Chapter Four: Tangled Up In Blue

Nobody's Pov

As everyone settled down the next episode resumed.

The screen turns on and the camera pans inside the house. The camera pans over to Kurt who's currently walking around the house while looking around.

"Hales, where are you?" Kurt called out to his best friend but frowned when he didn't get a response.

He continued walking around the house, trying to find Hayley but still couldn't. He wondered where she was.

Everyone raised their eyebrows at that, wondering where Hayley was and why Kurt couldn't find her.

"Did she leave by any chance?" Puck asked.

"It's possible. If she did, I don't blame her" Sam shrugged.

He would've left a long time ago. He would rather be out in the streets rather than live in the same house with an asshole hybrid.

Blaine frowned and asked, "if she did leave why would she leave alone and not take Kurt with her?"

Sue rolled her eyes at the three of them and slapped them each of them upside their head.

The three of them yelped in surprise and winced in pain as they looked at the woman.

"Idiots, there's no way the wolf girl would leave porcelain. The witch lady told us that they're best friends, practically brother and sister, meaning there's no way they would ever leave each other behind" Sue said.

She may not know Hayley that well but she can tell she cares for Kurt so much.

There's no way she would just leave him behind, especially not with the hybrid after what he had done.

Kurt walked into the foyer and stopped in his tracks when he saw Klaus and Rebekah there, seemingly in the middle of a conversation.

"I cannot believe you disposed of those vampires without me. You know how I love to set things on fire" Rebekah pouted.

"Was I supposed to leave them in the front yard to rot?" Klaus asked.

"Yes!" everyone yelled.

"After they tried attacking Kurt and Hayley they deserve what they got" Trent huffed.

Those vampires were clearly going to kill them and he's glad that they were the ones that were dead.

"Besides, they were my responsibility. They attacked the helpless pregnant girl who's carrying my child along with her best friend who happens to be my beautiful mate" Klaus smirked.

Kurt felt himself blushing a little at Klaus calling him 'beautiful' and felt his heart flutter a bit.

"Oh, I am so moved by your new-found sense of fatherly duties towards the werewolf carrying your hybrid bun in her oven" Rebekah sarcastically smiled.

Klaus chuckled at his sisters choice of words while Kurt couldn't help but snort.

Everyone found themselves laughing at Rebekah's words.

"Ok, it's official, I like her" Santana grinned.

"Same here" Puck nodded, a grin plastered on his own face.

Brittany and Quinn frowned slightly at that, feeling something in their stomachs, before shaking their heads.

Klaus and Rebekah turned around to look at Kurt who cleared his throat.

"Sorry for intruding. I was just looking for Hayley" Kurt told them.

"No worries, love. After all, this is your home too" Klaus grinned at him.

Klaus nodded, trying his best not to blush at the nickname Klaus has given him. Rebekah raised an eyebrow at the two of them.

Blaine frowned, glancing between his ex-boyfriend and the hybrid in confusion and jealousy.

Why was Klaus calling his Kurt 'love' and why did it look like Kurt enjoyed it?

Footsteps were heard and the three of them turned around to see Hayley walking into the room while carrying a book, clutching it close to her chest.

Kurt smiled at Hayley and made his way towards her.

"There you are, Hales. I was beginning to worry" Kurt said.

"Sorry, K. I was reading one of Elijah's journals" Hayley told him, gesturing to the book she was holding.

Kurt nodded and wrapped his arm around her shoulders to which she immediately leaned into his side.

Rachel frowned at the interaction between Kurt and Hayley, feeling a slight jealous feeling growing inside of her.

While she is happy that Kurt made himself a friend she was a little jealous at the fact that this wolf girl took her place as Kurt's best friend.

She and Kurt may not have liked each other in the beginning and were enemies, mainly due to glee, but they grew closer and soon became each other's best friends.

Finding out that Hayley was now his new best friend just upset her as much as it made her jealous.

Hayley then looked at the Mikaelson siblings.

"The werewolf and her best friend would like to know what the plan is" Hayley said.

"Well, that depends what plan you mean, little wolf. My plan for global domination or Rebekah's plan to find love in a cruel, cruel world?" Klaus asked, smirking as he looked at his sister.

Rebekah smiled sarcastically at him before taking a pencil from the desk beside her and throws it in his direction.

Klaus is able to easily catch it with his vampire speed before it can embed itself in his face.

Everyone jumped at not only Rebekah's actions but at Klaus using his vampire speed.

They're still trying to get used to the fact that supernatural beings exist. More specifically speaking of vampires.

"The plan to rescue Elijah. You know, the good brother? The one who is now in the possession of your mortal enemy after you stabbed him in the back" Hayley glared at Klaus.

"In the front, if we're being specific" Klaus corrected at her.

"How is that any better?" Kurt asked with a raised eyebrow.

Klaus shrugged his shoulders and smirked at his mate to which he just rolled his eyes at him.

Blaine glared at the hybrid smirking at his ex-boyfriend and let out a huff.

"You two said that you would get him back. So is there a plan, or what?" Hayley asked.

The Mikaelson siblings looked at each other and subtly nodded before looking at the duo.

"Ok" Klaus sighed.

He walked into another room and the others followed him just as he sat down on a chair.

"Well, firstly, Marcel is not my mortal enemy, he's my friend. Albeit one who is unaware that I'm trying to sabotage his hold over the supernatural community of the French Quarter, but a friend nonetheless. And secondly, I daggered Elijah in order to gain Marcel's trust. If I had known he would place my brother in the hands of a particularly nasty teenage witch, I certainly would have weighed my options a bit differently. And thirdly..." Klaus trailed off.

He turned to Rebekah, "sister please".

Rebekah nodded and turned to Kurt and Hayley.

"And thirdly, the plan, as you have demanded, is for Niklaus to simply ask Marcel for Elijah back" Rebekah finished.

Everyone's eyes widened slightly at that before blinking as they tried to comprehend what they just heard.

"They're...they're joking right?" Tina asked.

"They have to be joking. There's no way asking for their brother back is going to work" Mike nodded.

Santana scoffed, "the Mikaelson's aren't idiots. Especially not Klaus. If anything he has another plan".

She may not really know the Mikaelson's but based on what they have seen so far, the Mikaelson's don't make easy plans.

And if anything they make crazy, diabolical, plans.

Kurt and Hayley looked at each other before looking back at the Mikaelson siblings with wide eyes.

"You're joking, right?" Hayley asked.

"Please tell me that's not the whole plan" Kurt added.

Rebekah scoffed and shook her head as she turned to look at her brother, "please. Klaus may be a miserable excuse for a sibling, but there is none more diabolical".

The duo looked at Klaus and saw him nodding slightly to which Kurt quietly sighed in relief.

"Why does he look relieved?" Thad asked, confused and a little worried.

"Well, they need a plan to get Elijah back and the only way they're going to do that is with whatever the Mikaelson's have planned" Trent shrugged.

"And that's only the plan A, love. There's always a Plan B" Klaus said.

"And what's plan B?" Kurt asked, raising an eyebrow at the hybrid.

Klaus smirked at him before answering, "war".

Everyone couldn't help but shiver slightly at that, even Sue.

"Well, that certainly isn't a recipe for disaster" Sebastian muttered under his breath.

"You can say that again" Jeff muttered in agreement.

The scene changes later in the day and we're still at the mansion. Kurt is seen walking downstairs so he could head into the kitchen and make something for Hayley to eat.

Just before he could head to the kitchen he was grabbed by the arm and pulled into the living room.

"Hey, what the hell?!" Kurt yelled in surprise, quickly snatching his arm out of the person gripping it.

The person was Klaus himself who gestured for him to be quiet as he quickly closed the doors.

"Dude, give him a heads up next time!" Finn yelled, huffing.

"And keep your hands away from him, asshole" Blaine muttered, glaring at onscreen Klaus.

After what he did to his love in the previous episode he wanted the hybrid to keep his hands to himself.

Kurt turned around and furrowed his eyebrows together when he saw Sophie sitting on the couch while Rebekah stood nearby.

"What's going on? Why is she here?" Kurt asked in confusion.

"She's here to help us find Elijah" Rebekah told him.

"And how is she going to do that?" Ms. Pillsbury asked, tilting her head to the side.

"And how is she going to do that?" Kurt asked with a raised eyebrow.

Ms. Pillsbury blinked at having said the same thing as Kurt before letting a faint smile appear on her face.

"She's going to perform a spell to find him" Rebekah told him.

Sophie's eyes widened at that and immediately shook her head.

"Are you out of your mind? No way" Sophie protested.

"It's very simple. We need you to perform a teeny, tiny locator spell to help us find our brother" Rebekah told her.

"Witches who practice magic in this town get caught, and then they get killed" Sophie reminded them.

"Wait really?" Mr. Schue asked with wide eyes.

Gertrude nodded her head.

"Marcel has tons of rules since he is in charge of the city. The main one that the witches hate but have no choice but to follow is that they aren't allowed to practice magic. If they get caught they are instantly killed" Gertrude explained.

Everyone's eyes widened at the information they just learned.

They couldn't believe that Marcel denied the witches of their magic.

Although they weren't fond of the witches, given they kidnapped Kurt and Hayley and got them into this mess, they believed that they shouldn't be killed for doing magic since that's what they were born with.

"Damn" Thad muttered to his friends.

The warblers couldn't help but nod in agreement.

"That town is basically a blood town" Quinn frowned.

"More like a death town" Blaine muttered.

He doesn't understand why Kurt went to New Orleans, of all places, when that place attracts nothing but danger.

When this is over and they get out of here he is heading straight to New Orleans, finding his ex-boyfriend and taking him home.

"Oh, well I'll be sure to arrange a nice funeral for you" Kurt sarcastically smiled.

Sophie gaped at him while Rebekah tried her best not to laugh.

Klaus, on the other hand, didn't bother hiding his laugh as he shot his mate a smirk to which Kurt slightly smiled while blushing.

Everyone couldn't stop themselves from laughing in amusement at Kurt's words.

After all they believe that Sophie deserved his harshness since she's the reason he and Hayley are in the mess they are in.

"Yes, about that. It seems you left out a crucial detail when we made our deal. Marcel's secret weapon, the way he knows when a witch is using magic" Klaus said, sitting down on a chair.

Rebekah sat down herself as she raised her hand in the air, "girl about yea high, cute as a button, anger issues?".

Sophie's eyes widened in realization, "Davina?" she asked in shock.

Klaus and Rebekah looked at her in slight surprise while Klaus rolled his eyes and crossed his arms over his chest.

"Where have you seen her?" Sophie asked, wanting to know where the girl was at.

"I don't know. The little brat erased my memory right after she threw me out a window with her bloody mind" Rebekah scowled.

"Damn, that girl must be powerful" Coach Beiste said, sounding amazed and a little scared.

"You have no idea" Gertrude chuckled.

"Let me cut to the chase. Davina has Elijah. You witches, I assume, want to get Davina away from Marcel. We don't know where she is. Ergo, we need magic" Klaus said.

"Davina would sense it" Sophie reminded him.

"Unless, of course, another witch, say, a traitor to the cause. Katie for example, was to perform much more powerful magic at the same time. That would create a smokescreen, concealing your very small spell from Davina" Rebekah explained.

Kurt raised an eyebrow and looked at the Mikaelson siblings.

"Who the hell is Katie?" Kurt asked in confusion.

Sophie tensed slightly while Rebekah and Klaus glanced at each other, wondering if they should tell him.

"Tell him what?" Rachel asked in confusion and curiosity.

"Yeah and who is Katie?" Finn asked.

Gertrude sighed as she felt everyone look at her, clearly wanting an explanation.

"Katie is a witch and she's dating a vampire, Thierry, who happens to be working for Marcel. She was the one that gave Hayley wolfsbane and Kurt the potion the day they went into town. And she told Thierry about them to which he told Marcel who ordered the vampires to go after them" Gertrude explained.

Everyone's eyes widened at that, clearly not expecting that.

But while the shock remained in a few the shock had gone away for others.

And it was now replaced with anger.

"When I get my hands on that bitch" Blaine angrily muttered under his breath.

It's because of that Katie girl that Kurt was attacked and could've been hurt, or worse.

Klaus sighed before deciding to tell him, after all he believed he deserved to know.

"Katie is the girl that gave Hayley the wolfsbane and you the potion. She's also the one that ratted you and Hayley out. That's why Marcel sent those vampires after the two of you" Klaus explained.

Kurt's eyes widened at that and Sophie looked at him, a little worried about how he'd react.

Anger flashed through Kurt's eyes and he turned around and grabbed a nearby vase and spun around and threw it across the room, causing it to smash into pieces and those pieces scattered all over.

Sophie yelped in surprise, covering her face with her arms, while Rebekah and Klaus stared at him with slightly wide eyes.

Everyone jumped, clearly startled, and their eyes widened.

Hell, even Santana and Sebastian jumped and neither of them hid it.

The new directions were shocked at what Kurt had done. They understood that he was angry, they were too, but they never expected him to do something like that.

They knew that Kurt had his moments and sometimes would yell but he'd never throw things. If his anger was getting worse he would always leave the room to saying or doing something he will regret later.

Seeing him throw that vase wasn't what they would've expected.

"Nice one, lady hummel" Sebastian muttered.

"You said it" Thad muttered with a nod of his head.

"Oh when I get my hands on that little bitch!" Kurt yelled.

He turned around and began walking towards the door, ready to leave, when arms were wrapped around his waist and he was pulled back and was now pressed against a hard chest.

Kurt's breath hitched when he felt lips right near his ear.

"Calm down, love. Don't go killing anyone just yet" Klaus whispered in his ear.

Kurt pressed his lips together as he did his best not to shiver or blush.

The girls raised their eyebrows at that and glanced at each other, a knowing look on all their faces.

Meanwhile, Blaine frowned at how close Kurt and Klaus were and felt a jealous feeling brewing inside of him.

Kurt huffed before nodding slightly at his mate, indicating that he wouldn't leave to kill the witch.

Klaus stared at him for a few seconds before slowly releasing his hold on him. He was relieved when Kurt remained where he was and just calmly turned back around.

Everyone raised their eyebrows at how Klaus was able to calm Kurt down and stop him from tracking down Katie and killing her himself.

The ones that really knew Kurt knew that he was scary when he was really angry.

They knew how much of a struggle it was just to get him to calm down.

Klaus being able to do that so easily confused them as much as it shocked them.

"Don't worry, love, Katie will die. If she performs a powerful spell it would be able to block out Sophie's spell" Klaus said.

Kurt hummed at that, seemingly pleased that the girl would die after what she did.

Sophie's eyes widened, horror showing in them, and she immediately shook her head.

"Katie doesn't deserve to die" Sophie said.

This made everyone in the theater scoff at her words.

"Is she serious right now?" Carole asked in disbelief.

"That bitch ratted out porcelain and the wolf girl. Lets not forget that porcelain is human meaning he could easily be killed and the wolf girl is pregnant meaning the baby could've been killed too" Sue angrily said.

"Exactly! And she knew it too yet she still ratted them out" Santana scowled.

"As far as I'm concerned, she deserves it" Blaine added with a roll of his eyes.

That bitch almost had his ex-boyfriend, his first love, killed.

He didn't care if Katie dies because it's like the saying goes, karma is a bitch.

Klaus, clearly fed up, angrily slammed his hands on the table causing Sophie to jump while Kurt and Rebekah remained silent.

"Sophie Deveraux! You're in no position to be so principled. You can't win a war without a few strategic losses, no matter how regrettable they may be" Klaus told her.

Everyone glanced at each other and couldn't help but nod in agreement at the hybrids words.

If you're at war and you want to win that war, you need to do whatever it takes to gain just that.

Yes, you may lose people. Tons of them for that matter. But, at the end of the day, you know what you're fighting for.

"How many times have the vampires been one step ahead, known something they shouldn't? Your sister, executed in the public square for practicing magic, who knew she'd be caught? Did she even attempt to flee?" Klaus asked.

Sophie stared at him for a few seconds before replying.

"She was caught hiding in a cargo hold of a freighter before it set sail down the Mississippi" Sophie said.

"And who, pray tell, of Marcel's valued inner circle manages his business at the docks?" Klaus asked.

"It's gotta be that Katie girls boyfriend" Finn muttered to Rachel who nodded in agreement.

Sophie pressed her lips together before letting out a sigh and answered, "Katie's boyfriend, Thierry".

Finn grinned. He was right.

Rachel giggled at his happiness and shook her head fondly.

The screen turns black before turning back on. It's later in the day and it's already dark outside.

The camera pans to the mansion and we head outside to the pool area where we see Kurt and Hayley walking around together.

They were by themselves in the mansion. Klaus and Rebekah are out of the house since they went to Marcel's party to make sure that their plan to get Elijah back succeeds, they don't want anything to go wrong.

"And they left them alone when they could easily be attacked?" Burt asked, huffing.

He didn't like the idea of his son and Hayley being alone in the mansion without any supervision.

Especially after they were almost attacked by vampires in the previous episode because that Katie girl ratted them out.

Carole placed her hand on top of her husbands hand and caressed it.

"Calm down, hon. I'm sure they'll be fine" Carole softly said.

She was worried about Kurt and Hayley being alone in the mansion without any supervision too, but she believed that they would be fine.

She believed that they could take care of themselves. She believes they could take care of each other.

"I can't believe they went to a party and left us here alone" Kurt muttered in annoyance.

"Well after what happened yesterday we can't take any chances. It's better to just lay low for the moment" Hayley shrugged.

Kurt sighed and nodded, "yeah I guess you're right".

"I'm known to always be right" Hayley grinned at him.

Kurt rolled his eyes and playfully nudged her shoulder causing her to laugh.

The new directions couldn't help but smile at the two best friends.

They could tell how close those two were and they were happy that Kurt had someone.

Although they were a little jealous they were happy that their friend wasn't alone in New Orleans.

All of a sudden they hear twigs snapping causing them to snap their heads forward, immediately on high alert.

They walked towards where the sound came from and, to their surprise, they saw a wolf staring at them.

The duo furrowed their eyebrows together as they stared back at the wolf. Kurt was confused while Hayley, for some reason, felt drawn to it but she couldn't figure out why.

Everyone raised their eyebrow at seeing the werewolf while a few others couldn't help but stare in slight awe.

"You two are not supposed to be out here" a voice from behind startled them.

The duo hastily turn around and see a dark skinned woman standing across from them with a smile on her face.

"Who are you?" Kurt asked, stepping protective in front of his best friend.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to scare you guys. I'm Sabine. We met. I'm one of Sophie's friends" the woman, Sabine, said.

"I'm surprised that bitch even has friends" Quinn rolled her eyes.

Everyone either nodded or laughed at her words.

"You're one of the witches" Hayley said in realization.

"Sophie just asked me to come keep you guys company while everyone's out" Sabine told them.

The duo just nodded. Sabine looked behind them and her eyes met the wolf before she looked back at the duo.

"You know, it's drawn to you" Sabine said, looking at Hayley.

Hayley furrowed her eyebrows at that and looked back at the wolf before looking back at Sabine.

Everyone couldn't help but furrow their eyebrows at the witches words.

Why was that werewolf drawn to Hayley? What was special about Hayley that the werewolf is drawn to her?

"The child you're carrying is part vampire, part werewolf. You and Klaus made something special" Sabine told Hayley.

Hayley scoffed while Kurt frowned slightly and shifted from where he stood.

The reminder of Hayley and Klaus sleeping together that led to his best friend getting pregnant made him jealous and he didn't understand why.

Blaine frowned at that, wondering why the hell Kurt was jealous over a one night stand his best friend and the hybrid had.

Meanwhile, the girls raised looked at each other and shared a knowing look.

Is it possible that Kurt was beginning to grow feelings for Klaus?

I mean, it would make sense since they are soulmates after all.

"You sound like Elijah. He thinks this baby is going to make us one big, happy family, but now he's gone and I don't even know what...it is" Hayley said, placing a hand over her stomach.

Sabine looked down at her stomach before looking back at her.

"You know, I can do something about that, if you want. I mean, find out if it's a boy or girl" Sabine told her.

"I thought you couldn't do witchy stuff around here?" Hayley asked, confused.

Sabine laughed and shook her head, "it's not magic, just an old trick my grandmother taught me".

"What trick?" Ms. Pillsbury asked, confused and curious.

"If the wolf girl really wants to know the gender of her baby just go to the hospital for a check up" Sue rolled her eyes.

It really wasn't that hard to just schedule an appointment to find out what they want to know.

Hayley hesitated at that and Sabine noticed.

"Come on. You have to be a little curious" Sabine said, urging her to agree.

Hayley bit her lip and looked at Kurt, silently asking him what she should do.

Kurt glanced at Sabine before looking at his best friend and shrugged his shoulders.

"I say do it. Besides, I'm curious to know if you're going to be giving me an honorary niece or nephew" Kurt smiled.

Burt couldn't help but smile at his son's happiness at being an uncle to Hayley's baby.

He already knew he was going to be an uncle to the baby since he and Hayley are not only best friends but brother and sister.

Hayley sighed before accepting Sabine's offer causing the witch to smile at her. The three of them head inside of the mansion.

They make their way into the kitchen and Sabine tells Hayley to lie on top of the kitchen counter and she does with the help of Kurt, of course.

Hayley is now lying on the kitchen counter and Kurt stood at her side and held her hand in his, offering her support and comfort.

Sabine then holds a crystal hanging on a chain over Hayley's pregnant belly and begins to perform the trick.

The crystal begins to swing in one direction and after a few seconds Sabine looks over at the pregnant wolf and the human boy.

"I think it's a girl" Sabine told them with a smile.

Hayley smiled at that and Kurt couldn't help but grin gleefully at the revelation.

"Oh, I'm definitely spoiling her rotten" Kurt whispered to Hayley who laughed softly.

Everyone couldn't help but smile at the possibility of the baby being a girl.

Quinn and Puck looked at each other with small smiles, remembering how happy they were when they learned their baby was a girl.

They really wished they had kept her, they would've spoiled her rotten, but they knew it was for the best.

Sabine smiled at them but then her smile turned into a frown as the crystal starts to swing in the other direction.

"No, wait" Sabine spoke, causing the siblings to look at her.

"Wait what? Please tell me I'm not having a mini-Klaus" Hayley begged.

Everyone laughed but they had to agree that Hayley having a mini-Klaus, if it were to be a boy and not a girl, would be a nightmare.

"No doubt the kid would inherit his ego" Puck muttered.

Finn, who was next to him, laughed quietly but nodded his head in an agreement.

The crystal suddenly glows with a bright light, which causes Sabine to drop it. All of a sudden she gasps loudly as her head dips backwards and her eyes roll back.

This made the duo jump at her sudden actions while staring at her with wide eyes.

Everyone couldn't help but jump themselves at the sudden actions from the witch.

"What the hell is going on?!" Coach Beiste yelled.

"What's happening?!" Mr. Schue yelled, turning over to Gertrude for an answer.

Unfortunately, the witch just gestured to the screen as her way of telling them to continue watching.

"What the hell?!" Kurt yelled in confusion and fright.

He quickly, but carefully, lifted his best friend up and helped her off the counter. Once her feet were touching the ground he pushed her behind him.

"Hoc est infantima malom. Nos omnia perditu el eam" Sabine chanted.

Kurt stared at her weirdly as did Hayley and the duo glanced at each other.

"What the hell just happened?!" Sebastian yelled.

"And what the fuck did that witch lady say?" Santana asked in confusion.

"All will be revealed soon. Just sit back and watch" Gertrude told them.

This made everyone glare at her but none of them said anything since they knew that they weren't going to get any answers.

The screen turns black before turning back on. It's later in the day where Klaus and Rebekah have returned from the party.

We head upstairs and into Kurt's room where we see him on his bed reading a book.

Just as he's about to turn the page he hears his door being pushed open causing him to look up.

He sees Klaus standing by the door, still in the suit he wore to the party, with his hands in his pocket.

The girls and the guys, the gay ones, couldn't help but eye Klaus up and down.

Despite how they feel about the hybrid, they had to admit that he was hot especially in a suit.

"There you are" Klaus said.

"Here I am" Kurt nodded.

"I just talked to Hayley, who was in the study, but you weren't with her" Klaus said.

"Yeah, Hayley wanted to do some research while I decided to get myself ready for bed. It's getting late, after all" Kurt said.

Klaus nodded while Kurt eyed him up and down, admiring how good he looked in the suit.

Blaine frowned at what he saw, feeling a jealous feeling brewing inside of him.

"So, how did tonight go? Did the plan work? Is Elijah coming back?" Kurt asked.

Klaus grimaced at that before answering, "the plan didn't go as we intended but I can assure you that Elijah is going to return to us"

Kurt nodded, "good. Hayley will be happy to have him back here".

"And you aren't?" Klaus asked with a raised eyebrow.

Kurt shrugged as he closed his book and set it on his bedside table.

"Don't get me wrong he's nice and all but I still don't know him that well. Hayley, on the other hand, seems to really like him. I can tell she misses him so she'll be more than pleased when he returns" Kurt said.

The girls glanced at each other with knowing looks and allowed small grins to appear on their faces.

They as well as Kurt knew how much Hayley liked Elijah and they had a feeling that those two were beginning to grow feelings.

It was quite obvious considering the way they acted towards each other in the first episode.

Klaus hummed at that. Kurt stared at him and hesitated before speaking.

"Did Hayley tell you that the baby might be a girl?" Kurt asked.

"She did" Klaus nodded.

"And how do you feel about it?" Kurt asked with a raised eyebrow.

Klaus looked at him before letting out a sigh.

"I'm really glad that our baby might be a girl. It's honestly a relief, if I have to be honest" Klaus told him.

"Why? You wouldn't be happy if you had a son?" Kurt asked, confused.

Klaus shook his head, "it's not that I wouldn't be happy. I would still be happy if I had a son. But, it's better for me to have a girl. The less she ends up like me, the better".

Puck leaned into Finn's side causing his best friend to look at him.

"$20 his daughter ends up becoming like him when she gets older" Puck grinned.

Finn glanced at the screen before looking back at him, "deal".

Puck grinned as did Finn and they shook hands before putting their attention back onto the screen.

Quinn and Rachel, having heard and seen their interaction, looked at each other and just shook their heads.

Kurt frowned, "what do you mean by that?".

Klaus stared at him for a few seconds before sighing.

"I don't want history repeating itself if I were to have a son. It's better that way" Klaus told him.

Kurt frowned, confused and a little worried.

Everyone had the same reaction as Kurt as they themselves were confused as to what Klaus meant by that.

All except Puck.

He had a feeling that Klaus had a deadbeat father, like he did, and he hoped that his child would be a girl rather than a boy because he doesn't want his child to be like him.

It's how he felt when he learned that Quinn was pregnant with his baby.

Despite how scared he was he was ready to take on the responsibility.

He was ready to be better than his father.

Kurt opened his mouth to say something when Klaus cleared his throat and took his hands out from his pockets.

"Well, I have a few things to take care of. It's getting late, as you said, so I should let you get some rest" Klaus said.

Kurt cleared his throat and nodded.

"Yeah, you're right. I'm getting tired after all" Kurt said.

"Sure you were" Santana muttered, her lips twitching upwards.

She, as well as the rest of the girls, could tell that Kurt wanted to continue talking to Klaus and looked a little disappointed at not being able to.

"Well then. Good night, love" Klaus softly said.

"Good night, Klaus" Kurt softly said, flashing him a small smile.

Klaus offered him a faint smile before turning around and leaving after closing the door behind him.

Kurt sighed before lying down on his bed. He reached over to turn off the lamp and once it was off he quickly dozed off to sleep.

As the screen turned black, indicating that the episode was over, everyone couldn't help but feel relieved that nothing bad had happened to Kurt and Hayley.

But they had a feeling that something was going to happen soon.

And they were just hoping that neither of them would get hurt.
