Chapter 15: "I Can Take Away The Pain"
Quick A/N: Okay, before I start this chapter, I have been wanting to rewrite my story Can't Go Back for a time now. A few days ago I posted the edited version of "Take Off Your Helmet" (Chapter 5 of CGB) and I explained everything. So if you wanna check it up I would appreciated. I hope you enjoy this chapter :) Here's the link to the edited chapter:

Kelsey
I was still trying to get out of the grip that was holding me against the ground. I was sweating, tired and my throat hurt. I hadn't heard Liam's voice in a considerate period of time. I decided to finally give up when the lights started flashing and really louds sounds started to echo all around the room we were in.
Suddenly, a hand covered my mouth making me try to get it away but then remembered I couldn't move. I tried to scream too but then remembered I didn't have voice either.
I started to really worry. Whoever's this hand was, I didn't have an escape.
I admit at first I thought it was one of the Doctors, until I realized the Doctors had this kind of iron gloves and the hand that was touching me was bare, in fact, even soft.
Finally, I saw Theo's face above me and felt the most relieved I had have that night. He was creeping on the floor and had his index finger on his lips indicating me to keep silence. He, somehow, set me free and I could finally move my extremities. I tried to reach for him and I held into his arm. He took me out of there, I don't know where we went through to sneak out, but we did it.
We left Liam and Hayden behind and I wasn't sorry at all.
-
I couldn't remember a thing since Theo got me out of wherever we were. There was something blocking my brain that just omitted that part. Once we got out of there, the exact moment I stepped on the outside, it was all gone. It was like I had been under anesthesia. But I knew the Doctors hadn't got me again. I knew it because when I started being conscious and remembering again I was with Theo, in my room. I didn't know why we were there or how, but there were a lot of things I didn't know why they had happened. So, why worry for anything anymore? Theo saved me; I wouldn't reproach it to him.
"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" He asked me as I sat on my bed, with no expression on my face.
"I'm fine, thanks." To my surprise, my voice was a lot better. It wasn't fully recovered but at least you could hear it.
"Are you sure?" I looked up at him. I wasn't fine, of course not. But I didn't want him to see me crying. "Kelsey, I saw it." He sat down next to me; I never stopped looking at him. "I saw how he tried to get to her, how he was looking at her and how he screamed her name."
Tears started to fall from my eyes as that experience came back to my mind. I had to start accepting it, I needed to. He preferred her instead of me. He was happier with her than with me. He wanted to be with her and not me.
"Kelsey," Theo made me look at him again. "I know you want answers. You feel confused and hurt." Yes, I did. "I can give you all the answers. I can protect you from anything." He could protect me. "I can give you what you deserve, what he didn't give you." He could. "I can take away the pain."
"Please..."
The gap between us quickly went away. His hands on my face, mine on his neck. Our lips moving together. We kissed and everything that was worrying me faded. He was right; he could give me all the answers.
He slowly pushed me and laid me on my bed, he on top of me. I pulled him closer by his shirt and placed my hands on his shoulders as I started to kiss his neck. His hands were now on my hips, under my shirt, and his touch on my skin making me feel an electrical sensation all over my body. He could protect me.
He lowered his hands and I went back to kissing his lips. We pulled away for a second, and then he started kissing my neck this time. I saw his eyes in that second we were apart; they were glowing. I was sure mine were too, but mine were blue. Because I wasn't who I thought I was. I wasn't Kelsey. And Theo wasn't Liam. He could give me what I deserved.
Theo was better than Liam.
We kept kissing for a few minutes. We stopped when Theo's t-shirt was on the floor. We didn't do anything else. Right now we were trying to catch our breaths, staring into each other's eyes. He was going to help me. He was going to save me. He would tell me anything. He would protect me. He would keep me away from The Dread Doctors.
"I have been dying to do that since I first saw you." He gave me one of his always-charming smiles. I smiled back at him and pecked him on the lips one more time. "You can't tell the rest I saved you, Kels." I looked at him disconcerted. "I don't want them to know that I left Li-"
"We both left them." I cut him off before he could continue. "It's my fault too, and I don't want them to know neither." He nodded and then thought about something to tell them, to lie to them.
"Did Liam and Hayden knew you where there?"
"I don't know." I said as I cringed at the mention of their names. "It didn't seem like they knew." Theo noticed and pecked me again, earning a giggle from me.
"Well, if they didn't know we can say you were never taken."
Right when he said that, in that second, after all the time we had been together that nigh, I noticed his face was full of dirt and dry blood. I placed my hand on his cheek, over the dirt, and he placed his over mine. He closed his eyes enjoying my caress.
"What happened?"
"I had a car accident." He answered right after I asked. "But as you can see, I'm okay." He was okay. And he had told me the truth, I knew he wasn't lying. Theo would never lie to me.
We heard someone coming upstairs and I instantly got up. I went to open the door and Lydia's face appeared in the darkness. She stood in shock for a second and then quickly hugged me as hard as she could.
"I thought they took you." She said into the hug with a cracked voice.
"They didn't." Theo said behind us. We both turned to him. He had his shirt back on and, once again, was looking at us with a sweet smile. "She managed to get out of the school and I saw her running in the streets. I took her here, I thought she would be safer."
"Thank you so much." Lydia went to hug him as gratitude. When she pulled away she hugged me one more time before she told me to go to sleep and made her way to her room.
"I should be going too." Theo said once I was about to go to bed. I looked at him and bit my lip before I spoke.
"N-no, please. Stay." He didn't reply. He got into my room, took of his shirt, picked me up and left me in my bed before he did. He wrapped his arms around my waist and I rested my head on his chest. My eyes started to close in less than a minute as I started to fall sleep.
Nothing would happen to me if I was with him.
-
Lydia, Theo and I walked into Scott's house, where he told us to meet that morning. Everyone was already there, everyone except Scott. We were late but we would be even later if Theo had gone to his place to get changed. Basically, his clothes smelled like smoke and needed to change. I had some of Liam's clothes in my room, but Theo didn't want to wear them. At the end he gave in.
We went to Scott's living room where Stiles and Malia were. When Stiles saw me, he ran to me and hugged me.
"Where's Corey?" I heard Lydia ask.
"In Scott's room. Mason's there." Lydia left and I pulled away from Stiles. Malia gave me a quick hug too. The two of them were checking I was totally okay.
"How did you-" Stiles started to ask after he made sure I wasn't hurt, but I cut him.
"I followed Lydia through the halls, but then I found her on the ground, choking." It was true, I saw her before the Doctors got me. I turned to Malia. "And I also saw you, Malia. You were on the floor too and then the lights started flashing and I heard this noise. I knew they were coming, so I got out of there as fast as I could. I ran away from the school and then Theo saw me, stopped me and took me home." I lied, but it wasn't complete. I needed something to top it. "I feel so bad, now Liam and Hayden are in danger because of me."
"It's not your fault at all." Stiles pulled me into a hug again. It worked.
"Yeah, I guess it's better they only took two instead of three." We all looked at Malia kinda shocked. That sounded a bit harsh. "I mean it in the best way possible."
Suddenly Scott walked into the house. He closed the door behind him and made his way to his room really fast.
"Hey, is Kira okay?" Stiles asked but he ignored him and went upstairs. He looked pissed and it was kinda scaring and worrying at the same time. "Scott?"
We followed him. When we were halfway to go upstairs we heard Lydia's yelling.
"No, Scott, don't!"
We hurried and started running towards Scott's room. Once we were there, we saw Scott, with his eyes glowing red, grabbing Corey by the back of his neck. I had never seen him do that, and I didn't know what he was doing. I felt Theo's hand grabbing mine and I squeezed it. I moved a step forwards but my sister stopped me.
"Don't get too close."
"What is he doing?"
"Tapping into Corey's memories."
Memories.
I looked at Theo right when she said that. Scott could see what I did and I would know who I did kill. I would know everything I did. Maybe Theo could do it and I could have all the answers to my questions.
"It's usually something only Alphas do." Lydia finished. So, Theo couldn't do it. It could only be Scott.
"Is it as dangerous as it looks?" Theo let my hand go and got closer to Scott and Corey.
"Probably more."
"Does anyone know if it's working?"
Some seconds after Mason asked that, Scott let Corey go. He started to fall backwards and I was one of the firsts to help him stay up.
"Is he okay?"
"What the hell did you do to me?" Corey yelled rubbing his neck.
"You'll be all right."
"There's blood."
"You'll heal."
"Scott-"
"He'll be fine!" Scott looked for paper and a pencil and once he got it he started drawing something. "Listen I think it worked. I saw something. There were tunnels. Pipes along the walls. There were these huge blue pipes at the entrance. Two on both sides." He drew as he described.
"Wait a second I know this." Stiles cut Scott off. "I've seen this before. That's one of the tunnels I used to skateboard in. Remember my dad caught me one time and told me to never go back?"
"It's the water treatment plant." I said once I saw Scott's drawing and recognized that place.
"That's where they are." Said Scott. "That's where we'll find Liam and Hayden."

There, finally Kheo. Guess you're happy now :)
Okay, first thing's first, was I the only one crying over the kiss between Liam and Hayden? (I refuse to call them by their ship name)
But I was literally crying, and not because I was happy for them, like I really didn't want that to happen. And my friends don't understand why, I fell in love with Liam when he first appeared in Muted. It was love at first sight and now Jeff Davis is ruining it all.
First Justin leaves me for Selena Gomez and now Liam for a Walmart version of her.
Well, I'll just have to get over it...
Anyways, I hope you liked this chapter :)
