I keep pacing the width of the hospital hallway. It's hard for me not to do anything else.

She didn't respond fast enough. Not fast enough for my liking.
I had to bring her here.

"This might not have happened. Only if I stayed with her. Only if she told me she was light headed." I quietly say to myself.

"Mr Hutcherson." I hear my new surname been said by a nurse and I turn my head to see one. By Katniss' door.

"Miss Lawrence is awake and asking for you." The nurse says and I nod, following her in.

As I enter the room her eyes meet mine and I take a huge sigh of relief. She's awake and okay.

"Jennifer." I exclaim quietly, using her alias for when we're in public.

"Joshua." She replies and I run up to her, talking her cheeks in my hands and giving her a couple of kisses.

"You scared me." I state and Katniss brings her hands up to rest against my cheeks.

"I'm okay." She reassure and strokes my left cheek with her thumb.

"Excuse me." A doctor says, I didn't even know she was in here. We turn to look at her.

"We managed to complete and pregnancy test after your request Mr Hutcherson." I stand up straighter and Katniss' hands slip to my arms.

"We can confirm that yes, Jennifer is pregnant." My eyes widen and mouth slightly hangs open at the answer. I turn back to Katniss and she sends me a worried glance.

"I'm sorry." I whisper to her.

"Come here." She instructs and I rest my head beside hers. She wraps her arms around me the best she can, since she has an IV attached.

"This is all my fault. I'm so sorry." I whine and tears start to flow out of my eyes.

Katniss doesn't say anything, her hand just runs along the side of my face. I hear her sniff, idea too hard for either of us to take in right now.

I realised its happened. She's expecting. But we aren't even engaged and she's only twenty-three.

"She's nearly two weeks along." This brings us both down into sobs and she buries her head against mine.

We just stay there. I can't be bothered doing anything else.

I'm so useless.

It's my fault she's pregnant.

How can she love me now?
