[10] Fallen Sister
Kelsey's POV
Do you ever get those days where you just feel invisible? Like when you're in a crowded room and no one notices you're there. That feeling of emptiness filling you're entire body, and your brain feels as if it's been shut down.
Well, I'm having one of those days today.
I woke up feeling completely drained, not paying attention when I was pouring the milk into my cereal, over flowing the bowl. Then I found myself sitting in the shower for an hour and a half just staring into nothing.
I think it's because I've been seeing Erica in my dreams. Well I wouldn't call them dreams, more like nightmares.
The night I found her body, the way she laid there motionless...it keeps replying in my head. It feels real, and I don't know how to stop it. I can't sleep at night, I can't even bare to close my eyes because I'm too afraid to.
Feeling my phone vibrate against my leg, I pick up the phone, unlocking the screen before reading at the messaged.
From: Peter
EMERGENCY MEETING!!
GET OFF YOUR ASS AND COME TO THE LOFT!!
NOW!!
Wow, I didn't even know I had Peter's number, he must've taken my phone and added it himself or something, because I don't remember asking for it. I guess I better get going if it's an emergency meeting.
Once I was at the loft, I didn't feel up to facing Derek, so I decided to just stand in front of the door for awhile. But it didn't last long since Peter dragged me in telling me to "man up".
Around the table, Derek stood facing the window, Boyd and Cora around the side, and Peter and myself on the other side of the table. They haven't told me why I'm here yet, they haven't really said anything, just mostly looking back and forth from the table where a bunch of papers were scattered.
I can't tell they're planning something, something big and probably very stupid that we could end up being killed or brutally injured. "I know where they are." My brother shouted as he came through the loft door.
"Same building as the Argents, we know." Derek replied. Hmm, if they're in the same building as the Argents, does that mean Chris and Allison know that?
"Cora and I followed the twins." Boyd said, looking at my brother who was slowly walking towards the table. "Then they want you to know."
"Or, more likely, they don't care." Peter added.
Why would they want us to know where they are? "What is this?" Scott asked, looking at the paper scattered table. "Isn't it obvious? The schemers are scheming, coming up with a coup de main, better known as a pre-emptive strike."
"You're going after them?" Scott asked.
"Tomorrow. And you're gonna help us." Derek said, looking in Scott's direction before turning towards me. "You both are." Oh great, the first time I can really kick some ass, are a bunch of extremely powerful alphas.
"They're one floor above them in the penthouse, right above Allison." Derek told us. "So kill them first, that's the plan?" I ask.
Boyd nodded. "They won't even see it coming."
"Why is the default plan always murder? Just once, can someone try to come up with something that doesn't involve killing everyone?" Why does Scott always have to be the goodie-goodie and try to come up with a "better solution" that's always less fun and sometimes ends up going wrong.
But then again, he does have a point. Killing them would make us just as bad as they are. "You never get tired of being so blandly moral, do you? Not that I disagree with him." Peter tells my brother.
"I do. Why do we need this kid?" Cora asks. Kid? I thought Cora was around the same age as us. "This kid helped save your life. And you know we can't just sit back and wait for them to make the first move." Derek told his younger sister.
"You can't beat a pack of alphas."
"That's why we're going after Deucalion, just him." Cora tells Scotty. "Cut off the head of the snake and the body dies." Boyd comments. Deucalion a snake, no. He's more like the Hydra.
"Only this isn't a snake, it's a hydra. And like Scott says, they're all alphas." Huh, Peter seems to know the words I would've used. "Deucalion's still the leader."
"Let's hope so. Because you know what happened when Hercules cut off one of the heads of the hydra?" Wow, I never knew Peter was so into his Greek mythology, seems we have that in common.
"Two more grew back in its place." I answered. Peter looked at me with proud smile forming on his face. "Somebody's been doing their summer reading."
"Always." I smile back.
***
"We can't fight them, Kelsey. We won't win." My brother tells me for the ten thousandth time. "Wow, you're just full of positivity. Have a little faith, brother."
Scott stands up from his bed. "I'm begging serious, Kels. Maybe we can come up with some sort of truce, and they'll leave us alone." Is he being serious right now? We're talking about the alpha pack here. A bunch of psychotic alphas that are way much more worse than when Peter was a red-eyed lunatic. And that's saying something.
"As if they'll actually consider a truce. Scott, they'll fricken crazy killing machine alphas, they're not going to leave us alone." I tell him. "You don't know that until we ask." What, so he's just going to strut towards them and simply ask for a truce? There's no way in hell that will work.
"What? You're not going now?" I ask, half confused. Scott walks towards the door, gripping onto the door knob with his hand, and the other holding his motorbike helmet. "Yes, I am. Now, you're either with me, or without me." God dammit, Scotty. Why do you do this?
Just as I'm about to reply with my answer. My curly-haired furby of a boyfriend pushes open the door as Scotty pulls, causing him to step back. Isaac smiled before looking confused. "Where are you two going?" He asks.
Oh god. We can't tell Isaac what we're doing, he'll want to come with us. It's bad enough in going, but I couldn't of just let Scott go alone. "We were going to get some, uh." Damn, what do I say?
Turning to Scott, I look at him for help. "Uh, we were gonna go get some food to eat." Scott scratches the back of his neck whole telling Isaac, who I think seems to be buying it. "Oh, cool. I'll come with you." Isaac smiled.
"Nah, dude, it's okay. We can eat alone."
"Yeah, it's sort of a brother-sister tradition thing we do." Okay, I think I was wrong, Isaac isn't buying anything, he's just playing along. And he's definitely not taking a hint. "What are you getting?" Isaac asks.
"Uh, Mexican." My brother answers.
"Dude, I love Mexican." Curly-furby said with a wide smile. Ha, curly-furby, good new nickname, I could get used to that. "Isaac. We can eat alone, it's okay."
"You're not going alone. Come on." Isaac says.
"Okay, but I'm riding my own bike, so Isaac you'll have to go with Scotty."
***
I followed behind Scott and Isaac on my bike, which lead us in the middle of the abandoned mall. I'm surprised at how many abandoned buildings we actually have in Beacon Hills.
It's a shame no one does anything with them, like pimp them up with street art or use them for events and such. Parking my bike next to Scott's, I pull off my helmet before getting off the bike.
Scott and Isaac stood by me. "We're just gonna talk to him, try to reason with him. That's it, all right?" Scott asked us both, before turning to look at Isaac with a confused expression. "What?"
Isaac looked up from the ground. "Nothing. It's just that, uh, I'm actually kind of hungry now." Isaac answered. Come to think of it, I am too. "So am I." My brother and I said in sync.
As we walked closer to the escalators, my hands started to get all hot and clamy as I noticed Deucalion was already there waiting. "You didn't come alone." He spoke, more to Scott than myself and Isaac.
"Yeah, I know. This is Isaac and Kelsey." Scott answered. "I'm not talking about Isaac or your sister." Wait, what? How did Deucalion know I was Scott's sister?
Hearing footsteps from behind, I glanced round to my left to see Derek fully shifted into a werewolf, along with Cora and Boyd in the distance. What are they doing here? "You knew I would do this? Derek, don't. You can't do this and no one gets hurt. If someone else dies..." I hate to say this, but Scott's right.
Someone will get hurt, just like every time. "Him. Just him." Derek replies.
"Just me?" Deucalion asked, slightly moving a step forward. "Now, how's a blind man find his way into a place like this all on his own?" And just after that was said, sounds of rocks hitting the ground forced our heads to snap in the direction it was coming from.
A bare-footed lady who is in a seriously need of a pedicure slid down a wall, before jumping on the floor with a loud-ish thud.
Then another pair of footsteps appeared as a man came closer. The same man from the hospital elevator that tried to take Isaac. The one that attacked Scott and I before Derek got to him. The one I'm going to beat the shit out of.
And again, footsteps from above, coming from the hot asshole twins, Ethan and Aiden. Great, this was such a stupid idea. I knew Deucalion would never consider a request of truce.
Isaac grabbed my hand tightly, knowing full aware of what's coming. I wish we didn't come here, it's going to turn into a complete blood bath and no one will come out of it without a scratch. Suddenly, Derek growled as he leaned forwards. The shoeless women walked towards Derek before fighting him with her feet kicking and slashing his face.
Ethan and Aiden back flipped off the upper floor, before one of them throwing his arm on the others back. When they landed, they weren't two separate people, they were fully merged into one scary big bad wolf.
Boyd made his way over to other man from the elevator before clawing at each other's throats. Derek was still getting his ass kicked by the toe women, but he had a few punches at her. Myself, Isaac and Scott were stood still, not knowing where to start. While Deucalion was still stood on the escalator staring down at everyone creepily.
Isaac glanced at the twins already fully shifted, ready to kick the shit out of it's fugly-ass face. With his eyes glowing golden, he charged at the twins within a flash of lightning but was stopped by the morphed man when pushed backwards.
Seeing this, Scott transformed into his werewolf form to help up my boyfriend, but ended up being thrown into the wall like it was nothing. Holy shit, I don't know if I'm ready yet. I know I done all this training over the summer, and I want to fight for my fallen sister...but I don't know if I can do this.
You can do this, I know you can.
What? Who said that?
Be strong, sister. Fight for your redemption.
Erica? I will fight for you. Letting out a loud growl, my fangs pushed at my gums, eyes turned amber gold. That's when the adrenaline kicked in, making my eyesight turn to a blood red colour as I charged at the twins with extended claws. Making my first move, I slashed at Ethan and Aiden's thick skin.
Bad move. The morphed man shoved me back where I landed hard on the concrete by my brother and Isaac. Bloody hell that hurt, they'll pay for that. The three of us got back on our feet, staring at our target.
I leaped forwards first, throwing a few punches in it's abnormal face and then slashing at it's ripped torso before only being slashed back. Ignoring the agonizing pain, I carried on with the slashing as both my brother and boyfriend took their punches at Ethan and Aiden.
But it didn't make any difference since it healed quickly, them being powerful blood thirsty alphas. And being slashed by alphas isn't going to heal as fast, especially when their claws sink deep into your skin. Once again, I was pushed down at the concrete floor, but this time, I couldn't get up. The agonizing pain returned, stopping me from returning to fight. And it wasn't healing as fast as I wanted it to.
Trying to get up was a waste of time since everyone else was pinned down to the floor by the alphas. Looking up to the escalator, Deucalion still hadn't moved his lazy ass from his spot. After a slight nod at his pack members, he began making his way down the stairs.
"Kill him. You're beaten. The others can go." Deucalion sighed, looking in the direction of the alpha who was pinning down Boyd. Boyd looked exhausted, much like most of us, he has blood dripping from his mouth. "Do it, Derek. Take the first step." The leader of alphas said, slightly moving his cane.
"Are we serious with this kid? Look at him. He's an Alpha? To what? A couple of useless teenagers?" The shoeless lady scoffed as she had her bare foot hovering at Cora's neck. "Some have more promise than others." Deucalion interrupted, gazing at Scott, even if it was through his sunglasses.
"Let him rise to the occasion then." The bare-footed women spoke again. "What'll it be, Derek? Pack or family?" She asked, shoving her foot harder on Cora's throat. Oh god. How is Derek supposed to choose? I know couldn't.
Suddenly, a whooshing sound echoed the room, breaking the silence. An arrow came out of nowhere, puncturing Ethan and Aiden in the chest. But where did the arrow...Allison. Looking around, I locked eyes with the culprit. She has her bow in hand, arrows at the ready. She's like the female version of Hawkeye.
Miss Hawkeye began shooting more arrows. "Your eyes....cover your eyes!" Deucalion shouted. Taking Deucalion's advice, I covered my eyes by bringing my head to my knees and resting my arms on top of my head. All I could hear were loud swooshes shooting passed my ears, along with an explosion sound once the arrow had hit it's target.
After all the fighting, the disagreeing, and the shooting arrows, it was finally over...well, for now it was. With a slight struggle, I helped Cora up from the concrete floor as she was the closest to me. Everyone else managed to get up from their feet too.
Just as I was about to walk towards the direction of Scott, the alpha from the elevator who was fighting Boyd, beat me to it by bashing into him with full speed. He grabbed ahold of Scott before shoving him back. Lucky for Scott, he just by skidded with his claws extended along the floor.
Scott came to a stop, picking himself up before charging at the alpha. Derek suddenly came up from behind the alpha and grabbed him. Taking turns at slashing each other, both alphas began to loose their balance.
Oh god, no. Within a flash, I began speeding towards where Derek and the alpha are starting to fall. Trying to grab Derek's hand with every ounce of energy I had left, he slipped through my fingers. "Derek!" I shouted as he and the other guy hit the bottom. "No, no, no!"
This can't be happening. It's all a dream. Why does everyone I love and care about, always die? I refuse to cry, I have to be strong. Derek would want me to be strong and put on a brave face.
Hearing slight footsteps behind me, I turn my head to see Isaac and Scott who look just as shocked as me. Isaac pulled me up from the edge where you can just see Derek and the alpha laying motionless on the stairs of the escalator.
He's gone. Derek's gone.

Hey y'all amazing people!
I'm so sorry I haven't updated in so long...lets just say I've been busy with new ideas and future chapters you'll hopefully be excited for. I have everything planned for the future. And I might or might not introduce some new characters...(or maybe they've already been mentioned)...you'll just have to wait and see ;)
So what did y'all think of that chapter? Kelsey got kicked out of the loft, fought the alphas, heard Erica's voice giving her advice and motivation, and she lost Derek over the edge.

Guys, I finally I started watching Supernatural, after so many years. But I will catch up soon, as you may know, I am the master of laziness and will happily watch two seasons in one day. There is one question I want to ask...who is the better Winchester brother, Sam or Dean? Because I can't decide, I love them both. But I must say, I do have a soft spot for Dean. And don't get me started on Castiel, and Adam, dayum! Gotta love Jake Abel ;)
Okay...I'm sorry if you haven't caught up with The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, because I'm probably going to spoil it for you...so if you don't like spoilers, don't read the next part.
I was catching up with The Vampire Diaries and after so many fights and friendly hugs, Stefan and Caroline FINALLY kissed, I was so happy! I ship steroline, because they are so cute together, and I think they both deserve each other after the things they've both been through. And then later on in the episode; Caroline's mom, Liz dies...you don't know how much I cried. I feel so sorry for Caroline. And Damon, Liz was his best friend...THE FEELS!!
And The Originals...I have to say, Hayley and Jackson's wedding ceremony was beautiful. I feel sorry for Elijah though, because he loves Hayley ands she's with Jackson which sucks. Aiden and Josh make a cute couple, aww. FRAYA IS STILL ALIVE OMG!! And Finn is such a fucking asshole for putting that curse on Kol, now my baby is fucking dead!! I cried a river when Davina and Kol were dancing before he was going to die, and then when he died...I cried the fricken ocean. He was one my favorite Mikaelson brothers, and now he's dead, again. But this time, he's not coming back!! WHYYYYYYYYY?!
But I guess one good thing to Kol's death, is that Daniel Sharman (playing Kol, possessing Kaleb) hopefully, might return to Teen Wolf as my favorite werewolf, Isaac Lahey. The reason I think this is because Daniel Sharman said he didn't want to die and be cut off the show...which is why he left town with Chris Argent. So...maybe, he'll come back in the new season. But let's not forget, Colton Haynes who also left the show. Maybe Jackson will come back at some point in the future seasons too.
