Chapter 11: Yeah, You Fucked Up
Kelsey
I woke up in the middle of the night because I heard some barking. It was Sunday night, well probably Monday, and I really needed to rest for school tomorrow. It was really annoying me, I wasn't getting any sleep in the whole weekend. Friday, the night we all read the books, I couldn't stop thinking about what happened with Theo, Saturday I stayed up until late to do my homework and study, and Sunday, today, these barks woke me up.
I get up and check the time on my phone. 3.47 AM. Yup, it wasn't Sunday anymore. The barks were coming from outside, so I went to my window and looked through it. Prada was sitting on the entrance of the house and looking up at my window. It was the one barking and waking me up.
I sighed tired and put on my sneakers. I guessed Lydia and mom didn't hear it, so I would have to go for it.
When I got down Prada wasn't in the entrance anymore. It was on the street sidewalk, still barking at me.
"Come on, Prada, come with me and shut up." I walked towards it when I saw it wasn't going to come to me, but as I got closer it would just get more away from me. "Prada!" I said confused when it started running down the street. I started chasing it and actually had to run to reach it.
Suddenly, as I kept running, the street disappeared and I was now on the woods. I didn't stop running, but I wasn't chasing Prada anymore. I was running after a little kid. I couldn't distinguish if it was a girl or a boy, it was too dark and this kid had the hair cut in a way it could have been any of the both options.
The kid started yelling as I gained on him or her. It was a toddler, the voice was high pitched and I still couldn't differentiate.
"No! No!" The toddler cried when I was almost on him or her. "Please, no! Help!" I suddenly felt myself jumping over the kid as he or she yelled again.
"Help!"
I blinked and the kid disappeared. I looked around. I wasn't on the woods, instead, I was at the end of my street. Under me was Prada; I was pressing it against the ground. I let go when I realized it was crying. I held it up and brought it back to home.
I was tired and I didn't know what had happened. I just wanted to go back to sleep, if I could after that. I would just tell Lydia or Scott tomorrow, right now I just wanted to sleep.

"Did you finish the book?" Liam asked me I got out of English class. I noticed Mason behind him and I smiled at him. Liam placed his arm around my shoulders and pecked me on the lips as we walked down the hall. I hadn't seen him in the whole weekend.
"Yeah, we did." I answered him.
"And did you remembered anything?" I decided to not tell him anything about last night yet. It was better if I told Lydia, Scott or Stiles first.
"Nothing." I lied, trying to not raise my heartbeat. But it didn't last too long. I spotted Theo next to his locker at the end of the hall. He looked back at me and smiled. I quickly broke the eye contact. I had to get away from him. I was with Liam, who loved me and I loved back, and Theo was not going to ruin us.
When I looked up at Liam he was staring at me confused. I smiled and peck him on the lips again before he smiled back at me. Yeah, I loved him.
"Are you going to see me at the try outs now?" He asked. "Mason is coming." I looked over Mason but he was to busy with his phone. The bell rang and everyone around us started moving to their classes.
"Yeah, sure." I replied. "I just need to find Lydia first. I need to tell her something."
"Okay, see you there." He said and made his way to the lacrosse field along with Mason, still caught up in his phone.
I was left alone in the hall. I believed Lydia had A.P. Biology with Scott now, so I would just go to their class and tell them 'Mrs. Martin' needed to talk to them. I arrived to her class and looked through the door glass. Neither her nor Scott were in there. And there was another empty seat besides theirs.
I decided to go to my mom's office, maybe she knew something. When I turned the corner of the hall, I saw Scott going in the same direction as me. He turned around and stopped to wait for me.
"I needed to tell you something." I said when I got to him. We were in front of my mom's office, and this girl, Stacy, came out.
"Scott." She said and we both went into the office. I saw Lydia on the floor, resting against the wall, unconscious.
"Lydia." I said holding her hand with one hand and shaking her a bit by the shoulder with the other. "Lydia, are you okay?"
She started opening her eyes and I sighed relived. Her hand started shaking on mine and I held her tighter.
"I'm fine." She said as she tried to get up. Scott and I helped her; she looked shocked.
"You remembered something?" Scott asked her about the doctors but she shook her head.
"Not about the Dread Doctors. Nothing about them or the surgery."
"What was it?"
"My grandmother." She looked at me for a minute before continuing. "At Eichen House."
"I had something like that too." I finally spoke and they both looked at me waiting for me to talk. "I was running and chasing a kid."
"Did anything else happen?"
"No." I lied and right after mom came in the room and went straight to hug Lydia.
"Lydia? Oh, my God, what happened? Are you all right?"
"Mom, I'm fine." Lydia rolled her eyes and looked at me behind mom. I waved to her, suggesting I was about to leave. She smiled at me before I left and she kept ensuring mom she was okay. "It was nothing."
Liam
The tryouts had started. Unfortunately, we had to share field with the girl's soccer team, in which Hayden was. I was trying my best to not look rude to her but not getting too close to her either.
I grabbed my lacrosse stick. It was my turn. I accidently looked over Hayden and noticed it was also her turn to shot at goal. She looked back at me and smirked. I smiled without knowing and bit my lip to stop it.
I prepared myself and threw the ball with my stick but failed. When I glanced at Hayden, she shot and scored without any difficulty. I grabbed another ball with my stick and prepared to shot again, not caring if it wasn't my turn. I shot and scored this time before looking at her victorious.
She hit the ball again and scored, I did too and scored again, and she did it again. I prepared myself one more time and shot, but this time, I did it too hard that the goalie fell backwards.
I saw Hayden smirking from the corner of my eye as I walked towards the goalie to help him.
"I'm sorry." I said as he got up. I spotted Kelsey on the grades talking to Mason and Brett. I was about to call her when a guy came running to the field us yelling.
"Does anyone here have asthma? Anyone got an inhaler?"
"Liam!" I turned to Kelsey in the grades; she had an inhaler in her hand. I ran to the grades and she handed me the inhaler. "Find Scott, run!"
Kelsey
"Visible scorpion stingers protruding out of limbs?" I heard Mason and Brett talking as I got closer to them in the grades. "Or three foot lizard tails."
"Hey guys." I said as I sat down behind them, they nodded at me as a reply. "How's Liam doing?"
"Well, he's... doing." Mason chuckled and I looked at the field. Only he and that bitch Hayden were shooting at goal, and the thing was heating up by the moment. Between the shots, I caught Hayden smirking at Liam. Why the hell was she doing that?
"What's up with those two?" Well, finally something about her I wanted to know.
"Sixth grade." Mason pulled out his phone. "That's not the best year for Liam's anger management issues. There was this fight in the hallways. Liam and this other guy. Hayden sort of accidentally walked into it. And this is her yearbook photo." He showed us a picture of Hayden in sixth grade with both eyes black and a tape on her nose. I tried to contain a really hard laugh. Well, I would be angry if someone did that to me too.
"Damn." Brett let go, also containing a laugh. "What did she do to him?"
Mason showed us Liam's yearbook photo. He was exactly, or worse, than Hayden. Now I let out a laugh until I felt tears coming out of my eyes.
"That's so cute." I said between laughs.
"What? Liam's photo or the fact that they fought?"
"Both." A guy running and yelling towards the field caught our attention.
"Does anyone here have asthma? Anyone got an inhaler?"
The first person that came to my mind was Scott. I had a bad feeling. Fortunately, I had an inhaler on my backpack; I always brought it in case someone needed. I looked for it in my bag and once I got it I called Liam. I couldn't run, I was wearing wedges.
"Liam!" He turned to me and came towards my direction. He made it to the grade and I handed him the inhaler. "Find Scott, run!"
He left running and I placed my backpack over my shoulder. But before I could leave to follow Liam, Mason stopped me.
"Wait, Kelsey!" He said. "I have been researching a lot about all of you guys. And I found that werewolves with blue eyes are the ones who had killed an innocent."
"Yeah," I nodded. "That's why Malia has them. She killed her family in a car accident."
"Yeah, I know." He said. "But what about you? Why do you have them?"
What?
Liam
I helped Scott to get up after he used the inhaler. He just had an asthma attack and he didn't even move when I got to him.
I got out the class, making my way through the people who had just stopped to see what was happening. I looked for Kelsey in the hall; I thought she was following me. Instead of her, I found Hayden. She smiled at me and looked down before turning around. I felt myself smiling, even though I shouldn't. We were starting to make up, but this chills I got when we were close, and how she made me smile when she did...
"Liam, dude!" Mason and Brett coming in my direction thankfully interrupted my thoughts. "I so fucked up." Mason said trying to catch his breath. "I'm sorry, I didn't know."
"What are you talking about?" I asked confused.
"Kelsey now knows she has blue eyes." Brett said and my eyes widened at Mason. Oh, no. "It was an accident." Brett defended him.
"Where is she?" I said trying to not panic. This wasn't good, not at all.
"We brought her to the boys locker room, it was the one we knew it was totally empty." Mason told me and I nodded. "She's freaking out, please go."
Fuck.
