Chapter Nineteen: The Big Uneasy

Nobody's Pov

As everyone settles down the next episode begins to play.

The screen turns on and the camera pans into Klaus and Kurt's bedroom.

The camera pans over to the bed where we see Kurt, his body being covered by the sheets, sleeping peacefully.

Kurt slowly begins to stir, indicating that he's waking up, and immediately reaches out for Klaus but frowns when he can't feel him.

"Nik?" Kurt groggily calls out for him.

When his vision clears up he looks around and sees that his mate dressed in a red long sleeve shirt and black jeans.

Not only that but he's currently painting a portrait of him.

"Oh my god, that's so romantic" Quinn gushed.

"Agreed" the girls said in unison, smiles plastered on all their faces.

Sue didn't say anything but she did have a small smile on her face.

Everyone else either laughed or just smiled.

Blaine, on the other hand, rolled his eyes while trying to hold in a scoff.

He doesn't find anything romantic about what Klaus is doing.

If anything it's creepy that he's painting Kurt while he sleeps rather than painting him while he's awake and able to consent.

He doubts Kurt would like it.

"Good morning, love" Klaus smiled.

"Good morning. When did you wake up?" Kurt asked.

"A few hours ago" Klaus replied.

"I'm surprised you're up early. After the party I thought you would sleep in" Kurt said.

"Yes, well, morning sun offers the best light" Klaus told him.

Kurt goes to move but Klaus is quick to stop him.

"Hold still, love. I'm almost finished" Klaus said.

Kurt laughs but stays still and watches his mate finish up with his painting.

"Never in my life has anyone painted a portrait of me while I was asleep. Or at all" Kurt said.

"I don't know why because, believe me, you're mesmerizing" Klaus compliments.

Kurt blushed at that, not used to receiving compliments like that.

The girls and Sue squealed at the interaction between the mates, especially with Klaus complimenting Kurt.

They were seriously going to die because of how cute they are.

Blaine was dumbfounded that Kurt was fine with what Klaus was doing and not weirded out.

His jaw clenched before he let out a small scoff and crossed his arms over his chest.

"Is it weird of me to be jealous of them?" Trent asked his friends.

"No because trust me I'm jealous too" Nick reassured him.

Klaus and Kurt were cute and they aren't even together but act like a couple.

"And is it weird that I want someone to paint me while I'm asleep" Trent whispered.

"Nope. Because I want Jeff to do the same" Nick whispered.

He was definitely going to ask, as discreetly as he can, his boyfriend to do that for them.

Unaware that his boyfriend was planning on taking art classes to learn how to paint.

Klaus grinned, catching his mate blushing, before putting his paint down once he was finished.

Kurt sits up on the bed, stretching his arms, before removing the sheets from his body. He gets up out of bed and goes to look at the painting.

However, Klaus is quick to grab the painting and put it somewhere where his mate can't see it.

"Seriously, you're not going to let me see?" Kurt asked, pouting.

"The painting is a gift and I want it to be a surprise" Klaus told him.

"A gift? For what?" Kurt asked, confused.

Klaus moves closer to him and wraps his arms around his waist.

"For being there for me despite everything. For making me happy when I thought I was incapable of having any sort of happiness in my life. For realizing that my feelings for you are real and for giving me a chance to show you that it is you that I want and nobody else" Klaus softly smiled.

Kurt's eyes softened at that, his heart fluttering, and a smile appears on his face.

Everyone's eyes softened at Klaus's words and couldn't stop the smiles from appearing on their faces.

They could tell he was genuine because it's clear how happy he is with Kurt by his side.

Burt felt his eyes soften, just a little and a small smile appeared on his face.

He honestly still had his opinions and doubts towards Klaus.

And he still thinks that he's not good enough for his boy.

But...

The way Kurt looks at him, the way Kurt likes being with him, is enough for him to know that his son is happy.

And the look in Kurt's eyes is a look he never saw before.

Not even when he was with Blaine.

Maybe the original hybrid was just what his son needed in his life.

Especially after what happened with Blaine.

Speaking of Blaine...

He was currently glaring at Klaus with his jaw clenched, his eyes showing nothing but anger and jealousy.

He seriously doesn't understand how someone like Klaus could get someone like Kurt.

He knows they aren't together, which is a relief, but it's clear that Kurt really likes Klaus.

It's clear that Kurt will slowly move on from him, from them, and get with Klaus.

Which is something he doesn't want happening. Ever.

Meanwhile, the girls were holding onto each other while trying to stop themselves from squealing.

"Is it weird that I want them to get married?" Tina asked.

The girls laughed, amused, but nodded their heads in agreement.

They all loved seeing Klaus and Kurt together, especially when it's clear that they make each other happy, and honestly would love for them to get married.

But they knew that would have to wait until much later.

They knew it's too early for the mates to think about marriage.

First they have to officially become a couple before becoming husbands.

Kurt wraps his arms around Klaus's neck neck while Klaus moves his hands to rest on Kurt's hips.

The two of them smile at each other and lean in and kiss each other on the lips.

The kiss lasts for a few seconds before the mates pull away and press their foreheads together.

"I'm always going to be there for you, Nik. No matter what I'm not going anywhere. And, of course, thank you for being patient and waiting for me to move on from my ex-boyfriend so that we can officially become a couple" Kurt softly said.

"Anything for you, love" Klaus softly said.

The mates smile at each other before kissing each other again.

"Do we really have to see them being like this?" Blaine asked, scowling.

He seriously hated seeing his ex-boyfriend and his mate, that happened to be the original hybrid, be affectionate to one another.

He's already had to see that in a few previous episodes he doesn't want to see anymore.

"Shut up, hobbit, and just watch" Santana rolled her eyes.

She was getting really, really, annoyed with the Anderson boy and she knows she's not the only one.

She wishes that Gertrude would do some sort of spell that would prevent Blaine from speaking.

He seems to always have something to say and it's irritating and she just wants him to shut up.

The scene changes to the courtyard where we hear tons of noise and see Elijah having some workers renovating the place.

The camera pans towards the balconies where we see Klaus and Kurt walking out of their room.

Klaus stops, prompting Kurt to stop, and he looks over the balcony.

"Enough with all the racket!" Klaus yelled, clearly annoyed.

Elijah sighs and looks up at his brother.

"Is there a problem, brother?" Elijah asked, raising an eyebrow.

Elijah turns to the workers and says, "gentlemen, please".

The workers nod and they are quick to leave while Klaus and Holden walk downstairs.

"Good morning, Kurt. I hope you had a good nights rest" Elijah said.

"Good morning, Elijah. And yes I did have a good nights rest" Kurt smiled, glancing at his mate.

Klaus smiled at his mate before sliding his hand into his and held it firmly.

The girls and Sue smiled and quietly squealed.

Blaine huffed and rolled his eyes.

Klaus then looked back at his brother and his annoyed expression returned.

"I agreed to a general sprucing up, not a bloody three-ring circus" Klaus said.

"Marcel and his minions abused our home for the better part of a century. Now, you might be content to live in squalor. I'm not" Elijah told him.

"I agree with your brother" Genevieve says.

The three men turn around to see the redhead witch walking towards them.

At seeing the familiar redhead witch from the last episode, and from what Gertrude told them, everyone grew wary.

"What the hell is she doing there?" Santana asked, narrowing her eyes at the witch.

"Looks like we'll find out" Rachel shrugged.

None of them wanted that redhead witch to be there but they had to admit they were curious about her presence.

The three of them are confused as to why she's here but Genevieve continues.

"It's a new era in the French Quarter. This place could use a makeover" Genevieve smiled.

Kurt rolled his eyes as he and Klaus walk over to where the drinks are located.

"Careful, Elijah. When this one agrees with you, it's a sure sign she wants something" Klaus told his brother.

Elijah sighed in annoyance as Genevieve walks over to him.

"Actually, I do have a request. I'm told our coven hasn't been able to celebrate feast days in the open since Marcel restricted the use of magic. Now with the new peace, I'd like that to change" Genevieve explained.

"Am I to assume that you have a certain feast day in mind?" Eljiah asked, raising an eyebrow.

"La Fête des Bénêdictions" Genevieve smiled.

"Uh, what did she say?" Finn asked, confused.

"It means feast of the blessings" Sebastian answered.

This made everyone, including the warblers, look at him with confusion on their faces and raised eyebrow.

"What? My family is rich and I had tutors teach me so I could understand and speak different languages" Sebastian shrugged.

He was never really interested in learning other languages but it's something his father made him do.

Honestly, now that he thinks about it, it's probably a good thing he learned different languages.

Especially when it could be useful to him.

"Feast of the Blessings. In the past, members of the community offered witches gifts in exchange for blessings. We'd like to use it as a forum for introducing our young Harvest girls to society" Genevieve explained.

"This bitch really came here to ask for a party" Kurt muttered.

Klaus, who was drinking a glass of whiskey, snorted in amusement at his words.

Everyone laughed loudly at Kurt's words while shaking their heads in amusement.

Burt wanted to reprimand his son for his choice of words but couldn't bring himself to do so.

Not when he too was laughing in amusement.

"So your coven attempted to destroy my family, and you yourself held my siblings in unspeakable torment, and you would like a party for the witches?" Elijah asked.

Klaus chuckled causing Genevieve to turn her head to look at him.

"I've made my amends with your brother" Genevieve said.

Klaus rolled his eyes while Kurt narrows his eyes at the redhead witch, especially seeing the look she was giving his mate.

Genevieve turns to him and glares causing Kurt to glare back at her before wrapping an arm around Klaus's waist.

Laughs were heard in the theater at seeing Kurt's actions.

The ones that were the most satisfied were the girls and Sue.

Hopefully that would show that witch bitch that Klaus was taken and would never go for someone like her.

Klaus wraps his arm around Kurt's shoulders and leans down to kiss his head.

Genevieve rolled her eyes before turning back to Elijah.

"Why don't you think it over?" Genevieve suggested.

With that she turned around and left.

Elijah turns to Klaus and gives him a look causing Klaus to set his glass down before he and Kurt walk closer to Elijah.

"Oh, don't be such a stiff, Elijah. The tourists love a good festival. Besides, what better way to cement the solidarity than a show of faith toward a one-time enemy?" Klaus asked.

"A onetime enemy with whom you've grown rather nauseatingly close with" Elijah said.

"That better mean they are just friends or they tolerate each other" Sue scowled.

She won't have that redhead witch, or anyone else for that matter, getting in between Klaus and Kurt.

Not when porcelain is happy with the hybrid.

Not when they are close, she can feel it, to becoming an actual couple.

"She's a mere ally, nothing more and nothing less" Klaus reminded him.

"One would think you'd be a little more interested in attending to the needs of the mother of your child" Elijah said.

"So, she's the reason behind this oh-so-thoughtful renovation? Elijah, the truth is, the mother of my child is werewolf royalty. Hayley is far safer in the bayou with her pack than she would ever be here with us" Klaus explained.

"Speaking of Hayley, I'm going to head out to see her. I'll be back later" Kurt said.

He kissed Klaus on the cheek and waved at Elijah before leaving the compound.

Klaus watched his mate go with a smile on his face and Elijah moved to stand next to his brother.

"You seem happy, brother" Elijah pointed out.

"I am. Kurt, he makes me happy" Klaus nodded.

Everyone couldn't stop themselves from smiling at that.

They were happy that Kurt made Klaus happy and they were happy that Klaus made Kurt happy.

All except Blaine, as expected, but we ignore him most of the time.

Elijah hummed at that as he placed a hand on his brothers shoulder.

"I'm happy you're happy, brother" Elijah smiled.

Klaus offered his brother a small smile before clearing his throat and changed the subject.

"Don't worry. I'll bring Hayley home before the birth. No child of mine will be born in a swamp" Klaus told his brother.

With that he turned around and left.

The scene changes to the bayou and the camera pans over to the small house.

We see Hayley and Kurt standing together, cups of teas in their hands, while Eve stood near them.

The camera pans over to a bunch of people, that are werewolves too, that have shown up in the bayou and flooded the encampments.

Everyone's eyes widened at seeing that many people in the bayou.

They were curious as to who they are and why they're in the bayou in the first place.

"You've gotta be kidding me. Seriously, what is going on? Who are all these people?" Hayley asked.

"Yeah, why are they standing out here all weird and lurky?" Kurt asked.

"They've come from all over. All the packs" Eve told them.

"Why? To see a baby that isn't even born yet?" Hayley asked.

The door to the small house opens and Oliver walks out and looked at Hayley.

"Forget the baby. These freaks, they come here to see you two. You know, given the place your parents held in pack hierarchy, maybe they think you two are gonna be the long-lost werewolf messiah or something" Oliver explained.

"Great. No pressure or anything" Hayley sarcastically smiled.

Kurt chuckled in amusement at her words before patting her back.

Everyone chuckled in amusement at their words.

Carole, on the other hand, frowned a little and couldn't help but feel bad for Hayley.

She knew that while Hayley was happy to learn about her family, and be with her pack, she knows that it's still overwhelming for her.

Especially when everyone seems to be expecting alot from her.

It's definitely not something she expected to happen and it's clear that she might need some guidance.

At least Kurt was with her to back her up and be there for her.

But Carole wished that she was there to help Hayley as best as she could.

The same way she wished that she had met Hayley earlier to give her a home.

It was better than her having to be on her own, survive on her own, with nobody to guide her.

The scene changes and we see Hayley, Kurt, Jackson, Oliver and Elijah near the docks.

"Your people are uniquely poised to set an example for the rest of the French Quarter. Which is why it's important for the wolves to attend" Elijah explained.

Jackson and Oliver look like they're considering it while Hayley and Kurt are against it.

"Thanks, but no thanks" Hayley shook her head.

"Let's hear the man out" Oliver sighed.

"The witches are the ones that cursed your pack. And they've been nothing but crap to my best friend and I since we first came to town" Hayley scowled.

Kurt nodded his head in agreement and watches as his best friend looks at Elijah.

"No. We're not going" Hayley told him.

"Meh, can't really blame her for not wanting to go" Thad shrugged.

Hayley did have a point because those witches have done nothing but treat her and Kurt like crap.

"I don't either but something tells me it's not entirely up to her" Sebastian added.

He too understands why Hayley, along with Kurt, wouldn't want to go.

But he also understands she's not the only one that can make decisions especially when involving the werewolves.

"It's a new day in the quarter, Hayley. I agree with Oliver. If we're gonna coexist, we have to play ball" Jackson told her.

Hayley and Kurt frowned at him while Elijah looks at him with a raised eyebrow.

"We'll send a representative with a gift" Jackson tells Elijah.

Elijah says nothing and just nods his head.

Hayley scoffed in disbelief and turns to walk away with Kurt following after her.

The best friend duo are walking in silence when Elijah catches up to them and, after making sure Jackson and Oliver aren't listening, talks to them.

"That was too easy. Don't trust him. Don't trust any of them" Elijah whispered.

Hayley and Kurt frowned but take Elijah's words into consideration.

They know that Jackson doesn't like vampires or witches.

But the fact that he easily agreed to go was quite suspicious.

Everyone frowned at that and glanced at each other, silently agreeing with Elijah.

They know how Jackson feelings towards vampires and witches.

It was quite suspicious that Jackson agreed this easily to go to a party that involves the witches.

Especially when, as Hayley mentioned, the witches cursed the werewolves to stay in wolf form until the full moon.

"What is he up to?" Santana muttered.

She knows it's what everyone wanted to know.

The scene changes and we see Hayley and Kurt walking out of the shack.

However, Jackson and Oliver immediately stop the conversation they were having the second they stepped out of the shack.

Kurt raised an eyebrow at the two of them while Hayley let out a laugh.

"What is this? High School?" Hayley asked, amused.

"Yeah, what were you two talking about?" Kurt asked.

"Why don't you two take the hint and mind your own business?" Oliver scoffed.

Oliver goes to leave but Kurt is quick to punch him in the face before kneeing him in the balls.

Oliver yells out pain and stumbled backwards but Hayley catches him. She grabs his arm and twists it behind his back before spinning him around and pins him up against the wall face-first.

Everyone would be lying if they said they didn't cheer when they saw the best friend duo attack Oliver.

Oliver was getting on all of their nerves and it's clear to say that every single one of them hated him.

Especially with the way he treats Hayley and Kurt.

They were glad to see Hayley and Kurt finally snap and give him what he deserves.

"That's my boy" Burt muttered, a proud grin on his face.

He would never get tired of seeing his son stand up for himself and fight against the ones that were rude to him.

Carole nodded with a grin of her own on her face.

Not only was she proud of Kurt but she was proud of Hayley.

She knew how tough Hayley was and was glad that despite the fact that Oliver was part of the pack, her pack, she wouldn't let him be rude to her.

Jackson's eyes widened, he was shocked but there was a hint of amusement in his eyes.

"This is my pack. That makes it my business" Hayley told Oliver.

"This is my business too since I'm involved in all of this, asshole" Kurt added.

"No need to get all riled up. It's not good for you, Hayley" Jackson said.

"My best friend and I have tried to play nice" Hayley told him.

She twists Oliver's arm harder causing him to cry out in pain.

"But screw playing nice because this dipshit is getting on our last nerves" Kurt scowled.

"The last month of pregnancy is all hormones and mood swings, so unless you want me to snap your arm like a twig, I suggest that you tell my best friend and I what is going on" Hayley demanded.

"He better listen to her. An angry pregnant woman is scary" Burt chuckled.

He remembers how scary Elizabeth was when she was pregnant with their son.

He had to admit that while he wasn't scared of anything he was scared of his wife when she was pregnant.

Not to mention when she was in labor.

Carole giggled and nodded her head in agreement.

She remembered how much she scared Christopher during her pregnancy.

But, then again, any pregnant woman is scary to deal with since they are the ones that have to deal with what comes with it.

Especially the pain they deal with when they're giving birth.

"You and your best friend can go to tell" Oliver scowled.

"Knock it off. There's no reason to keep it from them" Jackson sternly said.

"I can think of two reasons. Tall and immortal and wears a pocket scarf and an original hybrid" Oliver said.

Oliver tried fighting against Hayley but she forcefully pins him back down.

"Hayley, you're one of us. Kurt is also involved in this since the day you two came to New Orleans. You both deserve to know. Now, go on" Jackson calmly said.

Hayley and Kurt look at each other before Hayley reluctantly lets go of Oliver.

Oliver groans, leaning back against the wall while clutching his arm, while Hayley and Kurt turn to Jackson.

"We made an alliance that's gonna change everything for the wolves" Jackson told them.

"An alliance with who?" Hayley asked, curious.

"Klaus" Jackson said.

Hayley and Kurt's eyes widen at that.

Kurt was the most shocked since he hadn't known about Klaus making an alliance with the werewolves.

"Tell us everything" Kurt demanded.

Everyone wasn't sure if they should be surprised at the fact that Klaus made an alliance with the werewolves.

They believed it was something he would do since having allies is better than having enemies.

But they were surprised that he hadn't told Kurt, his mate, about it.

The scene changes to later in the day and it's the time of the party.

The camera pans over to Hayley and Kurt as the two of them hold gifts in their hands.

Hayley is wearing a black dress and a black coat while Kurt is wearing a white button up shirt, black pants and black shoes.

Wolf whistles were heard in the theater at seeing how Hayley and Kurt were dressed.

"They are looking fine as hell" Sam grinned.

"Yes they are" Puck nodded.

A few people had to admit that they were quite jealous of how good the best friend duo looked.

They also had to admit that most of the people in New Orleans, the ones that they know of so far, are good looking.

Blaine let out a hum as he scanned Kurt up and down with a look of lust in his eyes.

No matter what he wore Kurt always pulled off his outfits and looked really good.

The two of them go to enter but stop when Elijah approaches them.

"Kurt, good to see you. Niklaus will be happy to see you've come" Elijah smiled.

"Is he here?" Kurt asked.

"Not yet but I'm sure he will be" Elijah said.

Kurt nodded and watched as Elijah looked at Hayley.

"Strange. I thought you'd be in the company of your colorful friends" Elijah said, referring to the other werewolves.

"Oh. You asked for a representative for the werewolves, so here I am" Hayley said.

"I'm here as a representative for the humans" Kurt added.

"So, take us or leave us" Hayley finished.

Elijah smiled and holds out his arm which Hayley reluctantly takes. They enter the party with Kurt following behind them.

The camera pans inside and we see everyone walking around, talking with the harvest girls or drinking.

Hayley and Kurt are talking with each other while Elijah was talking to a few people.

The girls and Sue frowned, wondering where Klaus was and why he wasn't with Kurt.

Hopefully he was just busy with a few things but would arrive soon and be with his mate.

Honestly, all they really wanted to see was more interactions between the two of them.

The camera pans over to Genevieve and we see her clicking her glass to gain everyone's attention.

Once all eyes are on her and silence has filled the room Genevieve begins to speak.

"Welcome. As is our time-honored tradition, you are all welcome to deliver your offerings. It is our custom that no one should be turned away, no blessing be denied" Genevieve smiled.

Genevieve moves away from the harvest girls as the three of them take their seats.

The camera pans over to the guests to see them lining up to bring their offerings to the harvest girls.

Hayley is the first one to go up and she walks over to Davina with a smile on her face.

However, just as she's about to give her gift to her, she is stopped by an attendant.

Kurt frowned as he watched the attendant tell something to his best friend causing Hayley to frown before, reluctantly, moving to Monique and sets her gift down for her.

Kurt watches as the next guest, Francesca, give her gift to Abigail and when she walks away Diego walks over to Monique and sets his gift down for her.

Monique and Abigail smiled at the gifts they receive while Davina sits there confused and upset.

Everyone was confused and upset as to why Davina was being ignored and not getting any gifts.

Why were the other two harvest girls getting attention and gifts but not Davina?

"What the hell is going on?" Quinn asked.

"Yeah, are those idiots blind or something?" Santana asked.

"To put it short, Monique is a jealous and spoiled brat that wants all the attention for herself. She and Genevieve came up with a plan to teach Davina a lesson and made sure all the guests ignored her" Gertrude explained.

Everyone wasn't shocked by the revelation.

If anything they felt nothing but anger coursing through them.

They couldn't believe that Monique, someone that is supposed to be Davina's friend, would do something like that.

And they couldn't believe that Genevieve allowed it.

"Bitches" Sue scoffed.

"Can't believe I'm saying this but I agree" Mr. Schue sighed.

He had to admit that those two witches were, as Sue said, bitches.

Kurt scowled at the other two harvest girls getting gifts while Davina had none especially with everyone ignoring her.

When a guest, after handing their gift to Monique, walked away Kurt doesn't hesitate to walk forward and make his way to Davina.

The attendant walked to Kurt and attempts send him to the direction of the other girls but Kurt turns to glare at her.

"Either step aside or have your neck snapped. Your choice" Kurt warned.

The attendant gulps and steps away causing Kurt to smile and continue his way to Davina.

Everyone smirked or laughed in satisfaction at Kurt's threat.

They were glad that he wasn't going to give his gift to Monique or Abigail and was going to give it to Davina.

After all, she deserves it just as much as those other two girls.

Davina looks up and her eyes widen when she sees Kurt.

"Kurt, you came" Davina breathed out.

"Hey, sweetie. Long time no see" Kurt smiled.

Davina smiled back at him and accepted the gift he held out for her.

She removes the lid from the box and when she looked inside her eyes widen at what Kurt got for her.

Everyone's eyes widened at the charm bracelet and couldn't help but admire its beauty.

"Woah" Rachel breathed out.

"That's really pretty" Tina smiled.

Mike glanced at his ex-girlfriend, noticing how much he liked the necklace, and made a mental note to get him something similar.

He knows that while they aren't together anymore he does still have feelings for her.

He wants her back, he knows that, but it's going to be challenging.

But it doesn't matter because he'll do whatever he has to in order to get her back.

"Kurt, it's beautiful" Davina smiled.

"Glad you like it. This thing was expensive" Kurt said.

"How expensive?" Davina asked, curious.

"Just know that I didn't have to pay for it. Not when your mate has compulsion and I was able to get it for free" Kurt grinned.

Everyone knew that there's no way that Kurt had a job considering with what he has to deal with everyday.

He also wasn't in college considering he basically dropped out when he left New York.

Which is why they too wondered how he was able to get something for Davina when he didn't have money.

But hearing that explanation from him it all made sense.

"Oh man, he's so lucky for that" Santana groaned.

"I know right" Quinn nodded, crossing her arms over her chest.

The rest of the girls voiced out their agreements.

It would be so cool to get whatever they wanted without having to pay and compulsion would be the best route.

Davina giggled before placing the lid back on.

Kurt glanced at the other two harvest girls before looking at Davina and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Don't let those bitches get to you. Especially Monique. They're just jealous" Kurt said.

Davina smiled before embracing Kurt in a hug. Kurt doesn't hesitate to hug her back.

Everyone couldn't stop the smiles from appearing on their faces at seeing Kurt and Davina hug.

They could tell that those two will have a great friendship.

Especially since it's clear that Kurt cares about her.

Especially with how he reacted when Sophie revealed that Davina had to die in order for the harvest to be completed.

They break away from the hug and Kurt walked away.

He made his way over to a table where there were some glass of champagne and grabbed himself a glass.

As he started gulping it down he noticed Klaus walking towards the stairs.

But what catches his attention is the fact that his mate is gripping Josh by the neck and Josh is clearly in pain.

"Oh no" Kurt muttered, worried.

Everyone's eyes widened at seeing Klaus and Josh and the angry look on the hybrids face.

"Oh please tell me he's not going to kill him" Thad muttered.

"He better not. Josh is my favorite so far" Sebastian muttered, worried.

He really likes Josh, he was kind and funny, and he doesn't want to see him die by Klaus's hands.

Kurt runs over to their direction and Klaus looks at him when he approaches.

"Hello, love. Glad to see you did show up" Klaus smiled.

"Nik, what are you doing?" Kurt asked, gesturing to Josh.

Klaus says nothing just as Davina runs into the room with a panicked look on her face.

"Josh!" Davina yelled.

Klaus shoved Josh forward causing Kurt to catch him and steady him.

Kurt, Josh and Davina watch as Klaus goes onto the steps of the stairs and faces the audience.

"Ladies and gentlemen, may I have your attention, please. We are gathered here today to pay homage to our beloved witches, but one very special witch has been utterly ignored. That seems a little unfair to me" Klaus said.

He turns to Davina and pulls out a small box and holds it out for her.

Davina stares at the box before looking at the hybrid.

"No. I don't want your gift" Davina shook her head.

Everyone in the theater couldn't stop themselves from laughing.

"As she should" Blaine smiled in amusement.

He really doesn't know why Klaus would try playing nice with Davina when it's clear she hates him.

Klaus sighs, a little annoyed, but nods his head.

"I understand why you would reject me, given our past. In truth, many of us here today have been wronged in the conflict which my brother's treaty ended. Your friend Josh was involved in a plot to kill me. It would be well within my right to execute him here and now. But, in the spirit of solidarity, and for your favor, Davina, I hereby pardon him" Klaus announced.

He looks at Josh and says, "Josh from this day forward, you have nothing to fear from me".

Josh's eyes widened at that and Klaus looks at Davina and holds the box out for her again.

"Please" Klaus said.

Davina stares at him for a while before letting out a sigh and accepts his gift.

Klaus offers her a small smile before walking down the stairs and makes his way to his mate.

Sighs of relief were heard in the theater and a few people leaned back against their seats.

Everyone was relieved that Klaus didn't kill Josh but they were also confused.

Why did he decide to spare him?

And what exactly did he give Davina as his gift?

"What did you give her?" Kurt asked, curious.

"A ring and a paper that contains a spell" Klaus said.

He wraps an arm around Kurt's waist and the two of them walk while everyone else continues with the party.

"And what spell is that?" Kurt asked, raising an eyebrow at him.

"A spell to make daylight rings" Klaus revealed.

Kurt's eyes widen at that and realization courses through him.

It didn't take long for everyone to put the pieces together and their reactions were the same as Kurt.

Klaus had given Davina a ring and the spell to make a daylight ring.

A daylight ring for Josh.

Not only has Josh been spared but he's earned himself a daylight ring.

Which means he can walk freely in the daytime, in the sun, with that ring.

And everyone is pretty sure that is a complete wish come true for him since he wants nothing than to walk around in daylight again.

All of a sudden the two of them make their way towards Hayley who had been walking around.

Klaus used his other arm to wrap it around her shoulders.

"I hear you and and my mate, your best friend, made quite an impression with the wolves. My arrangement with them was supposed to be a secret, and yet you two forced it out of them" Klaus commented.

"We wouldn't have had to if you told us. Or, at the very least, told me" Kurt pointed out.

"Agreed. Last I checked, mates tell each other everything" Hayley added.

Everyone nodded.

Klaus and Kurt might not be officially together but they are still mates and mates tell each other everything.

Klaus frowned and shoots his mate an apologetic look before clearing his throat.

"It's very bold. As was your decision to represent them here today, on your own. I trust you'll do nothing to harm our cause" Klaus said.

"Are you really gonna go behind Elijah's back?" Hayley asked.

"Come on. What difference does it make to you as long as your people benefit?" Klaus asked.

"How about the fact that once your brother finds out he's going to go insane?" Puck scoffed.

"I wouldn't be surprised if Elijah turned the tables and daggered Klaus" Finn added.

What Klaus is doing behind Elijah's back will backfire on him.

When Elijah finds out, if he ever does that is, he's not going to have the best reaction.

Hayley glared at him and jabbed a finger into his chest.

"If I find out that you are playing some game, trying to manipulate us for one of your schemes-" Hayley started but was cut off.

"You know, you've come a long way, little wolf. I knew you were tough, I knew you were cunning, but I never knew you were a queen" Klaus smirked.

Hayley scoffed and told her best friend she was going to look for Elijah before walking away.

Once the lovers were alone Kurt turned to glare at Klaus causing the hybrid to wince.

"Oh yeah, he's in trouble" Carole giggled.

He knows that type of a glare since it's the same glare she would give Burt when she was angry.

Which was rare since she's never one to get angry but when she does she's, apparently, scary.

And she wonders if Klaus will be able to get himself out of that mess or not.

"Come on, love. You can't be mad at me" Klaus sighed.

"Yes, I can" Kurt argued.

"I was going to tell you. I promise I was. I just wanted to make sure that the wolves were still in agreement with this alliance, that none of them would betray me, before telling you anything" Klaus explained.

Kurt looked at his mate and he could tell he was telling the truth.

But he was still upset with him for not telling him right away.

Klaus steps closer to him and rests his hands onto his hips.

"Tell me, love, what can I do to make it up to you?" Klaus asked.

Kurt sighed before wrapping his arms around Klaus's neck.

"Why don't you and I ditch this party and go somewhere else? Just you and me" Kurt suggested.

Klaus let a smile appear on his face and he nodded his head.

The girls and Sue smiled at that while letting out squeals.

Blaine scoffed and rolled his eyes.

All of a sudden they hear something nearby.

Confused, they turn around to see a large group of drummers descending down the main staircases, banging their instruments to gain everyone's attention.

Klaus and Kurt glanced at each other before looking back at the men as they halted their movements after some minutes.

"Happy Fête des Bénédictions. We have a message for all of you from Marcel Gerard" the lead drummer told everyone.

The crowd frowns and a few people begin whispering to each other, wondering what was going to happen.

All of the drummers take out straight razors and slice their wrists open, bleeding all over the floor. The vampires in the room start to get antsy and vamp-out once they smell the blood.

Everyone's eyes widened at seeing the looks on the vampires faces.

They knew that meant they were hungry the second they smelt the blood.

They knew that meant it wouldn't be long before they started attacking people and, definitely, killing them.

"Oh no, no, no" Nick muttered.

"This is bad. This is really bad" Jeff muttered.

The crowd begins to tense up, some beginning to look for a way out, as they glanced worriedly at the vampires.

"Nik" Kurt muttered, worried.

Klaus says nothing, just clenches his jaw while staying near his mate at all times.

Elijah immediately steps in, attempting to calm down the vampires.

"Control yourselves. This is a vulgar trick. We do not violate our agreement" Elijah sternly said.

"Does he seriously think he can talk them out of feeding on people?" Mr. Schue asked in disbelief.

"Yes, he does" Ms. Pillsbury nodded, shaking his head.

"Forget that! Did everyone forget that Hayley, who might I add is pregnant, is there and in even more danger than anyone else?!" Carole shrieked.

This made everyone's eyes widen in realization and horror.

Carole was right.

Hayley was still in the building and, given the disaster that's going to happen, could be hurt or worse.

The lights suddenly go out and it's not long before the vampires start feeding on the drummers and the other people at the party.

Screams of horror are heard from everyone as they try running out of the building in order to save themselves.

Genevieve and another witch run to the harvest girls and usher them out of the building to get them somewhere safe.

"Hayley! Where are you?! Hayley!" Kurt yelled.

He began running, trying to search for his best friend, and ignored Klaus yelling at him to come back.

Kurt stopped when he hears someone coming up from behind him. He spins around and grips the vampire by their face and snaps their neck and hears them fall to the ground with a loud thud.

Another vampire lunges at him but Kurt quickly sweeps their legs from underneath and they fall to the ground. Kurt crouches down and quickly snaps their neck.

Another vampire lunges at him but Kurt grabbed their arm and flipped them over his shoulder.

When the vampire hits the ground Kurt hurriedly takes the stake out of his pocket and stabs it into the vampires heart which killed them instantly.

Cheers and claps were heard in theater at seeing Kurt fight against those vampires.

Burt couldn't stop the pride from building up inside of him as well as the small smile from appearing on his face.

He was glad that his son has turned into an amazing fighter and was protecting himself.

After all, it's important to be an amazing, skilled, fighter.

Especially in a place like New Orleans.

He always knew how dangerous life was in many places around the world.

And given everything he's learned since being brought here he knew that the supernatural is the #1 dangerous life.

Unfortunately, for Kurt, his son, the supernatural is the main one.

All of a sudden the lights turn back on and the screams have died down a bit.

Kurt stands up and looks around and sees tons of dead bodies lying on the ground while tons of other people are injured.

Kurt feels a hand on his shoulder and he spins around, ready to strike at the person, but stops when he sees that it's Klaus.

Kurt breathes out a sigh of relief and wraps his arm around his mate. Klaus doesn't hesitate to hug him back.

"I've got you, love. I've got you" Klaus soothes him.

The girls and Sue smiled at the mates being wrapped in each others arms.

They were happy that the chaos has ended and Kurt is safe in Klaus's arms.

Yes, they're aware that he's capable of taking care of himself, but it doesn't hurt to want to feel safe.

Especially in the arms of his mate.

After Kurt calmed down he pulled away from Klaus and begins searching for his best friend.

He finally spots Hayley and sees her wrapped in Elijah's arms, shaking with fear, as he soothes her.

"Hayley!" Kurt yelled.

He sprinted towards her and Hayley pulled away from Elijah and wrapped her arms around Kurt once he reached her.

"You're ok, you're ok, you're ok" Kurt chanted over and over.

"I'm ok, I'm ok" Hayley nodded.

The two best friends hugged each other tightly with the intent of not letting go.

Everyone smiled softly at Hayley and Kurt.

They knew how scary it must've been for them during the chaos that happened.

Not only that but they must've been scared that one of them had been hurt or worse.

They're just glad that neither of them were hurt and that they were still alive.

Kurt looked around the place before stopping at a message written in blood on the wall.

THERE WILL BE NO PEACE

Kurt gritted his teeth, cursing Marcel inside his head, and just continued hugging his best friend.

"I do hope Marcel suffers the consequences for what he did" Carole muttered.

Marcel made a big mistake for going against the originals.

He basically signed his own death and she, along with everyone else, wonder if he will survive what's going to come.

Klaus, never taking his eyes off the message, walked over to the best friend duo and stood behind Kurt while resting a hand on his shoulder.

Kurt glanced at his mate before looking back at his best friend as he rested his head on top of hers.

As the screen turns black, indicating that the episode was over, everyone sighed and leaned back against their seats.

They honestly thought that today's episode was going to be less tense, especially with the new peace.

But it looks like they were wrong after everything that happened.

And now they were wondering what's going to happen now.

Would there still be peace?

Or has that peace been destroyed because of what Marcel had pulled?

And if so, is a war going to happen?
