TombWalker

OC by StarstruckZodiac

Name: Tombwalker (Her father named her Tombwalker because he remembered a how he met her mother: he was exploring a tomb when this gorgeous SandWing showed up and yeah.)
I love that name! It's so beautiful and mysterious!

Tribe: Sand/Night
Sand/Night hybrids are my favorite hybrids

Gender: Female

Age: 18 (36 in human years)

Sexuality: Straight

Residence: A series of interconnected huts by an oasis in the middle of the desert
Honestly this sounds like the place where my dream dragons would live, and so few people use the idea of 'some random small village like place'. It's just strange to me that no one would use such a cool idea.

Occupation: DETECTIVE YO
And suddenly this is my favorite dragon I've ever met wow XD

Queen they Support: Tomb doesn't support any queen, but if it comes to a point where she HAS to support a queen, she pastly supported Blister and now she supports Thorn.

Family: She knows her mother was a SandWing but never got to meet her, and she knew her mother's name was Desert. And her father is a 48 year-old NightWing named Revenge, with the norm NightWing looks but he's pretty battle-worn with many scars along his neck and sides.
Revenge is a cool name, and it makes sense for a NightWing. Desert is a somewhat normal SandWing name, but makes sense.

Friends: Usually solitary, but she did have a NightWing friend named Atomi (a friend's character), but the small NightWing didn't impact her life at all.
Atomi is a cool name

Abilities: Tomb can breathe fire, and she does have a tail barb, but it produces less venom than a normal SandWings' (but she isn't a normal SandWing tho, so that's to be expected). Originally, when I first thought her up, she was an animus, but that's cliche and OP so she isn't animus. She could definetly survive without water for an unusual amount of time, yet not quiiite as long as a pure SandWing could. But, with her darker scale patterns, it would be difficult to hide in the sand. But with the lighter scales, she cannot blend into shadows either. And no, she has no moon powers.
Cool. (And I think everyone has had an OC that had moon powers or Animus so don't be worried about that)

Appearance: Tomb's scales are basically SandWing coloured, but a few shades darker, and shaped like a SandWing's. The edges of her scales are edged with a darker, more blackish gray colour, and each scale has a tiny silver mark on them. Her sail is purplish black but is a bit thinner than that of a SandWings'. Tomb's wings are the first NightWing-shaped part of her, without having any sharp diamond scales like a SandWing, but the membrane isn't black at all. They're more of a dusty brown, with no silver star scales, but there are blackish veins creeping around near the edges of her wings. Her horns are slightly curved upward and have a bit of a rounded tip, and are a light silver. Tombwalker's underbelly is very very very pale gold. And she does have a nose spike like a SandWing. Her eyes are not black but the darkest shade of brown you can imagine, with a dark moss colour at the edge of the iris. Her pupil is black. Tomb's claws are perfect ebony crescents, and have met blood and flesh many times. Her build is definitly a SandWing's shape, with a large chest and strong, sturdy legs. But her tail is a bit shorter, yet longer than a NightWing's, with a small but wickedly sharp barb at the tip. Her shoulders, forearms, and thighs are well muscled, giving her an intimidating appearance, but she's not the strongest of dragons. Tombwalker has only three scars. The most noticeable scar is the scar running from her collar bone, under her left arm, and over again until it is six inches from her wing. The second scar is the one that just nicks her lower jaw, and the third is one that is quite deep but small in length on her thigh. And she wears many ankle pouches and fanny-pack-like things on her neck and tail when on detective duty. And, lastly, she's no bigger than your average age dragon.
This is the most descriptive appearance I have ever read and she sounds MAGNIFICENT! Everything I've read so far makes me wish she was my OC. XD

Personality: The Sand/Night hybrid is very fierce and cold-hearted, particularly toward dragons who disclude her because of her race. Tombwalker is not afraid to kill a dragon just because she's a detective. And, luckily for her, being a detective means she knows how to cover up her tracks perfectly. She knows the most efficient ways to kill quick and easy. She can get quite snappy toward dragonets especially, finding them annoying and dumb. In her view, a dragon under the age of 8 is useless. Tomb, despite being tough and hardy, is actually terrified of snakes. Particularly dragonbite vipers. She was there for that queen election in book five. She saw what happened to Clay, and didn't want it to happen to her. She also has a deep hatred for SkyWings, MudWings, IceWings, and SeaWings. Because they are from the opposite sides of the war and/or they aren't a part of her close bloodline. Tomb doesn't present herself to public often, so she has a small bit of stagefright. Your cold-hearted hybrid does have a tiny ember of happiness/love for cooking, but doesn't consider becoming a chef or making it a hobby. She simply wants to be able to have fine food. Tomb's sharp attention span makes it so much easier for her to do her work, to the point that she is so good that she's in a top rank for detective work.
This flows so well! I love this OC! I can't imagine how much time you spent making her, she's fantastic! And every weakness she has makes sense, while every strength does as well.

Strengths: She is quite a good runner, so being pretty fast is one point for Tomb. Next, she's also an exceptional flier, so strike two for the hybrid. Tombwalker knows how to fight and win, she knows how to kill, and she knows how to dodge and strike. This makes her an excellent hunter. She can cook great too (already mentioned).

Weaknesses: Tombwalker has and always will fear not ever fitting in and being exiled from the ones she trusts. Thus she has anxiety (oof I should've included this in her personality aaaargh), and constantly worrying that if she does something wrong at work she'll be kicked out. But her co-workers and higher-ranks are basically the only dragons who don't really care about her hybridisim. She also is the WORST swimmer you could ever meet in Pyrrhia. Obviously she has instinct to swim back to shore if thrown in, but she has no idea how to dive or duck or flip over or even control which way she swims. Lord please teach her to properly swim before there's an underwater mission. Tombwalker has a bad habit of getting angry easily... I can't explain it. She's like Red from Angry Birds. She tries her hardest and then slowly graduates from passive agressive to physical. And after that she gets spiteful and will leave camel dung in some dragon's treasure box.
The swimming part made me laugh, no offense. It seems so out of character at first glance, but once you really think about it it makes perfect sense for her. And the camel dung part made me laugh too. But the weaknesses all make sense, and I congratulate you on that. It's super difficult to find that balance that makes the weaknesses make sense,

Likes: Cooking, her job, Atomi (she misses her), sunbasking, daytime, evening/dusk when the mirages turn gray, and (ironically) she especially likes it when she has a case in a tomb or interconnected passages.

Dislikes: Water, nighttime, cold weather, IceWings, SeaWings, SkyWings, MudWings, dragons that she's not particularily close to, joyful personalities, darkness, being dejected, and she has a really wierd fear of frogs... She's a frog magnet, frogs love her, but she's terrified of their long springy legs, beady eyes, and slimy skin.
Ribbit

Backstory: Tombwalker's parents met in that tomb from the Night Kingdom to the Rain Kingdom. Desert was exploring the Sand Kingdom when she stumbled across the tunnel, went through it, and found another tunnel. So she went through that one and was stopped by the one guard, Revenge. They began talking, not anything personal, but having a kind of chit chat. Revenge would keep trying to force her out of the tunnel, but the SandWing female wouldn't budge. Revenge decided that, well... She was kinda pretty, and she wanted to show him the Kingdom of Sand, so he followed her. It could be an advantage, if the NightWings knew some SandWing secrets they could take over the Sand Kingdom too, and then Revenge would be rewarded. Eventually the two unidentical tribes became close until they wanted to become partners. Not much longer later, Desert found out she was carrying an egg, and eventually she laid it. But the mother never got to meet her daughter. NightWings on patrol that came bursting from the tunnel and finding their scent discovered them and brutally killed Desert, leaving Revenge to quickly grab the dark brownish egg and run. From then on he incubated the egg and hatched it, naming the dragonet Tombwalker. He taught her the 32 ways to kill someone with a knife, how to defend herself and how to dodge attacks from all seven tribes, how to hunt and purify water, and basically how to surivive. They lived on their own in the rainforest. Eventually Revenge became tired of taking care of a young adult dragon and basically kicked Tomb out, so she went out to the desert on her own and survived. She started out with two huts, one for sleeping and medicine and one for food and water. She was close to an oasis too, so yay. Once, a NightWing named Atomi found her and wanted to stay with her, but Atomi tried to steal Tomb's gold and run so she had to kill her. After that, her life was okay. She was surviving and happy.
Atommiiiiii nooooooooo

I also found it funny how you specified with 'her father taught her 32 ways to kill someone with a knife'. Specifically 32, not 31, not 33, 32. And now I'm just imaging someone coming up to her after she killed someone and asking, 'what have you done?' And she says, "I killed them with knife method 13."

Okay, continuing now.

Until one day, when a band of three SandWings cornered her. She already had a large, dangerous butcher knife and was ready to kill them, when the leader- a large male with one eye- offered her the detective job. Reluctlantly, she accepted, and became a detective's assistant. With her keen senses, Tombwalker was good at the beginner's job, and, slowly but surely, she made it up to one of her biggest cases: a NightWing massacre in the Rainforest. She had to solve it and then step up in front of a huge audience and explain how she did it. Having no contact with more than six dragons at once, Tombwalker was terrified, but her fear of losing her spot and job was greater. So, despite her terror, Tomb explained step by step how she solved the mystery. After that, she earned her identity: Tombwalker the Murder Detective. Tomb was proud, and all the gold she had made gave her the choice to make her hut bigger. But she decided to be more creative: she made her home an interconnected web of huts, each one with a different purpose. There were only about... Maybe 12, but they were a good size, so they weren't too big nor to small. But, at one of the best peaks in her life, Tomb was attacked by a SkyWing troop. She managed to kill all six, but not without scarring herself. All three scars were from the struggle. Luckily Tomb was able to make it to the medical hut before passing out. She even got the bandages loosely on her wounds. After that, when she woke up, she was quite sick. She treated herself the best she could, but couldn't heal without leaving scars. Oh well, she had thought.

Eventually word of the heroic 'Dragonets of Destiny' spread throughout and before she knew it she and the detective agency was requested to join the big meeting of the three SandWing queens. Sitting along the sidelines, Tomb watched with menacing curiosity as Blister gave the hissing present to Burn. However, the beefy eldest sister wasn't fooled. She hissed something at the SandWing dragonet of Destiny. Opening the box, Burn brought out a writhing dragonbite viper. Tombwalker noticed a movement behind Burn just as Blister growled, "Oh, did I forget to tell you I got two?" and the gaping jaws of another viper clamped down of Burn's leg. The crowd erupted into a frenzy, different colouring wings flapping around and tails smacking into Tomb's face. This was the most terrified she'd ever been, and she was pumped with adreneline. She had leapt to the sky and flew away as fast as she could, as fast and far away as she could get from the dragonbite viper. Just as the crowd was becoming out of earshot she heard a howl of pain. A dragon was bitten. After some hours, Tombwalker was miles away from danger. The cold night had settled in, sinking into her scales, and forcing her to burrow into the sand in an attempt to contain body heat. She became hungry and was forced to eat some sort of frog. Pale yellow, slightly drizzled in grains of sand, Tombwalker was forced to eat the crunchy little amphibian. It was disgusting, and soon enough, she was crowded by little yellow frogs demanding answers with their tiny squeaks. Tombwalker forced herself to eat all of them. After that, she flew all the way back to her home, and tried rinsing her mouth and throat of the sticky, mucusy sand. By this time she was about 16. And, for the next two years, the main thing she did was work, hunt, and feed. Sometimes she came across epic battles with frogs (or SkyWings), but her life became pretty simple.
Epic frog battles

RIIIIIIIBIIIIIIIIIIITTTTT

Okay then, well, I'm telling you right now, this is the best dragon I've ever seen. With no offense to anyone else of course, because I'm assuming this is an old OC that has had a lot of work put into them.

Anyway, I found no faults with this OC. 10/10 well done!
