It's been about a week since Washington had broke his favorite cup.

It's also around Father's Day, and I have been considering saying something.

I get confused on weather I should or not so I call John over in hopes of distracting my mind a little.

John eventually comes over "did you get ur dad something for father's day?" I blink, there is no way he's talking about Washington I mean I see the man as a father figure but how would he know that

"You mean like that jug of milk he never got?" John laughed

"Not your father Alex your dad, Washington!"

I squeaked "I g-guess he is like my dad kinda..."  John nodded " I'll leave so you can go get him a Father's Day present"

"Hush I already got one!!!" I whined "oh where is it?" I grumble "target? I already know what I want to get him though!"

John scuffed "Father's Day is tomorrow go get it, I'll hang with you later"

I let out a tiny huff then go to Target once he leaves.

The cup that Washington broke said '#1 boss'

The cup that I ended up getting him with a coffee mug that said '#1 dad'

Once everything was sorted out erupted the present and went to sleep waiting for tomorrow.

Once I'm at work I knock on Washington's door "enter" he hums as I walk in with the wrapped up mug set it on his counter "this is for you!!!"

I  hustled back to my office without another word.

Then my da- Mr Washington comes to my office.

"Thank very much Alexander" he was clearly happy with the gift.

"Of course da- sir!!" I see his grin only grow as his eyes water.

"H-happy father's day, please don't cry!" I explained as I'm lifted up and squeezed into a hug.

"Thank you son!" He doesn't let me go for a really long time and he didn't stop smiling since that.

(Later that night)

Once work ended I went home and got a call from Martha Washington.

"Hello!" I answered as I hear a hum on the other line "Alexander dear, please don't do that again."

"Hm? What?" I asked in confusion

"You see George has been crying since he got home and bragging about how much he likes his cup he's already had three cups of coffee in it before I told them to just put water in it if he wants to use it so much."

I snorted "wow, well I'm glad he likes the mug... That's honestly kind of funny"

"Yeah cuz you're not dealing with it, go along and get some sleep now good night bye"

I said goodbye before hanging up. Then I laid in bed thinking about how he actually is a pretty good dad eventually falling asleep.
