Guess who just got an early release from school!!!! I DID!!!!
I mean, sure it was only twenty minutes, but still. We all thought it would get closed earlier but we were wrong. Today we're supposed to get 5-8 inches. Michigan is experiencing Winter Storm Chloe!!!!! YEAH!!!!!
Hopefully that means snow day tomorrow(fingers crossed, knock on wood).
Guess I'll have to go through the elementary school 'make a snow day' routine.
I know that some of you are southerners and might not know of the routine. Basically, it's a rain dance for snow days.

-Pajamas inside out and backwards

-Flush 2-3 ice cubes down the toilet

-Stack pennies on your windowsill (1 for every inch of snow you want)

-Sleep with a spoon(some say frozen spoon) under your pillow in hope that you'll get so much snow that you have to dig yourself out with the spoon

In elementary school everyone would remind you to do that the night before a snowstorm and if we didn't have a snow day, people would interrogate every kid in the class. If someone forgot the routine, it was their fault that we didn't have a snow day.

Anyway... I live in a rural town(deja vu, I think I've said that before!) and we have tons of dirt roads and lots of those roads are on very steep hills next to one of our two rivers so we get cancelled whenever it's icy. Plus, the roads drift really badly.

Did any of you in the south get any snow this past week? My friends in Mississippi got 3 inches! If you did, was it packing snow? Did it stick?
