Chapter Seventeen: Farewell To Storyville

Nobody's Pov

As everyone settled down the next episode began to play.

The screen turns on and the camera pans to the cemetery where the three supernatural people and Kurt are still standing.

Klaus is glaring at Rebekah while holding the white oak stake. Elijah is staring at Klaus while holding the blade.

Everyone tensed as they realized that they were starting where they left off.

They were worried yet excited to see what was going to happen.

"Rebekah!" Klaus yelled.

"Walk away" Elijah told his brother in a calm voice.

Klaus ignored him and continued glaring at his sister.

"Don't move!" Klaus warned her.

"Leave us now" Elijah ordered his sister.

"I can't. I'm stuck here" Rebekah told him.

"Wait what?" Mercedes asked, confused.

"What does she mean by that?" Sam asked.

"The witch Sabine, who is also known as Celeste which is Elijah's old girlfriend, placed a boundary spell on the cemetery. Meaning none of them can leave" Gertrude explained.

"Well that's unfortunate" Quinn muttered.

She was really worried about Rebekah especially with her being trapped in the same place as Klaus.

Her eyes wandered down to Klaus's hand, the hand that was holding the white oak stake, and her eyes widened.

"Elijah, he has the white oak stake" Rebekah said, fear shown in her tone.

"I brought it for you, sister" Klaus told her, pointing the white oak stake in her direction.

"Get out of his sight. Your presence here only serves to anger him. Leave him to me now" Elijah sternly said.

Rebekah looked hesitant to which Kurt turned to her and placed his hand on her shoulder.

"Bekah, come on. Let him handle this" Kurt said.

Rebekah reluctantly nodded and held onto Kurt by his arm and sped them both away.

Everyone breathed out a sigh of relief, happy to see Rebekah and Kurt getting away from there.

Elijah was right when he said that Rebekah's presence would only anger Klaus more.

It was better for Rebekah, along with Kurt, to be away until he was somewhat calm.

The scene changes and we see that night has turned into day. The camera pans into one of the tombs where we see Kurt and Rebekah hiding.

Due to Celeste's spell they couldn't leave so they just decided to hide in one of the tombs while Elijah tried to calm Klaus down.

Key word, tried.

"Yeah, nothing is going to calm him down" Sebastian huffed.

The hybrid wants revenge, the hybrid wants blood, specifically the blood of his sisters.

And one way or another he's going to get it and nobody can stop him.

Kurt left Rebekah in the tomb, as she called Marcel to tell him what was going on, to check on Klaus and Elijah.

As he reached the brothers Elijah began talking.

"You've been at this for hours. To what end? Niklaus, I know you, and I grew up fighting you. I can't be beaten, nor can I be persuaded. You cannot get past me" Elijah said.

"I could get past you. Although, it might have to be over your dead body. You did stab me with that blade, forcing me to endure hours of unspeakable pain. Perhaps I should direct my rage toward you" Klaus scowled, pointing the stake threateningly at his brother.

Everyone glanced at each other, wondering if Klaus would really stab his own brother with the blade.

Then again, he is after Rebekah and looks hellbent on killing her for her betrayal.

And lets not forget that Elijah did stab Klaus with the blade first.

Which means that Klaus would definitely do the same.

"You should see yourself. The murderous expression, the self-righteous posturing. You look like father" Elijah told his brother in disbelief.

Klaus's face fell at that, clearly angry and upset, and he shook his head.

"I'm not him. Rebekah's betrayal justifies my anger. His was that of a madman. You were never the recipient of his cruelty. None of you were. Not Kol, not Finn, None of you!" Klaus angrily yelled.

Kurt felt his eyes soften and his heart clench at the tone in his mates voice and the expression on his face.

He knows that Mikael was a terrible father to the Mikaelson siblings but he was worse to Klaus, treating him like he was nothing but a piece of garbage.

Everyone couldn't help but frown at that.

While they don't really like Klaus or trust him they understand that his father is the reason he is the way he is.

Considering his father has done nothing but treat him terribly throughout the years.

And the fact that he has hunted him down to kill him, not stopping until he gets what he wants.

Blaine found himself looking down at his hands that were resting on his lap.

He couldn't believe that he actually found himself relating to Klaus.

His relationship with his father was complicated since his father himself was a complicated man and he always butted heads with him.

Their relationship became worse when Blaine came out as gay and his father didn't accept him.

And he had to endure alot of verbal abuse from his father, sometimes physical, and was treated like garbage.

It's the main reason why Blaine couldn't wait to cut his father off and have nothing to do with him.

"I think you've forgotten what he was truly like" Klaus told his brother.

"No. I have not forgotten" Elijah shook his head, looking deep in thought.

Klaus uses Elijah being lost in thought as his advantage to vamp speed away.

Elijah quickly snaps out of it and grabs Kurt by the arm and vamp speeds after his brother.

He stops after reaching Klaus and lets go of Kurt as the two brothers stare at each other.

"Niklaus, I understand your anger, but I implore you, be better than him. Do what he could not, demonstrate the grace of mercy, rather than this petty cruelty" Elijah said.

"You ask me to show mercy to one who has wronged me. You really don't know me at all, do you, brother?" Klaus scoffed.

"Ok, I understand that he's angry at Rebekah for what she's done but can't he just take the chance to hear her out?" Trent asked.

"Agreed. There has to be a reason why she did what she did" Thad nodded.

Kurt sighed and opens his mouth to say something only to stop at the voice from behind him.

"Enough".

The three men turn around to see that Rebekah has come out of hiding and is now looking at Klaus with a brave look in her eyes.

Everyone's eyes widened at seeing Rebekah come out of her hiding spot and facing her brother.

"Well, I'll be. I never thought she'd come out of hiding" Sue hummed.

"Same" Mr. Schue nodded.

"At the end of the day she's a Mikaelson, an original, and she won't hide away in fear" Gertrude told them.

If there's one thing Mikaelson's are known for it's their bravery no matter who or what they're up against.

"Whatever I have done wrong, my guilt is nothing compared to yours. You want revenge? Fine. But, before you have it, I will look you in the eye and tell you why it was your cruelty and your spite that led us to this" Rebekah said.

"Go on, then. Speak your piece, and when you are finished, I will grant you the punishment you deserve, even if I have to go through Elijah to do so" Klaus told her.

Kurt glanced between the Mikaelson siblings and sighed.

He had a feeling that this wasn't going to turn out well.

"You're not the only one, bud" Burt muttered.

While he's happy that Rebekah stopped hiding in fear and was brave enough to face her brother, he was worried.

Because he, along with everyone else, believes that no matter what Rebekah says or does Klaus is still going to punish her.

Or worse, kill her.

The scene changes and we're still at the cemetery.

The camera pans over to Rebekah, Elijah and Kurt that are standing together while Klaus is currently sitting on top of a tomb pretending to be a judge.

"Let it begin. The trial of Rebekah Mikaelson" Klaus announced.

Kurt was staring up at his mate with a deadpan expression. While Rebekah and Elijah are staring up at their brother with exasperation.

Everyone blinked at the scene they were currently watching, wondering if they were watching correctly.

It was silent in the theater for a good minute before it was broken by laughter coming from everyone.

Hell, even Gertrude was laughing.

"Oh my god. I can't believe him right now" Finn laughed, shaking his head.

"This dude may be annoying at times but he's so freaking funny" Puck laughed, clutching his stomach.

Everyone had to admit that Klaus was funny when he was being dramatic.

"What a relief. His ego is in check" Rebekah muttered while rolling her eyes.

"Unfortunately" Kurt muttered with a shake of his head.

"Just speak your truth. I'll make certain he behaves himself" Elijah told his sister.

He takes a seat on one of the smaller tombs while Rebekah and Kurt remain standing.

"You stand accused of betraying your own blood. How do you plead?" Klaus asked his sister.

"I plead you to shut up and listen" Rebekah angrily said.

Kurt snorted at that while Klaus glared at his mate before turning to glare at his sister.

Just as the laughter began to die down it resurfaced at Rebekah's words.

"Man, this scene is funny" Thad chuckled, wiping away a fake tear.

"I'll say" Sebastian nodded.

"You summoned our father. You brought him to our home. What possible defense could you have?" Klaus asked.

"I knew he was the only thing that you feared, and I wanted you to run" Rebekah said.

"Because you hated me" Klaus said.

"Because you were hateful. You denied me the freedom to love" Rebekah told him.

"Oh, so that's your defense? You called Mikael, the Destroyer, the Hunter of Vampires, because I detained you from pursuing some dull suitors?" Klaus asked.

"You were cruel, and controlling, and manipulative" Rebekah argued.

"I was trying to protect you!" Klaus yelled, throwing his hands up in the air.

"How? How the hell were you trying to protect her her?!" Coach Beiste asked.

"By controlling her and stabbing a dagger through her heart if she did something that you didn't like?" Ms. Pillsbury sarcastically asked.

How was any of that a form of protecting his sister?

How could a brother treat his own sister like that?

"Protect her from what, Nik?" Kurt asked with a raised eyebrow.

"From imbeciles, and leeches. Not to mention her own poor judgment" Klaus said.

"And what about the one that you loved enough to call friend? Why did you forbid me to love Marcel?" Rebekah asked.

Everyone winced at that and shifted uncomfortably in their seats.

They have to admit that they find it weird that Rebekah and Marcel were lovers.

Considering Marcel is basically Klaus's son since Klaus raised him and became a father to him, which essentially makes Rebekah his aunt.

They know that they aren't related by blood but it's still weird.

"Do not mention his name" Klaus angrily said, standing up from the tomb while pointing at her.

Rebekah let out a scoff of disbelief as she stared at her brother like she didn't recognize him.

"What has happened to you? I remember the sweet boy who made me laugh and gave me gifts, who loved art and music. I wanted to be just like you. How could you have fallen so far?" Rebekah asked.

"The man was abused for nearly his entire life. He was bound to snap and change into someone else" Sebastian commented.

Everyone took his words into consideration and nodded their heads in agreement.

Abuse, whether verbal or physical or both, is something that will stick with someone for the rest of their life.

It's not something that can easily go away.

Klaus had to endure abuse throughout his entire life thanks to Mikael and it's quite clear it wasn't easy.

Anyone that has endured too much pain for too long is bound to snap and bound to completely change.

And that's what happened with Klaus.

Elijah stood up and moved to stand at Rebekah's side.

"You say you despise Rebekah for her betrayal, and yet no one has stood by your side for so long, not even I myself. Perhaps it's you that's forgotten. I remember the day that father caught you whittling little chess pieces with his hunting knife. He beat you so mercilessly and for so long, I actually feared for your life" Elijah explained.

Kurt frowned at that and looked at his mate and saw a pained expression on his face before he looked down.

Everyone frowned at hearing what Mikael had done to Klaus in the past.

They couldn't believe that before everything happened Klaus had to endure all of that abuse.

They can't imagine just what he had to endure all those years before he and his siblings were turned.

Klaus then cleared his throat and looked back up as his eyes met Rebekah's.

"So, you would paint her as a loyal sister, but she betrayed me out of lust for Marcel. Perhaps that was why you did it, for love. Perhaps I might temper my rage if Rebekah will admit she was a victim of her own idiocy. That her great love, Marcel, used her to oust this family and to take my city" Klaus said.

"Marcel did not manipulate me" Rebekah shook her head.

"You defend him, and yet you can't help but wonder, what if I'm right?" Klaus asked with a smirk.

"We loved each other. It was your refusal to respect that that led to your ruin" Rebekah argued.

"Then why didn't he chase after you when you fled New Orleans? Oh, yes! That's right. He was here stealing what I built!" Klaus yelled.

"Because all three of you ran off and left him behind! You left him to die!" Finn yelled.

"Exactly! Why would he run after any of you when you all just left?" Puck added.

No doubt that Marcel felt angry and hurt at them for leaving, especially Rebekah.

There's no way he would want to go after any of them, not when they decided that he was a lost cause.

"You want me to renounce Marcel, to beg for your forgiveness? I won't. Marcel is not at fault. I called Mikael" Rebekah said, tears beginning to form in her eyes.

"Bekah" Kurt muttered, beginning to grow worried as he saw the anger appear in his mates eyes.

Elijah looked just as worried and shook his head, "Rebekah, you must-".

But Rebekah ignored both of them and continued.

"I was the one who brought him to New Orleans because of your wickedness! I wanted love and happiness, and you denied me the freedom to have either. Yes, I hated and I was afraid of our father, but he was a lesser evil than you. My bastard brother who loomed over me, threatening me as you are now. I wanted rid of you, and given the choice, I'd do it again!" Rebekah angrily yelled.

Klaus, furious, jumps down and lunges at Rebekah and pushes her against a tomb. He raises the stake, ready to plunge it into her heart.

"Nik, don't!" Kurt yelled with wide eyes.

Everyone's eyes widened and they felt their bodies tense up.

Was Klaus really going to do it?

Was he really going to kill his sister?

Just before Klaus can do anything Elijah vamp speeds to his brother and tackles him to the ground.

Kurt sighed in relief before rushing towards Rebekah as she gasps in fear and surprise.

Kurt brings her into a hug, whispering soothing things into her ear, as she hugs him back while trembling a bit.

Once Rebekah has calmed down the two of them pull away from the hug.

They look over at Klaus and Elijah and their eyes widened when they see that Elijah has Papa Tunde's blade and the white oak stake.

Sighs of reliefs could be heard from everyone in the theater.

Because not only did Elijah save his sister from being killed but now he was in possession of the blade and the white oak stake.

While Klaus has nothing.

"Sister, leave us. Take Kurt with you" Elijah ordered.

"I'm not going-" Rebekah started but was cut off.

"I said, leave us, please" Elijah sternly said.

Rebekah swallowed thickly before grabbing Kurt by the arm and dragged him away.

"Lets hope he can overpower his brother" Blaine sighed.

"Or at the very least try and calm him down" Santana shrugged.

Although, she didn't believe Elijah would actually be able to calm Klaus down.

Considering Rebekah has just angered him more with what she told him.

The scene changes to a tomb and we head inside where we see Rebekah and Kurt.

Rebekah is currently on the phone with Marcel, again, while Kurt is leaning against the wall with his arms crossed.

He was worried about what would happen with Klaus and Elijah.

Not only that but he was worried about his best friend, wondering if she was alright, he wanted to call or text her but his phone died minutes ago.

"Not to mention you and the other three people you're with are still trapped in the cemetery" Sebastian added.

Kurt snaps out of his thoughts when Rebekah starts walking out of the tomb.

"Bekah, where are you going?" Kurt asked, confused and worried.

Rebekah ignores him and leaves the tomb causing Kurt to follow after her.

The two of them arrive to where the brothers are at and Kurt's eyes widen when he sees Elijah on the ground gasping in agony.

"Now you know how it feels" Klaus smirks down at his brother.

Everyone's eyes widened at what they were seeing, shocked and confused.

"Wait, what happened?" Brittany asked.

"What did Klaus do?" Tina asked.

"He stabbed Elijah with the blade" Gertrude replied.

Everyone's eyes widened at that as they glanced at each other.

They honestly thought that Elijah would have an advantage since he was the one with the blade and the white oak stake.

Looks like they were wrong.

Kurt is going to say something but stops when he sees Rebekah grab the white oak stake that was lying on the ground.

"That was supposed to be my line" Rebekah said.

Klaus turns around and his eyes widen in surprise when he sees that his sister is in possession of the stake.

"Now, I have this. So I decide who lives and who dies" Rebekah added.

"Yes!" everyone yelled, smiles appearing on their faces.

"Atta girl" Carole grinned.

She was happy that Rebekah was now in possession of the white oak stake.

"I'm taking out that blade" Rebekah told her brother.

"You'll have to kill me first, and now you hold the means to do so. Why not finish what you started a century ago?" Klaus asked.

"Nik she didn't want you dead. She wanted you to run" Kurt sighed.

Rebekah nodded as she pointed the stake at her brother and slowly walked towards him.

"She's a liar! She wanted revenge!" Klaus snarled.

"You drove me to betray you, and now you want to twist it and make it worse so you can justify killing me instead of accepting your own fault? All I did was love your friend! You could've been happy for us, but instead, in your paranoia, you feared losing us both. And, because of that, you did. There is no one else to blame, Nik. Only you" Rebekah angrily said.

Everyone was silent at Rebekah's words as they agreed with everything she said.

After all, Klaus was the only one to blame for being the reason he has lost Marcel and Rebekah.

Nobody else is to blame for that but him, especially with the way he acts.

"Where is Marcel now, hmm? I thought he loved you, and yet he left you trapped in here with me" Klaus mockingly smiled.

Rebekah says nothing at that and just stares at her brother with Klaus staring back at her.

"You against me. It's hardly a fair fight, is it? I mean, perhaps, if Marcel were here, you'd stand a chance, but I expect he's already found another girl. No doubt younger and prettier" Klaus said.

"Asshole" Blaine scoffed.

"You're one to talk" Burt shot back.

Blaine flinched and look at the man in shock but Burt just glared at him before looking away.

"Nik" Kurt warned, glaring at him.

"You take joy in other people's pain, and then you wonder why I hate you" Rebekah scowled.

"Yes, and that hatred led you to do what you did. Admit the truth. Admit you wanted me dead" Klaus said.

"I wanted you to run, that is all, despite your delusions" Rebekah told him.

"Elijah lies suffering, and I will allow you to help him. All you have to do is admit it" Klaus told her.

"Or Kurt can do it himself" Mr. Schue suggested.

"I doubt that, William. Considering porcelain was angry at Elijah for stabbing his mate with the blade" Sue reminded him.

Mr. Schue sighed but said nothing because he knew that Sue was right.

"You're insane" Rebekah told him, stepping back as her brother advanced on her.

"Yes! Yes! I am a vicious, heartless monster, and so you summoned Mikael to kill me. Admit it" Klaus shouted.

"It's not true" Rebekah shook her head.

"You know what you did. Admit it" Klaus ordered.

"Nik, stop it! This has gone far enough!" Kurt yelled.

"No shit, lady hummel" Sebastian muttered.

Klaus glanced at his mate for a bit before turning back to his sister.

"I didn't!" Rebekah yelled.

"You wanted me dead! Admit it!" Klaus yelled.

Silence filled the air of the cemetery as the siblings stared at each other with Klaus waiting for Rebekah to answer.

Rebekah, as quiet and soft as she could, finally answered, "maybe I did".

Everyone felt their eyes widen and their breaths hitch at her words.

They couldn't believe that she actually admitted it, especially when she knows that it would give Klaus more of a reason to kill her.

"Yeah, she's dead" Puck muttered.

Nobody said anything at that because they all agreed with him.

Rebekah really was going to die.

Kurt froze at Rebekah's words, not believing what he just heard, and looked at Klaus and saw how hurt he looked.

Rebekah, realizing what she just said, let out a shaky breath and looked at her brother with wide eyes.

"Nik-" Rebekah started but was cut off.

Klaus, shocked that she actually admitted it, angrily stabs Rebekah with the white oak stake.

"BEKAH!" Kurt shouted with wide eyes.

A few people's eyes widened at what they saw while a few others simply sighed.

As shocked as they wanted to be, they knew it was going to happen one way or another.

They were just shocked that it took this long for Klaus to finally snap and get what he wanted.

Rebekah gasped in pain as she looked at her brother before falling to the ground.

Klaus stood over her in numb silence before slowly pulling out the blade. He glanced at his mate before walking away.

Kurt let out a shaky breath, not believing everything that just happened.

"You and me both, man" Finn muttered.

He definitely needed a break from everything that took place in this episode was crazy.

The scene changes to another part of the cemetery and we see that night has fallen.

The camera pans over to Klaus and we see him sitting on a tomb while holding the white oak stake.

Footsteps could be heard and the camera pans to Kurt who's walking towards Klaus.

"Nik" Kurt softly said.

Just as Kurt takes a seat next to his mate Klaus slowly rests his head on his shoulder. Kurt sighed before wrapping his arms around his mate and held him close.

Kurt knew it was hard for Klaus to have his heart broken by his family. To be betrayed by the people that are supposed to love you and be there for you.

He knows how that feels.

It's what he felt with Blaine the day he revealed that he cheated on him.

It's what he still feels because a big part of him still hasn't moved on from it and probably never will because of how much it hurt.

Blaine frowned at that and looked down, nothing but sadness and guilt coursing through him.

He never meant to hurt Kurt, he really didn't, but he was just lonely and just wanted someone that would pay attention to him.

He knows that it was stupid, truly stupid, but he couldn't stop himself from doing what he did.

But after realizing what he had done he realized just how much he had screwed up.

And he wants nothing more than to make it up to Kurt, to show just how sorry he is and beg for another chance.

That's all he wants.

Footsteps are heard and the camera pans in front of them and we, surprisingly, see Rebekah.

"You missed my heart" Rebekah quietly said.

Everyone's eyes widened at seeing Rebekah safe and, most of all, alive.

They honestly thought Klaus was going to kill her but they were relieved that that wasn't the case.

"Looks like he couldn't go through with it" Mr. Schue breathed out.

"Well ain't that shocking" Sue muttered.

"Perhaps I did. Or, perhaps I never meant to kill you. Perhaps I just wanted you to feel a fraction the fear I felt when father came for me" Klaus told her.

"Do you yourself know the truth?" Rebekah asked.

"I know this. You accuse me of being evil, and yet you are the one who conspired to kill your own blood" Klaus said.

"You made our lives a living hell. You tormented us" Rebekah told him.

"I love my family. You, Elijah. I loved all of you" Klaus told her.

"He does love them. He just shows it in his own complicated way" Rachel sighed.

"You can say that again" Santana muttered.

He gets up and walks towards Rebekah, stopping in front of her as he looks her in the eyes.

"I know I can be difficult, but I did not make myself this way. It was Mikael who ruined me" Klaus told her.

"He ruined me, too. That's what you forget. Centuries later, each of us is broken. You with your anger and paranoia, me with my fear of abandonment. And poor Elijah" Rebekah said.

She, along with Kurt, look over at where Elijah is still lying on the ground with Papa Tunde's blade still stuck in his chest.

"He dedicates himself to everyone but himself. We are the strongest creatures in the world, and yet, we are damaged beyond repair. We live without hope, but we will never die. We are the definition of 'cursed'. Always and forever" Rebekah finished.

Tears streamed down not only Rebekah's face but Klaus's face.

While Kurt glanced between the siblings with a frown on his face and a sad look in his eyes.

Everyone was silent during the conversation between Klaus and Rebekah.

Some couldn't help but shed a few tears at Rebekah's words knowing that she spoke nothing but the truth.

The scene changes to the bayou where we see a bunch wolves surrounded by a bonfire.

The still human members of the pack were either in their tents, near the bonfire or sitting on chairs while talking to their families and friends.

The camera pans over to Hayley who was sitting in front of the bonfire with her hands clasped together, looking lost in thought.

"Hales" someone said from behind her.

Hayley turned around and her eyes widened when she saw Kurt.

"Kurt" Hayley breathed out in relief.

She got up and made her way to her best friend and embraced him in a hug. Kurt sighed in content and hugged her back.

Everyone couldn't help but smile at the interaction between Hayley and Kurt.

They had to admit that whenever they got a scene of the two best friends it always put a smile on their faces.

The two of them pulled away from the hug as they turned to the bonfire with Kurt moving to stand next to his best friend.

"I was worried something happened. I tried calling and texting but you never responded" Hayley said.

"Yeah, sorry about that. My phone was dead so I obviously didn't see any of your texts and calls" Kurt said.

"Well, where were you? What happened?" Hayley asked.

"I was at the cemetery with Nik, Elijah and Rebekah. And, lets just say a ton of shit went down" Kurt sighed.

Hayley raised an eyebrow at that and would've asked more had she and Kurt not heard footsteps from behind them.

They turned around to see Rebekah walking towards them with her hands in her pockets.

"Hey, Bekah, I'm glad to see you're still alive" Kurt told her with a small smile.

"Me too" Rebekah nodded.

"Well, what are you doing here?" Hayley asked.

"I came to say goodbye" Rebekah said.

Everyone's eyes widened at what they heard.

Goodbye?

What does she mean by goodbye?

All eyes turned to Gertrude, wanting an answer, causing the witch to sigh.

"Rebekah and Klaus came to an arrangement. Klaus will allow Rebekah to be free, to live her life, only if she leaves New Orleans and never comes back" Gertrude explained.

Realization coursed through them and they glanced at each other.

While they were upset that Rebekah was leaving, and for good, they understood that it was for the best.

It's clear that Klaus is still angry and hurt at Rebekah for her betrayal and if she stays in town it won't be good for either of them.

Not when their relationship has been damaged.

"What happened to the three of us sticking together?" Hayley asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Well, Nik and I came to a sort of all-or-nothing arrangement. I leave town for good, and he allows me to. Can't pass that up" Rebekah shrugged.

"A thousand years with Nik? I guess you deserve a few vacation days" Kurt chuckled.

"Days? I say she needs a few vacation years" Carole laughed softly.

That girl has been by Klaus's side since day one and has had to endure all the hell that came with it.

She deserves time for herself and she deserves to go wherever she wants to be free and have fun.

Rebekah smiled before her expression turned serious.

"Listen. About Nik, he is a monster. Do not ever cross him. But, he does want more from life than to just be feared. He's too broken to find it himself, but I do believe there is hope for him in the baby that you carry" Rebekah told Hayley.

She then turned to Kurt.

"The baby your bestie is carrying isn't the only hope for Nik. There's also hope for him in you. You two might be mates but I know that Nik has grown feelings for you. You make him feel something that I haven't seen in a long time. He wants you, that much is obvious. And I know you want him too. If you two ever decide to become a couple, which I hope happens sooner rather than later, promise to keep him happy and always remind him that you'll be there for him no matter what" Rebekah said.

Kurt blushes at that but allows a smile to appear on his face.

"I promise, Bekah" Kurt nodded.

The girls and Sue couldn't stop the grins from appearing on their faces.

They agreed with Rebekah when she said that there's also hope for Klaus in Kurt, not just because of the mate bond, but because Klaus obviously has feelings for Kurt.

And they know that Kurt feels the same way even if he doesn't want to admit it out loud.

They are just waiting for those two to make it official.

Rebekah smiles before releasing a sigh as she looks at Hayley and Kurt.

"And speaking of your child, our family has no shortage of enemies. She will inherit all of them. Please, be careful. Both of you" Rebekah begged.

Hayley and Kurt look at each other before looking back at Rebekah while nodding their heads.

"You know, you can always come back and visit. I've been known to keep a secret or two from Klaus" Hayley told her.

"Same. And even if Nik finds out, I'll make sure to keep him in place" Kurt added.

Rebekah laughed at that while Hayley grinned in amusement.

"Well, if I can't, you make sure to tell that little girl stories of her crazy Auntie Bex. And let her know, despite my absence, I do love her very much" Rebekah smiled.

Hayley and Kurt, who have tears streaming down their face, smile and nod at her.

Rebekah, who has tears of her own streaming down her face, smiles and nods at the two of them before turning around and leaves.

Everyone doesn't know why they found themselves shedding a few tears at seeing Rebekah leave.

They don't even know the Mikaelson girl that well but knowing that she's leaving and never coming back makes them sad.

Maybe it's the fact that while they were brought here to watch Kurt's life after leaving New York they've grown attached to the new people they have met.

Rebekah being one of them.

And maybe it's the fact that they don't know if they will ever see her again.

Maybe not now but hopefully sometime in the future they'll get to see her again.

Once Rebekah is gone Hayley and Kurt sigh and wipe their tears away. Kurt then turns to his best friend.

"So, are you going to stay here for the night?" Kurt asked.

"Yeah. I kind of want to be close to the wolves and get to know them, at least the ones that are still in human form" Hayley said.

"Well, I'm going to head back to the compound. There's something I need to take care of" Kurt said.

"And what would that be?" Hayley asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I think it's time that Nik and I talk about everything. About us" Kurt told her.

Everyone raised an eyebrow at that and glanced at each other.

Meanwhile, the girls and Sue felt their excitement rise up inside them as they smiled.

Were Klaus and Kurt going to sit down and talk about everything that's going on between them?

Were they finally going to kiss?

Were they finally going to make things official?

Hayley smiled at that before hugging her best friend while kissing his cheek.

"Be safe when heading back" Hayley told him.

"I will" Kurt nodded.

With that, Kurt turned around and left the bayou to head back to the compound.

The scene changes to the compound and the camera pans into Klaus's study where we see him sitting on the couch while holding a wooden knight in his hands, small tears streaming down his face.

"Nik?" someone calls out to him.

Klaus looks up and sees his mate walking into his study with a concerned look on his face.

"Love, when did you arrive?" Klaus asked, wiping his tears away.

"Just now" Kurt told him.

He walks over to the couch Klaus is sitting on and takes a seat next to him.

"What's that?" Kurt asked, pointing to the wooden knight.

"This? This is something I carved over 1,000 years ago and I gave it to Rebekah when we were kids. A storm was happening during the night when my siblings and I were asleep. Rebekah was scared of the storm and I gave her the knight as comfort, reminding her how knights are brave and she can be brave herself" Klaus explained.

Everyone couldn't stop the smiles from appearing on their faces at hearing that.

"Awww" the girls cooed.

"That's adorable" Carole softly smiled.

She's happy to know that there were at least some good memories between Klaus and Rebekah.

"She told me to stay with her until the storm ends and I..." Klaus trailed off.

Tears began to gather in his eyes and were threatening to fall but Klaus was trying his best to keep them in.

"I told her that I will always stay with her, no matter what" Klaus finished.

Kurt frowned at seeing the tears beginning to stream down Klaus's face.

"Oh, Nik" Kurt sighed.

He scooted closer to his mate and wrapped his arms around him, pulling him into a hug. Klaus didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around Kurt, burying his face into the crook of his neck.

They stayed that way for a bit before Klaus pulled his face back from Kurt's neck in order to speak.

"I was the one that allowed Rebekah to leave. I allowed her to be free. I allowed her to live her life. I thought I wouldn't care, not after what she's done, but for some reason I do care that she's gone and never coming back" Klaus said.

"Because she's your sister. At the end of the day, no matter what she has done, she's still your sister. Someone that has been by your side since day one. Someone that you love with all your heart" Kurt explained.

He brought his hands up to gently cup the sides of his face.

"You're allowed to still be angry at her for what she has done. But you're also allowed to miss her, especially when you realize that she finally got what she's always wanted. She's going to use that to her advantage and never return. Especially when she knows she won't get it back if she were to return" Kurt finished.

Everyone listened carefully to Kurt's words and found themselves agreeing with what he said.

No matter how angry and hurt Klaus is because of Rebekah's betrayal, it doesn't change the fact that she's still his sister and he loves her.

And even though he's the one that told her to leave, to never return, it's evident that he's going to miss her.

Especially when they have stood by each others side for thousands of years.

Klaus sighed but nodded his head in understanding.

"I don't know what it is but you always know what to say to calm me down" Klaus softly said.

"What can I say? It's my specialty" Kurt shrugged with a grin.

Klaus laughed at that and shook his head in amusement causing Kurt to laugh as well.

As the laughter died down Kurt removed his hands from Klaus's face while Klaus set down the wooden knight.

"Love, can I ask you something?" Klaus asked.

"Of course" Kurt nodded.

"What exactly was your life like before you came to New Orleans? I realize that you haven't said anything about your past" Klaus said.

Kurt frowned before letting out a sigh.

He knew that was coming but he wasn't upset because he knew that he was going to have to spill everything sooner or later.

Everyone glanced at each other.

They wondered how Klaus was going to react once Kurt tells him everything about his past.

And considering everything Kurt had to endure, especially in highschool, they know that the hybrids reaction won't be good.

"You don't have to tell me if you aren't-" Klaus started but was cut off.

"No, it's ok. I was always going to tell you everything about me, I mean you deserve to know. But, it's just hard to talk about since it's something I try my best to forget about" Kurt said.

Kurt closed his eyes, took a few deep breaths, before reopening his eyes and looked at Klaus.

"I lived in Lima Ohio for my entire life. I had my mom and my dad and we were happy. But then my mom died when I was eight and things changed. My dad and I were heartbroken but with time we learned to move on and we had each other so we knew that we could overcome anything together" Kurt explained.

Burt smiled at that as he tried his best not to cry.

It's true that he and Kurt had a hard time when Elizabeth died because they both loved her so much.

But with time they slowly moved on and they remembered that they still had each other.

As long as they were there for each other they could overcome anything that was thrown at them.

Klaus frowned at what happened to his mates mother but didn't say anything as Kurt continued.

"But things got harder for me as I grew older. I learned that I was different than other boys. I didn't like sports and I didn't like getting dirty and all of that stuff. It didn't take long for me to realize that I'm gay and I embraced it. But, at the same time, I was scared because I didn't know if people would accept me. If my dad would accept me. I hid my true self for quite a while before deciding that I no longer wanted to hide and revealed who I really was" Kurt explained.

"That was really brave, love" Klaus praised.

Kurt said nothing and just nodded.

"Did your family and friends accept you?" Klaus asked.

"Well, my friends accepted me so that was good. I have to admit that I was mainly worried about telling my dad. Fortunately, he accepted me too. He didn't understand and he may not have liked it in the beginning, but he loved me and nothing would ever change that. That's really all that matters to me" Kurt explained.

"You're lucky. Most fathers wouldn't accept their sons for being gay" Klaus said.

"I know" Kurt nodded with a small smile.

He will forever be grateful for having such an amazing and accepting dad in his life.

Burt smiled softly and felt a few tears streaming down his cheeks.

His son was, always will be, his pride and joy and he doesn't care if his son is gay.

Kurt means the world to him and he will always be there for him and support him no matter what he does in life.

He just hates that he doesn't have his son with him at the moment.

God, he wants nothing more than for his son to just appear in the theater so he can hug him after so long.

Meanwhile, Blaine glanced between Burt and onscreen Kurt with a frown on his face.

He had to admit that he was always jealous of the relationship between Kurt and his dad.

The fact that Burt was perfectly fine with Kurt being gay made him happy yet upset.

Because he wishes his dad reacted the way Burt did when he came out but he didn't.

"Unfortunately, other people didn't react the way my friends and dad did. At my old highschool, when word got out that I was gay I was a constant target of bullying. My main bully and tormentor was David Karofsky. He was on the football team and he hated gay people. And after learning I was one, he constantly bullied me and never once left me alone" Kurt said.

Klaus frowned, concern shown in his eyes.

"In the beginning he would just throw numerous insults whenever he saw me. It hurt but I always did my best to ignore him. But then he started getting violent" Kurt said.

"How violent?" Klaus asked.

"He would shove me into lockers, sometimes into walls, and he even threw slushies in my face. My friends also had to deal with slushies being thrown into their faces but it was always me that suffered because of my sexuality. Karofsky just liked messing with me and wouldn't leave me alone even when I tried avoiding him" Kurt said.

"Did your friends do anything to help? What about the teachers and the principal?" Klaus asked.

"Please, the staff didn't give a shit about the bullying. Not even the stupid principal. Hell, my former glee club teacher knew but he never made an effort to help. Goes to show how much they care" Kurt scoffed.

The staff of McKinley flinched not only at Kurt's words but at the glares they were getting from everyone in the theater.

The glare that made them, even Sue, shiver was from Burt Hummel himself.

Which they understood since he's Kurt's father and he wanted nothing more than for his son to be protected.

Which is something they failed to do.

God, they were really going to have come up with something to make it up to Kurt.

It's the least they could do.

"As for my friends, they tried their best to help me but it wasn't enough. They did confront Karofsky and told him to back off, but that was it" Kurt shrugged.

Klaus frowned, clearly angry.

He couldn't believe that the teachers and principal just turned a blind eye to the bullying his mate endured.

He couldn't believe that his mates so called friends didn't do more to help.

Now it was time for the new directions to flinch.

They may have helped Kurt when confronting Karofsky and telling him to back off, that's all they did.

They didn't do enough to help their friend, they didn't do enough to protect him.

God, they really were terrible friends.

Rachel especially felt like total shit because she was Kurt's best friend and knew what he had endured but didn't help him.

When Kurt had helped her all those times and was there for her no matter what.

She, along with the others, made a mental note to find a way to make it up to him.

After all, it's what Kurt deserves.

"I can't believe you went through all of that simply because you are who you are. It's bloody ridiculous" Klaus scowled.

"I know" Kurt sighed.

"God, I wish I could meet this Karofsky so I could give him a good beating" Klaus said.

"Please do. You confronting him would've been better than when I confronted him" Kurt chuckled.

Klaus did a double take at that and looked at his mate with shock.

Everyone in the theater did a double take at Kurt's words.

They either looked at the screen with shock or confusion.

"Hold on, when did my son confront Karofsky?" Burt asked, looking at the new directions.

The new directions glanced at each other before looking at Burt.

"We don't know, sir" Sam told him.

"Yeah, none of us knew he did that" Mike added.

"Yeah. Kurt never mentioned that to any of us" Puck said.

"Yeah, we're just as shocked and confused as you are" Mercedes nodded.

Burt frowned at that and looked at Carole to see she was just as confused as he was.

Blaine, on the other hand, felt his eyes widen and his breath hitch which made the warblers look at him weirdly.

If Kurt tells Klaus everything that happened with Karofsky, which he's sure he will, he already knows how the hybrid is going to react.

But he's not worried about that.

He's worried about how the others are going to react.

And he's not ready for the chaos that's going to happen when it's all revealed.

"Wait, you confronted your bully? Really?" Klaus asked.

"Yes. And it was stupid. Absolutely stupid" Kurt told him.

Klaus frowned at that.

"Love, what did you do?" Klaus asked.

"I just wanted the bullying and torment to stop. I was so sick of all the bullshit Karofsky put me through. I just wanted to show that I wasn't afraid. God, I just wanted him to leave me the hell alone. Instead, I just made things worse because I decided to follow some stupid advice" Kurt scowled.

"Love, what happened? What did Karofsky do?" Klaus asked.

"I insulted the piece of shit like he always did to me and that irritated him. I wanted to stop but I kept going because I had so much anger inside of me. The next thing I know his disgusting lips are on mine. The piece of shit forced a kiss on me! He stole my first kiss and I hated him even more because of it!" Kurt yelled.

Klaus's eyes widened at the revelation and felt nothing but shock course through him.

Silence.

Absolute silence filled the theater room. You could only hear a pin drop.

The girls were all covering their mouths in utter horror, their eyes wide as they shed a few tears.

The boys, from the new directions and the warblers, all had the same reaction as Klaus.

Hell, even Sebastian looked shocked.

Mr. Schue. Ms. Pillsbury, Sue and Coach Beiste were all staring at the screen in shock the same way the others were.

They couldn't believe what they just learned.

Burt was staring at the screen with nothing but horror in his eyes with his jaw dropped all the way to the ground.

Carole was in the same boat as her husband, her mouth being covered by her hand, as tears streamed down her face.

"No, please tell me this isn't true. Please tell me none of that happened" Burt begged.

He didn't want to believe this.

He didn't want to believe that his sons first kiss with a boy, something that should've been special, was taken away from him.

By his bully/tormentor of all people.

Gertrude sighed and gave the man a sad look.

She opened her mouth to respond when someone beat her to it.

"It's true".

All heads whipped to Blaine's direction since he was the one that spoke.

And they all saw him looking at Burt with a look of guilt and with tears gathering in his eyes.

"It's true. It really happened. I know because Kurt told me. And because-" Blaine started but stopped.

He hesitated to tell his ex-boyfriends dad that it was him who gave Kurt the advice.

Because he knew what was going to come if he did.

Burt scowled at him, his knee bouncing up and down, and slammed his fist into his seats armrest.

"Because what?!" Burt yelled, impatient.

Blaine closed his eyes, mentally preparing for what was going to happen.

"Because I was the one that told him to confront Karofsky. I'm the one that gave him that stupid advice" Blaine said.

Nothing but gasps filled the theater room from nearly everyone.

Blaine slowly opened his eyes and, as expected, he saw everyone either glaring at him or giving him looks of disbelief.

The warblers were staring at him with shock and disappointment.

Blaine swallowed thickly and slowly turned to make eye contact with Burt.

Suddenly...

Thud!

Blaine's face whipped to the side and he found himself being knocked out of his seat and onto the ground.

Blaine groaned in pain and slowly brought his hand up to touch the cheek that had been punched.

Blaine felt someone towering over him and he looked up to see Burt.

Who was currently glaring down at him with his jaw clenched tightly.

Blaine waited for the man to start beating on him or to start throwing insults at him.

Instead, Burt just turned away from him and walked back to his seat.

Blaine was shocked, that's for sure, but a little relieved that all he got handed to him was a punch.

As much as his cheek would sting and a bruise will surely form at least he didn't get a full on beating.

Blaine pushed himself up from the ground, still holding his cheek, and made his way back to his seat.

Once everyone settled down the episode resumed.

Tears began streaming down Kurt's face and his anger faded into sadness and disgust.

His lips trembled and he buried his face into his hands and cried into them.

Klaus quickly snapped out of his shocked state and scooted closer to his mate.

He embraced Kurt into a hug and held him close, rubbing his back up and down, as Kurt hugged him back and buried his face into his chest.

"It's ok, love. It's ok" Klaus whispered.

Kurt said nothing and just held Klaus tighter while crying into his chest.

Everyone's eyes softened at seeing the state Kurt was in.

The girls were already crying while some of the boys were trying to keep their tears in but it was hard.

They couldn't believe that Kurt had to endure all of that.

He didn't deserve any of that and they hate that they weren't there for him.

They were just as mad at themselves as they were mad at Blaine for being the reason Kurt's first kiss with a boy was stolen from him.

When Kurt calmed down the mates pulled away from their hug and looked at each other.

Klaus gently cupped the side of Kurt's face and wiped his tears away.

"I'm so sorry that you went through that, love. You didn't deserve any of that" Klaus softly said.

"I really didn't. But, I'm trying my best to forget about it. It's in the past and what's happened has happened and there's nothing I can do to change it. I just wanna move on no matter how hard it is" Kurt sighed.

Klaus nodded in understanding and found himself caressing the sides of his mates face.

"Does Hayley know about this? After all, she is your best friend" Klaus asked, curious.

"Yeah, she does. And trust me she wanted nothing more than to hunt down Karofsky and kick his ass for what he did to me" Kurt chuckled.

"She's not the only one" Klaus muttered.

"Get in line because the one kicking that kids ass first is me" Burt muttered.

As soon as they were let out he was going to track down that kid and beat him to a pulp.

It's what he deserves for everything he did to his son.

Klaus sighed before looking back at his mate.

"Thank you for having the courage to tell me all of this, love. I know it must've been hard" Klaus said.

"It was but, like I said, you deserve to know and it was bound to come out one way or another" Kurt shrugged.

"Still, thank you. And if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here. Always" Klaus softly said.

Kurt's eyes softened at that and he offered Klaus a small smile.

Everyone couldn't stop themselves from smiling at that.

They were happy that despite the type of person Klaus is he's always going to be there for Kurt no matter what.

Maybe he really does care for him and maybe he really does have feelings for him.

Burt couldn't help but slowly view the hybrid in a different way.

Klaus returned the gesture, removing his hands from his mates face, before a curious look appeared on his face.

"Love, who is Blaine?" Klaus asked.

"What?" Kurt asked with wide eyes.

"You mentioned his name before. And from what I've heard so far, he seems to have played an important part in your life" Klaus said.

"He used to. Now he's nothing more than a memory I desperately want to get rid of" Kurt scoffed.

Blaine flinched at that, especially at hearing the clear hatred Kurt holds for him.

He expected it, obviously, and he knows he deserves it but it doesn't hurt any less.

"He must've done something to make you this mad at him" Klaus said.

"You can say that again" Kurt muttered.

Kurt let out a sigh, running his hand down his face, before looking at Klaus.

"Blaine is my ex-boyfriend" Kurt told him.

Klaus's eyes widened at that, clearly not expecting that.

After everything he had just learned about his mates past he thought that he was single for nearly his entire life.

It shocked him, maybe even irked him, that that wasn't the case.

"Honestly, lady hummel was probably better off single" Sebastian muttered.

He's not saying that because he still has some feelings for Blaine.

No, it's the opposite.

After learning from the other warblers, word gets around quickly when it involves Blaine since he was a former warbler, that Blaine and Kurt were over he was shocked.

He was even more shocked that it was because Blaine had cheated.

He honestly never expected Blaine, of all people, to cheat on Kurt given how much he loved him.

Hell, he took a hard impact to the eyes from the slushie he had filled with rock salt to protect Kurt.

He never thought Blaine would hurt Kurt by cheating on him with some random guy simply because he was lonely.

If Blaine was willing to do something such as having sex with some random guy, while still dating Kurt, it was honestly better if they had never dated in the first place.

Kurt was probably better off single.

"He's my ex-boyfriend. Hell, he was my first boyfriend. My first love. I loved him with all my heart. He meant everything to me and I honestly saw us having a future together" Kurt explained.

"Sounds like you were serious about him" Klaus muttered.

"I was but not anymore. I broke up with him after he told me what he did while I was in New York for college and he was back home finishing highschool" Kurt said.

"Care to tell me what happened?" Klaus asked.

"The piece of shit cheated on me. That's what happened" Kurt scowled.

Klaus's eyes widened at that, clearly shocked by the revelation.

Blaine did his best to ignore the glares he was getting from literally everyone in the theater.

Hell, he was pretty sure Gertrude was glaring at him too.

"He what?" Klaus gasped.

"He cheated on me with some random guy. Why? Because he was lonely. He thought that I wasn't giving him any attention and didn't care about him and he wanted someone that would give him attention. Does he not realize that I was balancing college, my internship and our long distance relationship? Does he not realize that I too had temptations? But I never gave into them because I loved him, I remained loyal, and would never hurt him that way. Well, looks like he didn't feel the same way because he went on ahead and fucked some random guy. And what's worse is that he had the audacity to blame it on me. Me! Who the hell does he think he is?!" Kurt yelled.

"Love-" Klaus started but was cut off.

Kurt got up from the couch and grabbed a vase and tossed it across the room.

Klaus flinched a little when the vase shattered and its pieces scatted across the ground.

"I hate him! God, I hate him so much! He broke my heart when I gave him everything! He made me think that what we had was special but it was all a lie! All a fucking lie!" Kurt yelled.

Silence filled the theater room as they listened to Kurt's angry rant.

A few people couldn't help but shed a few tears while others had their jaws clench in anger.

Blaine stared at the screen with complete heartbreak in his eyes and with tears streaming down his face.

He could still feel the glares, along with the disappointed looks from the warblers, but he ignored them.

Because his only focus was on Kurt and all the anger and heartbreak he caused for him.

It was never his intention to have hurt Kurt this badly.

He never wanted that.

But he realizes that even if he didn't want this to happen it's his fault it happened in the first place.

If he had just remained loyal to Kurt, the same way Kurt did for him, if he hadn't gave into temptations and hooked up with that guy all of this could've been avoided.

He and Kurt would still be together rather than being broken up.

Kurt wouldn't have left everything and everyone behind and left to New Orleans.

But he did.

And it's all Blaine's fault.

And he's not sure what he can do to make things right.

Before he knew it tears of anger and heartbreak were streaming down his face.

Kurt stumbled backwards and nearly fell had Klaus not sped towards him and wrapped his arms around him.

Kurt turned around and wrapped his arms around Klaus and buried his face into his chest and cried into it.

Klaus didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around his mate, holding him close, and rubbed his back up and down comfortingly.

"It's alright, love. It's alright, love" Klaus whispered.

Kurt just continued crying and sobbing into the hybrids chest.

Everyone stared at Kurt onscreen with soft sad eyes, feeling sympathy for him.

"Oh, porcelain" Sue sighed, shaking her head.

Porcelain was one of her favorites, maybe her only favorite, and she cared for him deeply.

He didn't deserve to get cheated on the same way he didn't deserve to get bullied by those jerks.

He didn't deserve any of that pain but he still got it and it just wasn't fair.

She wishes she was with him, or he was with her, so she could hug him and remind him that things will eventually get better.

Klaus clenched his jaw and could feel nothing but anger course through him.

He couldn't believe this Blaine guy broke his mates heart by being unfaithful to him when his mate had been faithful to him.

He couldn't believe someone like Blaine could be so stupid to do such a thing.

God, if Klaus ever meets this Blaine guy he'll be sure to teach him a good lesson.

"I'll be sure to have my phone out and ready to record everything" Santana grinned.

"And I'll be sure to have the popcorn and drinks ready" Quinn added.

The new directions grinned at that and nodded their heads in agreement.

Suddenly, his eyes widen and a look of realization washes over his face.

He waits for his mate to calm down and when he hears his cries and sobs dying down that's when he decides to speak.

"Love, is he the reason why you don't believe me when I say I have feelings for you?" Klaus asked.

Kurt sniffled and slowly pulled away from Klaus's chest in order to look up at him.

"Is he the reason why you haven't let me kissed you? Is he the reason why you're hesitant to let me in?" Klaus asked.

Kurt sighed and slowly nodded his head to confirm that he was right.

Klaus sighed, everything making sense to him.

"Yeah, poor kid doesn't want another relationship because he's scared of getting hurt a second time" Coach Beiste sighed.

"We can't blame him after what Blaine did to him" Ms. Pillsbury reminded her.

Anyone in Kurt's position would be hesitant about getting in another relationship.

"Nik, I want to believe you when you say that you have real feelings for me. That you want us to be something more than just mates. But you have to understand that I'm scared. I'm scared that you're lying to me. I'm scared that you just want something out of me and when you have it you're just going to toss me aside like I'm some sort of trash. I mean, that's basically what Blaine did" Kurt explained.

He let out a sigh as a few more tears streamed down his face.

"The last thing I want is to give someone my love and trust only to have them stab me in the back. I don't want to be betrayed, heartbroken and humiliated again" Kurt finished.

Klaus frowned at that and could feel his heart breaking for his mate.

"I hope you're happy, Blaine" Thad sighed.

"Yeah, you made Kurt believe he's worthless. Congrats" Trent rolled his eyes.

The rest of the warblers voiced out their agreements which made Blaine look down at his shoes in guilt.

"Love" Klaus softly called out to him.

Kurt look at him just as Klaus reached out to cup his cheek while gently caressing it.

Kurt found himself leaning into his mates warm touch.

"I understand you're scared. Anyone in your position would feel the same way as you do. But, I need you to understand that everything I have told you is true. I would never lie to you. And I most certainly would never hurt you. Especially not in the way your ex-boyfriend did" Klaus told him.

He slowly reached out to cup Kurt's other cheek with his hand and gently caressed it.

"You, love, are an amazing person inside and outside. You are kind, selfless, protective and good at protecting yourself and those that you love. Anyone would be lucky to have you in their life. I know I am. You are my mate and while it took me a while to accept it, I'm glad that if I had to be mated to someone it's you. Because I can't imagine myself being mated to anyone else" Klaus softly said.

Everyone felt their hearts melt at hearing everything Klaus said to Kurt and felt smiles appearing on their faces.

The girls and Sue were trying their best not to scream with excitement.

"That's so sweet" Rachel cooed.

"I know right" Tina nodded, wiping away a small tear that managed to escape.

"Never knew someone like the hybrid could be so good with words" Santana grinned.

"I agree, sandbags" Sue nodded.

Kurt bit his lip and looked into Klaus's eyes.

"Do you mean it?" Kurt softly asked.

"Every word" Klaus nodded.

He said it with such sincerity that Kurt slowly found himself believing his mate.

Klaus smiled softly at his mate and found his eyes dipping down to his mates lips before looking back into his eyes.

Kurt caught the action but said nothing as he slowly found himself doing the same.

Suddenly, Klaus found himself leaning in.

This time, Kurt didn't move away nor did he stop him.

Instead, Kurt found himself leaning in too.

Before they knew it their lips met in a passionate and long awaited kiss.

"YES!" the girls and Sue screamed in excitement.

They immediately shot up from their seats and began jumping up and down while squealing.

Everyone jumped at their sudden outburst and looked at them with wide eyes.

But they were ignored and continued screaming and cheering.

Because it finally happened.

Klaus and Kurt finally kissed and that's all they cared about.

The kiss turned into a slight makeout session as Kurt wrapped his arms around Klaus's neck while Klaus wrapped his arms around Kurt's waist.

The two of them found themselves walking and Kurt felt his back hit the wall.

Klaus decided to spice things up by depending the kiss which resulted in Kurt letting out a loud and breathless moan.

Everyone blushed and quickly looked away to try and give the mates some sort of privacy.

Not including the girls and Sue who were still very happy.

Burt grumbled something under his breath, unsure of how to feel, while Carole giggled and patted her husbands back comfortingly.

Blaine had a scowl plastered on his face as well as a glare, his fist clenched tightly at his side.

It's bad enough that the Kurt and Klaus were kissing in the first place.

Was he really going to be forced to watch them makeout?

The kiss lasted for a minute before they pulled away in order to catch their breaths.

Both of them were panting for air with their cheeks red and their lips swollen while their chests heavied up and down.

When they calmed down their eyes met each other and silence filled the air as they stared at one another.

The silence was broken by Kurt.

"Wow" Kurt breathed out.

"Wow indeed" Klaus nodded.

A smile began to form onto the hybrids face and Kurt couldn't stop the smile from forming on his face.

Klaus leaned in to kiss him again but Kurt placed his hands onto his chest, stopping him.

"Nik, wait" Kurt said.

"What? What's wrong?" Klaus asked.

"Don't get me wrong, that kiss was magical. Something I'll definitely never forget. But I need you to understand that this doesn't make us a couple" Kurt said.

Klaus felt his eyes widened at that, shock coursing through his body.

"WHAT?!" the girls and Sue screamed with wide eyes.

Everyone jumped, again, but they had to admit that they were just as shocked and confused as they were.

Blaine stopped scowling and glaring at had his eyebrows furrowed together in confusion.

Did Kurt only kiss Klaus in the heat of the moment?

Did Kurt not want to kiss Klaus and only did it out of pity?

Did Kurt not want to get in a relationship with the hybrid even if they are mates?

Did he still have a chance to make things right and get back with Kurt?

Kurt quickly spoke so he could clarify what he meant by that.

"Nik, I do believe you about your feelings for me. And believe me when I say that I feel the same way. I really do. But, after what happened with Blaine, I'm just not ready for another relationship. Not until I'm 100% certain I have moved on from what happened in the past" Kurt explained.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before reopening them.

"I just want you to give me time. Please, that's all I ask" Kurt softly said.

Klaus stared at his mate, looking lost in thought.

A few seconds pass and Klaus lets out a sigh.

"I understand, love. Take all the time you need. I'll wait for you for as long as you need. I promise" Klaus softly said.

Kurt sighed, relief coursing through him.

The girls and Sue sighed.

They had to admit that they were upset that Klaus and Kurt weren't going to be a couple just yet.

But at the same time they understood that Kurt wasn't quite ready to get into another relationship.

Not when he's still healing from his previous one and needs time to move on from it.

And, just like Klaus, they are willing to wait for as long as he needs too.

And, at least Klaus and Kurt finally kissed.

So that was definitely better than nothing.

Blaine, on the other hand, was glaring at the screen with a glare plastered on his face.

He couldn't believe that not only have Klaus and Kurt kissed but they were going to take things slow before eventually becoming a couple.

He couldn't believe that Kurt was actually considering giving that hybrid a chance to be his boyfriend.

Maybe not right away, which is a small relief for him, but it's going to happen when Kurt is ready.

And Blaine absolutely hates it.

"Thank you for understanding, Nik" Kurt smiled.

"Of course, love" Klaus smiled.

All of a sudden Kurt found himself being pulled closer to Klaus which made him yelp in surprise.

His chest pressed up against Klaus's chest and he looked at the hybrid with wide eyes.

"However, I did enjoy our little intimacy moments ago. Do you mind if we continue?" Klaus asked, grinning.

Kurt chuckled and gave him an amused look before nodding his head.

Klaus didn't hesitate to press his lips back onto Kurt's and Kurt didn't hesitate to kiss his mate back.

As the screen turned black, indicating that the episode was over, everyone couldn't help but sigh.

So much happened today and they were honestly trying to process all of it.

And the fact that Klaus and Kurt have kissed, no more of Kurt dodging his kisses which makes things awkward for them in the aftermath, is clearly still a shock for most of them.

Especially when those two are going to take things slow before officially becoming a couple.

They were honestly wondering what the next episode was going to be like.

--------------------------------------------------------------

AHHH!!!

Well, you guys finally got what you wanted, Kurt and Klaus had their first kiss!

What did you guys think? Did it go how you expected it to go?

Also, I'm sorry if you guys were expecting them to get together.

But they aren't going to get together. Not yet at least.

Kurt still needs time and as much as he believes Klaus when he says he has feelings for him, and has finally admitted that he feels the same way, he doesn't want to rush into things.

These two were meant to be a bit of a slow burn.

But I promise that when the time comes for those two to make it official, you guys are going to be very happy.

With that being said, I'll see you guys in the next chapter.

Have a good day! Bye!
