Hi! Let's start with the appearance. The current cover of this book is the base I made for the Watcherwings, but I'll post it here too.

Now, this base gives us a lot of info on the Watcherwings appearance! But we don't know their colors yet, do we? So let's start on that. 

First and foremost, I imagine Watcherwings can be any shade of Purple/Magenta. It can go from an off-white to a black as dark as nightwings. They can also be the color of endstone (the Minecraft block). If you don't know what endstone looks like, it's a light yellow color. I also think they could be silver- like the moon. I can also imagine that their halo's/eye-whites are the opposite shade. (Example: you have a light colored Watcherwing would have a dark colored halo/eye-whites, vise-versa) I'm still thinking about that though. I also imagine that the wings can be any color within the scale colors too. I imagine their eyes can also be any shade of purple/magenta.

They also have neon purple blood because yes. Anything that is colored by blood (Inside of mouth, blush, inner ear, scars, etc) is also purple because of this. 

Also no, the "Without wings" part is not a normal part of the design. You can make wingless Watcherwings, but they can't just make their wings disappear. It's mostly so you can see the scales. 

But you may have noticed the cape! This cape is some kind of cultural thing (I will explain it more in the culture chapter). I don't have much for it yet, but a lot of Watcherwings do wear capes. The capes can be any color of the rainbow, mostly because they aren't part of the Watcherwings bodies. Although the image of a watcherwing hatching with a cape is kinda funny. But there is probably a store (or multiple stores) that make and sell these capes.

Now I'm going to describe what my art skills are too limited to- Body types. This is just the general, there is Watcherwings with all types of bodies but this is the majority. I imagine them as slender and elegant. Like the body type of Skywings. They're mostly small, like Sandwings. Again, not all Watcherwings are like this. This is just the majority.
