Debating
Okay, I have some stories currently published that I should be working on. One Bandstand fic, a Newsies fic, and a Newsies one shot book.
In addition I have a Newsies fic that I'm working on the first few chapters of that I intend to publish soon. Plus, I said last year that I was going to do a short Newsies Christmas book and I never got around to finishing it, so I want to do that in December.
But I've run into a bit of a problem here. Namely, NaNoWriMo.
I want to try it.
For anyone who doesn't know, it stands for National Novel Writing Month and it takes place on the NaNoWriMo website in November.
The idea is that from 12:01 on November 1st to 11:59 on November 30 you have to write a novel(50,000 words--about 1,667 per day). If you complete the goal, you are a 'winner'.
Usually people do original works, but it says any genre is welcome. I kind of want to do an original work though because I've been a writer since I was little. For a couple years now I've had original ideas floating around my head that won't leave me alone and last school year we had to write a short story and I loved mine.
Since then I've planned to turn that into a full work and this seems like a great opportunity.
But if I do that I'll be so busy. I already know that this school year is going to be crazy, and I already have three stories going with the possible addition of two more.
I really want to try it, but I'm not sure if it'd be a good idea. I'm not even sure if I'm capable of writing a good original work.
Should I go for it or just wait until next year?
This is soooo frustrating.
