So I randomly got inspired so here- This is the Religion of the Watcherwings! 

It was said that long ago, a trio of dragons were so sick of Pyhrria they flew to the moons. It is believed that these dragons were a Nightwing, a Sandwing, and an Icewing, but no one knows if that's true. Their names have been lost to time. It is also rumored that they were all animi.

Anyway let's continue this story. 

The tale goes that once the trio landed on the moons, they each claimed one. The Icewing claimed Lai, The Nightwing claimed Sav, and the Sandwing claimed Eco. Once they had claimed the moons, they enchanted every moon to be habitable. Gave it air, food, and water, all the essentials to life.

The Sandwing built Eco's tents and roads, carefully crafting the currency. The Nightwing and Icewing on the other claw built towns and cities. They started a friendly rivalry, but it quickly escalated. 

Soon the Icewing and the Nightwing were having big battles over which moon was better. It is said they destroyed houses, and their friendship, in their rivalry. Eventually the Sandwing had enough. The Sandwing wove two capes, an ice blue one and a dark black one. The Sandwing enchanted each with good luck and joy, then set made a third. This one was a royal blue. They didn't enchant that one though. 

The Sandwing landed in the midst of a battle between the Icewing and the Nightwing. "Stop this battle at once!" The two former allies approached the Sandwing with caution. The Sandwing placed down the three capes. 

"This is our sign of unity! Either you agree to wear your cape and stop this war or you subject the dragons to likve here with enternal war!" The Sandwing barked. They grabbed the royal blue cape and put it on. But the other two hesitated. They couldn't just end this, they wanted to win this. 

"Whoever gets their cape first gives their moon a better life." The Sandwing said. There was still a pause, but eventually the Nightwing grabbed the ice blue cape and put it on. The Icewing however, who was so prideful, waited longer. But eventually they grabbed the black cape, wrapping it around themselves. 

 After that, the Icewing and Nightwing rebuilt the moons, with the help of the Sandwing. All together they built the new dragons that would live on the moons. They ruled for a long time, with no more wars. 

This is the reason why Watcherwings wear capes, to stay united. I will show their practices/holidays next chapter.

TL;DR: A trio of dragons went to the moons, two went "mine is better than yours" and the third went "no take these happ capes and don't do that again" then they made a tribe
