Does that mean if we really fought... If he didn't hold back at all... His breaths became quicker with each thought. Deku... Would beat me with his quirk?!
"Haha, suck it, Bakugou!" a voice said from out of nowhere. People began looking around confusedly, looking for the source of the sound.
Mina furrowed her brows. "Who said that?"
"Yeah! Ya better speak up now before I roast you, loser!" Bakugou growled, hands sparking with flames.
Everyone simultaneously turned towards Monoma, causing him to look particularly offended. "Hey, don't look at me! I'd at least be willing to admit it," he said, huffing.
"Well if you didn't say anything, then who did?" Hagakure asked confusedly.
Yaoyorozu glanced upwards, pointing towards the top row. "It sounded like it came from somewhere up there."
"But there's no way a teacher said it! You must've heard wrong!" Iida shook his head.
"No, she's right," Midnight commented, "It was louder up here."
"Then who-"
Without any warning, a door (which, come to think of it, probably wasn't even there before) was kicked down, revealing a boy with a ghostbusters costume, panting. Strangely, there was also a banana patch on their chest.
"Uh, who are you?" Shinso asked, as he was the closest one to the mysterious banana man.
"Huh? Oh!" He raised his head, "I heard he was here!"
Ojiro looked at him, bewildered. "Who...?"
"Aizawa's shoe ghost, of course!" the banana man yelled as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
Aizawa blinked. "What?"
"Drats!" the voice from before yelled out again, "He found me!"
Suddenly, Aizawa's shoe floated off his foot, a strange spirit residing inside. "I won't be foiled again!" he yelled, floating upwards and through the ceiling.
The ghostbusting banana man yelled frustratedly. "God - get back here!"
After his shout, he ran back through the doorway, presumably to locate Aizawa's Shoe Ghost.
The entire theater was silent for a moment before Nejire spoke up. "That was weird, right?"
The students and heroes collectively nodded.
"Let's never mention this again?" Midnight suggested.
"Agreed," the audience said in unison.
Iida, Todoroki, Midoriya, Kaminari, and even Aizawa (who was also putting his shoe back on) exchanged glances and a nod. They knew, and they wouldn't tell a soul.
Suddenly, Bakugou's head rose and his panting ceased as All Might's hand was placed on his shoulder.
"Young Bakugou," he said, slightly bent down, "Cool your jets. Let's go review your work." Bakugou's eyes shook as he stared forwards, mouth agape. "Whether you win or lose, you can always take something away from an experience like this. As long as you're open to learn."
"Entirely true," Nezu said, sipping his tea as if nothing had happened (which, according to the theater's agreement, it didn't).
On screen, there was now a large screen that broadcasted the simple message of "Person-To-Person Combat Training: Battle 1 Review," as well as the winning 'A' team and losing 'D' team.
"Well, despite the results," All Might spoke, "The MVP of this exercise is Young Iida...!"
The class gasped, and while Bakugou's eyes were darkened and Uraraka was feeling sick, Iida's head snapped upwards. His face showed clear surprise as he sputtered out, "H-huh?!"
"What a glorious day," Iida said fondly, clearly still proud of the achievement.
"Yeah, yeah, don't get all high and mighty about it, Class 1B did this too!" Monoma said.
Kendo rolled her eyes, smacking him lightly on the head, "He didn't even say anything"
"Ow!" he rubbed his head annoyedly, "But I know he was thinking it!"
Class 1A's sweat dropped. What's wrong with that guy?
Tsuyu raised her finger slightly, turning towards All Might. "Shouldn't it be one of the heroes instead since they're the winners?"
All Might bent his back down a bit. "Hmmm! Valid question!" He raised his hand, index finger pointed upwards. "Why didn't I choose one of those two?" All might quickly changed positions, straightening himself and rocketing his hand into the air as his cape swished behind him. "Who has a guess?!"
"And here's where Yaoyorozu knocks it out of the park," Kaminari sigh-laughed.
"She really did," All Might mumbled, slightly embarrassed.
Yaoyorozu blushed, happy about the semi-compliment.
Yaoyorozu, eyes closed and face serious, raised her hand. "Sir! I can tell you why." Without waiting for him to answer, she continued, hand still raised and causing the other students to glance over. "Iida embraced this challenge. He was the only one who truly adapted to his assigned role. I'll explain."
All Might was shown before the screen began to zoom into Bakugou's face, showing his darkened eyes and slightly bowed head. "Bakugou's judgement was clouded by a personal grudge against Midoriya." Imagery from the fight was shown, with Bakugou grinning wildly as he pulled the clip from his glove. As she spoke, the explosion lit off and traveled through the building. "As you pointed out earlier, launching a large-scale attack indoors was a foolish move. It could've been disastrous."
Although it was nearly unnoticeable, Bakugou slightly flinched and lowered his head at her comments.
Midoriya, having heard what Bakugou said first hand, noticed and felt sympathetic for the blonde. However, he knew that Bakugou wouldn't want any pity, so remained silent anyways.
"Don't worry about it, Bakubro," Kirishima grinned, causing both boys to look slightly surprised, "We know you can get a little carried away, but you're at least a little better now."
Although Bakugou wasn't sure if the last part was a compliment or an insult, he nodded.
"Similarly," she continued, Midoriya's impromptu air-tunnel attack being shown, "Midoriya's plan was also poorly thought out." His body was shown on the stretcher, body riddled with bruises and costume ripped in several places. "Considering the amount of damage he received. He rendered himself helpless - not smart."
Midoriya laughed nervously. "Guilty."
"Yes - it may have been an impressive display of power, but it wasn't wise considering the circumstances," Nezu commented, causing the freckled boy to nod along.
Uraraka was shown, expression nervous as she fidgeted with her hands, making a nervous sound to match her face. "As for Uraraka, she let her guard down mid-battle." Her outburst of laughter was shown, and then her sudden baseball-esque rock shower attack. "And her final attack was far too reckless given the hypothetical stakes."
The camera showed Yaoyorozu as the students behind stared at her. "If she'd treated the fake weapon as though it were real, she never would've risked using such an imprecise move."
Uraraka rubbed the back of her necks. "Haha, whoops. I guess I wasn't really thinking about it too hard."
"It's still impressive that you could make do with what you had," Thirteen commented, smiling. "So don't be too hard on yourself."
Uraraka nodded, a smile on her face as well. "Thank you!"
She raised her head, looking at Iida, who was practically shaking with a surprised expression. "Iida was fully prepared for his opponents' arrival. He had a strategy and never lost sight of his mission to protect the dummy weapon. Even if he was foiled in the end."
As she spoke, Iida became more antsy before finally smiling and blushing as he looked upwards, hand placed on his chest with a bright background behind him. He made a strange noise of happiness, clenching his hand.
"Technically, the hero team won, yes. But they took advantage of the fact that this was training." She lowered her head slightly, closing her eyes once again. "They didn't respect the spirit of the trial," she finished.
"Yeah, good job, Class Pres!" Kirishima grinned.
Mina couldn't resist giggling. "I especially loved the impressions."
Iida took both of their comments in stride. "Why thank you!"
"Unfazeable jerk," Monoma mumbled, causing Kendo to shoot him the stink eye.
The room was silent for a moment, with All Might making a surprised and awkward noise while he shook, a sweat drop on his cheek. This girl really has a good eye on her...
"Thank you, sir," Yaoyorozu said, smiling.
"Well you definitely deserve the praise," Midnight commented, All Might nodding along.
"yES," All Might said awkwardly, raising his finger as he turned slightly towards the side. "Well... You overlooked a few things." He raised his hands, glancing at one. "Young Iida could've relaxed a little bit in the exercise." Yaoyorozu looked towards him, and All Might placed his fists against his hips. "But!" he gave her a thumbs up, "Otherwise you nailed it!" He awkwardly laughed after finishing.
"You liar," Aizawa rolled his eyes.
All Might laughed nervously before his laughter was reduced to coughs.
The camera panned upwards, showing Yaoyorozu. "One should always start with the basics and devote themselves wholeheartedly to learning," she said, the full message of which was written on a poster behind her, a large bird placed in the middle. Her hands were on her hips, and expression relatively serious. "That's the only way to become a top hero."
"How dedicated!" Midnight blushed.
"You really need to stop," Aizawa deadpanned.
Midnight grumbled and crossed her arms, not speaking due to the evil eye Aizawa was giving her.
The screen zoomed into her face, becoming colorful as Present Mic voiced over the image. "Momo Yaoyorozu!" The students behind her stared at her, expressions shocked, but she didn't seem fazed. "One of the four students admitted to the hero course based on recommendations."
"It's so weird hearing my voice for something I've never even said," Present Mic shook his head.
"I can agree," Midoriya nodded, smiling sheepishly.
"Maybe we should get that Present Mic to be a teacher. He certainly doesn't talk as much," Aizawa said, expression unchanged.
"Wh- Hey!" Present Mic yelled, but it had no effect on Aizawa who was already used to it.
"Now then!" All Might said, raising his finger as he stood in front of the 'VILLAIN' and 'HERO' boxes once again. "Time to blow this joint! Let's move onto the next match...! Think about everything we saw and discuss as you tackle this training for yourself."
The camera panned over Bakugou's face, his eyes overshadowed and without much emotion. Opposing this was the loud, "Yes sir!" from the rest of the class.
Moving to the next scene, the camera panned towards 'Battle Building B.' "Match Two!" All Might introduced. On the sidewalk stood Todoroki and Shoji. "Team B will be our heroes. And Team I," he said, showing Ojiro stretching in front of the fake bomb with Hagakure out of the frame, "Will be the villains."
Ojiro sighed. "Great."
Thirteen looked over confusedly. "What's wrong?"
Hagakure's shoulders were lower than normal, showing that she was in somewhat of a bad mood as well. "They totally got us," she sighed as well.
"It couldn't have been that bad," Cementoss said.
Ojiro shook his head. "We didn't even have a chance." Some of the teachers then shrugged before turning towards the screen.
"Hey!" Hagakure said, glove coming into view. "Ojiro."
Ojiro turned towards her, pausing his stretches. "Huh?"
Hagakure blew outwards, slipping off her gloves. "Let's get serious. I'm gonna take off all my clothes and totally disappear!"
"Yeah, cool," Ojiro nodded, smiling nervously. He turned towards the side, scratching his jaw. Hagakure's using her quirk to our advantage. But it's kind of weird to know there's a naked girl standing beside me... What exactly am I supposed to do here?
"I wish I-"
Before Mineta could continue, he was out cold, and everyone pretended they hadn't seen a thing.
"Uh...," Hagakure said embarrassedly, "Just don't look, okay?"
Ojiro turned towards her floating gloves and shoes. "...What's the difference?"
"There's a big difference, alright!" Hagakure yelled, blushing even though no one could see.
"Okay, okay! I'm sorry," Ojiro apologized awkwardly, but Hagakure was still too embarrassed to look at him.
"Look alive, kids!" All Might yelled dramatically, pen and clipboard in hand as his cape flew behind him, complemented by an equally over dramatic action background. "Show us the embodiment of good! ...Or evil. Let's go!"
Aizawa squinted. "Why are your shots always so dramatic and colorful? There's nothing special about holding a clipboard."
All Might laughed, grinning as well. "Excitement, my dear friend! It hooks people in!"
Aizawa didn't even bother trying with him anymore, and although Nighteye kept a stoic face he was a bit embarrassed by All Might's use of drama in places where it didn't need to be. At the same time, though, he couldn't help but be a bit excited.
The buzzer sounded, signalling that the time had started.
Immediately, Shoji jumped into action, using his limbs to create ears to listen for the villain team.
"Mezo Shoji!" Present Mic introduced him, "Quirk: Dupli-Arms! He can replicate body parts on the tips of his tentacles. Well that's super straaange."
Shoji looked confused. "It's not that weird..."
"Mic!" Midnight scolded.
"Whaat?!" he yelled, exasperated. "It's not even the real me!"
"But it totally sounds like something you'd do," Aizawa mentioned casually, earning a mean stare from a butthurt Present Mic. Aizawa, however, paid him no attention.
Shoji continued using his dupli-arms to search for the enemy team as Todoroki walked up behind him. Once finished, he transformed an ear into a mouth, beginning to speak, Todoroki stopping to listen. "One's in the hall on the north side of the fourth floor. And I think the other's on the same level somewhere. Both are barefoot." Another mouth came down, continuing. "I bet the invisible one plans to sneak up and surprise us."
"How can you hear if someone is barefoot?" Midoriya asked curiously.
"It's a slightly different sound," Shoji answered. "Like, it's slightly lighter and more careful since you risk getting injured when barefoot."
Midoriya practically had stars in his eyes. "That's so cool..."
Kaminari noticed Jiro staring at the two and he began to grin. "Hey now, don't get jealous he didn't ask you."
Jiro spun towards him. "I'm not!"
"Mkaaay," he said, laughing to himself. "But you know jealousy doesn't suit you well, Jiro."
"You - agh! Just shut up," she grumbled.
Todoroki began walking forwards once again. "For your own safety, go outside." Shoji turned towards him, confused. He then looked forwards, letting out a slight sigh.
"I'm sure our opponents intend to fight a defensive battle," Todoroki said, raising his hand as frost sparked from his palm. He then placed his hand against the wall, with the ice branching outwards from both his fingertips and his foot. "But we've already won," he said, the frost speeding up and traveling through the halls at incredible speed.
"He used to be so different," Hagakure commented.
Mina nodded. "Like an Icy Prince." She glanced over. "Now he's like... A weird icy prince."
Todoroki didn't seem to mind their comments, but was also incredibly confused as he most certainly wasn't a prince. (i'm sorry i keep pushing this derpy todoroki thing, it just makes me laugh xD)
Once Shoji stepped outside and looked behind him, the entire building was enveloped in ice. As he stared, he let out a slight gasp.
"Ow, ow, ow!" Hagakure exclaimed painfully, only her footprints visible in the ice. "My feet are stuck!"
"Sorry about that," Todoroki apologized.
Hagakure laughed. "It's fine. It's not like it still hurts."
Ojiro let out a slightly panicked and annoyed breath, attempting to move but to no avail. "This quirk is insane..."
He raised his head as the sound of ice crunching and shattering came near, and he readied his fists. After a few moments, Todoroki walked in, eye glowing red. He walked forwards and Ojiro's tail went up defensively, hands raised.
"Pry yourself up if you want," Todoroki said, smiling smugly as frosty breath escaped his lips. "But it might be hard to fight me with no skin on the bottom of your feet."
Several people in the theater instinctively winced.
"A smart play," Nezu smiled, sipping his tea.
Ojiro gritted his teeth as Todoroki walked past.
All Might shivered, wrapping his arms around himself as he commented. "He i-incompacitated them without compromising the weapon or his teammates," he said, students shivering behind him in a group. "T-take close notes of his technique, students."
All Might shivered. "I can still remember the cold."
Sero groaned, remembering the Sport's Festival. "It only got worse after that."
"So cool!" Nejire grinned before smirking. "Pun intended."
"End me now," Tamaki sighed.
"Woah..., he's so strong," Kirishima said, with several other nods of approval going around the room. However, Bakugou simply stared, expression terrified and pained.
"Even Bakubro was surprised," Kirishima commented, somewhat surprised himself.
Bakugou turned his head slightly up. "I already swore I'd never lose to Icy Hot. I'm gonna be the Number One Hero - not him or that loser Deku."
For once, Todoroki actually showed a bit of emotion, narrowing his eyes at the fiery blonde as he remembered his own dream. "Don't count on it," he said coldly, yet somehow the warmth from his hopes came through as well. And, after he spoke, several pairs of eyes were on him, as well as Bakugou's angered ones.
"I'm not planning on losing either," Midoriya finally said after the other two proclaimed their intentions.
"Why do you guys have to sound cool while saying that?!" Kaminari groaned. "You're making the rest of us look bad."
"It's not my fault that they're better competition," Bakugou said before adding, "Not that they're too much for me to handle."
Todoroki easily placed his hand against the weapon, prompting All Might's message. "The hero team... Wiiiins!"
Ojiro glanced down, clenching his fist in disappointment.
Todoroki then began releasing heat from his hands, causing steam to rise from the ice.
Ojiro looked around, surprised, as it melted. Turning, he looked at Todoroki, a surprised expression on his face. "Heat too...?"
"And now," Ojiro sighed yet smiled, "He's got fire as well."
And from Todoroki's display, the teachers now saw why Ojiro and Hagakure felt the way they did about the match.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow!" Hagakure said, jumping up and down in the leftover water.
Todoroki kept his hand on the bomb, back towards Ojiro. "It's not your fault." He turned, expression unchanged. "We're just playing on different levels."
"Ice cold," Mina commented simply.
Only Jiro noticed the sheer amount of puns that were accidentally being made, as well as the possible opportunities. She often shot nervous glances towards Kaminari as if he might explode into a pun bomb, but somehow he didn't.
The screen then zoomed towards Todoroki, with Present Mic's narration beginning.
"Shoto Todoroki," he emphasized, "Another of the four of the hero course admitted based on recommendations. Quirk," he continued as Todoroki walked out of the building towards a surprised Shoji, "Half cold, half hot. He freezes with his right side and burns up the charts with his left!" Shoji turned his head towards Todoroki, yet the boy continued walking. "The range of his abilities is unknown."
"Uh - holy (hecc)!" Sato exclaimed nervously.
Kaminari pulled back, a nervous expression on his face. "That guy's kind of intimidating."
"He got in on a recommendation so he must be good," Tsuyu commented, with others in the background shifting with surprised and worried expressions on their faces.
"It's not that impressive," Todoroki mentioned. "It's still physical - it's not like I'm invulnerable."
Kaminari sighed. "I don't think you realize how amazing your power is, though."
Midoriya was suddenly reminded of the Sport's Festival and noticed Todoroki's lack of reply, feeling bad for what they might see in the future.
"Moving on!" All Might said as the camera turned towards Bakugo, "Time to gather 'round for a review of the second match!" Bakugo's mouth twitched, eyes overshadowed. "After that, we'll jet on over to our next battle!"
"Yes sir!" the class replied in unison. Bakugo, however, bit his lip and clenched his teeth, letting out a sound of frustration as he lowered his head.
"What's up with you, man?" Kaminari asked.
The blonde, however, simply turned away. "You'll probably see later," he replied gruffly.
Midoriya couldn't help but feel guilty. He was now realizing just how many peoples' pasts and feelings he was revealing. When he had agreed, he only thought his memories and emotions would be shown. Clearly, though, he squirmed in his seat, that wasn't the case.
From there, the rounds were shown quickly, starting at Battle Building C. First, Sero, with a grin, covered the area around the bomb in tape for protection, while Kirishima smiled as he hardened his hands and fingers.
Tokoyami then walked through a darkened hallway, releasing Dark Shadow as Tsuyu crawled up the wall.
In a different match, Yaoyorozu barricaded the door that led to the bomb with large beams made of metal, with Mineta giving a creepy thumbs up and blush as she worked.
Yaoyorozu, noticing the perv, turned, hands on her hips.
"Uhhh!" Mineta let out, scared by her darkened eyes.
"Dude," Kaminari sighed, "Can't you go just one minute without doing that?"
Mineta (who had woken up long before) looked offended. "Doing what?! Checking out girls?! It's natural! Don't act like you don't do it too! You're just as guilty as me!"
"Nobody's as obsessed as you, perv," Hagakure said, sparking several nods of agreement.
(If you're wondering, no, I don't hate Mineta. I do find him super annoying though ayyyyy;
tbh he's supposed to be 'comedy relief' but what he does isn't funny at all?? Also to people who are like "you'd like him if he was hOT" - that's not really true. I dislike him because his only personality trait is "pervert," whereas other anime pervs [let's say Kaminari and Meliodas from Seven Deadly Sins xD] at least have further personality and cool moments besides that. thanks for coming to my ted talk and please don't hate on me for this if you like Mineta B))
On the bottom floor, Jiro plugged her earphone jack into the wall, closing her eyes as she listened in. After a moment, she turned towards Kaminari, pointing up at the ceiling and causing the electric-quirk user to look up. Grinning, Kaminari then stepped forwards, sparks shooting from his hands before the next match was shown.
Sato pressed his gloved hands against his face before letting out some sort of battle cry and posing for battle in front of the bomb, a terrified Koda standing behind him.
"Poor Koda," Sero laughed.
"Oh uh," Sato rubbed the back of his neck, "Sorry man."
Koda shook his head back and forth, smiling awkwardly and showing that he didn't mind.
As for the hero team, Aoyama gracefully walked through the ground floor, sparkling with his hands turned upwards and arms to his sides.
Then, unfortunately for him, Mina came sliding through with her acid, leaping into the air with a grin on her face. "Surf's up!" she cheerfully exclaimed.
Due to her movement, two drops of acid flew into the air, landing on Aoyama's cape before quickly dissolving the fabric. The boy made a surprised sound and became disheartened as the girl giggled.
After an internal yelp from Aoyama, Mina turned around, noticing what she had done. "Oops!" she laughed nervously, clapping her hands together. "My bad!"
Aoyama stared down at the floor, still a bit upset over the event. He, however, didn't remain in that state for long as he needed to sparkle for the readers and whatnot.
Monoma grinned. "Haha! Your matches weren't shown! How the mighty 1A has fallen!"
"Dude," Kaminari furrowed his brows, "Yours weren't even shown at all."
Monoma brushed the comment off. "Well, ours were far more interesting!"
"I hate to admit it," Tetsutetsu spoke up, "But compared to the first two, they were kinda boring."
"Hey! Whose side are you on?!" Monoma hissed.
Kendo rolled her eyes. "Nobody is on any side. You're just being an idiot."
"Wh-"
"Actually," Kaminari interrupted him, "How come our battles weren't shown? It didn't even say who won!" he sighed.
"I admit," Kirishima laughed, nodding, "It is a bit disappointing."
"Sorry guys, I don't control these things," I shrugged.
"Eh, it's fine," Mina smiled. "It's not like ours were all that interesting compared to the other two matches."
Inside the observation room, the students watched on, as well as All Might who grinned as he faced the screen.
Eventually, though, the scene was set to a cloudy sky before the camera panned down, the students lined up outside as a whistle was blown.
"That's a wrap!" All Might shouted, bending forwards slightly with his hand placed to the side of his face. The man then straightened himself, putting his hands on his hips as he faced the group of students. "Super work! You really stepped up to the plate - and we didn't have any major injuries except for Midoriya. You should be proud!" He stuck his thumb up before the crowd. "Excellent first day of training all around!"
"There shouldn't have been any major injuries at all!" Recovery Girl scolded. "It was just a training match!"
"But you're here to heal them!" All Might mistakenly protested.
Aizawa pinched the bridge of his nose. "Great," he said as Nezu smiled and sipped his tea.
"Here for..." Recovery Girl let out an annoyed breath. "I'm expecting some scratches and bruises - not practically shattered bones and burns spanning the length of someone's arm!"
And although she probably could've tore him down, she stopped for the sake of the fact that I don't feel like writing that B) (im sorry xD).
After All Might put his arm back down, Tsuyu raised her hand and began speaking. "It's nice to hear some encouraging words after our homeroom class." An image of Aizawa running his fingers through his hair with a creepy smile appeared on screen. Tsuyu scratched her head awkwardly, the entire class nodding their heads somewhat solemnly. "Mr. Aizawa was kind of a buzzkill."
"Think of me however you will - I'm just preparing you for the real world," Aizawa said.
"Dang, you are a buzzkill," Present Mic sighed, causing Aizawa's eye to twitch.
All Might, without warning, grinned and shot his hands to the side as his cape flew behind him. "I'm happy to bring such staggering positivity to my alma mater!" As the U.A. logo in the background faded, All Might posed before raising his hand. "That's all for now, folks! I should go and check on Young Midoriya's progress! Now, watch how a pro exits!" The man put himself in a running position, dust trailing behind him as he sped off. "Like he's got somewhere to be!" he yelled, voice becoming quieter the further he got down the tunnel.
The students stared in awe at the man's speed and powerful wind that trailed him, letting out a collective gasp.
"Okay you guys," Kaminari grinned, squatting down slightly, "That is a hero!"
"Aw," Ojiro said somewhat disappointedly, "I'll never be able to run that fast..."
Mineta put his hand over his mouth. "Super awesome...!"
"You all realize that being a hero isn't about being flashy, correct?" Aizawa asked sharply, sending shivers down the spines of 1A's students.
"I mean, sure, but it's so much cooler," Kaminari protested.
"It is," Present Mic nodded, yelping after Aizawa smacked the back of his head. Rubbing his neck, he sighed. "I mean, Eraserhead's right. Other quirks can be helpful in different situations, too."
Nezu smiled. "Strength isn't everything, students. Keep that in mind."
"Yeeesss siiir," the classes replied collectively, all the while groaning.
As All Might's steps sounded through the tunnel, the man looked back, noticing Bakugou who was standing still, head slightly bowed and eyes overshadowed. Young Bakugou really is overflowing with pride...
Bakugou was singled out from the crowd, his image glowing as the rest of the glass greyed. His ego may be justified, but a school like U.A. is bound to shatter it.
Aoyama looked personally offended by the fact that he was greyed out. "How can someone so amazing be outshone?! This must be wrong."
"It's just effects," I replied awkwardly, but Aoyama still looked slightly annoyed.
Bakugou, similarly, looked a bit ticked off, but he didn't voice anything (and not just because writing bakugou is hard psssssh - thatd be dumb! Haha... hah... ha).
All Might turned forwards, eyebrows slightly pointed downwards even with a smile on his face. As his teacher, it's my sworn duty to council him well.
He put his fist in front of his mouth and steam began to drift off from his body, his face and inner voice becoming strained. "But it'll have to wait..." He coughed, seeing the Staff Only exit.
"Ah... I forgot about that...," Kaminari said, wincing.
"Poor All Might," Tsuyu commented, finger placed on her chin, "He had to deal with that every day while hiding it."
"I appreciate your concern, students, but it's alright. It's not as if it's your fault," he smiled, causing both Nighteye and Midoriya to freak out a bit on the inside.
As soon as the door opened before him, he slammed his hand down on the button and entered, the door quickly closing behind him. He began panting, face twisted. I can't hold this form any longer...!
All Might erupted into a cloud of smoke behind the closed door, coughing as it dissipated. After the smoke was gone, a skeletal version of the man stood in the hero's place, clothes unfit for his body.
"It's insane how you change so much when you shrink down," Kaminari commented.
"Come to think of it," Yaoyorozu asked, "Why do you have two forms in the first place? Is it your original quirk?"
After a moment of awkward silence - basically a staring contest between All Might and the rest of the theater - I jumped in, pressing play. "...Aaaaand let's get a move on!"
The camera zoomed into All Might's face as he panted, sweat dripping down his forehead. I barely have enough time to teach a class... He coughed, (swearwordoof).
After a quick transition, the setting changed to outside the nurse's office, where Recovery Girl's voice could be heard from inside.
"Oh boy," Present Mic said before anything even happened. And most would have to agree with his simple words, as no one wished to be on the wrong side of Recovery Girl's anger.
"The second day of school and he's already a regular patient!" she said annoyedly.
All Might, still in his skinny form, stood inside the office, finger on his chin as he coughed.
Recovery Girl was turned around in her chair, looking angrily at the man while Midoriya laid in a nearby bed, curtain drawn so he was visible. "Why didn't you stop him, All Might?!"
"You're right, Recovery Girl," All Might nodded. "I'm sorry."
"Well it's no good apologizing to me!" she scolded before turning her chair slightly towards Midoriya. "He's too exhausted from his classes for my quirk!" The camera showed the boy's scratched, unconscious body, his arm in a cast across his chest while the other had an IV inserted. "I can't treat all his injuries at once. I did some first aid, but after the IV is finished, we'll have to wait for his body to heal overnight."
"So that's why you weren't fully healed," Uraraka said as the realization dawned on her.
Midoriya laughed nervously. "Yeah. It didn't feel great when I woke up, but at least Recovery Girl's quirk helped a whole lot."
"Darn right," she sighed. "You've really got to stop getting yourself in situations like that. Don't continue to make it a habit."
Midoriya turned, bowing slightly. "U-uh... Yes, ma'am!"
Present Mic narrowed his eyes, shaking his head slowly. "No one's immune to granny..."
A few people stared at him strangely after that, but they couldn't really argue. And, although some expected Monoma to make a remark, the blonde refrained, as he wasn't stupid.
Recovery Girl's eyebrows were pointed down, voice and expression still somewhat angry. As she turned around towards her computer, she continued scolding All Might. "Come on, All Might. I know you passed your powers onto this boy, but you can't spoil him!"
All Might placed his hand on his cheek, looking slightly downwards. "I am trying not to play favorites. I wanted to consider his feelings, though." He continued moving his hand up and down, still avoiding eye contact. "He needed to see that he was capable of winning the exercise."
Aizawa blinked at All Might. "You're trying not to play favorites?" He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "God, I need some coffee."
"What?" All Might said confusedly.
"Sorry All Might," Present Mic sighed, "I respect you and all - we all do - but you suck at not playing favorites."
All Might looked over the crowd. "It's not that bad - is it?"
Nobody really needed to say anything else for the point to get across.
"If it makes you feel any better," Mina piped up, "You've been a lot better lately."
"Yeah," Kaminari agreed, "I haven't seen you pick people out so much lately."
"Well," All Might sighed, "At least there's that."
Without much of a pause, he continued. "Oh yeah - also..." He raised his head, voice becoming more annoyed as he put his finger in front of his mouth. "Could you please not talk so loudly about One For All when anybody around you could hear?!"
Kaminari nodded. "Fair, fair."
Recovery Girl turned around in her chair, facing the computer as she put her head up. "Yeah, yeah, I know," she said with a bit of sass, "Mr. 'Natural Born Hero.' Mr. 'Symbol of Peace!'"
All Might sighed, straightening himself and placing his hand over his chest. "Several people know about my injury and this weak form, like the U.A. faculty and a certain group of pro heroes for example. However," he continued, a galaxy-like background appearing behind him, "Only a select few people know about One For All. That's you, the principal, and a close friend of mine," he said, each person appearing in the background as he said their name. "Young Midoriya too, of course, but no one else knows the truth about my powers."
"Aaaand everyone in the theater," Kaminari pointed out.
"Well I suppose now that's true," All Might chuckled.
Midoriya laughed nervously. "Hehhh...."
Recovery Girl sat in her chair silently for a moment before speaking, voice holding a touch of sadness. "You're the Number One Hero in the world, All Might. Does it really matter if you were born with your quirk or not?
All Might looked straight forwards even though Recovery Girl was facing the opposite direction. "If they knew I wasn't, the temptation of this power could corrupt our society." He glanced down at his open hand. "This quirk... Those who wield it are responsible for mankind's safety."
"Ah, I see," Yaoyorozu nodded, "You kept it a secret from everyone in the likely case that people would do anything to get such a quirk. Society really could delve into chaos, even if they couldn't take the power by force."
Nezu gave a slight laugh. "I imagine there's a bit of unrealistic thinking on that end. However, I do agree that it's safest to keep your quirk secret. I mean, from here on out, that is."
All Might nodded along, as it was often best to do with Nezu.
Recovery Girl let out a sigh, and her expression softened as a small smile appeared on her face. She then tightened her features a bit, giving advice to All Might. "Well, if that's the case," she said, Midoriya's body being shown once again, "It's even more important for you to be a good guide."
"You're right..." All Might agreed after a moment.
"Finally realizing that," Nighteye mumbled under his breath. "At least you've got that much."
As the camera settled on Midoriya's face, the memory of him receiving One For All played.
"Young Man," All Might had said, "You too can become a hero."
The scene then changed to when All Might held the power of One For All in his palm, a glowing mass of rainbows emanating throughout the screen. "Listen well, Young Man! This is your choice."
Midoriya looked on with sparkling eyes. "One... For... All..."
The boy was then reminded of his first experience using this power, in which he flew through the air, teeth gritted as he hurtled towards the giant robot.
"SMAAAASH!" he shouted, fist slamming into the robot's 'face.'
"Welcome, Young Midoriya..." All Might had said when Midoriya was receiving his acceptance letter, hand reaching out towards the screen. "You're now going to be a part... of the hero academia!"
Midoriya's eyes watered, biting his lip with the pain of breaking his finger after Aizawa's test. I've still got a whole lot to learn... If I'm gonna achieve my dream...
The boy stood, now in his hero costume during the match against Bakugou. "You can call me Deku," he said, eyes determined and body ready for battle, "But I'm not the same helpless kid anymore! I've changed! You hear me?!"
Midoriya's face was shown closer, determined even though he shook. "From now on, Deku is the name of a hero!"
"Those were some manly flashbacks!" Kirishima grinned.
"We're doing the whole manly thing again?" Monoma groaned. "Please don't..."
Tetsutetsu ignored the blonde's plea. "Amazingly manly!"
Monoma's face fell in his hands. "God, why?"
His words echoed in his mind as Midoriya awoke in his bed, eyes tiredly focusing. His eyes trailed down the IV to where it connected to him, with nothing but the drips as background sound.
Midoriya closed his eyes for a moment, shifting before opening his eyes once again and staring up at the clock. It's... Late afternoon...?
"Rise and shine, sonny!" Recovery Girl suddenly said, peering over his bed. Midoriya then reacted with surprise before the scene cut once more, with Izuku walking through the hallway, a sling holding his arm in front of his stomach.
"That's all for today's treatment!" Recovery Girl had said, voice somewhat cheery. "Come back tomorrow, okay?"
Midoriya tiredly sighed, continuing to walk. I missed all my afternoon classes... He turned towards the window with an expression of inconvenience and worry due to his tiredness. Mr. Aizawa's probably gonna choke me with his scarf...
"Dude," Kaminari shook his head, "How is class the first thing in your mind after you wake up with an arm in a sling?"
Midoriya smiled sheepishly and Iida spoke up in his place. "U.A. is a prestigious academy! It's good to be focused and prepared to learn at all times! Though," he mentioned, hand on his chin, "I doubt Aizawa Sensei would choke you for being late..."
"You never know," Present Mic shrugged.
"Oh, shut up," Aizawa sighed. "No, I wouldn't choke you, Midoriya. You can calm down a little. It's not like you didn't have an excuse."
Midoriya nodded, smiling. "Thank you, Mr. Aizawa."
Once he was in front of 1A's door, he slowly slid it open before awkwardly standing in the doorway.
Almost immediately, he was noticed by Kirishima who glanced over with a grin. "Heyyy, it's Midoriya!" Midoriya looked somewhat surprised as people began to come near. "Good to see you back, super!"
Midoriya let out a slight gasp as people crowded around him and spoke happily.
"Oh, hey," Kirishima turned towards Midoriya, "Sorry if I scared ya, man."
Midoriya shook his head, smiling. "No, no, it's alright. I was just surprised that so many people came over, that's all."
"Hah!" Kirishima moved forwards, startling the green-haired boy, "Man, I don't know what you were saying during that match, but you were all fired up, huh?!" The redhead grinned, flexing his arm as Mina excitedly stood by.
"I can't believe you held your own against Bakugou," Sero laughed, "He's super strong!"
"You did a great job dodging!" Mina said excitedly, pumping her arms up and down with a wide grin on her face.
"And I still agree," Mina said a matter-of-factly.
"Yeah," Sero nodded, "It was pretty awesome. The rest of you guys, too," he said, gesturing to Iida, Bakugou, and Uraraka.
"Why thank you," Iida bowed.
Similarly, Uraraka smiled. "Thanks. But it was really Deku who thought everything up." She turned towards him, punching him playfully in the arm. "He's the only reason we won."
Midoriya blushed, shaking his head and waving his arms in front of himself. "No way! If you didn't do that super cool move, we would've lost!"
The two continued chatting for a bit while Bakugou sat, leaning against his chair as he sighed.
Kirishima seemed to notice, though, and gave him a similar playful punch. "You heard Sero - you were cool too, man. Don't feel so down," he grinned.
Bakugou simply glanced at the redhead before turning back towards the screen. It was clear that he was in a better mood, but he kept on his normal expression. "Tch. Whatever."
Sato, also in the group, smiled as well. "You guys really turned up in the first match, so none of us held back in our rounds, either!"
As Sero nodded, Aoyama poked his head in, hands on his cheeks. "You were far from elegant, but I-"
Mina jumped up and down, interrupting the blonde and covering him from view. "And the dodging was like - woo!"
"Oh," Mina laughed, rubbing the back of her neck, "Sorry Aoyama. I guess I got a little excited.
"I suppose it's alright, mon amie," he winked. "One can't steal the spotlight for too long! After all, sharing can be elegant~"
Midoriya looked around at his classmates, blushing in surprise.
"Heyyy," Kirishima grinned, bending forwards and pointing his thumb at himself. "I'm Eijiro Kirishima!" He then straightened himself and gestured towards Sero, with Mina still moving excitedly in the background. "We've been going over training results while you were in recovery."
"Hi!" Sero grinned, "I'm Hanta Sero."
"More importantly," Aoyama said, sitting at his desk, "I'm Yuga Ao-"
Interrupting him once more, Mina flailed her arms about, blushing and grinning. "I'm Mina Ashido!" She pumped her arms again, eyes wide with excitement. "I've just gotta say - your dodging was awesome!!"
Mina laughed nervously again. "Hehhh... Oops."
Aoyama, however, seemed to have forgotten the whole incident and was wrapped up in fixing himself up in a pocket mirror.
"Thanks for introducing yourself and everything, guys," Midoriya scratched his chin nervously yet happily, "It meant a lot, especially considering my old school."
"Awh, no problem, Midoriya!" Mina grinned.
Kirishima offered a smile. "Yeah, man! You're a cool dude. Don't thank us - we didn't do anything special."
"Still," Midoriya laughed, "Thanks."
Tsuyu poked her head from the side, catching Mina's attention. "Tsuyu Asui. But please - call me Tsu."
"Hey," Sato bent down, giving a thumbs up. "Sato."
Midoriya nervously looked around, still blushing awkwardly. "Uhm... Hey guys...!"
Suddenly, Mineta jumped up from the ground, posing in the air and drawing the attention of his classmates as he kicked. "My name's Mineta!"
"Where the heck did you pop out of?" Kirishima asked, looking down at Mineta.
Aoyama shook his head back and forth, sparkles showing above his head. "1A's shiniest star here - Yuga Aoyama!"
"You might sparkle, but you sucked it up in training," Sato commented, glancing towards the blonde.
Aoyama squirmed slightly at the last comment, but it went by unnoticed as the rest of the class chatted about various things.
"Really, though, where did you come out from?" Kirishima asked Mineta.
"What do you mean?" he said, "I was just behind you guys and jumped up."
Kirishima looked a bit surprised. "Really? I didn't even see you."
"Well, no one can shine as bright as-"
Mina gave a slight laugh, accidentally interrupting Aoyama once again. "Man, it's funny how Midoriya still has trouble calling Tsuyu by her nickname."
"Really, Midoriya," Tsuyu agreed, "It's not that hard. Just call me Tsu."
Midoriya laughed awkwardly. "Sorry, As-Tsu. I'm just not used to it."
"So noisy," Tokoyami sighed, sitting on the desk.
Iida sped-walked over to the shadow-quirked boy, hands moving quickly" Tokoyami!" he said, gaze determined before stopping in front of his desk and wildly hand chopping, "Stop using that desk as a chair! Get off of it this instant!"
Tokoyami, along with Ojiro and Jiro who stood nearby, looked at him oddly.
"Dude, you need to chill," Jiro said, causing Iida to freeze with his jaw lowered.
"You're carrying a lot of tension," Ojiro pointed out with a sweat drop.
"And yet the Class Pres. still does things like that," Kaminari sighed, shaking my head.
Iida turned. "I won't apologize for respecting the school and those who attended before us!"
"Nah, you can loosen up," Present Mic commented. "I used to do that all the time. Even Shou just slept half the time."
Iida looked a bit dejected, but still kept a sort of pristineness about him. Honestly, nothing would completely take that from him.
Iida's shoulders hunched as he looked dejected. "No one understands..." He then perked up, attempting to be serious as he continued his hand chopping. "I cannot condone actions that disrespect these desks! Not when great men and women - our upperclassmen - used them!"
"And there we are," Kaminari said, chuckling.
"Also noisy...," Tokoyami commented.
The group in the front stared at the exchange, awkward smiles and confused looks on their faces.
Midoriya smiled awkwardly. Iida never relaxes, does he?
"Wh - I do so relax!" Iida exclaimed.
"I know that now, Iida," Midoriya smiled sheepishly. "Sorry for the judgement."
"Well, as long as you know," Iida said, turning away and unintentionally earning himself a few laughs.
Kaminari pushed the room's other door open, several books (11 if you're wondering xD) in hand. "So, I was wondering," he stepped inside with a smile, Uraraka following behind as he gestured with his thumb, (here it changes to 13 books; illuminati?!) "Wanna grab a bite sometime? What kinda stuff you like?"
Uraraka looked upwards, tilting her head with about 8 books held in her hands. "Anything sweet..." After turning slightly, she noticed Midoriya, a smile appearing on her face while Kaminari looked dejected. "Hey, Deku!"
"Completely rejected," Kaminari sighed.
Uraraka looked confused. "What do you mean?"
Kaminari blinked before burying his head in his hands. "Completely and utterly rejected."
Jiro rolled her eyes. "Just knock it off, lover boy. This happened months ago."
"Yeah, but it's happening again right in front of me!" he said, exasperated.
Jiro blinked before turning towards the screen. "Whatever."
Kaminari continued to sulk, even more so with Jiro's comments and her ignoring him. "Girls have no heaaaaarts!"
Mineta shivered, remembering his internship with Mount Lady. "Demons..."
Stopping in front of the boy who was now turned towards her, she looked concerned. "Why didn't she heal your injuries?!"
"Oh!" Midoriya smiled, eyes closed. "Well it has to do with how much stamina I'm using." He laughed nervously, looking around the room.
"Stamina?" Uraraka asked confusedly. However, Midoriya had already turned his attention towards Bakugou's empty desk, a surprised look on his face.
Uraraka gave a slight laugh. "Guess I know what you meant now."
"Yes - my quirk trades stamina for healing," Recovery Girl reminded no one in particular.
"Uhm... Uraraka," Midoriya asked worriedly, "Where's Kacchan...?"
The scene changed to show Midoriya running down the hall before turning on the stairs, Uraraka's voice in the background. "We tried to stop him from leaving...," she said as Midoriya ran down the stairs, "But he wouldn't listen...! You just missed him..."
Midoriya continued running down the hall, teeth clenched as he breathed heavily.
Bakugou looked up at the screen, slight surprise passing over his features. However, the expression was gone as soon as it came.
"DA(ng) IT!" Bakugou's voice played in Midoriya's mind as he ran, the boy tilting his head slightly downwards. "You were tricking me for years by acting weak! And you've been laughing behind my back, huh?!"
"So where's that flashy power of yours now?!" Bakugou's voice echoed, Midoriya now nearly outside.
And, once finally at the entrance (or exit, depending on how you look at it) to U.A., Midoriya stopped in his tracks, panting. After noticing Bakugou leaving the school, though, he yelled out "Kacchan!" and ran after the blonde.
After Bakugou didn't bother to turn, Midoriya ran closer, yelling, "Wait up!"
"Man," Kaminari sighed, leaning back in his chair. "No offense, Bakugou, but I can't imagine how Midoriya still cared about you even after all you did."
"He was my best friend," Midoriya said, seemingly confused.
"Tch," Bakugou (or Saucekay Tchiha idek) looked away, "Whatever."
The blonde stopped, turning with an angered look in his eyes. "What?" he growled.
Midoriya stopped, a slightly scared expression on his face. After a moment, though, his shoulders fell and he looked down sadly. His lips quivered as sweat ran down his face. I haven't told anyone this secret... He pressed his lips together, lowering his head. Not even my mom...
Midoriya began speaking with a nervous look on his face, avoiding eye contact by staring at the ground. "I have to tell you something... Maybe then... You'll understand what's been going on."
"No way," Kaminari sat up with wide eyes, "You told him this early on?!"
Midoriya smiled sheepishly, and Nighteye sighed, shaking his head.
After pausing for a moment, the green-haired boy continued, camera panned out to show both boys from a tilted aerial view. "I wasn't hiding my quirk from you...! It was given to me by someone else... Recently..."
Bakugou turned slightly, hand in his pocket.
Midoriya's voice slightly raised in pitch as he became nervous. "But I can't tell you who I got it from - so don't ask!" He straightened himself, but kept his head pointing towards the ground. "Sounds crazy... I know... It's like something out of a comic book. Only it's real..." Bakugou stared at the boy as he spoke. "The thing is... I don't really have any control over this power yet. I haven't figured out how to make it my own... But I'm trying."
"Man, it's getting intense," Sero said.
Sato nodded. "Agreed. Even the music is getting louder."
"And now we know why Midoriya had such a hard time figuring out his quirk," Tsuyu mentioned.
"Yes," Yaoyorozu nodded, "It allows us to see the full picture of what's going on here."
"Though, it's a bit ironic about the comic book thing, considering we're watching this happen in front of us," Kaminari commented, chuckling.
Bakugou's lip twitched and he breathed in with Midoriya's words.
"That's why... I didn't wanna use it against you in the exercise." His eyebrows pointed downwards, eyes slightly narrower. "But in the end, it was the only way I had a chance of winning...!"
The blonde boy became more annoyed by the second, shaking and gritting his teeth as he looked at Midoriya angrily, letting out shaky, annoyed breaths.
"I've still got a lot to learn. I know that...!" Midoriya said determinedly, only seeming to anger Bakugou further. "That's why I'm here!" He placed his unsheathed hand on his sling. "You'll see... I'll work until I have full control of this borrowed quirk..."
"Remember, you can't think of it like that. It's your own now," Gran Torino said, glancing down at Midoriya who nodded.
"I know that now," the boy replied, "Thank you for your help."
Gran Torino shook his head. "Psh, I didn't really do anything. All Might should've taught you better in the first place," he commented, causing the mentioned man to stiffen.
Kirishima raised a brow. "Am I missing something here?"
"I think that was the man that Deku trained with for his internships," Uraraka commented, glancing between the two. "Right?"
"Yeah," Midoriya laughed nervously. "You'll be able to see after the Sport's Festival." And while everyone's eyes turned away, he sunk down slightly, reminded of Iida's brother.
Midoriya raised his head, music intensifying as his gaze became more determined. "And I'll finally beat you with my own power!"
The music stopped, with Bakugou giving Midoriya a look that mixed both confusion and anger.
Midoriya's eyes suddenly widened and his expression turned into one of regret and semi-fear, a slight gasp escaping him. Oh (hecc), what am I saying?! He lowered his head, face twisted. I only meant to tell him I wasn't tricking him...!
Kaminari let out a laugh. "That sucks."
"Yeaah," Mina rubbed the back of her neck, smiling, "I can see how you could get carried away."
"How dumb do you think I am?" Bakugou suddenly asked, anger in his voice." Midoriya raised his head in surprise, watching as the blonde turned around, head tilted downwards and eyes overshadowed. "Borrowed power...? Don't talk to me like I'm an idiot. You already made a fool out of me in that (heccin) training exercise."
"Guess you were wrong there," Kaminari said, leaning onto the armrest on his seat. "He wasn't lying."
"So?!" Bakugou fully turned, looking down to the side. "Did you come here to rub it in?!" His shoulders shook, and his voice sounded both annoyed and upset. "I lost...! And to make matters worse, it was to you!" The blonde's voice shook slightly, teeth clenched as the boy was clearly feeling insecure. "I came in first in the exam! But that's not enough!"
An image of Todoroki was shown as Bakugou turned his head, showing the boy freeze the building. "When I was watching that ice guy...," he shouted, voice shaky, "I realized I couldn't beat him in a head-to-head fight!"
Yaoyorozu was then shown raising her hand as she spoke of the battle's turnout. "Launching a large-scale attack indoors was a foolish move."
Bakugou slapped his palm against his face, looking at the sky with a pained look on his face. "Ugghhh! I even agreed with what that girl said!" The blonde's fingers curled, and he was clearly tense. "My attack was so stupid!"
The boy shot his hand to his side, fingers curled and tensely shaking. "Dang it!" Bakugou continued, pain in his voice. "Dang it, dang it, dang it!" (I'm sorry, it's kinda ruined w/out the swears but I can't do that :/)
Bakugou clenched his fist as Midoriya looked at him, surprised. "Enjoy that win, Deku...!" He stared straight at the boy, tears in his eyes and teeth clenched. "Cause you won't get another!" The blonde shook his head. I'm just getting started!" He furrowed his brows, yelling towards Midoriya. "Got that?! I'm gonna end up the number one hero - no matter what!"
(i forgot to add this pic before but this scene gave me chills and hhhh i loved it)
The theater was mostly silent as Bakugou spoke, with everyone surprised to see the blonde looking so insecure.
"Oh...," Kaminari mumbled.
Kirishima glanced towards Bakugou, who was simply staring at the ground for the whole ordeal. After a moment, he smiled. "Hey man," he put his hand on his shoulder, "It's super manly that you can admit all of that. I respect you for it, so don't get all sulky."
Bakugou stiffened with the touch, but relaxed after a moment and gave a simple nod.
"I apologize, Bakugou," Yaoyorozu's eyes flicked downwards, "I didn't realize what I said would hurt you like that."
Bakugou sighed, leaning against his armrest. "Whatever. It's not like it wasn't true. Now stop feeling sorry for me and just watch you bunch of extras." He leaned forwards, eyes narrowed as Midoriya watched with a slight smile. "I'm not going to lose like that again."
Midoriya stared with surprised before meeting Bakugou's eyes and giving a determined gaze as well.
After a moment, the blonde turned around, wiping his tears away. "You'll never beat me again, you b*****d. Don't even try!"
The green-haired boy kept his determined gaze as Bakugou talked, but dropped it once he finished, gulping and letting out a sigh of relief.
"Ah," Kirishima chuckled, "You were terrified throughout the entire thing. That's fair."
Midoriya smiled awkwardly. "Yeaaah, I wasn't entirely sure what was going to happen and I guess I got a little stressed."
"THEEEEEERE YOU AAAAAAAAARE!" All Might suddenly shouted, causing Midoriya to glance over. However, the man ended up knocking into the boy and causing him to let out an "OOF!" before running past him towards Bakugou.
"Oof," Kaminari whispered, causing Jiro to groan.
"Baku... gou!" He yelled determinedly, placing his hands on the boy's shoulders with 'GRAB' written in the background, all the while causing the blonde to stop in his tracks. "I found you!" he said, a semi-derpy look on his face.
Kaminari let out a loud laugh. "As if nothing even happened!"
"Way to ruin the moment, All Might," Present Mic said, sniffling.
"Wait, were you actually crying?" Aizawa asked confusedly.
Present Mic looked away. "Shut up!"
All Might began panting before speaking. "Just so you know...," he said, looking up at the sky, "Pride is an important attribute to have. But while you certainly have the abilities to become a pro hero... There's still plenty you have to learn...!"
"Let go of me, All Might," Bakugou said gruffly. "Right now."
All Might lowered his head confusedly. "Hm?"
Bakugou turned towards the man, letting out a shaky breath but with his eyes sharply pointed at him. "Save your speeches," he gritted his teeth. "I'll be more famous than you and I'll do it without your help."
"You tell him, Bakugou!" Nejire cheered. Several people glanced at her confusedly, causing her to shrug. "What? I'm hooked. How can I not root for the guy at least a little?"
"With that aside," Nezu mentioned, "The pride thing is true. Make sure not to let things get to your head, or else things can end up very badly for you."
Although everybody nodded, they were all a bit annoyed (yet impressed) how he kept turning everything into lessons, all the while sipping on an endless supply of tea.
All Might let out a surprised sound, picking his hands up awkwardly. "Uhh... Right..." Bakugou then turned around and continued leaving. I guess he's already over it...
Man..., All Might thought as the screen panned up, Being a teacher is hard...
Aizawa grumbled to himself. "You're telling me..."
"Oh, c'mon, you love it," Present Mic grinned. "All of those kids are like your own chil-"
"Shut up," the man sighed. And, although Present Mic did close his mouth, he didn't bother hiding his wide smile.
The camera then revealed Mina, Uraraka, and Tsuyu who had all been watching from the window.
"Oh hey," Mina laughed, "I forgot about that."
"Yeah, I do remember seeing a bit, but we had no idea what was going on," Uraraka nodded.
"Huh...," Mina said, hands pressed against the glass, "I wonder what that was all about..."
Uraraka lifted her fists slightly. "The fated battle between rivals..."
"Whatever Midoriya was saying," Tsuyu said, turning towards the other two with her finger on her chin, "It looked like Bakugou really wanted to punch him."
Uraraka semi-ignored Tsuyu, pressing her forehead against the grass with her eyebrows pointed downwards. "Childhood friends turned enemies...!"
"You're really hooked on this whole 'fated rivalry' thing, huh?" Kaminari chuckled.
Uraraka smiled, rubbing the back of her neck. "I guess. It just seems kinda cool. Plus," she glanced at both boys (being Midoriya and Bakugou), "You can't tell me they aren't in some sort of rivalry, always competing with each other to be the best and everything. Especially after we saw all that!"
Kirishima nodded in agreement. "That's fair. And the competition is super manly."
"Exactly," Uraraka smiled triumphantly, with Midoriya giving her a confused yet amused look as she leaned back in her chair.
Kacchan's fuse has been lit, Midoriya thought as the blonde walked away, There's a fire under him... Still, the green-haired boy stared on determinedly. But that doesn't change what I have to do. I'll keep chasing after him...
"Yeaaah!" Mina cheered. "This is so cool!"
"Midoriya!" All Might suddenly said, causing Midoriya to glance over after a moment. The man lifted his hand in the air, asking, "What were you saying to Bakugou before I arrived so heroically?"
Midoriya gained a panicked look. "Huh?! Oh! Uh... Nothing special...!"
"Clearly it was something special," Kaminari pointed out, laughing slightly.
All Might sighed, shaking his head while the freckled boy looked away, smiling nervously. "I know."
"Hmm?!" All Might leaned towards the boy, hand behind his ear as Midoriya sweat nervously. "I'm so curious! Why don't you tell me all the juicy details?!"
"Uhm, actually...," Midoriya said nervously, "I kind of... Forgot?"
Mina let out a loud laugh. "That was your excuse?"
Midoriya blushed. "I was a bit nervous, okay?!"
"Haha, I get it, man," Kirishima grinned. "I'd be nervous in your situation too."
"Oh hey, that was the end of the episode, right?" Kaminari asked.
I nodded. "And we should probably hurry along because people probably already want to kill me since it's been several months since anything's happened."
"I see, I see," Kaminari nodded, scratching his chin before a confused expression found its way onto his face. "Wait, several mon-"
